Obituaries for Tuesday, October 8. Four announcements from Fair Funeral Home. Funeral services for Gracie Roach Turner are tomorrow at 11. Burial in Danview Cemetery. Visitation this evening, 5 till 7. Doris Jean Lawson Massey, 74 of Ridgeway, died October 6. Raveside Services are Thursday at 2 at Mountview Cemetery. Visitation tomorrow evening, 5 till 7. She was a member of Temple of Faith in Ridgeway and worked as a cook at the Bryan Center until retirement. Surviving our children Mark Massey and Amy of Stonewall, Lisa Massey Jones and Jeremy of Eden, Billy Jean Massey of Ridgeway, eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by husband Jerry Massey. Herbert Herb Francis Sellers, 91 of Ridesville, died October 5. Funeral services are Thursday at 2 with visitation at 1. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida and raised in St. Augustine. After graduating from high school in 1952, he joined the United States Navy and served four years. He was a member of Trinity Wesleyan Church, worked as a residential home representative for Duke Power for over 30 years. Was past president of Rockingham Home Builders Association, past Exalted Ruler of Ridesville Oaks, president of Rockingham Duke Power Retirees, a member of the Ridesville J.C.'s, volunteered with the Boy Scouts and Hospice of Rockingham County. He was also a Gideon. Surviving are his wife of 51 years and Odell Sellers, son Herbert Burt Wayne Sellers and Lee, stepchildren, Sherry Joyce Mills and Allen, and Robert Bobo Joyce, four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, and daughter, a chosen daughter, Marcia Davis and pets. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rockingham County Animal Shelter or saving grace, animals for adoption in sea. Janice McCollum, 84 of Eden, died October 6. Private burial will be held at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens. She was born in Rockingham County, was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church and worked as a security guard at Pilatex until retirement. Surviving are sisters, Judy Lowe and Ken and Jeanette Underwood and Ronnie, and brother J.W. McCollum and Ruth all of Eden. The staff thinks the family thanks the staff at Eden Rehabilitation and Healthcare and roommate Susan Woods for their care, compassion, and friendship. Two announcements from Perry Spencer Funeral Homes. Arrangements for Andrew Dillard, 81 of Yensieville, formerly of Eden, are incomplete in Eden. Public viewing for Justin D. Hilton is today one to seven in Eden. The family will receive friends tomorrow at 1230 at Morning Star Baptist Church, with funeral services at one, internment in the church cemetery. Memorial services for Larry Victor Evans are Saturday at four at the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ in Eden. Boone and Cook Funeral Home is serving the family.
