You're a morning ray of sunshine, the Anand Sifkumar. We can't control people, but yet we try. We try to control what they think about us, how they feel about things we've said or done or about us per se. We try to control how they should act or behave. Quite often we even want them to think and behave like us. All of which is ridiculous. An utter and total waste of time and energy, each person is an independent individual and we exercise zero or even less control over their thoughts, actions and feelings. No matter what we try, this is a loss plan. Even if we literally put a gun to the heads, we still have the option of choosing death over compliance. So what the hell are we hoping to achieve? Let go. Let people be themselves. Instead of trying to exercise control over them and deriving satisfaction and happiness from that, let's just focus on ourselves. Sunshine in your day.
