Christians are taught that sex is a good and holy act created by God to be shared within the confines of marriage. Sex is meant to celebrate the intimacy and connection between a husband and a wife. However, what is often not discussed are the disconnects, challenges, and other nuances that can leave couples feeling like the issue of sex is anything but good. In part 1 of this three-part series on sex and intimacy in marriage, Alicia and Abby begin this much-needed discussion by taking the biblical principles concerning sex and intimacy and helping understand the various aspects contributing to good sex and intimate connection. They talk about what it looks like to shepherd your spouse's heart, the 3 parts to a relationship, and types of intimacy, and candidly address dynamics that could contribute to disconnects in the marriage relationship.
