Listen to this message from Ted Delacath, former army infantrymen and ranger qualified platoon leader active in the army reserves. When I enlist in the army, I swore an oath to this country, not any political party. That's why I'm interested in citizens ballot measures around the country to reduce the power of political parties. Colorado votes on one too. Right now, election rules allow political insiders to hand pick party nominees. It's the reason we're usually stuck voting for the lesser of two evils. Colorado's plan creates an open primary where all candidates appear on one primary ballot. Every voter has the freedom to vote for any candidate, no matter which party. The Colorado plan advances four candidates to the general election, not two. That means more choices for voters in the primary and general election. Get the facts. Elections belong to the voters, not political parties. Paid for by veterans for all voters, Anthony Haas registered agent. The use of military rank and job titles does not imply endorsement by the Department of the Army or the Department of Defense of this ballot measure. What's up everybody and welcome back to another time time edition of the football fellowship podcast. I am once again your hopes for my apologies for kind of the later episode this week. I've been gone on vacation. So just kind of getting back in the routine and everything but I didn't want to leave y'all out missing out on the Sunday night and the Monday night game that took place in week five. I believe Mike took over the Thursday night game because his falcons were playing. So like I said, I'm just going to be covering those two games. We're going to start off with the Sunday night game where the Dallas Cowboys faced off with the Pittsburgh Steelers. This was a kind of a slow paced game from what I just kind of what I gathered. I didn't really get to watch most of it because like I said, I was gone. First half was pretty much just a field goal battle. And then you know, the second half came out with the Steelers coming back and taking the lead on them. And but then the Cowboys being able to get 14 points in the fourth quarter with a last minute fourth down play on the five yard line with 20 seconds to go where Dak Prescott was able to find a Tolbert for the touchdown to give him the go ahead win. And like I said, the Cowboys ended up winning this game 20 to 17. It was a pretty ugly game for Dak Prescott. He he threw for 352 yards had two touchdowns, but he did have two interceptions. And I just think their offense kind of struggled getting everything going. I believe their rushing game once again just seemed subpar. That's going to be the biggest struggle with the Cowboys moving forward is they've got they've reached they run through about four different running backs. And none of them are really doing anything doubt. They just struggle some. I think they're going to have issues moving the ball, but it just I this team ultimately depends on how Dak Prescott's going to play. And you know, he has good games and he has bad games. So it really just comes down to really him and how well that defense is going to be able to play. Justin Fields kind of had a slow game to only thrown for 131 yards, but he did have two touchdowns. nausea hairs 42 yards. And he also led with 35 yards receiving. So it was a real just not much offense going on. You know, like I said, that final score again being 20 to 17. Just not a not as much of a fun prime time game as we've come to expect or what we've had so far this season. But let's move on to the Monday night game where the New Orleans Saints faced off with the Kansas City Chiefs. Again, I didn't really get to catch much of this one either. I was traveling back, but from kind of what I gathered, it seemed like it was a kind of a welcome home basically for Kareem Hunt again. He's been to the Chiefs before, but he had 27 carries for 102 yards and one touchdown. Patrick Mahomes again thrown for 331 yards. He didn't throw a touchdown pass, but he did have and he did have an interception kind of one that was on the goal line. That was kind of a tip ball kind of could have gone really either way. But and then Juju Smith Seusser was another guy just kind of out of nowhere came up with 131 yards. So offense for the Chiefs, they've just got weapons all over the place even when they're down has many players as they're down. People just tend to step up them signing Hunt seem to pay off now. You know, him getting over 200 yards rushing. Just to print, like I said, they're five and 0 for a reason. They're a good team, tough team. It's going to be they always can find a playmaker somewhere. Regardless of what receivers they have, Patrick Mahomes is Patrick Mahomes. He's going to win games for him. He's going to create great plays for him and he's just going to be Patrick Mahomes. That's really all you can say about him. Kind of moving on to the Saints. Derek Carr had an ugly, ugly interception kind of in the start of the game. Really struggled. You know, only thrown for 165 yards. I know it's been announced that Ratler is starting next week. Like I said, I didn't catch it. So I'm not sure. I imagine I think he got hurt maybe with a shoulder injury or something's going on. So it'll be interesting to kind of see how that goes off. But you know, Ratler looked pretty decent in the preseason. So I don't think that they're I mean, he is a rookie, but I think they'll be okay. You know, they've got that that team's got a lot of talent. So like I said, the Chiefs basically held off the Saints 26-13 improving to again, five and 0. The Saints moved to two and three. And then like I said, guys, that's pretty much it for this episode. Like I said, I didn't really get to watch most of these games. So kind of just giving you all a quick breakdown in the scores and kind of the stats and that's been really nothing really fancy this week. But I look to get back on track on everything. Starting week six for the prime time game. So hope to see you all then. Hey Amazon Prime members. Why pay more for groceries when you can save big on thousands of items at Amazon Fresh?
