There's nothing sweeter than getting a victory in your beautiful throwback uniforms. Just ask the jags and the Broncos. And while you're at it, ask the Packers and the Giants how it feels to get a nice road victory. And guys, is it time that we already start thinking about Travis Hunter in a New England Patriots uniform? Paleo. All that and more right here on the Football Function podcast. We've done that at least once with our buddy Cody who is from Scottsdale, Arizona, obviously an Arizona Cardinals fan who, you know, their team's off to a pretty good start. Had a big win this weekend. Just got a good win. We're going to talk about that along with many others joining me on this episode to help me talk about these games. Yo. My humble co-host. I am. Student of the game. Yes, sir. Volleyball Savant. I try. Dad of the year. Sometimes. Young tenants in the field. How are we doing? Dude, I'm doing good. A little discombobulated. My brain's full of refereeing shit right now. Just left the meeting and boy, those guys can fucking talk. Once they get started dude, the things that are said behind closed doors are fucking confusing. And I guess that's what it's all before. So we can unwind everything and excuse me, make it tough to where we have to go through these situations. So it's not new to us. You know what I mean? So those meetings are really beneficial. And they've really been helping me out the past four years. And I love going to them even though they're so monotonous, monotone, old dudes that have just been there, done that. Just seeing everything. They can get the talking. And once they get the going, dude, it's like a train that's just fucking rolling down the rails dude. But other than that, had a good work. They got off a little early. So went to the golf course, of course. Had a little lesson with the local pro there. And it was nice. He saw a permit. So he let me know that. And it was nice to hear that from him. And then, yeah, like I said, we had to go to referee meeting. Now we hear to talk about some football. Sorry about yesterday, Funky's postponed a little bit. But Nova had a game. Went extra innings or extra periods, I guess. Extra time. And it was a bad ass game. Ended up 2-2. And for some reason they didn't have a shootout. But we had extra periods. I still don't get the rolls of soccer. We've been playing it for a little while, dude. I still don't get that shit. But yeah, it was a bad ass game. We end up playing the same team, I think tomorrow. And then that's the final. And then it's tournament time. We get our seeds and we figure out what the location is, where we're going, what time we're playing. This is the fun time for the little soccer teams, the little girls. They, you really don't know where you're going. You can go to Colorado State. You can go to, or not Colorado State. You can go to Colorado Springs. You can go to Abilene Midland. You can go to Norman. You can go wherever they send you, whatever your bracket is. So this is so fun. This time of year for my daughter, it gets exciting. She gets all jittery and stuff. Can't wait to see where we're heading. And you know, figure whatever that is. Yeah, traveling Packer. Money's in the near future. Money's spinning. Nice. Oh, a lot of money. Not necessarily. Nice. No, not really. My wallet's already driven. It is what it is. It's something that you kind of, you know, you always knew that was going to be a sport parent. You know, you're going to have to pay to travel all that good stuff, which I mean, being already here in Amarillo, luckily, you know, has to do as much traveling as you could have to do. But nonetheless, it's still, you know, it's money that has to be spent. What the new facility come in, dude? It's going to be so sick. Everybody's coming here. We probably want to have to leave. It's going to be nice. Well, I'm glad. It's going to be nice. Where's it going to be built at? Something about escape clicks. Kind of where the golf course is right now. Part three course. Don't sleep on the skate plaques, though, man. A place that's been popping since the '90s. Come on, man. Come on. Obviously not. A lot of people are wanting to just go out and roller skate anymore. So it's not really a present time. It's more of a past time thing to do. But if you feel love for it, like, you know, you're going on a day, you don't really know what to do. You know, what can we do? We've already been to the movies. We've already gone to all these restaurants. What can I do to kind of, you know, just shake things up a bit? Go to the roller skate, you know? Skateplex, yeah, you know. I mean, that's just our local place, skateplex. But I'm sure, you know, wherever you are, you have your local roller rink. Yes, you know, where you can go there. You can get the shoes kind of just like bowling. You know, you walk up in there. Yeah, I'm a size 10. Yeah, give me that size 14. Please get some wheels. And obviously, first, when you first put them on, you're like a little baby deer that's born. You can't really skate at all. You're going out there, you're stumbling, you're holding on. Whoa. And then eventually, you get your legs underneath you. You start getting a little bit more comfortable. Start getting a little bit. When you're here in the music play, you're out there dancing while you're skating. That's just kind of how the... Get down boogie, get down boogie. That's just going to have the roller skating roller. No, not roller blading. I mean, although you can't bring your own. There's some bladers, isn't there? There's some bladers. But yeah, you want to just stick to the quad wheels. That's what I've learned over the years is, you know? I'm more of a quad on the skating rink. Now obviously, if you're going skating on like open areas, obviously, you know, you're not going to bring your sonic car hop roller skates out there. Look at this, you're going to want some of your brink style roller skates, you know? You fly a skate through that shirt. Yes, you could jump over things, grind on some rails. Anyways, don't worry about yesterday about the show game delayed or anything like that. You know, obviously like the Sunday night football game itself, a billion dollar corporation had their game delayed and ended up pushing that game all the way. It happened to, I mean, over, you know, past midnight on the Eastern time zone. Yeah. Deck Prescott became the first quarterback to throw in interception. Me too. In the same game, but in two separate days. He also threw a touchdown. So I do want to give him credit there for that. It wasn't just the negative side of the coin. He also was the first quarterback to throw a touchdown pass in two separate days for the same game, which is very rare. Never really happened. You know, it's not something you'll really chalk up, especially on a day when we got football starting at 8.30 hour time. Yeah, early. And it didn't end until like 11. Like that is insane, man. That's, I mean, I'm not complaining whatsoever. But the fact that we got a game from 8.30 to like 11, 10, 11, 20, maybe a little bit later. I can't remember exactly when the game broke. Falcons didn't play noon. So I wasn't really crunching the time to get situated and all, you know, ready to rock. But once the noon games got going, then it's okay. We got a nice little slate here, three o'clock game. Same thing. And then you get a tiny little window between when the three o'clock, the three o'clock game ends and the Sunday night football game was supposed to start, but we had the delay. So it ended up being a lot of football, like 16 hours. Something like that. It's a hell of a lot, you know, especially when you just think of all the different things that happened yesterday. And I really can't wait to get into it because, man, there were some, some pretty juicy games to talk about. Number one, we'll go ahead and start because we're going to skip the London game, Grim Reefer covered that, the international reefer report. We'll start with the Browns at the commanders, one that really shouldn't take a whole lot of time to get through. Honestly, Jayden Daniels did his thing, man. No doubt. Once again, I don't have the stats pulled up in front of me. Maybe that should get the stats pulled up. Sean Watcher are doing here. Washington's or? Washington's. I don't feel like we need to hear Cleveland, honestly, at this point. For sure, for sure. We'll start, Jayden Daniels, who was on fucking fire the whole night, 14 to 25, 238 yards, one touchdown, one interception. He also led the team in rushing with the Leaven Carries and 82 yards. I will say they are using him perfectly in that aspect of the ball game. Any smart, too, he will get down. He knows how to take care of his body, which is kind of crazy, him being a rookie and doing all this. But getting his number one receiver included in all of this, four receptions, 112 yards, Florida, McLaren. It was just a fucking badass performance from these guys and they're rolling, dog. Yeah, I watched a good chunk of this game with Caleb. Yeah. Obviously, there was some frustration going on. The Browns kept losing players. Miles Garrett checked out of this game. Jeremiah Oousie Koromoa checked out of this game. Grant Delpit, Denzel Ward. I mean, you just name him starters that were just-- Once Ward went out, they really picked on whoever his backup was. And that's not to take away from Washington. You know, Washington's got a phenomenal performance. Like, they're proving a lot of people wrong. A lot of people weren't counting them as a team. That's actually going to be a big time player in the NFC East, let alone the NFC as a whole, where I think they have the number two seed right now locked up. Oh, it did. For the Vikings being undefeated right now, though. And the Washington commanders would be number one seed right now. And that's something that I doubt anybody had on their bingo card. Unless you know you're a passionate commander fan, then I'm sure yes. You might have believed in this. You might have believed this was actually true, but the fact that it's actually coming to fruition like this-- Four in one. Gotta be happy for Dan Quinn. That's one thing I will say. Just coming so close to winning that Super Bowl, right? You know, we don't have to get too far into it, but ultimately-- No, no, yeah. It really wasn't his fault that his team lost. Thanks. Now, in the years after that, the decisions he made, the team kind of falling apart. I mean, at the end of the day, the Super Bowl window was closing. When he gets there in a second year, you almost think that his tenure as our head coach was tied to, you know, that Super Bowl window had it not fallen through the floor. Maybe we would have kept him around, but he goes to Dallas. But for how long? Just dominates, you know, as that defensive coordinator, especially for the first couple of seasons, 2021, 2020. Aaron, he's right. He was one of the-- you know, that defense was just an absolute juggernaut. He takes some guys with him to Washington. You know, obviously, Dorence Alton Strong, he gets Dante Fowler, brings an old buddy, Bobby Wagner, with him. Mm-hmm. And all of a sudden, they have enough, you know, they have enough leadership, enough change up front where it's not the same defense. Like, you look at this team just on paper, on film, the way that they play with the new coaching staff and everything like that. Like, this is a completely different team that we saw just a calendar year ago. So I'm happy for him. You know, I don't really want to see any team, excuse me, get-- A message paid for by veterans for all voters. It's not fun for those fans who spend their hard-earned money on merch, on tickets, supporting this team. You don't have to wake up every day and get on the internet and deal with their team being good or not. Because believe it or not, that has a lot of stock in your bragging rights, how much confidence you can spew onto the timeline. If you're 0 and 5, you can't just go on there talking shit. You have to keep your mouth shut. Keep it a little bit cool. Whenever you're waiting, you can't change the way you go about things. It's been long overdue for this commander's team to do that. And on the other side, you look at the Cleveland Browns. It's tough. It's tough looking at where they are right now. You feel for Kevin's defense. He had not really sure how much of the DeCham Watson trade was him. I'm not sure how much of it was Kevin's defense. He pounded the table more so ownership or the front office. I don't really know that side. I know from our side, because the Falcons were a team that were in that sweepstakes, along with the New Orleans Saints. It was our owner 100%. He was the one that said, "Let's make this happen." Which sets up for the awkward relationship with Matt Ryan. We ended up pushing him out the door. And we end up having to just bite the bullet with two terrible years of quarterback play before we finally get the situation right. I feel like with a rookie waiting in the wings and a veteran. He's playing on a very high level right now. That's the most ideal situation that you really want. Every week that I see Michael Pinnicks on the bench, I look at it like a W. A week that he doesn't have to step in. And I'm just like, "Man, great. He's just learning a little bit." Although your situation, we'll get to that in a little bit. I think that one of us is going to be waiting a little bit. And one of us that are going to be forced into this. Or that weight might be coming to an abrupt end. But one thing I will say about the Cleveland Browns, I feel like that situation, what all they gave up in that trade, him serving his suspension and just a gel, or I guess the offense not being able to gel is really what's kind of obvious with him in there. And the only reason why you can confidently say it is his fault, other than if you're watching the games, is the fact that you've seen this offense succeed even just last year. Right. You know, like they didn't happen for almost the entire season last year. What was it, week two, week three? I don't even remember when it was that he had that injury. But I know that the Browns played a full season essentially without Nick Chubb last year. And they still had phenomenal success once Joe Flacko got out there. And I feel like, I don't know, it's hard not to just connect those dots and just think that maybe, you know, Kevin's defense even came out and said, look, we're not making a quarterback change. We all need to do a little bit better. The coaches, the players, everybody involved. That's smart. But I don't know, man, just when I'm watching that, like there's an easy fix, it's not easy per se. It's, you know, it's going to be a pricey one either way, no matter how you slice it, this is not a friendly contract. There's a reason why this hates, you know, the most expensive contract. Well, that's the only reason why they're not doing this. Yeah, it's the whole reason why. And I don't want to spend too much time talking about this game, but they were just a lot on both sides, you know, because I say it every week, every time we talk about the Browns, you know, like I want to see them succeed. I want to see them do good. And seeing the commanders get a win, it was like a double-edged sword, because I was like, man, you know, I'm happy for them. I'm happy for my cousin Thomas. You got a chance to finally just, you know, be truly confident in this team. Because it's one thing to just have blind confidence and think, you know, I don't care. That's kind of how I am every year, even though I know the falcons suck. Like if I know that the falcons going to a season with Desmond Ritter as a quarterback and it's Saints Week, I'm not just going to lie down and say, you know what? They got our number this week. We're just going to have to lie down and take it. I'm saying, no, you're going to have to come. We're going to test that chin one way or the other. Oh, yeah. Like, so you're going to have to come beat us. And that's how I feel like it's kind of how I feel. Like the commanders have been year in, year out. Now they finally have a young quarterback again, but I feel like it's different. You know, there's a lot of things different than the RG3 commanders. Or the same how? When they got, when they got him because yeah, you were excited about that, right? You were excited about what the commanders could bring to the table, but at the same time, their ownership was still kind of a mess at the time, you know? And there were probably a lot of people who hated the name still being there. And now you just, like, it's a new organization, literally completely new culture. A new era. Completely turned around. It's been over a decade since that happened. And I just think that, you know, the tide is finally starting to turn in their favor. And I'm happy to see it. Yeah, it's good for football when, you know, teams have been in that column for a long ass time and now they're coming out. And you've seen the product. We've seen it happening before our eyes is, what's the beauty of it? What's not the beauty of it is when they take advantage of the teams that, you know, our local household loves and, you know, and all that. But you got to hand it to the commanders here, man. They really put it on them. And it seemed like from the jump, they just had command of the game. And, you know, it's it's it's worthy to give respect to even if, you know, a 34, 13 ass woman is the outcome of it. So tell me about this 15 to 10 dolphins went over the Patriots. Yeah, it was tough. It was tough. But in the beauty of it, I loved the competitive, the competitiveness of what the Patriots put up, put forth, Jesus Christ. But another week of poor offensive line play and it's it's starting to be, you know, a little ignorant at this at this time. Joe, Jacobi Bursette is having no time 16 to 34, 160 yards. Miranda Stevenson really carried, really carried the load. 12 carries 89 yards, a tough 89 yards, one touchdown. But yeah, it's it's the same same sap story, same same or different week, man. We have no depth art to contend with with scores. You can't you can't win ball games. If you can't really, you know, find pater and everybody has, you know, enough. And we just don't have that, you know, up to par as enough. And obviously the dolphins have fucking Ferraris all over the damn field. And you can only hold them in for so long. And we can't keep up. So this is the outcome of, of a game of subsorts 10 to 15. We get a lot of field goals and a lot of of of, I think I fell asleep during this game, honestly, in the third quarter, I think I did fall sleep dog. I'm not going to lie. Boring as hell, but yeah, to make matters worse. It seems like we have a curse with our captains. So, you know, obviously, we knew about Juan Bentley going down David Andrews. Kyle Duggar is being out. And now Jibrill Peppers is going to be missing some times. I don't know if you heard about his little out of football. I did not. He's got some assault charges, possession of cocaine and some other sort. Strangulation, charges, stuff going on. All right, I'll get to that here in a sec. I did see earlier today that there was some, there was an investigation that the team posted that they were aware of the incident that happened with Jibrill and that they were, you know, they had their own investigation. Yeah. I was scrolling on my timeline trying to find it, but I didn't have the time because it happened during the work day to actually, you know, look into it. So I'm glad you brought that up because that is a pretty big news item. Provenor, it's a huge blow. I'll tell you that much. Oh, I bet. I mean, for a team that already, you know, needs help. And if you ask Ryan Wilson of CBS, who just 17 hours ago, he posted a mock draft. A message paid for by veterans for all voters. Listen to this message from Ted Delacath, former army infantryman and ranger qualified platoon leader active in the army reserves. When I enlisted in the army, I sworn oath to this country, not any political party. That's why I'm interested in citizens ballot measures around the country to reduce the power of political parties. Colorado votes on one too. Right now, election rules allow political insiders to hand pick party nominees. It's the reason we're usually stuck voting for the lesser of two evils. Colorado's plan creates an open primary where all candidates appear on one primary ballot. Every voter has the freedom to vote for any candidate, no matter which party. The Colorado plan advances four candidates to the general election, not two. That means more choices for voters in the primary and general election. Get the facts. Elections belong to the voters, not political parties. Paid for by veterans for all voters, Anthony Haas registered agent. The use of military rank and job titles does not imply endorsement by the department of the army or the department of defense of this ballot measure. And he had the New England Patriots picking number one overall in this mock draft. And you would be very pleased with who they select here. Bring him home, baby. Just look at my screen if you will. Oh, yes. That's the number one. That's the only, that's the right choice. That's the only choice though. So let's, let's see what he says though. Cause he gives us some insight to this pick because I want to know it's, it's up to date. And I'm, cause that's the thing is you talked about it. You literally started this breakdown by saying, which could be a sad no time. Our offensive line just got their asses kicked. I mean, the bad day for the old line. And that just tells me you got a top draft pick. Would you not want to get Drake May his protection? That's just my viewpoint. That's my thought process. That is, that's smart. I'm kind of built from the trenches, especially seeing players like, that's the way I would too. I mean, Sewell, Joe, Alt, Tristan, worse. Just some offensive line over the past few years who have come in and big, big different, been big difference makers because they got picked kind of top of the draft. Let's hear what he says though, because obviously if he knows that too, if I know that he knows that right. Oh yeah, really. So he still made the pick of Travis Hunter. So I'm curious why he picked this player. So let's see, he said, the past need a line help, but they need playmakers. Yeah, we do. And with Hunter, that means on both sides of the ball, he would immediately be one of the most explosive wide receivers on the roster, even if he's limited to 10 to 15 snaps a game. And the secondary becomes one of the best when you pair him with Christian Gonzalez. The past can target offensive line at the top around two. Problem solved. The thing is, you got to lose a lot of games to get there. Yeah, I don't mind that. With Gerard Mayo in this culture trying to implement, that's the thing. It's like the first year. Or starting, yeah. Do you want to already start him? Because there's a scenario, because you got your rookie quarterback. Keep in mind, drafted number two overall, one year after CJ Stroud was drafted, number two overall. So you look at it from that perspective, like there's a Demico Ryan's path. And there's maybe a Dan Campbell path a little bit, you know, where you kind of, you don't just completely ball out that first year. And then you just hit the ground running, bam, you get more and more talent. You have to have a kick-ass draft though. You have to have a draft like they did where they got Gibbs, Sam Laporta, Brian Branch, amongst other players that I probably just can't name off the top of my head right now. I can't remember either. They had a great, great draft in 2023, I believe it was. So yeah, I just had to look that up because I was curious because there are phenomenal offense of linemen that are in this draft. There's other rounds from Texas. I'll take every other round. We can go two through 18, whatever the rest of the round. There's a Campbell from LSU. You're spending the rest of the picks with offense of linemen. I don't give a fuck if you draft nine of them. Do the rest of them rebuild it. I do not care. The only choice, the only and the right choice is to get that generational player into our locker room. So you're starting it right now here in October. You're officially… So it's going to be a long season number one. Yeah. And then if you guys do end up nailing that top five pick, it's going to be a long off season because there's going to be a lot of speculation. You guys aren't the only fan base that are probably banging the table for this guy. I wouldn't doubt it. And really want him to join the squad. But nonetheless, the Patriots do fall here to the Miami Dolphins. There's a lot of side talk, but hey, that's what you get here on the function. Yeah, you should know by now. In and out. I told you. Dolphins of line struggled. This was a little bit of a not so great game. And the Patriots just kind of fall short. Although, you know, they had a chance to win. Multiple chances to win this game and end up losing it specifically. I want to mention that Jalen Polk touchdown that was called back. Oh, yeah, that was dog shit. Come on, man. Dog shit. Like, come the fuck on, dude. The toes are down. Feeder and who gives a shit about the hill. Now if the hill hit at the same time, cool. I get it, you know, but it's just some baby back bullshit. If I must say so myself, pardon my French. Hey, I mean, if college kids could get a red shirt year, let's give. And, you know, some of these players could fall back behind these veterans, you know, when they come up in the league and stuff, why can't coaches get their first year like red shirt? Or, you know what I'm saying? Like, this is going to be a coach meals fucking red shirt year with Gerard. Trying to get his feet wet with Jacobi Brissette at quarterback, not putting his dog, his main key player, his key pawn, in right now to get killed. So, I mean, if we could just maintain through this year, just like the Cardinals did last year, that's how I'm. So you want to copy that? You want that? I want that. I want exactly that. Be in every game. Punch these motherfuckers in the jaw. But that's what happens when you have a guy like Christian Gonzalez. I mean, yeah, you might beat us. Yeah. But your number one wide receiver is getting clamped. Yeah, you ain't going to get in the process. So we're going to affect fantasy leagues all across the country. We're talking, oh, fantasy. I don't care about that. But the Pats, do you have one win, correct? Yes, sir, against the Bengals. Another compadre in the AFC that has one win, finally. Yes, sir. The Jacksonville Jaguars, they get their first win at home against the Indianapolis Colts. Yes, sir. Despite a very strong performance by Joe Flacco, who, let's just be honest, the offense run smoother with Flacco in there. It's hard to say not 33, a 44 for 359 and three touchdowns, zero picks. I mean, what else is there to say? Like, seriously, I get it. I'm looking at how old Joe Flacco is right now. I cannot remember. Oh my gosh, he's like 40. 40? Oh, he'll be 30. I mean, he's 39. He'll be 40. He's old as hell. Yeah, he is. Second trade, Anthony Richardson. We're saying keep him on the roster because Anthony Richardson, what, 22? Yep. Young as hell. Yeah, like he's young as hell. There's no reason to throw him in right now. I don't even think he's 22. Do you already have the young talent there with light that he possesses? And this is what you want to learn from the guy. This is what exactly what you want. Hell, even 80 Mitchell completed a pass in this game for 24 yards. But dude, let's just talk about Alec Pierce. Let's go. He had three targets. The ball was thrown him three times. Caught him all. He had three catches for 134 yards and a touchdown. One of his catches was like an insane bobbled catch that definitely should not have been caught. It was just an insane show of athleticism for Alec from Alec Pierce. So shout out to him. Big shout out. Josh Downs, almost 10 catches, 9 for 69 on 12 targets. He was the one that Flacco was actually going to the most. Yeah, I feel like their connection is incredible. How about we give Alec Pierce more targets? Yeah. Catch is all of them. He makes phenomenal plays. Goes for 134 yards. Yeah, I think it's time to give him a little bit more. But you were down Jonathan Taylor in this game. You still end up scoring 34 points. That's the main reason why I'm just so high, if you will, on Joe Flacco at this point in time. Because he's the one that produces. I get it. The Flash is with Anthony Richardson all day. But if you look at who's actually putting the plays on the field, who's actually putting the production on the field, I should say, and has a chance to give you a win. It took everything the Jaguars had here to get this win. What's, you know, shout out to him. It was Trevor Lawrence 25th birthday through the ball 34 times. 28 completions for 371 touchdowns. Did have an interception. That kind of just is what it is. I think the star of the game from the Jags, though, is Tank Bigsby. 13 carries for 101 yards, two touchdowns. Phenomenal, absolutely phenomenal run late in the game. That long one where he just looked at him and he just took it out of the way of the house. Was this, like we mentioned, 1998, which is 1999. These Jags are bawling in their throwback uniforms. Oh my gosh. This ain't just got to pick and you got to absolutely shoot me. Go big boy. It's a big boy. Hey, how's in it? Go big boy. Okay. Did I got a thing for big boy interceptions, though? Let's go. All right. Well, give me a big boy dance. Come on. No, he ain't got that. No, they're going to go on the ventilator. Yeah, he's already way to this fun. I know my home is going to have to, you know, give you his. We forgot to paint the picture that we're watching this game right now. We are watching the game. I apologize. Watching the Monday night. Oh, he smacked that. See, that's what I saw. Oh, she says former team. Yeah. That's Caitlin Sanders. Caitlin Saunders. Oh, he was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs. I think he might have a Raiders tattoo or it's ear. I think he might have wore a Raiders hat to the Combine. And he had drafted by the Chiefs. What? Probably won a Super Bowl with him or multiple. Let's be honest. He was there for a little bit, but. Now he plays for the Saints. Out of a pick in the interview. But nonetheless, shout out to the Jags. Brian Thomas Jr. 5 for 122 and a touchdown. Are you kidding me? What a fucking stud. Great performance from BTJ. I feel like he's going to be one of the better life receivers. Clearly going to be the water receiver one for Trevor Lawrence. I'm glad to see Trevor get a nice win, man. And shout out to those uniforms. That's all the same before the Saints got that stupid interception. The Jags look great. Their helmets look great with these, you know, their old school look. Love seeing it. Multiple teams did it. We'll talk about other teams that brought their throwbacks back. As we continue this episode, but I just have to, you know, give the Jags a massive shout out for getting their first win. Now let's get some more. I know Peterson has, you know, he's able to go to the grocery store now without people clamoring for his job. After one week, but hey, he got to stack some wins. And that's what we're going to see if the Jags can do. Yeah, they're carrying it high right now. They should feel tremendous about this win. I think it's like their eighth or ninth against this team. Straight, I can't remember, but I saw some stat earlier, but they really needed this one with their game, with their season spiraling. This is a huge win and really happy for that fan base. You know, another fan base I'm happy for. Who are the Houston Texans? Man, got a big time win. Sure did. Josh Shallen led Buffalo Bills. Although you wouldn't know him completing nine passes, like 30 attempts. Like, what are we doing here, bro? Yeah, he was fleshed all night. That defense really put it on him. I mean, I watch this game and I will say, like, come on, dude, he was tucking and running more than actually trying to throw the football. And I was like, dude, he was clamped up, though. I don't know if Shakir was gone, but Shakir, really going to be the one that just derails your offense. Like, come on, man. I think they're the team that needs Devonta Adams more than anybody, dude. You give Devonta Adams to the Buffalo Bills. That's a good point. I think that well, Shakir was like better for both sides. He was, he was securing about 71% of their, like his whole target. So yeah, without him, he had too much on his shoulder. And we saw that. We saw it wearing on him with the tremendous defense of the Texans. They really knew how to hit him when it was time or when it was legal. And they really made it hurt. And you saw him fill the pain. And it really got into his throwing mechanics. Like, I noticed when he was scrambling out to the right, they made him do that really often. And then he would overthrow a lot with him doing that. So they, they keyed on that. And they found out that they weren't going to run the ball. And so they pinned their ears back, put eight guys in the back field, put a spy on him and that won him the game, honestly. Yeah, I mean, the Texans just had a lot more to offer in this game. The Bills, I mean, James Cook ran the ball 20 times. They were just trying desperately. They knew Josh Allen was cold in this one. And they couldn't get him to really kick it up. Meanwhile, he just dropped through for over 330 yards. Yeah, can makers had nine carries. Ogumbuwale had 15 carries for only 30 yards. What's up with that? Agumbuwale. I mean, what's up? What's up with him getting 15 carries? There he's a beast, man. He runs hard. Oh, yeah. I have to assume Joe makes him come out loud. Yeah, and he's coming back. No, he's still, I mean, he's weak the weak now, I think. So can makers not the guy stepping up? I had, they gave him, they gave him a chance. They, I think he got carries. I mean, he out rushed him on six last carries. So he started. Yeah. So I guess that's just my only question. Why did he get the workload? Yeah. You know, why did Ogumbuwale get the workload? But clearly he was trying to force the blocks. He also got six catches as well, six for 57. And then it's fun to exit six catches as well for 82 yards, but it was Nico Collins two for 78. Big old Nico. That big time touchdown. I think you heard his hamstring in this game. Please don't let this happen. It's really good. Slowly creeping up into a big time wide receiver, man. Yeah. Like, he's been there for a while. And I feel like you, like you have that quarterback effect, that quarterback bump. So I happen to have a scale C. He's been in the leaks since 2013. It's the reason why so old. And it's already starting to, you know, starting to decline because it wasn't until like, what, 2018? Yeah. When my home's really got going. Yeah, he played with Alex Smith too. He started to blossom with Alex Smith. I don't want to credit it all to Patrick Mahomes. Yeah. But he really didn't burst onto the scene. Like you would expect like a Rob Gronkowski did, who was immediately just one of the best playmakers in the entire league. That's why I feel like, man, people got to pay more respect to Gronk when they were actually throwing tight ends out there. We're actually watching this Aaron Hernandez documentary, that new one on FX. I've heard about it. Don't do it. No. Don't do it. Okay. I heard, I heard a lot of, uh, there's a lot of, almost six shots. That's, okay. Gotcha. But anyways, um, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're. Yeah, Jason Jackson's big time win. Shout out to him. Happy for the culture. Happy for Kevin, obviously. Shout out, Kev. Stack up the win. Sexins are four and one. Let's go. And I'm so glad it was against the bills. And, and you, you guys kind of rolled out the blueprint. I mean, like I explained it, you guys had the pressure and the physicality to put old Mr. Schuperman on his ass. And I loved every bit of it, man. And, uh, yeah, big shout outs to the Texans for, for letting us know that, you know, these guys are, are just like any other team that could be beat. Yeah. They've got a good ass quarterback that's, you know, could take over games and stuff. But, you know, lay the wood to them a couple times and, uh, you know, that'll change. No doubt. No doubt. Um, this one was big time though because it was tied. I thought this game was going to overtime. Yeah. The race is 17 point deficit. Yeah. Yeah. I, I thought it was going to overtime. And then I don't know where a big special teams play. Like, like the Texans just had a great return. Mm hmm. They didn't return. Like, I already got cross midfield and they had like 17 seconds or whatever it was. They ended up, you know, getting in field goal range for Fairbarn. 59 yards nailed it. Walk off when they were wearing their H town uniforms. Hey, don't shout out. Dude, those are so nasty. Beautiful. Oh, I loved it. I love it, man. They look so good. They have a great stadium. Yep. Great uniforms, young up and coming team. Mm hmm. I mean, that's the formula. Bro, but are we, it's kind of, it's kind of sad that we're getting used to kickers making these 50 yarders and shit. Like that is so fucking, that's so hard. A 59 yard field goal for the win. Time winding down fourth quarter. No one does it better than Justin Tucker. Oh, who did it this past Sunday. Baltimore Ravens defeated narrowly three point victory. The Baltimore Ravens were the Ravens defeated the Bengals in Cincinnati. 41 to 38 completely botched. The Bengals had it. Man, coming Rock Hill, Rodriguez. But anyways, the Ravens, man. I mean, they have over a thousand yards rushing in five weeks. That's incredible. You know the last team to do that? That's incredible. 2006 Falcons, baby. Ooh. Michael Vick wore a diamond T.J. Duckett. Ooh, shout it out. Formerly known as DVD. This team was dominant, man. Michael Vick's last year in Atlanta. A message paid for by veterans for all voters. Listen to this message from Ted Delacath, former army infantrymen and ranger qualified platoon leader active in the army reserves. When I enlisted in the army, I swore an oath to this country. Not any political party. That's why I'm interested in citizens ballot measures around the country to reduce the power of political parties. Colorado votes on one too. Right now, election rules allow political insiders to hand-pick party nominees. Oh, man, don't bring me back to those dark days. But back to the game, man. The Baltimore Ravens led by Lamar Jackson, 26 of 42. 348. What? Four tugs. Colly. Video game. I mean, there's only one quarterback I can think of that did better than that this week. Hmm, go. Bangs. But they also got 15 carries from Derek Henry, 92 yards and a touchdown. The Marj Jackson 12 carries for 55 yards. Justice Hill, five carries for 17 yards. Now you look at that and nothing's like, oh, man, that absolutely went off. But you see the 15 carries, the 12 carries, the five carries. That's balance. That's balancing it, dude. That's balance right there. That's making it to where you can throw the ball 42 times, completing 26 of them. And you're able to have somewhat of an offense that was producing like Zaflauer 7 for 111. Then you kind of just split it up from there. You got Richard Bateman and Mark Andrews, each having four catches for right over 55 yards. Bateman and Collar. Collar. What do you, how do you pronounce that? I think it's Collar. I think it's Collar. That's a Collar. Yeah, Collar is definitely a doof this way to say that. Collar. Definitely. Watch that tie. You had it right the first time. But, man, I'm proud of what I saw from the Ravens. Even proud of what I saw from the Bengals offense. 30 for 39, 392 yards. Five touchdowns. We saw them lighted up, finally. From Joe Burrow. Do you know my lore? Let one interception. You don't want to see that, especially late in the game. Yeah, that's a no-go. You had it. They really didn't get a whole lot on the ground. Took them running the ball what? 23 times. And they still barely got over 70 rushing yards. Yeah, that's a tough dog. To Marche still, take a fucking bow. I'm trying to slow down. I'm trying not to curse as much on the show. Brother. But whenever I see a stat line 10 for 193, two touchdowns. Holy shit! I am trying to not let it out. But, man, it's hard not to just drop an F bomb right freaking now. Man. Why does she ever got here? We're cool. Oh, and you got T Higgins. 9 for 83, two touchdowns. There goes, spreading it out. The AFC North days are not what they once were. Defense of football 41 to 38. That's a shootout right there. Oh, high scoring a fair dog. No defense was played in this game. This is the AFC North with a big 12. Yeah, no defense. But no less. Ravens 3 and 2. It's a great place to be considering they were 0 and 2 to start the season. Right. Turned it around. Bangles 1 and 4. Man, that's back breaking right there. They ain't making the playoffs. No, that's tough. I don't want to say it. I don't want to speak. I would love to be wrong. You have to win every game from here. I mean, you got to win a lot. You got to hope the teams lose because you ain't catching your division. I don't think so. Even the Steelers, yeah, they're starting to kind of fall off a little bit. Not like a cliff by any means. But they're starting to kind of come back down to Earth a little bit. Yeah, and they still have a contingency plan after, you know, things might rail or derail. They still have Russell Wilson, you know, that whole case could still play out. They even know what happens. They have another bullet in the chamber. Yeah, they've got they've got options. They got options. So we haven't even seen that version of them yet. And you know that they're just, I mean, it's Mike Tomlin. You know, you have to be above 500 to be better than the Steelers. So you're 1 and 4. And you're 1 and 4. So I'll put you behind the A ball. So that's the Ravens. The Steelers are already behind in your own division. You look at the Houston Texans. You seem to be off to the races and their division. Now they finally have like a two game cushion lead. They're going to lose that anytime soon. Their schedule should get a little bit more manageable coming, you know, in the coming weeks. You go look at the ASEs. That's a little bit more up for grabs man. There ain't no one in that division that's looking great. It's looking like it's going to come in last week. That's what the NFC South usually looks like. Yeah. Now we're looking like, oh man, the AFC East. All right. Maybe we can, if the Bengals can somehow get a better record than all of them teams, we could somehow try to, you know, boycott the league and get the AFC East playoff spot. Who knows? To have more, you know, competitive organization. But this game is great, competitive to say the least. You love seeing games like this. Every game that I drafted ended up being a phenomenal game like this. This one was the highest scoring of the night in both, like both quarterbacks. Had an opportunity to get their hands on that plum crazy player of the week award, but I just feel like there's someone that just hasn't in their grasp. But we'll see. Somebody probably got a lot done. Someone that, you know, might be one of your relatives. Somebody that's near dear close to your heart. Yeah. You like that. You do like that. Like a little swag surf also. The surf and the swag. But let's move on to another game and, you know, speaking of Kirk Cousins. Yes, sure. Possibly winning that plum crazy player of the week award. Who knows? Let's go to our resident cousin, shall we? Yeah, let's do it. And I'm talking about nobody else other than the CM. The host of the college football function. Ted, I'll see him. I can't wait to tell you guys what he said, because honestly, let's be honest. He sent me in a very lengthy role report last week for week four, when we had Frankie Graham on. Yes, sir. Ted, I'll Frankie. That was the first game we talked about immediately out of the gate, and it slipped my mind. And I realized after we were done recording. Damn it. I just, I just forgot CM's role report. Told him, told him to make it up for him, which I'm going to do. But either way, we're going to read it right now. He was kind enough to say, "No, I'm going to give you another shot." Oh, thank you, see him. And he typed me up another good one here for week five. Let's hear his thoughts on this matchup between the Carolina Panthers and the Chicago Bears. The last game that we'll talk about here in the noon slot. What's up, Funkeys? It's Mr. NCAA here with my weekly overall report. Seriously considered changing the name to the Meow Report lately. Whoa! Playing like some Pussies, to be honest. But let's just rip the mandate off. Let's go, okay. This was a game of two familiar downtrodden franchises. One team has a bright future with lots of weapons and a capable and skilled quarterback. Let me say that again really quickly. This is my word. A capable and skilled quarterback. We'll get to that in just a little bit. Most doubt. And the other team don't and just sucks, honestly. Chicago beats Carolina 36 to 10. Great breakthrough game for Caleb, 20 for 29, 304. And I think you might have ended up being 340 for not mistaken. 38 was the style line I got. But two touchdowns and a bigger middle finger game. Carolina for DJ Moore catching five for 105 and two touchdowns. Yeah, baby. The lone highlight I have to admire on my end is Chuba Hubbard. He's dependable and performs consistently. So he'll be sent off probably by the deadline for a pack of smokes. Good game, Chicago. 12 weeks to go. Good F-word. There you go. I'm starting to try. Try to see him trying to make it tough on me at the best. Let him fly, boy. Shit. A message paid for by veterans for all voters. Listen to this message from Ted Delacath. Former Army infantryman and Ranger qualified platoon leader active in the Army Reserves. When I enlist in the Army, I swore an oath to this country. Not any political party. That's why I'm interested in citizens ballot measures around the country to reduce the power of political parties. Colorado votes on one too. Week six review show dropping soon. A crazy upset driven day, and I'll give you all the goodies. CM loves you. I love my function, boys. Get them HP, obviously. Howard Poole is supposed to be on the show. That was enough for Howard Poole. Sorry. Um, have a great show and hide y'all's grandmas, recommend God bless. Great stuff from CM. As always. Looking forward to hearing what he has to say about the college football. Slate that happened this weekend. Wild weekend. Looking forward to this. Coming weekend though. Oh, you in Texas? Yeah, Texas is off of a buy. I'm not going to say, oh, you's off of a buy too, but I'm not going to say a damn word. Because they're the better team. Yeah. Ring number one, probably. I'll be honest. There's a good chance this could get ugly. Yeah, I know. They could, but I'm not going to say here. And I'm not even going to say. Where's it at? It's in Dallas. There's a neutral side. Oh, yeah, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh. But no matter what, even if we win, I ain't going to talk shit. Honestly, there's no reason. There's no reason to. I got tied up in Falcons, you know, stuff going on right now. No need for. I'm tied up in extra stress. You know, obviously, hoping the Phillies get their ass kicked, hoping the Padres get their ass kicked. But anyways, let's get back to the game. Uh, look, happy for Caleb. Yeah. Great performance. Yeah, he dominated. Like, come on. I know it wasn't a great Carolina Panthers defense. But hey, if you'd have played bad, they would be, oh my gosh. You couldn't even do anything against the Panthers. We wouldn't even be hearing the end of it. But the thing is, people are still nitpicking, man. Oh, I hate it. Seriously. One of my good buddies. That's what I got in a little bit of a debate with about Caleb Williams today. Yeah. They had a great game, only 29 pass attempts. Look, completions are one thing. This dude only threw the ball 29 times. It got 29 times to drop back and pass. And he threw for almost 200 and 40 yards. Yeah. No matter what. NFL game, extremely impressive. You know how many players play college football? It's like 75 players on each roster with, like, how many rosters are there? Like 2000? Yeah. Probably. I don't even know how many college football teams are. There's so many. But there's so many. You take the 1% of that, and that might be how many players are in the NFL. Right. Only 32 teams, 53 man rosters. The cream of the crop, I get it. Some teams are better than others. But this is the best coaching, the best talent. Like NFL, if you're an NFL team, if you're fielding an 11 man roster, you're still a pretty damn good unit. This is still a team that has Derek Brown. Yep. This is still a team that has JC Horn back there. You know, like, they have players. So it's not like, you know, the Panthers, if anywhere, if they have strength anywhere on their team, although they haven't been performing that great this season, it's their defense. So, yes, granted, it's not against the 2000 Ravens. But what do you, like, you only play who's in front of you. This is only his fifth game as a pro. He's starting to finally show some growth. He had great plays. Like, one of the plays that he was getting criticized for is the fact that one of his throws specifically was a little bit behind one of his players. Oh, yeah. But if you just look at the play for more than five seconds, you'll see that it was intentionally placed in that soft spot in between double coverage. Oh, yeah. Because if he doesn't throw behind him, what's going to happen? Man's going to get taken out of the game properly. You ever played more combat? Finish you. You ever seen a decapitation? I know that this is 2024 in a fell. That really doesn't happen these days. But nonetheless, you could knock the head knocked, you know. You get your guy hurt nonetheless. It's your helmet rocked. I mean, guy could go low balls. Fucking need you. I mean, why not just get the first down? Yeah. Who cares if the throw isn't, you know, perfection? Because that's the thing. It's like, man, even in a win. Like, that's how you know he has so many haters. Because my post was just straight up saying he was acknowledging his stat line and his performance and just saying, like, hey, man, so many people are rooting for this dude to fail. You don't hear a word. You don't hear a peep when he has a game like that. Yeah, the haters. So many people want that dude to be a bust. And I don't know. I just don't see it, number one. But also, like, why is there so much? Like, because that's the thing is like, when you look at why they hate him, it's because of his attitude, his personality, his fingernails. They... My fingernails are painted. Oh, they wear a painted right now. But I took them off as they were coming over here. Like, that's why they don't like Caleb Williams. It's not because they actually can provide, you know, a logistic argument as to why he's not a good football player. Because the tape can prove you wrong. If you actually watch it for a little bit, yeah, I mean, he's not perfect. But he's a rookie. He's like 21 years old. Give him a little bit of time. Because I promise, it's only his fifth game. A lot of these minor issues, a lot of these minor things that are going on with him right now are going to get worked out, like, worked out just strictly with reps. Just by playing the game, the Bears are going to continue to build that offensive line in front of him. He has DeAndre Swift. He has good weapons, obviously. And Roman Dudin. Let the team be more well-rounded. And then let's, you know, let's criticize the guy. Because I feel like, you know, right now, there's no reason. I truly think you're exposing yourself. Yeah, exactly. If you criticize number one, if you're nitpicking like that, like, are we kidding me? Or are you kidding me? Like, criticizing a screen pass that went for like 40 yards. Yeah. You know, like, there's no reason to hop on this kid, you know? It's those type of players. It's those type of people that I know for a fact that, you know, probably didn't play in, you know, quote-unquote, big-time games or any football at all, period. If you don't know the situation, time and scenario of the game, what's happening, you don't understand football at all. I mean, I don't want to hear from you, period. If you're, if you think, if that's what you think, if your processing leads you down that road, I don't want to talk football with you anyways, man. Or maybe we just need to educate. Oh, yeah, yeah. That's a good way to look at it. How to properly evaluate all of that. Let us educate you. How to properly evaluate a quarterback. So I'll tell you right now, there's a lot that goes into it. Oh, yeah. Like, we've been doing this for what? Four years now? Yes, sir. Getting there. This is our fourth year. We've already done our fourth off season. There's a lot of tape. There's a lot of games that get watched, a lot of players that get watched. And, you know, at some point you kind of start to get such a hang of it that you just know, especially with a player like Caleb Williams, like, yeah, like there's a few checklists you want to look at. Like, what's this footwork? Is he good with progressions? How does he end up pressure? How is he off schedule? And that's something that he thrives in. So yeah, like, there's a lot of things that, like, if you're actually listing the pros and the cons, I promise you, that pros list is going to be a hell of a lot longer than the cons. See, that's the aspect that I've taken, you know, this switch gears a little bit into driving, drafting Travis Hunter. I mean, the positives out of the whole thing, outweighs the cons, and then, like, to those people that say that, you know, you have to draw, you have to draft the offensive line. You mean to tell me, you can't put Travis Hunter in any situation that you put, you could put him in any situation on any team, and he doesn't make anybody better. So, you know, that's the way that I look at it. There's 32 teams that want to draft Travis Hunter. I won't say, man. Exactly. I'm hoping that he falls to... Eight and then, there. Hoping he falls and slides a little bit, baby. Working a little trade-up. Oh, hell no. Get our hands on. We don't even want to put that out there. We all got to put that out there. But, shout out to the Chicago Bears for getting a big win. Fuck yeah. Panthers. Bear time. Let me go look real quick. Who did they have them getting in that mock draft that I just had pulled up? Bear with me. Yeah. Pass one. Bangles two jags three. Panthers, I'm picking six. Ooh, Cam Ward. Wow. Quarterback out of Miami. Let's hear what we have to say about Cam Ward. I guess let's hear a Ryan Wilson of CBS who made this mock draft. Shout out Ryan. Let's hear what he has to say about Cam Ward. Ward is one of my favorite players in this class. And while he was a French day two player back in August, he's carried the hurricanes to an undefeated record through the first month and a half of the season. He excels off platform and has all the arm angles. He just needs to work on getting through his reads. And playing from the pocket. But he has all the tools to be special. I mean, I don't know how to see him. What about that? Taking a senior quarterback? 62223. Keeping him down there in that southeast area. I'm all for it. I know seeing probably has his opinion. Maybe he can let us know on his next recording. I'm sure he'll talk about Cam Ward and the Miami hurricane. I love that for him. Oh, yeah. By the way, Mike and Terry, I think that picks up. We don't need another quarterback, all right? Yeah. Yeah, I bet he's going to agree with Mr. Anderson here. Well, let's go ahead and move on. Yeah. That's all the new games. Yeah, sure. We got four three o'clock games. Talk about the Raiders and the Broncos first. Boom, diggity. What'd you think about this game? I believe you had your eyes on it. I did. I did. It really threw me off guard. I mean, the Broncos came out with a great game plan. Executed to 34 points. To fruition, man. And what they did is they didn't rely on old Tennessee of putting too much weight on Bowniks. They had a balanced game. Giovanni Williams carried the ball 13 times, 61 yards. I mean, they ran the ball, actually. Alexander Madison, 15 carries, 38 yards. I mean, that's the Raiders, sorry. McLaughlin, six carries. Bowniks even chimed in with the running game. Bottom line is they ran the ball. And establishing that, opened up the game for Bowniks. 19 of 27, 206, two touchdowns. Clean game, no interceptions. But yeah, it was a great game plan. They drove the ball pretty much every time they had the possession. And they took command. And the time of possession was really in their favor. And it was great to see because, you know, rookies, you really don't have that chance of having the ball that long. It's normally three-and-out, three-and-out, as we've seen through the Broncos past games. But Bowniks stepped up and it was a great game for these guys. They won this game 24 to 18. Did you see Bowniks getting Sean Payton's face a little bit? Yeah, they got a little fiery on the sidelines. I love to see that. And I think that was more of, obviously the adrenaline pumping and, you know, not of discouragement if that's, you know, if it's what you could say about that. I don't think anybody, any ill will, any words that they're going to... A message paid for by veterans for all voters. Listen to this message from Ted Delacath, former Army infantrymen and Ranger-qualified platoon leader active in the Army reserves. When I enlisted in the Army, I swore an oath to this country, not any political party. That's why I'm interested in citizens' ballot measures around the country to reduce the power of political parties. Colorado votes on 1-2. Right now, election rules allow political insiders to hand-pick party nominees. We're saying to each other. I think it was yelling of encouragement, you know. I think it was a good thing for these two to get that out and, you know, feel that side of each other. It looks like the Raiders missed of Auntie Adams, though. Their offense was struggling to produce outside of Brock Bowers, who, let's be honest, the next big thing when you talk about the tight end position. BB. He's what we want to Kyle Pitts to be. Eight for 97 in the touchdown. Mm-hmm. 12 targets, though. That's how you know, he's like, he is their offense. No matter who's playing for him. They want to get him a ball. Could be Shader Sanders next year, if you ask, you know, the Raiders owner who told him, you may be home right now. Yeah, they actually bench their quarterback guard to mention in the fourth, in the third quarter after a 99-yard interception, or pick six from Patrick Chutain. I think he threw another one, actually, and then they bench them for Aiden O'Connell, who went 10 to 20, 94 yards. Another interception to Patrick Chutain. Patrick Chutain, that interception probably the biggest play of his career, right? Yeah, it was. Like he's highlighted of his career. I mean, number one, look at the uniforms. Oh, look, they were so nice. Those throwbacks, that throwback number two, specifically. It's not going to Caleb during the game. It should easily be the highest sole jersey in the Broncos' shop, Broncos' website, Broncos' organization. How does every Broncos fan not have a throwback number two? If you don't, like, what the hell are we doing here? What are we doing? But also, since we're talking about Las Vegas, I would be remiss if I don't give a shout out to the Las Vegas Aces, who just recently got eliminated, unfortunately, by the New York Liberty. That's the rival. In the semifinals, the team that they beat last year in the championship. So the Vegas Aces were coming off of two straight championship seasons. They were going for the repeat. They lose the game for heartbreaker. I, you know, through gambling, admittedly, I have become an Aces fan over the past couple of months. Just I love their team and following them on Instagram. And I see just kind of the camaraderie that they have. I was actually shocked that they didn't win the championship. I thought just from what I was watching, what I was witnessing for the last month or so, there was no way in hell they weren't going to pull it out. Sabrina and U.S.Q is on another level right now. She's just running it up. Stewart, man, she is the one that really hurt the Liberty. Or I apologize, she's the one that really hurt the Aces. Yeah, she still used the real deal. But shout out to the Liberty. The advance are probably going to get it done. I don't really know. I mean, tomorrow is the game five. I mean, Connecticut. It's only Connecticut in Minnesota. I mean, it's Wallace. Bridget Carlton? Yeah. Bridget Carlton. She's not on the Aces, but she is my favorite WNBA player. Because she won my first big daddy. Ooh, I love her big parlay. Let go. Need her to get three threes and she did it. Yeah, she's your love forever, right? I mean, let's just say if she can somehow work her way over to the Aces, she can get in her jersey. Ooh. I already kind of, you know, I'm getting first. I'm sure getting an Aces shirt because I'm going to the Raiders and Falcons game in Vegas. Do you need an WNBA jersey? I don't think I'll get a jersey. Come on. Look at a shirt, man. Come on. Get in. Joey's here. Get in where WNBA jersey. All right. That's a little too far. Oh, I can't do it. I'll get a shirt with their number on it or something. Look at that. One of those jersey shirts. Oh, but-- That's funny. Shout out to the Aces. Great season. Great run. Shout out to the Broncos. All good things come doing it. Shout out to the Broncos. I got to go play both of these teams this season in person. Raiders and Broncos. I'm feeling a little bit better about the Raiders game. Although in terms of the way atmosphere, excuse me, been to the Denver Broncos. We're not even going to talk about bad as an experience. It was. We've already been down that road. It was pretty bad as well. But never been to Rayderland. The Rayta Nation. Now, this ain't Oakland. This is Vegas. So, we'll walk up in that bad boy. Do my thing. Ooh. Vegas could be so fun. Really with a dub. You know what I mean? Hell yeah. But the Cardinals. They left Santa Clara. With a tough one, dog. With a dub. Hell yeah. I mean, Shout's kind of a merge. You know that he celebrated from 45 yards out on a touchdown? He knew it. He knew it. As soon as he broke the line, threw it up, he was gone. He knew it. Brought party. Just playing great football. I mean, what is he? Like, how 12 quarterback? Dude, the luxury of having him being Mr. relevant. Not having to pay him until, you know, whenever his contracts up or whatever. And then him producing like this. It's so, it's so incredible. I mean, he's just reliable. You know, if you look at why they lost this game today, I mean, it's actually kind of insane. They had like a block kick return for a touchdown. They had a defensive pick six or something like that. Like it was like a Falcons game where they scored off of all those special team's ways. And they just, this is the other side of it. This is the side that, you know, kind of, you know, it doesn't look too hot. For, um, you know, I saw I have an ad pop up kind of derailed me. But you get what I'm trying to say. Yeah, I got to. This isn't a great performance by the 49ers to lose. Now they got all the plays that they needed to win this game. They made all the plays. It was just the Arizona Cardinals who were able to come down. I mean, they were driving down the field down two points. Or how were they down one point? Trying to think exactly what the score was whenever they were driving down the field and needed that game winning field goal. Because if they won 2423, then they must have been down 2321. They scored 11 points in the fourth quarter. Yeah. Yeah, they went down to with a minute 56 left. I remember this vividly and they just drive down the field mainly because of Kyler Murray. But too, they were getting so much from James Connor. Like he started this game. That's why I hated that this ad popped up because I really needed. Um, to get Connor as a stat line here, 19 for 86. Right. Literally all that came in the second half. He had like nine yards in the first half. So they clearly relied on him to be a big part of why they came back. But Kyler Murray, seven for 83 and a touchdown. We talked about it. A lot of that came on one chunk. But when you just added up 26 rushing attempts for 160 yards and a touchdown, you're chewing clock, you're playing balance. It's moving the ball. You get a lot. Michael Wilson, five for 78. He was a big time player in this game. Marvin Harrison Jr. or Marvin Harrison Jr. Because by having seven targets, a very quiet two catches for 36. Um, Trey McBride, six for 53 off nine targets. Kyler Murray has his favorite weapons. Ooh, brutal play there. Yeah. Kyler Murray has his weapons. It just seems like, you know, for whatever reason, 49ers just, they weren't destined to win this game. Although they were getting all the bounces going their way. When a team blocks a kicking gets a defensive touchdown. How do you not win that game? Yeah, I mean, when the odds are against you, they're against you hard. I mean, that's the only thing really other than the two turnovers that, you know, broke pretty had, which, you know, ended up at the end biting them in the ass. You play great football. Those turnovers are going to be extra crucial at the end of the game. But no doubt, you know, you got to give it to Arizona. It came back from 13 points, capped it off. I still liked what I saw from Brock though. In this game I will say, but the two turnovers obviously critical, but a lot of it's just, you know, I'm trying to make plays and trying to get the win for his team. Because he knows like, hey, like Cardinals kind of came with it today. They got that momentum. And I liked what I saw. But also Jordan Mason, I wanted to give him a shout out 14 for 89. Big time. He has the most rushing yards through five games and 49ers history. Kyle Shanahan just gets these guys, man. That's why I don't feel like it's ever really a good idea to pay somebody like McCaffrey, because you're going to get the production for free. You're going to get it for a rookie, you know, an undrafted guy, a third round guy. You don't need this type of weapon when you have so many wide receivers, especially if it comes down to like guys holding out like I, you and Trent Williams, you feel like the running back position is the one that should go to the wayside a little bit. Just my personal opinion, but also four carries for 33 yards for Purdy. So that may be a little bit more is just, he's starting to evolve into more of just that complete quarterback where he can get you those, those yards on the ground if you really need them. I didn't know he was as shifty as he was to. He shook the hell out of, out of a DB at one of those, one of those long. He actually has a faster 10 yard split than some of the guys on the team. Like Peebo Samuel, I believe. I wouldn't doubt it, man. He showed some athletic ability. I'm only sure what it was though, because he like was, he like, he said he really had a faster 10 yard split than them. And like people like kind of laughed and thought he was joking. And he actually pulled it up and he was dead serious. Yeah, sneaky athletic. He's sneaky athletic. And he really found his number one target brand. And I eat this game, eight receptions, almost 150 on them both. And I feel like that's good for the team right there. That's good for, obviously, their connection and how they go forward from here. And we could see what happens and how what they could do on the field from this game. One person we can no longer say sneaky athletic, because they've been saying it since he was like in the draft process, Daniel Jones. But Daniel Jones did have a pretty decent day. One of his better performances as a New York giant, if I will. Yeah, it was pretty good. 34, 257 and two touchdowns, but he also had 11 carries for 38 yards. And they were all like drive, extending runs. Yeah, yeah. So it's not just like they were just like garbage time or anything like that. And they went to Seattle and got the win here. I know they're two and three. You look at the commanders and obviously the two juggers not doing your division. So the Giants are kind of looking up right now, just destined for a last place finish it seems. But getting a win like this against a team like the Seattle Seahawks, you give them their second loss of the season. Yeah. It's definitely something to hang your hat on. Like you could build off of this. And how they did it was what was more impressive. The defensive line of Thibodeau and Dexter Lawrence. And who else, who else I can't think of him right now? God damn it, I had it just a second ago. Brian Burns, those guys are putting on them in pressure after pressure. Excellent defense to a point where Geno Smith was going to his number one target play after play after play and not really going through his reads. And then finally got comfortable a little bit and was opening up. But they really had it going and the pressure going to him. And I loved how they adapted from that. Offensively, Dair Slaton was alive. Tracy Jr., I can't remember. I think this is his name. They were going off on offense as well. And you love to see how, you know, teams get, how they could turn it around with just, you know, people pocket ship one week and then having them falling over you one week. But A reception for 122 were Dair Slaton's stats. Eric Gray was the next with the reception for 50 yards. But Tyrone Tracy rushing yards, 129 for off of 18 carries. Probably was one of the biggest aspects of this game of them winning it. Taking off a lot of the running, a lot of the clock off the game was a good recipe for them winning here. I mean, Tyrone Tracy, like you said, was in 29 yards. What was told that thing? Every one second yards a carry. When you get what you got from Daniel Jones too, obviously, that's a winning formula. We're not going to run the football. That's number one. Exactly. If you can run the ball, that's such an advantage, man. You can just take all of the life out of a football team by truly just running the ball, you know, and just kind of milking that clock. Taking all the air out of the football, and that's really all you want. The only thing I could see wanting more is the Saints to hold off and lose this game. They're currently losing 23 to 13. Got a 10-point deficit in the fourth quarter to Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. So, you know, you don't expect Mahomes to lose this one, right? No, no. Six minutes left in the game. They've got a 10-point lead this game. Talk it up. And they're in scoring position right now as well. So at least they come out with the field goal. It's a two-position game already. This game's already over. Yeah. Have to agree, have to agree. Packers Rams, our buddy Vince. He showed up to that one. Oh, shut up, Vince. He was there. It's his birthday weekend. Happy birthday, Vince as well. Happy birthday, big dog. Great birthday gift. And, you know, you go across country, you go to LA, Los Angeles, no less. Watch your team get a dub. So, shout out to the Packers for having, you know, phenomenal performance. This wasn't one of the games that I had my eyes on, because in the three o'clock squad I was watching the 49ers game and the Giants game. Yeah. So, you know, I did, I have a chance to kind of catch up a little bit and kind of see, you know what happened? I saw that brutal pick six from Jordan Love. Yeah. But it just seemed like the Rams just didn't have it. You know, and the number one wide receiver is... He's out. What's his name? No. Whitney, Texas. Whittingworth or? Whittington. Whittington, yes. His name, yes. Jordan Whittington, I think. Rookie out of Texas. Yeah, rookie out of Texas. So, that's, Jordan Whittington, yes. So, you know, it's going to be kind of tough. He finished seven reception for 89 yards. Jordan Love, Josh Jacobs is, you know, this team came to play. Xavier McKinney is one of the better defenders in the league this season. He's had three high sections in four games. He's going to probably have an all-pro season. Five games. Just the way that he's balling out. So, yeah, he's balling. Shout out to the Packers for getting a cross country win. You love to see it on the road. The delayed game, like we talked about last night, Dallas Cowboys, Pittsburgh Steelers battle of, you know, two legendary, iconic franchises. So, they're not football. The game was delayed. Super, super late. Talked about Dak Prescott being the first quarterback to throw a touchdown and interception in two separate days. They're not the same game. It's one of the biggest highlights. Other than that, I mean, a couple of interceptions here there. Tolbert scored a game winning touchdown for the Dallas Cowboys. And they were able to walk out with a win, a road win. And it's always important. This is a big time rivalry. But they haven't played in prime time. Cowboys and Steelers since 1982. Been a long time. So, yeah, this is no doubt about it. Uniform matchup of the week. It's good. Get it out of the way now. Yeah, it's a must. And I'm looking forward to seeing where both of these teams go. Yeah, Cowboys. We talked about the Steelers. They're not going anywhere. They kind of have fallen back down to Earth. We talked about that. But I do think they're going to eventually kind of water is going to find its level. And they're going to find themselves somewhere in the middle from where they are now and where they were to start this season. What's that going to look like with Justin Fields or is that a Russell Wilson? That's the field. I don't feel like there's any point going back to Russell Wilson. I think Justin Fields actually kind of hides some of their other weaknesses that they have going on on their offense. So, it'd be foolish to kind of take him out at this point. Yeah, I think so as well. What's the younger guy? I can understand if he's playing like Desmond Ritter, but if he's not, then yeah, we the guy in. That's just my personal opinion. Why do you have to take a shot at this? I mean, he's just, for now, he's that guy. He's the scapegoat. He's the one that's fresh of mine. You know, maybe at some point, someone else will kind of creep up there for a while there was Nathan Peterman. Mag Jones. Maybe for a short, short period, but. Got to get to him. His window was so short, I really didn't have that much of an opportunity to give him one month. I like it. That does it for us here on the Week 5 review show. Thank you guys so much. Hell yeah. We went ahead and covered the Monday night game. 358 left. Chiefs get the win. St. Suck. The game is the usual script here. Yeah. Go ahead. Print it off. Stay tuned for college football function. Week 6 review. Hell yeah. Probably going to get more and more episodes coming just from. Obviously, the Grim Rifa. He's going to be dropping more international episodes because we got more international games in the coming weeks. As well, it says typical wager episodes every week. So he's contributing. We love what we're getting from Grim. Shout out, Grim. Appreciate you. And a shot to everybody else. You should be back next week. Obviously, week six. We're going to talk about these games. So he's not going to be covering the Sunday night or Monday night game. So he'll be able to just dive back in week six. Don't look forward to that. But Terry, thank you so much for joining. I know you had a long, long day. And this is over an hour long episode. So I certainly appreciate you taking the time. I'm going to let you go so you can get back to relaxing and let you end your evening on a nice relaxing note. He has five years ago. But, uh, Funkeys have a damn good week. Well, passionately in the direction of your dreams. We'll talk to you soon. A message paid for by veterans for all voters.
