Jimmy addresses the latest news, like a poll finding that voters think Harris is more fun than Trump, before speaking with Chris Pine and Nicholas Braun and welcoming comedian Mary Mack for stand-up.

[MUSIC PLAYING] [CHEERING] From Studio 6B in Rockefeller Center in the heart of New York City, it's a collective starring Jimmy Fallon. [MUSIC PLAYING] My joint Jimmy has got Chris Pine, Nicholas Braun, comedians Mary Maxwell, and featuring the legendary Ruth Cruz. 2034. And now, here he is, Jimmy Fallon. [CHEERING] [MUSIC PLAYING] [CHEERING] [MUSIC PLAYING] [CHEERING] [MUSIC PLAYING] [CHEERING] [MUSIC PLAYING] [CHEERING] [MUSIC PLAYING] [MUSIC PLAYING] Come on. That's a hot crowd. Hot crowd. Thank you very much. Enjoy yourself. Welcome, everybody. Welcome, welcome, welcome to the Tonight Show. You're here. We made it. [CHEERING] Thank you for watching. Well, guys, last night, 60 Minutes aired their big election special, but only Vice President Harris was featured, because Trump broke 50 years of tradition and backed out of the interview. Oh, man. Now, how are we ever going to hear what Donald Trump thinks about anything? [LAUGHTER] Of course, Trump kept changing his explanation about why he couldn't do it. He was like, I have concepts of an excuse? [LAUGHTER] After the interview, Trump went on a rant on truth social. You can't pretend you're too busy than post about how you watch it. [LAUGHTER] And get this new poll found that voters think Harris is more fun than Trump. [CHEERING] I'm sure that was a tough question for voters. [LAUGHTER] This upbeat woman who enjoys laughter, food, and wine, or the guy who looks like the anger of motion from inside out. [LAUGHTER] Meanwhile, people are talking about this. There's a new book out about Trump, and it says that since leaving office, he secretly called Vladimir Putin seven times. [AUDIENCE EXCLAIMING] When they heard Eric and Don Jr. said, "Hey, that's seven more times than he called us." [LAUGHTER] Some more news today, Melania Trump released her new memoir, Melania. The book tells her whole life story. One reader was like, "Wow, I didn't know any of this." [LAUGHTER] It's all new to me. This is a great book. [LAUGHTER] Yeah, it's called Melania. When asked why she called her book Melania, she said, "Because gongrel was already taken." [LAUGHTER] Well, switching gears. I read that one of the biggest French fry factories in North America is closing, and Americans are eating fewer French fries. [AUDIENCE EXCLAIMING] People are eating fewer French fries than every Uber East Drive was like, "Speak for yourself." [LAUGHTER] And finally, Qantas Airlines apologized after an issue with their in-flight entertainment system caused a nude scene to play on every passenger's screen that couldn't be turned off. [LAUGHTER] It was the first time a plane landed and nobody wanted to stand up. We have a great show. Give it up for the real ladies and gentlemen. [MUSIC PLAYING] Oh, what a show we have for you tonight. He is a talented actor. He was a new children's book I would call "When Digs the Dog, Medzerl the Squirrel." Chris Pine is here. [AUDIENCE CHEERING] There's Chris Pine. There he is there. [AUDIENCE CHEERING] He's stars in the new movie "Saturday Night," which is in select theaters now and everywhere. This Friday, Nicholas Braun is joining us. He's fantastic. [AUDIENCE CHEERING] And we got great stand-up from Mary Mack. [AUDIENCE CHEERING] So good. [AUDIENCE CHEERING] Guys, it can be hard to say goodbye, but sometimes you just have to, and there are a few things I like to say goodbye to right now. It's time for "Go On Get." [AUDIENCE CHEERING] [AUDIENCE CHEERING] [AUDIENCE CHEERING] [AUDIENCE CHEERING] [AUDIENCE CHEERING] [AUDIENCE CHEERING] [AUDIENCE CHEERING] [AUDIENCE CHEERING] [AUDIENCE CHEERING] [AUDIENCE CHEERING] [AUDIENCE CHEERING] [AUDIENCE CHEERING] [AUDIENCE CHEERING] [AUDIENCE CHEERING] [AUDIENCE CHEERING] [AUDIENCE CHEERING] [AUDIENCE CHEERING] [AUDIENCE CHEERING] [AUDIENCE CHEERING] Go on get an app that requires subscriptions. But if you think for one second, I'm just going to forget I subscribed and pay you $5 a month for the rest of my life, well, guess what? You're right. [AUDIENCE CHEERING] Now, go on get! Unfolding a new dress shirt in his packaging? Why must you be so hard to do? All I want to do is try on a shirt and a dress room. But first, I got to pull apart 10 star-shaped paper clips, two plastic collar thingies, tissue paper, some giant cardboard plate, and 75 of the tiniest little pins you can ever see. [AUDIENCE CHEERING] And that's not even counting the six more pins I find stuck in my back later that day when I sit down. I got places to go, things to do. I can't be spending two hours in the dress room deconstructing a van Houston. [AUDIENCE CHEERING] Now go on here! And I mean, the vibe that I wanted to create is something that was classic and felt like it had been on the shelf forever and reminded me of. It does feel like, yeah, but that I would read growing up. Like Bia Shrix Potter. Like Bia Shrix. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. They become friends. They're scared of each other. They don't like one another. That's very true. Yeah. But then it's like, wait, are you growling at me? Or do you care about me or what's happening here? Yeah. I like the idea, you know, the idea of, um, wall compassion, basically. But, you know, that bully is like behind every bully. There's probably a story of the time when they were really vulnerable and were kicked around. And the reason why they're angry and, you know, mangy and picking on someone else. So this is really a story about two bullies that find out that they're both kind of sad and finding that they're both sad and make each other feel better. Yeah. And they become friends in the backyard. Yeah. It's so cute. Congrats in the book. And thanks to Chris Pine, because everyone in the audience is going home with the copy of the book tonight. That's all done now. Chris Pine, everybody. When did the God back zero, the squirrel is available now. It's fantastic. Thank you. Nicholas Brown joins us after the break. Stick around, everybody. Thank you again. [MUSIC] [APPLAUSE] Our next guest is a multiple Emmy-nominated actor who stars in the new movie Saturday Night, which is in select theaters now and everywhere. This Friday, please welcome Nicholas Brown. [MUSIC] Nicholas Brown, welcome back to the show You Look Sharp, bud. They were standing up. Yeah. That's how much they love you. We love you. Take it in. Take it in. Get it in. Just feel the love. Thanks for coming back. Last time you were here is right around the succession finale. I hadn't aired yet. Man, fans are all talking about the finale. Are you happy with how it ended? Yeah. Yeah. I mean, everybody feel like I did a weird jacket thing. Just like a weird one. Do you have another button? Yeah. How many buttons? That's really nice. Yeah. They kind of show it off. Yeah. You got to show the abs off, absolutely. Yeah. I mean, I thought the episode was amazing. Fans are kind of generally like a little bit upset at how it ended with Greg. And they'll come up to me. We love cousin Greg. Yeah, we love cousin Greg. And he did. [CHEERING] Thank you. And he did great, but some people are like, you know, he should have gotten it all. Like, I thought he was going to get out, you know, get everything. Yeah. And I'm like, he kind of did. Like, he's that close. Like, you know, if you do one more season, like he takes over Tom, you know. Yeah, he does. So, you know, give us one more and it's Greg time. Yeah. That's right. It's Greg time, if you give us one more. Yeah. At one point, I read that you almost had a totally different career path. You were going to be a mathematician? Yeah. Yeah. What is that? How? What do you mean? [LAUGHTER] What were you really in the math? Yeah. Yeah. I still love it. Yeah. This was in high school. That I kind of became passionate. Yeah. I had this teacher. I went to a boarding school and I was placed in ninth grade in algebra one enhanced, which sounds like sexy maybe. But it was for like the sort of idiot math, like sort of rejects. Oh. It was like six or seven of us. Oh, enhancement. Like, not quite ready. It was like, yeah, people. [LAUGHTER] Okay. Not quite ready. Okay. So, algebra one was a different, that was an algebra one enhanced. It was slower kids. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, okay. Yeah. So, so, yeah. So, you know, I had this teacher, Mr. Pettis, who's not with us anymore, but he was like kind of just really mean to you in class. Oh. It would just kind of embarrass you in front of the chalkboard. So, he'd throw these little pop quizzes and everybody lines up at the chalkboard and you do what you think is a good job. And then he's just sort of like, bad, you're bad, you're horrible. And basically, I kind of got obsessed with math because I wanted to impress Mr. Pettis. Wow. And he also had this kind of obsession with TI-83s. Oh, my God. We've all had one of those. Those calculators? Yeah. Too many buttons. So many. Yeah. That's a lot of business. And, and I learned about them. I really, I got super, you know, deep into my Texas Instruments. To improve them wrong. Yeah. He was obsessed. I was like, yeah, Mr. Pettis, like, show me how to do more than just like the worm that chases the tail, you know, and type 808S for five, you know. Wow. Wow. You really got nerdy. You really got into it. Yeah, for sure. That's wild. And then when did it stop or did it stop? Are you like a beautiful mine right now? When you look at me, are you like drawing with your eyeballs and doing equations right now? Yeah. Yeah. Oh, yeah. I did not know that. Well, I'm happy that you chose acting because you're fantastic and you're great. Also, I've run into you at a couple of places because you're also a very successful businessman. You have pieces of some bars and restaurants around the city. Yeah, yeah. You have four bars and a restaurant that I'm a part owner in. Yeah. Are you good at this? I mean, I think you are. I think, yeah. Yeah. I think I'm picking so far successfully. Yeah. What are the places? Because I know a few. Then which one? So we got raised. Yeah. Raised Lower East Side. That's great. Raised two green points. Yup. Jacks, no ho. Yup. Pebble Bar, which is attached to 30 Rock. I've been to Pebble Bar many a time. Yeah. Just building. Yeah. Yes. Do you know the history behind Pebble Bar? I know a little bit. I guess it was Hurley's before it was Pebble Bar. I love Hurley's. Did you go when it was? Of course. It used to go many times with the SNL cast. Yeah. It was a bar down in the basement almost for, yeah, Magnolia. Yeah. It's, yeah. So it's, we call it Pebble because it's this small little thing at the foot of 30 Rock. So huge building. It's a little Pebble, you know. It's a four-story brownstone, a lot of history. These guys, the Hurley brothers, owned it for a long time. Yeah. It was closed for like 30 years and then we opened it back up in 2021 and it's a big hit. It's awesome. Yeah. It's a great bar. I love Pebble Bar. Do you know there's a secret entrance that you can get through through the back hallways here? I've heard about it. Johnny Carson used to take, and Jimmy Fallon, I heard, sometimes takes in. I might have set the alarms off, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You just sort of put it through. I guess it's not really legal to do what I did, but I go, I heard you can get to this door so I just kind of opened up some door. And I got into the bar. Because you just try all the doors all the time and just see. I really wanted to get into this bar, yeah, I wanted to see if I can get in from here and not go out in the street and I did it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But the alarms. Come with us. We're all going to take... Yeah, let's go to Pebble Bar tonight. We did. We did. Let's talk Saturday night. This movie, about "Saturday Night Live," it's in select theaters now. You're fantastic, and it's really well done. As a person that experienced "Saturday Night Live," I can tell you it's almost too real. It really kind of got my heart beating, and it's exciting, and Jason Ryman did a great job directing it. You play two roles in this. You're a tour de force. I do. I do. I play Jim Henson and Andy Kaufman. Yeah. I mean, Andy Kaufman, a big tonight's show is gone. Absolutely. You're in the first scene of the film, the first big scene shot right here outside, outside "30 Rock." Yeah, that's pretty epic. Yeah, that's pretty cool. Pretty cool night. Did Jason just say, "Hey, I think you should play Andy Kaufman?" So I knew I was going to play Jim for a few years. Literally like three years ago, Gil Kennan, who's one of the writers with Jason. Fantastic. He told me about Jim, and they were like, "We're writing this for you. Hopefully you'll play Jim when it gets made." Because the muppets were in the first "Saturday Night Live." First season, yeah. They were only in one season. They didn't do super well on the show. Yeah, here's you as Jim Henson right there. Yeah. Yeah, it's well done. Yeah, it's great. A lot of hair. Yeah. So you get Jim Henson, you go, "Yeah, I'm great. I'll do Jim. This is amazing." The movie sounds great. Let's do it. In a few weeks before we started shooting, Jason's like, "Let's get a meal. Let's talk." And I'm like, "Let's talk about Jim. I want to hear what you know about him, your research and mine, and let's flesh him out." And he was like, "Actually, so Benny Safti was playing Andy Kaufman, Benny's going to go direct a movie. Do you want to play Andy Kaufman?" I was like, "Yeah, sure." Sure. What did you do? I'll switch. Yeah. I can switch if you want. And he was like, "No, just play both." I just love that. That's very, you know, it's a very seren alive spirit, by the way, where it's like the show must go on. It's like, "Hey, just do both." Yeah. Just drop right in. But you don't even know that you're, here's you as Andy Kaufman. Look at this. Yeah. Well done. Yeah. You're saying, "Mommy." Yeah. You know, Andy's a very important, legendary comedian, so I was like, "Oh, like, I got to learn about this guy. I got to sort of do a lot of research in two or three weeks." What research did you do? I mean, you know, there's books and podcasts, but there's so many videos of him, so I kind of went through all his videos, and "The Tonight Show" was a really big deal for Andy, and he premiered his like, "foreign man" character. Yeah. It sort of, this sort of little piece. Thank you so much, Mr. Fallon, for having me on this show. Oh, thank you for being here. And it comes from me. And he really, like, he never blinked, was like another thing. Oh, yeah. Like, he blinked very rarely. Interesting. Yeah. So, so he would just, you know, he'd sit down at the desk and just sort of, like... Yes. Mr. Carson, like... Good. I have to... That's wild. That's wild. I want to be in show this name. Dude, this feels weird right now. Yeah. This is good. Nicholas Broad, everybody. Saturday night is in select theaters now and everywhere. This Friday, we'll be right back with more "Tonight Show" stick around. And we'll be right back with more "Tonight Show". Our next guest is the host of the North Star Comedy Hour podcast available on Apple Podcast. Please welcome the very funny Mary Mack! Oh, man. Thank you. Thank you so much. It's so nice to be in the big city. I grew up outside a tone of 500 people in Northern Wisconsin. Not convenient. I had to borrow three cars to learn how to pair a little park. Yeah. If you haven't been, Northern Wisconsin is the home of the most bars that might be houses. Nobody here in New York City ever has to go up to a bar and be like, "I don't know. Should I knock first?" I have a small town inferiority complex. I do. And I go around the country doing comedy shows and the emcee of the show will always be like, "Oh, this other comic flew in all the way from Los Angeles." Big deal. Have you tried flying from Lansing? Yeah? Yeah. Yeah. Those people had five connections. Five. And they had to spread pesticide the whole way. Yeah. Thanks. Thanks. That's impressive. There is no five-star admirals club in the East Lansing airport, all right? There is a lion's club and they're having a frat feet in the parking lot if you got cash. Okay. I realize I sound a little Minnesota, Wisconsin-y, right? So I know. So if I slip into my dialect, I told the producers I might just go ahead and put some of them subtitles up there, right? So, so if people, I want people to understand, it's just going to be like a few words here and there. Not a big deal. Okay. Okay. Ah. Right. [laughter] Exciting news everyone, last year my mom at the age of 83 started, started mental therapy for the first year. Yes. I know. I know. I'm so, so proud. So I really admire somebody who can say, you know what? Something's not been right for like 70 years. [laughter] I'm thinking about the ones I'm going to board it. I dreamt I had the world's best therapist. Mm-hmm. Yeah. I could have dreamt. I didn't need therapy. [laughter] You know you can know whatever you want in your dreams, right? You can fly to the moon. Not me. I'm still taking the bus to counseling. Yeah. Yeah. If I can do it, I can dream it. That's my motto. [laughter] My rural county decided they're going to have an air show this year. Yeah. That's the right amount of enthusiasm for that. Yeah. Yeah. We don't have the technology everyone who's going to mow their runway. That's what I want to know. This is the same airport I took my snow bill safety classes at. Yeah. My brother took his gun classes at this airport. Most airports frown on guns at the airport, not the Northern Burnett County regional air. What regions are we serving? It's Jeff and Chad in a pontoon plane. [laughter] Come on. Guys, our control tower, it's a deer stand. Yeah? We have roadkill on the tarmac. Our landing strip is lit with Home Depot solar patio lighting. You got to pray it was sunny earlier, too, or you're in trouble. Mm. Rough landing. Rough landing, everybody. Where I'm from, we only have a volunteer fire department. So I admire how New York City pays its firefighters. Yeah. Because when you start giving your firefighters money, they get really attractive. [laughter] Oh, my gosh. [applause] Seriously. Oh, I was accidentally the source of a very large firefighter dispatch one time in New York City. Oh, the ugliest one was an eight. Oh, my. Seriously. [applause] Nobody came with plumbers, but nobody had a beer belly and an open bushlight. Nobody came dressed in camel because they were at Bullhund when they got the call. Mm-hmm. I just-- I thought I had one like the Chippendales Queen for a day, D-Locks birthday party package. Or, yeah, or, or like, like the thunder from down under dancers were all on a charity run. And we're here to hose you don't, ma'am. Oh, my God. Thank you. These aren't suspenders. They're slingshots for hunks. Ah, thank you for your service. I'm Ermec. Thank you guys so much.
