Yandal Resources confirms high-grade gold at Quarter Moon

Yandal Resources Ltd (ASX:YRL) managing director Chris Oorschot joins Proactive’s Tylah Tully to discuss confirmation of the presence of multiple high-grade mineralised structures at the Quarter Moon Prospect, part of the Ironstone Well-Barwidgee Gold Project in Western Australia. Results from the first three diamond drill holes reveal up to nine parallel, narrow high-grade structures extending along 800 metres of strike, with mineralisation open along strike and at depth. Significant intercepts include 2.8 metres at 5.9 g/t gold from 105 metres, 2.9 metres at 2.1 g/t from 144 metres and 1 metre at 6.4 g/t from 169 metres. These findings build on reverse circulation (RC) results from July, such as 6 metres at 4.2 g/t gold from 90 metres. The high-grade gold is hosted in narrow shear zones within a dolerite unit, which is a key host rock for mineralisation in the Yandal Greenstone Belt. Oorschot called the confirmation of high-grade structures at depth a “great outcome” and emphasised that the new data would guide more confident targeting for future drilling. Yandal’s exploration activities for the remainder of 2024 include aircore drilling at Caladan and Irulan, with several results expected in the coming months. #ProactiveInvestors #YandalResources #ASX #GoldExploration, #QuarterMoon, #DiamondDrilling, #HighGradeGold, #Mineralisation, #WesternAustralia, #IronstoneWell, #GoldProject, #MiningUpdates, #ExplorationSuccess, #GoldMineralisation, #DoleriteHost, #RCDrilling, #StrikeLength, #ShearZones, #JundeeMiningCentre, #ChrisOorschot, #Geology, #GoldMining #invest #investing #investment #investor #stockmarket #stocks #stock #stockmarketnews

Hello and welcome back to the Proactive Studio. I'm Tyler Tully and today I'm joined by Yandell Resources, Managing Director Chris Orshot, who's going to talk us through the presence of multiple high-grade mineralised structures. Yandell's identified at its Quartermoon Prospect, which is part of the Ironstone Well Biology Gold Project in Western Australia. Chris, thanks for joining us. Morning, Tully. Sorry, talk us through the latest highlights from your recent Diamond Drilling campaign. Yeah, so we completed the Diamond Drilling in early July this year. Diamond Drilling's delivered a number of high-grade intercepts. These high-grade intercepts really build on a number of intercepts that were seen from RC drilling previous this year. The intercepts are really encouraging. They demonstrate high-grade mineralisation within fresh rock. Combine those results with geological observations from the core. What we see is a quite a dominant northwest striking trend. Diamond Drilling confirms that if we sort of put that in a sort of broader context across the projects, we see up to eight or nine of these high-grade structures occurring along 800 metres of a strike. That puts us in a really good position with being able to refine our geological model. When we go to complete another programme across Quartermoon in the future, we'll be able to use that model to target the best positions going for you. So what do these results really mean? What do they tell you about the mineralisation? Yeah, so these high-grade structures, they're relatively narrow, but quite high-grade. We tend to see strong silica-serus alteration and then right in the core of these structures, we're seeing laminated shear veins as well. As I said, we've got about eight or nine of these identified across the projects. Significantly, they're open and long striking at depth, so lots of opportunity going forward. Sorry, what's next? Yeah, so up next, the teams working on identifying those targets for follow-up drilling. In addition to that, we've just completed the RC drilling programme at our New England Granite Prospect and results from that RC drilling will start coming in over the next four to six weeks. On top of that, we're also looking to commence an air core drilling programme across the early stage, Kaladin in the Euroline target areas, and we're really looking forward to keeping that off this week. Definitely sounds like busy times for the company. Chris, thanks for joining us. Norris, thanks, Tom.
