[Music] Good morning and welcome in to the Captain J. Hood Morning Show on ESPN 1000 and streaming on the ESPN Chicago app with David Kaplan Jonathan Hood with you on this bear's victory Monday. Don't forget we're here for medieval clues coming up at 8.28 but first shot or no shot with Shane Orland. Good morning boys on a bear's victory Monday feels very good today. Caleb Williams 300 yards passing again how we feeling? Feeling good man we got a quarter back here again there's going I'm gonna say it again there will be days where we're like oh god how did he throw that pick that happens man but it's a process it's a process it's a process but we got a guy we finally have our guy yeah yeah again you just like incremental progress week in and week out and hopefully that continues against Jacksonville and then you have your buy then you feel really good about the ball club and where things are but again you got to keep moving forward every week getting better and this NFL you can have momentum but it could just be taken away from you just like that because of how wild this league is college end pro quite frankly but the NFL in particular. So I told you I thought and I want to ask coach that I thought the drive to get the first touchdown to DJ was so important it was paramount you cannot go three and out they score and now oh god we don't score we turn it over or we go out three and out again they come down and score again now you're like oh boy they're booing everyone you know tightens all right Jay what do we have for a shot or no shot I'll just say bring an a game kid all right let's get started your von Dexter has arrived he has four sacks in five games he's been an absolute pressure machine still ranks near the very top among all defensive tackles in football in pressure rate and pass rush win rate he's been awesome and continued his hot streak yesterday with a fumble recovery four quarterback hits and a sack you can go ahead and compare that to the quote unquote best defensive tackle in the draft the same year as dravon Dexter Jalen Carter who currently does not have a sack in four games this season Ryan polls may have yet another winner on the defensive side of the ball out of the draft shot or no shot we can forget about dravon Dexter being good he might be a pro bowler that's a shot he's got four sacks in five weeks he spent the off-season training he said like a wide receiver and a marathoner and got his body completely remade yet his 23rd birthday on saturday this dude's got if he stays healthy a decade of dominant football eight years of dominant football ahead of him yeah i believe that's a shot at this particular time cap because we're watching him be a difference maker in that defensive line we wondered coming into the season besides montes sweat who else could be able to be a difference maker on the line i think again every week someone's popping up to be able to be a difference maker for this defense it's not necessarily about having eight or nine sacks in a game it's just about being able to put pressure on the quarterback and we've seen a lot of that with the bear so far so yeah i think that is definitely a shot that's a guy we were looking forward to seeing how he could develop and guess what so far so good so far so good it's it feels like this is what iba flus needed for this defense to really go to the top is that engine in the middle of it and gervon dextor becoming that guy not having to spend 20 million dollars to go find him like i was upset they didn't get christian wilkins but if gervon dextor is going to play like this and andrew billings is going to play like this you didn't need him correct that's why free agency is not the panacea for everything that ails you it's just not like when you overpay for christian wilkins what do you do to the development of a guy who's 22 years of age before saturday got to let these guys play man all right everybody can go ahead take a deep sigh of relief with the offense and especially with cala williams after three weeks of national conversation that the bears selected the wrong quarterback they should have taken jadon daniels cala williams looked like a bust a diva whatever people were calling him he is put together two straight games to quiet the haters the game against the rams wildly efficient with the touchdown pass to dj more and then yesterday big yardage day going over 300 yards in a dominant win over the panthers getting the two touchdowns and posting a passer rating north of 120 shot or no shot cala williams has put himself back in the mix for rookie of the year that's a shot absolute shot he keeps taking steps jonathan okay he's always been in that conversation it depends on how many yards that he gets and what his production is i just think that looking at what he's been able to do so far i've always thought that he was in the conversation will it continue to be in the conversation at this point in time yes that's up to him it's totally up to him so totally up the offensive coordinator and the line the weapons are there he just has to execute it just like he has the last couple weeks the rams game that we saw on sunday tells me that the arrows pointing up for cala boiams you know shay and i know that all these talk shows and these football shows and podcasts need to be able to have content and things to talk about but you know from my standpoint cala boiams was not the drags of society as far as a quarterback positions because he was never the worst you know what the worst is that's the john watson you want to see someone that's really struggling at the quarterback position that's struggling when he comes to cala boiams it's just that he needed to be on the same page it wasn't like he's getting buried uh behind the line of scrimmage every single game because that wasn't the case it just wasn't a connection with dj more with his receivers with uh shane waldren as you see the last couple of games you could see the uh semblance of uh his days at usc where he's connecting to his weapons so he was never the worst you know the worst is cleveland that's where he could find the worst oh god can you imagine having a he's owed a hundred and fifty million more to sean watson mhm their team is horrible and it's this is not a coaching thing like stephans he's one coach of the year twice that guy and coach mhm but they've done a horrible job with that to sean watson decision well it was always laughable hoodie that three weeks into a player's career you're going you selected the wrong quarterback and you um he's a bust you should have taken jit it's three weeks into the career like i get it if we see a full season of calibilliums looking like brice young and jaton daniel says what he is and you want to have the national conversation did the bears take the wrong quarterback yes three weeks in what are we doing like he like he stinks like he like he'll never get it you know he doesn't get it brice young doesn't get it because you know why it wasn't just by by a week it's just watching a season of it and you're saying boy he needs some help you know not just coaching off it's a line but just he needs help correct so just that that's why i always think about the great jeff dikerson when we were doing shows together and i told him i said we're never going to be on first take you understand that right like we're never going to be our first take but we could be on mile takes that's correct that's like we're never going to have the not i said but we could be on mile takes that mile take would be watch every week make your determination at for that particular week of what's happening with this quarterback that player that team and then went to next week and then commented from that but these big bold declarations and these big bold opinions about Caleb Williams being awful just based on a few games it's just yeah two three hundred yard games already it's unbelievable he's over at almost eleven hundred yards through five games like let's keep going man that's all they wanted four thousand let's go all right she what else do we have uh shim waldren was pretty much public enemy number one after the first three weeks of the season people were blaming all of the offensive struggles on waldren the play calling was called absurd now they've put two solid performances together with this offense a good rushing attack against los angeles and a very complete balanced offensive onslaught yesterday against carolina at one point calib and the bears had more scoring drives than calib had in completions it feels like the heat is off of the bears offensive coordinator as the scheme settles in and starts to click so shot or no shot the waldren slander of the first three weeks was a bit undeserved all right that's a no shot no it was deserved be and you know i was deserved because the players talked to them when you have a team meeting with some of the key elements of the offense and the offensive coordinator this early in the season no it's warranted because you want to get everyone the same page absolutely and even as a fan on the outside looking in cap you say you're the head coach of the offense why does the offense look so stagnant why do you make those calls in the cold game why do you do that it's because waldren has to adjust to the talent that's in front of them he has to realize he's not in seattle anymore that's the whole thing correct like you have a rookie quarterback in which you never coached a rookie quarterback before you got all these weapons offensively you got to figure out how they can all get the football you got to make sure the offensive lines on the set all these things happening so it's warranted absolutely when you struggle in a big boy market like this you will get the slings and arrows and it's deserved absolutely it's deserved it's not that he should be fired be like we heard before but it's like hey shane these veterans in the room are telling you you can coach us harder no question so you said shot or no show what is how was the question phrased the last shot or no shot well the waldren slander the first three weeks was a bit undeserved so no shot no shot it was deserved but he's exactly right when you run kaleel herbert for a wow cat kaleel herbert to the two kaleel herbert to the one and then a speed option with the andre swift yeah no that was deserved criticism and he learned from it but just the idea that they came to the coach and just said hey you're just meeting we want to talk coach at all but that but that's a good thing though great i love that his doors open and they have that type of autonomy to do something like that and he's telling and and by the way last two weeks hands not shaking calm hands if you notice that correct he's holding the place sheet like a man he called the other day and said tell hoodie it was windy in there but not windy he was nursed shaky that's what he was oh god you shaky bastard that's what happened cap uncomfortable oh god what if i call the wrong play cap and jay hooter gonna kick my ass in the morning correct that's but notice calm the calmness of joe she's right coming into the real life you got the place right here that's right blood pressure 120 over 80 was he was fantastic let's go that's when you have confidence not so confident the first few weeks though the shaking play sheet that's it so now i think that that was warranted absolutely all right shake can you get in one more yeah the bears and packers are currently tied at the bottom of the nfc north each at three and two after the packers beat the rams yesterday in los angeles one problem packers have not looked great to me so far this year the defense is very takeaway happy but they've also been gotten when they've played against good offenses particularly filly and minnesota and jordan love has yet to look like the guy we saw at the end of last year instead looking more like the guy we saw at the start of last year more often than not shot or no shot the bears are better than the packers right now did you say gotten yeah that word yeah is it gotten hungry over the last hour it's okay um the bears are better the packers shot or no shot it's the packers man shot shot really we also have the better quarterback he just has to keep proving okay defense too our defense is better than their defense okay they have a better offensive line think we should probably yeah that was gonna say that we should break it down this way packers are a better offensive line to protect your love we yes we have a better um running game they're running games good too josh jacobs is a stud yes uh our defense is better okay our punter is better our place kickers and their place kicker both are their guys are rookie i think our guys proven so i like their play caller better yes the floor mmm so it sounds like it is a lot a little more check marks for the packers no you sure count them up play caller my quarterback i took my wide receiver room i take my tight end room i take my defense i take my punter i gave them the play caller they probably have the best of the group of running backs uh josh jacobs yeah and they're offensive line we we win okay shay is that is that accurate the way he lays lays it out there i mean the head coach means everything play caller and head coach their head coach is more proven than our guy that's just them we're gonna talk to matt that's not a shot at matt that's praise for the other matt that's right that's our lead i just call him peter la floor uh-huh remember him from dodge ball uh-huh yeah i do think defensively the the bears are much better than the packers and that kind of makes the difference for me yeah is offensively i think the bears can close the gap packers offense has been about middle of the pack this season it has not been special bears offense getting better and the bears defense i think is just significantly better than the packers and significantly better most teams i kind of feel like the packers might finish last in this division uh then that's a god absolutely i don't know greatest and by the way that might be a photo finish to the to the bottom the way things this is going on everybody could be 500 against one another who knows in this division holy smokes to be competitive to be clear last place is like nine and eight in the in the nfc north correct that's all it's a shot um because of the things that juice laid out there for me again they have the check market the head coach and play caller but you know that defense is just swarming it's not just the line it's the entire operation defensively it's not a surprise we just have to say it out loud it's amazing how good that defense is our complimentary football is really good it's fair hundred percent fair it is all right we're going to hear from matt he reflose head coach for the bears coming up and your phone calls 312-332-3776 is our telephone number on a bear's victory monday on the home of the bears esp in one thousand um yeah don't welcome back to captain jhood you're officially locked in on chicago's home for sports esp in chicago it's the cap and jhood morning show on esp in one thousand and streaming on the esp in chicago app but with you till ten o'clock then my green bird comes in at ten followed by carment and yurco at twelve it's wildland silvie at two thirty into black and dollar at six thirty right here on the home of the bears esp in one thousand as the bears get the job done defeating the carolina panthers and we're getting your reaction three one two three three two three seven seven six our phone number at thirty six to ten victory for the chicago bears both sides of the football getting the job done but on the defensive side of the football cap mean again just the pressure that the bears put on there was just amazing against the panthers yeah and i thought one of the huge keys in the game was the ability to get the football out on time he had gerald ever it was a big one over the middle so there was a lot to like time to talk to the coach max eber flu super flu hey coach of the chicago bears was really good i mean there was a lot of good situations that we had breaking down the bears and the latest updates all season policies you know there's something really good players on both sides can that person function with that action that eber flues with cabin jayhood on esp and chicago it's a captain jayhood morning show on esp in one thousand and streaming on the esp and chicago app also watch our show on youtube youtube.com make sure you hit the esp and chicago channel and hit that subscribe button as we go to the hotline that'd be the carX tire not a hotline we turn to the head coach for the chicago bears mad eber flues he joins us here on the cap and jayhood morning show good morning coach how are you uh do it well thanks for having me on thanks for coming on coach let's talk about what i thought was the key drive in the game and i know there were a lot of good things but you go three and out they score on a there was some kind of a mix up up front chuba hovers in the end zone and i thought calip taking you down the field and hitting dj for a touchdown that was huge because if you go three and out again and they score again you're like oh god we're down two scores i thought that was a massive statement yeah i really like the way they were sponsored was they're uh on offense uh they good job really good execution um there and obviously the big choke play 34 yards um you know really good protection in it crossing route to dj and uh it's a good run after the catch too coach when you talk about execution it's almost like you're saying hey every individual player every coach has just to do their job you do your job well enough you could be able to increase your chance to win ball games so what's the difference between week one and where the ball club is today yeah just uh more clean execution you know we just get you know we're not perfect but uh protection is better um you know the route disciplines are better you know and the guys are just working to continue and to improve that as we have time on task you know it's uh like we said it's a new offense together and i think we're building um every single week and getting better every single week you say execution though but it was that uh coach mckay from tampus says what do you think of your team's execution he says i'm all for it yeah exactly so so would you so would you say that or execute so would you say execution break that down what does that mean what is it that you tell the players regarding that yeah it's just you know we have a play called uh offense defense and kicking and then sometimes there's an adjustment that needs to be made and the communication needs to be made and then we have to execute that play and uh that that's you know the looks are different you know all those different things but we have to make the adjustments to execute at a high level and when you do that you know the play works and if you want to know how the other team makes a good play and you have to live with that then you just got to move to the next play it's a cycle of the snap and executing one play at a time i want to talk hoodie and i were talking coach about complimentary football and the sequence before halftime you guys go on fourth and one you run roshan and he does not get it four eighteen left in the second and then what is it like to be in your shoes you're the defense of playcaller not just a head coach where you go all right we're not punting from the 39 i don't want to try a 57 yard field goal here but i know what i got in my back pocket is a hell of a defense so it allows you to be more of a gambler in that situation talk about that whole sequence because your defense picked you up yeah you know you look at the margins you know what what when you're gonna go for things uh during the game um and again those are in for the first half and then you got to kind of adjust based on school in the second half and that for us was was a go all the way at that particular point um you know based on wind and based on field goal uh you know kick distance and all that so it was a green light for us uh a no-brainer and uh yeah we didn't get it and uh you know we uh the linebacker made a good play on that particular play and then we end up going three and out uh which was great and on the third down it was a uh really good you know caused fumble by uh brisker and then recovered fumble you know by uh Dexter and that was really good on that one and then we turned that into a touchdown you know and a quick touchdown so we really wanted to score fast there ahead of the two-minute oh so we could double dip on them and uh we end up getting that done so those guys really executed well uh tariq made a stop on downs on fourth and three at the 37 and we come back and score our second touchdown there um you know in the in a short about attack cap did you see the stat about the bear's defense the the bear's pressure the panthers on 21 of 41 drop pack dropbacks which is 49 percent that's the highest pressure rate in a game since 2009 so when we were talking about the bear's defensive line we talked about billings and Dexter and Walker and and sweat and trying to figure out like who's going to be able to emerge this this whole line has been productive they give you something what why are they've been so productive coach well we always say you know the term we say uh rush and cover cover and rush it all goes together so you know when the rush is humming the ball comes out faster um you know when the coverage is really good in terms of guys are you know where they're supposed to be when they're supposed to be there in terms of the coverage contour then it gives them another second to get home another another count to get home um at times so it's always working hand in hand the rush in the cover i do want to ask you about the touchdown throw to DJ we've watched it a billion times here on video where he looks the safety over the safety bites thinking it's Keenan Allen on i think it would have been a post route and then Caleb you can almost see a smile on his face guess what i got him one on one and he puts it where either DJ makes a play or it's incomplete no under throw on the ball that's growth in a quarterback can you take us through that play yeah so it was uh it was a good play designed by the office staff and you know and Shane so they did a really nice job with that um you know he ends up uh you know signaling over to the one side and then um you know for a particular play a short a short play and then obviously you look back uh to the post route uh to DJ and uh did a really good job what DJ did a really good job of was he you know the stem at the top of that route he did a really nice job to create that extra space um so Caleb can throw throw him open right there so it was really good play play design really good operation by uh the whole offense we get this question every now and then from our callers regarding um quarterbacks in the shotgun coach can you remember a time where you've seen so many quarterbacks not just Caleb just talking about quarterback play in general whereas just so many that are in the shotgun there was a time where that was an optional play it was always under center except if there was a certain play correct but what change uh coach when you take a look at quarterback play across the board where seems like it's exclusively in the shotgun yeah i just really think uh the college influence really came into the program and that's where it really comes from so uh to me guys can see better um you know it gives them more vision you know they'll ever have their back to the to the uh to the defense and they can really look into certain what's going on in front of them and uh i think the college you know it's just the way it is now it's just the way it is it's been that way for a long time but i really do think they operate well there i guess cap is just like whatever you're comfortable with in college you bring over to the pros and you just bring that skill set correct is that right coach yeah i would say that's true that's where you saw saw some of the up-tempo stuff you know cams really he's really comfortable doing that and uh he's uh operates well in that hurry it up that necessary hurry it up you know to snap the ball fast but you know really look at the defense get on the line and look at the defense and then get the calls and uh he's operating well that way coach in terms of going to London i was talking to Jonathan about this i love that city i've been there it's awesome but you're going i want a vacation you're going on a business trip you leave tonight can you take us through the decision to leave tonight because i think the last time that bears in London you weren't here yet they left like Thursday night and they thought that was the way to do it take us through that and then how do you let the guys enjoy a super cool trip but it's business we got to get the one and all this week yeah it it is a business trip but you know we got also you know enjoy you know enjoy each other enjoy the time over there and i think that's important you know we're gonna fly outside like you said and then tomorrow the playoffs will have the day off and that's you know getting used to the their clocks and the schedules and all that then Wednesday will have a walkthrough practice uh which will be good for us you know get the bodies acclimated still and then really it's it's about Thursday's gonna be a normal Thursday Friday be a normal Friday practice and Saturday we'll walk through and then Sunday we'll play the game so but to me it's always about your preparation it's always about the focus of and the intent of you know why we're there and that's to play a football game and and to and to compete in that football game we're excited about competing against Jacksonville this week so uh it's just a business trip for us but again we'll have some fun when we're out there and uh get our preparation in this walk why leave tonight is that something that your sleep advisors have told you how did you guys figure on tonight versus what they did the previous staff they left like five days later yeah it was just our performance you know performance staff you know I thought it was best to do it this way and you know I just went over to Italy myself you know in the summer and it's it takes you a day or two to get used to the time and then once you're there about you know three days yeah I think you're you're back on schedule and you can operate the normal normal way and I think that's a good thing to do yeah you've been to London before you got a special spot that you like go to from time to time when you're there yeah I know we uh I was there with the Dallas Cowboys we had a dinner there I think at the palace one night it was really cool it was a cool thing I was looking back in 2014 I believe that's super cool that sounds good yeah what's the fair I mean it's not like American food but I'm sure they give you you know some great food is there any particular thing that you like there food wise the only thing I know is tea and crumpet you want a good steak what the hell are fish and chips that's it I guess I don't know we'll figure it out we'll get over there okay coach as always we appreciate the time good luck this week get the one and oh all right all right Maddie Riffloos the head coach for the bears on the car wrecks tire not Ohio cat and jhood weekday morning seven to ten welcome back to camping jhood on chicago song for sports esp in chicago cat and jhood on esp in 1000 and streaming on the esp in chicago app the bears they blow out carolina by the score 36 to 10 and we're talking to you about it if you were there at soldier field if you got chance to watch or listen to the game we're gonna get your reaction what did you like most about the bears win 3 1 2 3 3 2 3 7 7 6 is our telephone number we just got a chance to talk to Maddie Riffloos the head coach for the bears and he broke it down he said the reason why that they're leaving tonight to go to london is because they talked about it as a staff and they're trying to get their body clocks ready to go for next sunday yeah he said our performance staff which they have an extensive performance staff they study sleep habits and all this stuff and when if if anyone out there's listening and you're going we got a couple people from here that are going you stay up and you sleep on the flight going there i've done the europe thing 15 different times and my wife is an expert in this she's done it more than me stay up all let's say you're leaving tonight you stay up last night all day today you get on that plane and you sleep for your eight hours out when you get up you cannot under any circumstance go take a nap or you are off kilter mm-hmm when you land tomorrow the bears leave at 7 30 tonight yeah what time will they get in nine a.m nine a.m london time london time we're there about eight thirty yeah if you go take a nap you're done you screwed your whole trip up you stay up you go do some sightseeing go eat a meal and you stay up as much as you can until like eight o'clock at night mmm you're exhausted you're done you sleep your eight hours you wake up Tuesday you're on their schedule now i'm good and then they get their day off so they'll go sightseeing they'll hang out they get another good night sleep and when they go back to practice on wednesday with there's a lighter one he said a walkthrough they'll be good they'll be on london time when they're going to really feel it is coming home so and they got they've got the bye week correct and i'm sure a lot of guys will go to mexico and all these places just to get away so they'll have a little vacation from with the bye like four five days and then back at it so again if you are going sleep on the plane tonight or tomorrow whenever you go at night it's usually a night flight i usually take like a six six thirty seven seven thirty eight o'clock flight mmm fly all night sleep i see when i go i'll remember that there you go whenever whenever you would love europe you would love it europe's awesome man is it awesome you would love it i like i like the lakes like lake forest like meadows i like lakes like that lake barrington sure it's like it's it's so different yeah than anything we have here europe is just a different experience and i loved london loved it super cool eric is on the road he's with us here on cap and jay hood as we talk bears hello eric hey what's up man what's up ee what's going on fellas how you doing what's cracking oh man happy happy victory monday to you guys man happy victory monday to you it's good to be three and two now oh man it's a beautiful thing it's a beautiful thing hey uh quick uh well not question but comments about the game um i love everything um i'm a strong believer in improving what needs to be improved and sustaining what uh it's considered our strengths our office definitely stepped it up the office line look way better than what they have uh sitter in the beginning of the season and as far as the defense uh coming in i thought state west that they were ranked uh tenth overall 18th in the run top 10 in the past there was a stat and i was thinking about it and they actually pulled it up at one point time in the game the bears had more touchdowns than carolina had first downs mhm that in itself shows the maturation process in regards to the way they ended last season as far as the defense and they come in an issue you're knowing that they could be good as long as they stick with the scheme and trust in one another uh because you look at the off i mean the defense of wine they are stout they are definitely plugging them to battle uh they're getting better in regards to the run defense so yesterday showed it the linebacker's a movement side to side of uh into the side line the side line a lot better and as far as the secondary the secondary i believe is our strength because they can definitely pick you off or they will knock you out if you come into one of the areas that's an and that's an eberflu's defense eric i mean i gave him that stat i'm sure he already knew but i just wanted to make sure that uh that our listeners knew that they dialed up the uh the pressure 48 percent of the time it's the highest pressure rate since 2009 i want you to think about that like this is against old andy dalton and so eberflu's is like but a good carolina line now good old line but just they said you know what we got to get to dalton and they rattled them so yeah the thing about that is andy has always been good when he's been able to sit back and just be able to pick things apart but as we know throughout washington uh throughout the seasons that he's been playing if you put some pressure on him he's going to make a mistake and he's going to get happy feet and as long as that that is the the process as far as the bares defense i don't see no reason why they can't be great just keep grinding every day e get better today than you were yesterday that's it and get there enjoy london get to work and find a way somehow some way get on a plane one and all this week so you can't get a stake in london uh you can we went to a couple decent restaurants but that it's not american food there it's just not we had great sushi there yeah that was super cool uh fishing chips that's like their big thing could you like it yeah i don't eat greasy fried food i don't eat any fried food hmm other than occasionally i will have like with a burger in order of fries but i'm not a fried chicken guy i'm just not any of that but that's what it is like you go to these pubs and you get a pint and fishing chips it's cool it's fun what kind of fish i don't know what it most probably catech or cotton yeah something like that it's good but you're not going to go in there and think you're going to Ruth's chris steakhouse or chicago cut no well we're out anymore they don't have no catfished and i guess we can't go hell no you think it might get carp picking the bones out carp yeah carp's fine gonna be a lot of potatoes hoodie a lot of potatoes and a lot of white fish yes that's too much too much white fish for me but i will tell you it's one of my favorite cities i've ever visited it's awesome is bangers and mash a london thing or is that just uh ireland i think it's a west side thing oh okay coming up we will have around the nfl listen overreactions next dot cap and jayo if you miss something get the podcast on the esp and chicago app chap and jay hood are back on chicago's home for sports esp and chicago it both sucks these sucks i'm just a fan i'm not a football about it i love the green bay package the guy is wrong but there he goes this is not Detroit man this is the super ball i love winter he starts to come this is a really thickly built guy i mean what's answering looking for all these things here it's time to go around the nfl here's china where i shake it is overreaction monday hoodie and uh i would like to start if it's okay with you with the cleveland browns go please go right ahead and say an overreaction part my grammar i you know cap there really isn't much left for me to say about the shawn watson i've been saying they need to bench him since week one that's so horrible if if you'll allow me i'll allow terry bradshaw to do the talking on this one here we go he would be his kurt sad but did you do you put wants him down now he has not played well since he's been in playland simply has not played well i don't want to put him down i'd want to sit in man i don't think you're saying no little harsh i know what you're doing i know what you're doing terry okay wow that's hoodie is that all that's left to be said about shawn watson put him down like a dog holy cow he's the worst quarterback in the national football league folks it's not even close but this is what happens when you dance with the devil is what you want it right you want to pay for his legal fees and you said i need a quarterback we've meet we haven't had a quarterback in this town since bernie cozar blah blah blah and now what you get you get nothing nothing you get nothing in return you're one and four staring up against the the eagles coming up this is a disaster for cleveland he thought about the bears being bad but the bears having their issues i'd rather be the bears in the browns this morning that's for sure i'd rather be the patriots than the browns i'd rather be anybody than the cleaver i'd rather be the panthers there at least you know where you got to go you got to go up this is sideways going down this is a stock that you got to get out of if you're the browns it's all i know how you do it 150 million left on that deal he's the worst as if you know that the one play as we will know is like it's a fourth down play shay to have the right fourth down he walks off the fields cephasky want to go for it and watson who had his head down just walking to the sidelines and cephas he's like we're trying to go for here where you going like uh we're done he's quit on the team yeah i guess he's saying watson that there was something else that was factoring into it and that's why they couldn't go for it yeah like lotion shay why i think if you're a clowns fan if you're a cleveland browns fan a lotion a lotion yes an oily subject yes not not that any of those lunatics are listening but if i were a cleveland browns fan i would probably boycott going to games until they start james it this is just beyond you can't keep playing this guy eagles bingles ravens chargers good luck shay jesus uh i think that the nfc this year it's going to run through a different place it's going to run through the nfc north whether that's minnesota or detroit san francisco is three games out of first place after losing to arizona yesterday um-hmm the nfc north will run through minnesota detroit when we get to the playoffs what do you think the nfc north controls it all uh that's a shot well you know it's not the same segment but that is absolutely a possibility i mean minnesota got a big win yesterday i thought erin would drive them back down and beat him uh and he didn't look detroit's the best team in the division there's no doubt in my mind and i think they're the clearly the best team in the nfc but but minnesota they would like to have a word they're good they're very good i don't think they're as good as detroit detroit's a beast i understand but man minnesota is getting the time take your hat off tip your cap i mean it's five and i was five and i'll it is they are no doubt god almighty i think that that is i think that's true i think that very well could be that everything in the nfc runs through the north and if you're the bears you guys continue to take care of your business you have to because minnesota's not backsliding detroit strong whatever you think a green bay it's still green bay because they got to play the bears twice careful now just saying just when you think that the bears have the upper hand here come the packers that's it gotta be careful got you playing good vision i keep playing good football let's go one of those two teams i think detroit minnesota will finish the season with the right to host the nfc title game whether they do or not they have to win the games to get there but i think they will end the regular season with the right to do it sounds like minnesota well they have the game in hand right now but they still have to play the lion's twice so the lion's as people like to say have the destiny in their hands uh cap you mentioned there and roger's trying to drive the jets down the field okay one problem he's done oh that dude cannot move i've never seen him look the way he looked yesterday but you would have said the same thing about farv when he was a jet and then he went to minnesota and became league mvp tune in i don't even did farv ever look like that as a jet he can't move he's 40 years old he's a total statue the the zip on the ball like some of the balls he threw yesterday were incredible frankly the triple coverage shot into the end zone late in the fourth quarter put it where only his guy could get a hand on it i couldn't believe the accuracy but also some of the decision making was brutal yeah he's got his communication with mike williams they said this morning he's playing on a sp he sprained his ankle that's not easy so uh erin yeah i'm not even i'm not saying he's done he did not play well that's a fact and i'm not even saying like oh it's roger's fault he just wants to be a political guy and do drugs and not think about football his body is betraying him at this point he had a torn Achilles last year he's got a low ankle sprain now he said he hasn't been a hundred percent this season he's 40 years old man it's winter bus situations when you bring in an older quarterback same thing with the falcons by the way with kirk cousins kirk cousins is light in the world on fire but you know that that is fleeting same thing when erin roger's this is just something that's a stopgap because you have nothing else behind him how old is cousins versus erin old not but he's got to be three years younger right same thing but i'm saying cap four years younger that's not that's not the future it's about winning now and if you don't it's over that's what i mean they're trying to win now win a bus win or bust agree and so with this whole thing with the viking with the uh jets rather it's not like the defense is bad it's a good defense the jets but this offense you know it's going to do in robert salah more than salah in his horrible press conferences it's just going to be erin roger's and that offensive coordinator is going to do in salah that's what's going to happen because he won't get enough offense for them to get it done the defense is stout though it's amazing it's almost bears like only difference is we've got the quarterback for the future and they don't that's correct and who do you bring up cousins like at least with cousins he's looking better week to week to week every week he looks like he's getting a little healthier getting a little better getting a little more confident roger's is getting worse outside of the game against new england he has not looked like erin roger's this season i've never seen him look the way he looked yesterday he can't move want to burn that ticket pal look ticket that jet ticket i don't have a jet do i have a jet ticket oh god what are you looking for i just you need the information that it's to your left the information is you have to have a super bowl i know how much do i have on it the point is that you have them in the super bowl want to burn that ticket now because they get the bills at the Steelers at the Patriots against the Texans i'm looking at it right here what cap has niners jets for the uh super bowl oh not good the question still stands want to burn that ticket on the jet bills Steelers Patriots Texans good luck bears win over carolina we talk about it in two minutes on cap and jayhood oh god fat bastard
