Yasmeen Altaji gives a round-up of today's trends

This is Trending, your daily rundown of news from the Middle East and around the world brought to you by the National. From Abu Dhabi, I'm Yasmin Al-Taji, here are today's headlines. Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has refused to end the war on Gaza and Lebanon, despite growing domestic pressure. Mr. Netanyahu pledged to fight on his death tolls in Gaza and Lebanon's rise. The families of Israeli hostages held in Gaza by Hamas told the national that Mr. Netanyahu was, quote, "just looking for the next person to fight." The Israeli military has issued a displacement order for Lebanon's residents to avoid a 50-kilometer stretch of coastline south of the Awali River. The order comes as the Israeli army continues its invasion of Lebanon. And in the UAE, a major donation drive was launched to collect aid for the people of Lebanon. The air relief, including medical supplies, food, and shelter equipment, was delivered by the Emirates in partnership with the World Health Organization and other UN bodies. The public is invited to send donations and goods. That's all for this morning's headlines. You can get these stories at our site and visit thenationalnews.com/podcasts for more like this.
