A message paid for by veterans for all voters. Listen to this message from Ted Delacath, former Army infantryman and Ranger qualified platoon leader active in the Army Reserves. When I enlist in the Army, I swore an oath to this country, not any political party. That's why I'm interested in citizens' ballot measures around the country to reduce the power of political parties. Colorado votes on one too. Right now, election rules allow political insiders to hand-pick party nominees. It's the reason we're usually stuck voting for the lesser of two evils. Colorado's plan creates an open primary where all candidates appear on one primary ballot. Every voter has the freedom to vote for any candidate, no matter which party. The Colorado plan advances four candidates to the general election, not two. That means more choices for voters in the primary and general election. Get the facts. Elections belong to the voters, not political parties. Paid for by veterans for all voters, Anthony Haas registered agent. The use of military rank and job titles does not implant doors meant by the Department of the Army or the Department of Defense of this ballot measure. What did you do? Baby, you know that big would be by now, right? You know that's the intro, the sound, the theme, the song of the college football function, and you know the voice by now, don't you, right? It is CM, the host. That just knows the most about college football, AKA, Mr. Still Your Grandma. AKA, Mr. Perfect. AKA, Mr. AKA. CM Funk, cousin Mike, the guy that just brings you to college football, man. What a week end, I should say, of football. The NFL slate was pretty good, but it all started, you know, Friday and Saturday, like I said, should have labeled it up said weekend, because that's what it ended up being. Pretty crazy to think that when I talked to you guys, about this time, last week, when I put out the week six preview show, I said, you know, this is not the best. You know, week five was so, you know, had all the fireworks and had the big time match ups, and I dug into the week six slate of games, and I got, you know, 13 games for you guys, but little did I know that I'm counting all these extra games that I do for you guys after, you know, the ones that I told you guys to watch. I go through and I write all these other games that make, you know, sense to me that stood out to me, that there was an upset that I didn't talk about, so on and so forth. I counted 10 upsets. You know, I think seven, six or seven were, you know, top 25, you know, upsets, you know, definitely teams that they shouldn't have lost to. It's just insane, college football is unpredictable at best. Even your boy, I do a college football pick 'em every single week, and I'm at, after this weekend, I should say, I'm about 48, 49%. That's a little under 500, but show me somebody who picks college football games and, you know, you pick 10 games a week and it shows you the 10 games that you're gonna pick, and I'm like 49%. I think that's pretty good, you know, of course, no one can predict some of these upsets we've had, especially the past couple of weeks, even all the way to week zero, it's just nuts. It really is. On any given Saturday, a little guy can be the big guy. You know, I preach that, I talk about rivalries. You know, when there's a rivalry game to be had, the team that is the little brother, the team that probably has the weaker record, can beat their big brother, they're a team with a name next to 'em, a team with a number next to 'em, you know, a blue blood, so to speak, it could happen on even any given day. So I got a big doozy of a game for you guys, doozy of a game, doozy of a slate of things that I have to give to you guys, and let's get into it, and then at the end of the show, seeing how a majority, I'd probably say 80, 85% of NCAA schools, you know, division one schools, I've played at least six games, that's the halfway point. You know, you're told 12 games, 14 weeks, two buys. Let's go through at the end of the show, we're gonna go through, and I'm gonna tell you, who's in the lead of their respective conferences, and who potentially to be watching out for later in the year, because these teams that are, you know, first, second, or third in their conference right now, there might be three different teams next week. There could be three different teams, neither one of these three different teams, make it at the end of the year to potentially play for a conference title. It's just, let's, you know, catch up a little bit. Let's, you know, take a deep breath, we're about at the halfway point. You know, yeah, sure, some teams have only played five, and because of buys, they had their buy week three, week four, so on and so forth, but a majority of college football have played at least six games, so we'll do that at the end of the show, but let's go through, you know, this week six review show, let's go through all the games I told you guys to watch before starting with Friday. This was the fourth of, of course, October. This was an eight o'clock kickoff on FS1. This was the Syracuse, Orangeman, 3-in-1, heading to Las Vegas to play the 25th ranked UNLV, running Rebels, undefeated, you know, darlings of the college football world, as I've right there with Malik Williams, you know, with the Matthew Sluka thing going on, he stepped into those, you know, rain stepped into those boots, and led those, you know, UNLV running Rebels last week and just completely stomped on Fresno State. Yeah, Malik, college, Malik Williams, and here's your spotlight, and I did warn UNLV, going to this game, now that you have a number on your, you know, stat line, now that you're recognized as a top 25 team, you've got to prove it now, and it didn't work out for the UNLV running Rebels. They lose to Syracuse, 44 to 41. This was an over time win for the Syracuse, Orangeman, UNLV was favored by four, so they do not cover, you over under on this one, was 58 and a half, so it ended up being a way over. Barnburner to start the week, right? I know I checked in on this game periodically, I kind of got a little busy Friday night with some stuff, and I, you know, would periodically put it on or pay attention to it when I could. Just back and forth game, Syracuse looked great, and the player of the game for those Syracuse, Orangeman, might be a name that you might know, his name is Kyle McCord, quarterback. If he does ring a bell, it's because he used to play for the Ohio State Buckeyes. You see that a lot, I mean, what was it, Malik Douglas? I want to say for the Duke Blue Devils, I think his name is Malik Douglas, I could be wrong. The top of my head, sorry if it's wrong. You know, X Texas quarterback, you know, was kind of in the wings with, you know, Quinn Ewers and Archmending, and he just was like, man, I'm running out of years, and I'm not going to get in on snaps here, I'm going somewhere else. Same way with Kyle McCord. I don't mind that at all. You know, if you're the third or fourth quarterback and you happen to be a sophomore or junior, and they're starting freshman, you know, ahead of you, you know, you're not going to get snaps unless, you know, injuries happen, that's the possibility to transfer, I'm not mad at that. And you know, there's four quarterbacks on the ahead of you, and you're an upperclassman, man. I mean, it is what it is. You want to try to get some snaps somewhere anywhere. So, you know, he goes to Syracuse, has a good game. He throws about 63 times, though. He threw for 40 completions. It's not a bad completion percentage. He threw for 355 yards and three touchdowns. Just a good game. I mean, you know, a nice non-conference game. This was, I do believe Syracuse is in the ACC, I want to say, and then against, you know, I'm out in West Conference team. There was a couple of non-conference games that didn't quite go the way I thought they were going to go. But, you know, hey, Syracuse is a nice, respectable four and one, you know, through week six. And, you know, V, you know, this doesn't hurt them. Yes, of course it puts them on, you know, that number on the second part of the record to the right side, which is the bad side. But this isn't a conference loss. They're still up there in their Mountain West, you know, conference title admiration. Sure, it hurts them in the long run if they want to make it in the playoff, because you want to be ranked, you know, you want to be up in, you know, the 18s, the 25s in the rankings because it goes by highest, non-power four conference champion, highest ranked. So, right now, like I said, it's still be Boise State. There's still some more teams and there's still a whole 'nother six, seven weeks to go and things can change then too. Good game for Syracuse. They beat UNLV at Las Vegas, 44 to 41. It's getting to the Saturday slight, shall we? This one of course was at 11 the earliest time. Possible on ABC. It started the Magnus right here. Number nine, Missouri, 4-0. Go on the road down to Texas to play in Kylefield and play the A&M Aggies from Texas. They beat the Missouri Tigers, 41 to 10. Just a blow-out win. Texas A&M was favored by two and a half. I remember talking about it in the preview show. Kind of surprising to see it's off-10 team. Go on the road and they're not favored. Over and under on this one was 49 and a half, so it ends up being just a slight over. Yeah, I knew the jury has been out on Missouri, a struggling team, just barely squeaking by wins. And they said a preseason top 10 ranked team from the SEC and the Missouri Tigers that everybody was like, hey, watch out for them. If it's not gonna be Bama, if it's not gonna be Georgia, not gonna be Tennessee, it could be, you know? A message paid for by veterans for all voters. And sure enough, it happened. Good win for A&M puts them a five-in-one, a real sneaky five-in-one team. Of course, not the biggest fan of the A&M Aggies. I'm not a fan of any other Texas team, but mine and the Red Raiders. So I wanna see what they got going for. You know, definitely makes the SEC stronger when a team like A&M is doing great things. A&M was up 24 to zero at halftime. That just showed you right there. I mean, you're a preseason top 10 team. You scored zero points and a half. Yeah, granted it's a hard place to play. Get it, yada, yada, yada. But like I said, Missouri just not who we thought they were. Player of the game goes to the running back for A&M. Laveon Moss, he read them all 12 times for 138 yards and three touchdowns. Just, you know, pretty much beat 'em by himself. You know, good win for A&M. Kind of wanna see what they got going forward. No, they play the Texas Longhorns the week of Thanksgiving. I hope it's a Thursday night game. You know, instead of watching an NFL game on Thanksgiving, after you've already watched two or three of them, it'd be nice to have a, you know, palette cleansing rivalry game to watch, you know, with your family and it'd be Texas and Texas A&M. It'd be great, hope they do that, but I'm not real sure yet. Good win for A&M over, yeah, like I said, a suspect ninth ranked Missouri Tigers. This was another 11 AM kick. This one was on ESPN though. This had the SMU Mustangs four and one, heading to the 22nd ranked Louisville Cardinal who came in three and one. SMU gets that upset. You started feeling it. I know I started feeling it. I felt it Friday night. I started feeling it early Friday. That, you know, and if these games are on my slate that I tell you guys to watch, there's a reason why I want you to watch it. And that's exactly what happened. SMU gets the upset 34 to 27 over the ranked Louisville Cardinals 22nd ranked team in the country and puts SMU 2 and O in the ACC conference. Eliminates Louisville for now. This is still, you know, a Clemson slash Miami conference to win or lose right now. But if you asked me right now, who's playing better the last two or three weeks? The Miami Hurricanes or the SMU Mustangs? And the answer might surprise you, but it's the SMU Mustangs. They're hanging up points. They go to a tough place to play. Yes, I'll talk about the Hurricanes here in a little while, but you know, Clemson is just quietly doing their thing, man. Slowly, surely getting back into the brightness of the top 15, but it's got to be interesting. I want to see an SMU play a Florida. I want to see a SMU play a Clemson. If not, they don't, none of those three teams meet up at all, which could be a possibility. You know, with these super conferences now, with at least 16, you know, teams sometimes, you're not going to play everybody in your conference. You know, you have at least two or three, sometimes four non-conference games. That leaves the rest of those games to be conference games. So you have a chance to not play a couple of people a year. I mean, it is what it is, but good win for SMU. You don't have a player in game for you on this one. Louisville was favored by seven. Of course, they do not cover over under on this one. The 58 and a half ends up being a slight over. All right, let's get into the afternoon slates. 230 kick on CBS. This is a big 10 tilt Iowa. The hot guys coming in three and one, heading to Ohio to play the Buckeyes in the horseshoe. The third ranked Ohio State Buckeyes, by the way, 4-0. And here we go, you know, as the train starts to move in, not everybody got upset. As much as people would like to say, "Oh man, I'd love to see every single type 10 team lose." And when we, heck, it would be crazy. Don't get me wrong, it'd be great. But as Ohio Buckeyes, Ohio State Buckeyes said, "Nope, not us, not today." They beat Iowa. They beat the breaks off of them actually. 35 to seven, Ohio State was favored by 20 and a half. They covered over under on this one's 44 and a half. And it goes in under. They were right about this game. I was right about this game, preview wise at least, that Ohio State should be on, you know, a green flag, yellow flag, red flag, all pertaining to upset alert. I'll put this as a yellow. You know, this was a maybe style upset game that, you know, they should watch out. I was just one of those teams that they frustrate you. They take you out of your thing. And, you know, they see some of the best plays that you throw in those past couple of weeks. And they nullify them. They make you dig deeper into your repertoire of plays. And they will find ways to beat you. They'll make you beat yourself. But, Ohio State's a different team this year. I truly think they win 35 to seven. Like I said, Ohio State, 28 to seven outscored. The Iowa Buckeyes in the second half. Player of the game is a Mecha Oubuka. Definitely a guy who has not been getting a hill a whole lot of love lately. I kind of figured with Ohio State's dynamic, you know, two-headed running-back system in Trevio and Henderson and... A message paid for by veterans for all voters. The use of military rank and job titles does not imply endorsement by the Department of the Army or the Department of Defense of this ballot measure. Quinn shot Jutkins that they wouldn't have to throw the ball very often, but this is one of those games that Iowa said, okay, we're going to limit your great running backs. We're going to stack up the box a little bit and let's make you beat us with your arm well-houred and they tested him and of course Ohio State has just the better players and it is what it is. He caught nine balls for 71 yards, but he got three touchdowns. I think this is a guy, you know, he could throw his hat in there with a Garrett Wilson, you know, a Marvin Harrison Jr., you know, some of these great wide receivers that have come out of this franchise out of this program, that is the Ohio State Buckeyes and be drafted, you know, very, very high, you know, come April. He's, you know, he's been up there with Jackson Smith and Jigba as well. He's been there for a couple of years now. He just came back, you know, this year because he was just kind of in Marvin Harrison, Jr. Shadow, you know, he wanted to be the number one guy. Hasn't quite risen to that level yet, but I think this was his welcome to, you know, hey, potential, you know, draft stock look in this game with the Mick of the Buca. So, and I'm also doing that. You know, I'm looking at players left and right because I'm writing these, all this stuff down just because when it comes to draft time, I know who these people are. I've seen them play. Yeah, they might get drafted in the fifth round, but I'll still say, hey, at the end of that draft, I'll say, man, I love what the, you know, Baltimore Ravens did in their draft. They drafted this guy out of that school. I watched him play blank, any blank on week, something. And he looked like a Baltimore Ravens, you know, and I text Mike all the time. I'm always, you know, actually texted him the other night. Can't remember which game we were watching, but I just tells like, hey, man, you know, you have your eyes on anybody. Are you already thinking about stuff like that? He was like, oh yeah, of course, you know, and I told him who I was thinking about and who I've been watching and so on and so forth. And it's just fun to do, you know, with the function guys, I talked to Graham, you know, I talked to Howard and it's just great to talk with people who love football like I do. But like I said, good win for Ohio State. Kind of calmed the waters a little bit for Ohio State because once all those upsets start happening, it starts to be a trend, you know, it starts to go down. Those are some muddy waters out there. You should be an upset alert. So Ohio State shut the door on that one 35 to seven against Iowa. 230 kick on ESPN, this was Ole Miss, the running Rebels coming in, the 12th ranked team in the country four and one, heading to South Carolina to play the Game Cocks. Mississippi was favored by nine. They cover over under on this one's 52 and a half. 27 to three was the final score. Very, I put this on here just because of potential, just because South Carolina plays great at home. But I mostly put it on here because I wanted to see this Ole Miss, you know, running Rebels team. What they do after they face adversity, after they face their first loss of the year. Yeah, a head scratching year, but a head scratching loss, I should say to that Kentucky, sorry, Kentucky team, how do they play when they go on the road now? Got punched in the mouth? How do you respond? They respond great, 27 to three. They don't have a player of the game for you on this one because it was just a bunch of people did their job. If I had to give the player the game for anything on this game, I'd give it to Ole Miss as defense. Kentucky kind of made them look kind of sour the week before and South Carolina at home is great. So I'd give Ole Miss defense, the player of the game for sure. 27 to three Ole Miss beats South Carolina. This was a three o'clock kick on FS1. This was a big 10 battle. The Rutgers Knights coming in 4-0 undefeated. Going to Nebraska at Lincoln Field. They play the cornhuskers who come in 4-0 and 1. And the home team gets the small win 14-2-7. Nebraska was favored by 7. Ends up being a push over under on this one. It was 41-1/2 and ends up being way under. Talked about this in the preview show how you wanted old Smash Mouth football, some good defense, maybe running the ball 60, 75% of the time for both teams. And you got it. Like I said, this is another one of those games that I didn't see any stat lines that, you know, stood out to me. I wanted to see if Ken Rutgers go across, you know, maybe about halfway on the country to Nebraska. Put their undefeated record on the line against a team that plays very well at home. We've seen what Nebraska can do and it can be. And this was, you know, I show me part of the big 10 for those middle guys. You know, everybody knows who's at the top of the big 10. How about the middle guys? Those guys that still are trying to get together, you know, get it together and could possibly, you know, knock off a Penn State. You know, knock off a Michigan, knock off Ohio State or an Oregon or USC. So Nebraska goes to 5-1. Good win against Rutgers, 14-7. 315 kick on the SEC network. I'm so glad I threw in this game to be perfectly honest with you. I mean, the upset of the year. I mean, it seems like I say it every single week, upset of the year, upset of the year, upset of the year. And it's just, it is what it is. But I believe this was definitely going to be a game. It's going to be talked about for a very long time. This is the number one team in the country, the Alabama Crimson Tide. 4-0 heading to Nashville to play the Vanderbilt Commodore should come in two and two. Alabama was favored by 23 and a half. They do not cover over and under on this one was 55 and a half. It ends up being an over. Yeah, upset of the year, maybe of the century, for sure. 40 to 35, Vanderbilt gets to win. I know probably people were listening to, you know, that week six, you know, pre-V show I put out, you know, a couple of days ago. And I said Alabama should be on upset alert. And I was right, I wish I could have the balls to say that Vanderbilt was going to upset Alabama. I just wasn't that confident, but I was still confident enough to look at that game and feel it in my stomach going. Alabama put too much against, into Georgia. They emptied the tank against Georgia and Vanderbilt played the role of trap artists to a tee and threw everything at this Alabama team. Made Alabama tight, made Alabama go for it on fourth down. Make Alabama have to reach into their playbook. Make them reach within to see if they were really, truly the number one team in the country. Great win for Vandy. I mean, that is a, I mean, it's words can't express. To be perfectly honest with you, you know, probably a whole lot of babies were made that night. Saturday night, I saw they ripped down the goal post, you know, in Commodore Stadium, took it out, dropped it in the river. And then that's going to be a day that lives in infamy, you know, for, you know, the Alabama side. And of course, the Vanderbilt side. That's going to be, you know, people are going to talk to their kids, you know, and 10, 20 years about that Vanderbilt fans are. And, you know, I've been on the side of that upset, you know, when, you know, we beat number one Texas here in Lubbock, you know, back in 2008, you remember everything about that game. You remember everything that happened that day. It's not every day you, the number one team in the country comes to your house and you beat them. I'm sure there's a little difference in how they were unranked. I mean, we were ranked like the sixth or seventh, eighth best team in the country. Yeah, sure, it was an upset, but, you know, beating number one team in the country is just special. I mean, it really is. It chokes me up a little bit just to see how downtrodden, especially the Vanderbilt Commodore franchise has been, the program has been, been a walking mat on the SEC. You saw Vanderbilt on your schedule. You go, whew, that's a win. You know, I mean, I hate to say it, but that was, that was the God on truth. That was a team that finished damn near dead last every single year in the SEC conference. And if one team needed a win any worse than that, I'd show me a picture and it's, I wouldn't agree with you. It was definitely a Vanderbilt Commodore's, man. Great win player of the game. Got two of them, Cedric, Alexander, the running back, scored two rushing touchdowns. But this is all about Diego Pivea, the quarterback of the Commodore. She goes 16 of 20, 252 yards and throws for two touchdowns and zero interceptions. You could just tell they felt it. I mean, I didn't, I don't have SEC network so I couldn't even watch it, but sure as hell. On every channel I was watching, it was always a game, you know, break. They were peeking in on that game, showing eight, and it builds up by seven, and then it builds up by 10. Oh, Bama's coming back and they would just show all these crazy plays and you could just tell Vanderbilt wasn't scared. And I love that about college football, man. Like I said, the little guy can beat the big guy any day. So good win for Vanderbilt, 40 to 35 over Big Bad Alabama, the number one team in the country. This is a six o'clock kick on ESPNU. This was a son belt tilt. This had the JMU dukes, by the way, sorry, I called in JMU Mustangs. I was thinking SMU, sorry. This was the dukes of JMU coming in for now. Out of the East, going to Louisiana Monroe, three and one out of the West. You know, I talked about this game being a potential son belt championship. You know, round one, I see potentially these two teams playing yet again at the end of the year. And the West gets the win over the East 21 to 19. Louisiana Monroe beats JMU. This is when JMU finally comes back to earth. You know, this is a team that's just been racking up yards like Las Vegas slot machines, man. You know, hanging 70 on North Carolina. I think they beat somebody 63 to something the week after. It showed you, Louisiana Monroe said, hey, you ain't doing that against us. And then that very much worries me and the SMU still, my team, could they still do it? Absolutely. A message paid for by veterans for all voters. Of course, they do not cover over under on this one, was 48 and a half, so it ends up being in under. Just scary, man, I mean, it really was. It is what it is though, man. Good game. I guess a non-player of the game I have wrote here, the quarterback for JMU, Alonza Barnett III. I told you who to, you know, this is a guy that was on the list, you know, a couple of weeks ago, but hey, this guy keeps putting up numbers. JMU keeps winning. This could be a guy, you know, to talk about in the draft. Maybe get an award at the end of the year and why not the Heisman? He goes 20 for 47, 251 yards, but doesn't throw any touchdowns. You know, that's how you beat him. It's how you beat the JMU dukes right there, play good defense. This is a team that scored 133 points the past two weeks prior. Like I said, they just didn't bring your A game. The JMU dukes didn't, I just said, so that shows me that Louisa Monroe watched some tape, learned a lot and have a really good defense, so good win for the Louisa Monroe Falcons, I want to say. I think they're a bird. Red Hawk, something like that. I have no idea, but good win for Louisa Monroe. JMU, hope you bounce back. 6.30 kick on NBC. This was the national championship. 2.0, the 10th ranked Michigan ball of Marines, four in one. Go to U-Dub to play the Washington high skis coming in three and two. This is another upset right here. Washington gets the upset, 27 to 17. U-Dub was favored by three. They cover over under on this one, it's 40 and a half, so it ends up being an over. Will Rogers gets the player of the game, the quarterback for Washington? This is a guy I talked about in my Heisman Show. If Washington wanted to go somewhere in that big team conference, that he was going to have to be the one to take him there. This is a guy that is an ex-Mississippi state quarterback. I think actuality, Mike Leach, recruited him to go to Mississippi State two, three, four years ago. And I knew that was a guy that could sling it. If anybody knew quarterbacks, it was Mike Leach. 21 to 31, 271 and two touchdowns. They always scored 27 points, but we'll take those two touchdowns off that Will Rogers throws, and that's a win for Michigan. Talked about Michigan, I've talked about 'em all year. Yes, great win against USC. A thumping at the hand of Texas, but those other games mixed in between there, they're a winning. But Michigan just has a problem, and it's their quarterbacks. They go with Orgy, they try Donovan, they've tried all these different variations of quarterbacks, and I said it before. I said, you have more than one quarterback, you have zero quarterbacks. This is not the same Michigan team as last year. A lot of people will say, oh man, Michigan, they won the national championship this year, they should be good. That's not the truth. I think this is a team that brought, only brought back single digit starters on both sides of the ball. I mean, that is hard, new coach. That bullseye on your back. And not being that impressive, with their actual wins. It just shows me, Michigan wasn't scary. I said it before. I said it pre-season, I said it during the year. Yeah, they got some good wins and all, but they were gonna be few and far between. So good. And of course, Washington had the revenge factor going on their side. They're playing at home. Very hard place to play in Husky Stadium. Good win though. Yeah, but when Michigan's gotta reach down, real deep, real soon. And they need to figure themselves out first. Absolutely. Good win for Washington, 2017. 645 kick on SEC Network. This is another non-conference game. This was UCF. The Knights going three and one out of the big 12, heading to the swamp to play the Florida Gators out of the SEC. SEC gets yet again, another win over the big 12. 24 to 13. UCF was favored by one. They do not cover over under on that one with 61 and a half. So it ends up being in under. Billy Napier saves his job. Forget it again, another one more week. Great defensive play for Florida. Holding a UCF team that potentially could score a lot of points in their home. I mean, UCF got humbled last week by a Colorado team and UCF's offense was just kind of nullified. And they go in week, second week in a row, Florida does the exact same thing to them. Is it a UCF problem or is it a Florida team that's got their back against the wall knowing? Every time they lose, they're gonna fire their coach. It's a shitty situation in college football, man. It really, really is. You know, this is a Florida team that has the hardest schedule in all of college football going into 2024. And it didn't stop. It seems like every week they're playing a potentially good team. And UCF was one of them, but good win. Florida doesn't score any second half points. I mean, they just shut the door on them, man. They just shut the door on them and just held down UCF. Did what they had to do. Like I said, good win for Florida, 24 to 13. Seven o'clock kick on the ACC network. This was the Duke Blue Devils coming in 5-0. Heading to Georgia Tech to play the three into yellow jackets. Yet again, another upset, not a ranked upset, but I put it on the upset meter as well. I put it on the upset count because the undefeated team loses to the team of two losses. That is Georgia Tech, 24 to 14. Good win, Georgia Tech was favored by seven and a half. So they cover over under on this one, 53 and a half. So it ends up being in other unders, sorry. Georgia Tech scores 14, fourth quarter point, seeing how they only win by 10. That is a huge swing. Player of the game, goes to the running back for these yellow jackets, Jamal Haines, runs of all 19 times, for 128 yards, averages that to 6.7 yards per rush. You know, if you're getting talked about, if you're getting put on the college football function, if you're getting brought up on college football shows, if you are five and oh, you're undefeated, you're in a power for conference. Guess what? You're going to start getting talked about, you're not sneaking up on anybody anymore. This just shows you that you're five and oh, you walked into a tougher team, a team just got two losses and you lose by 10. You lose by double digits. It's hard, college football is hard. I mean, it really, truly is. Yes, there is a lot of participants, but if you think you're undefeated and you're walking into a place and that those people don't know who you are, you're at your mother-loving mind, man. It's a good win for Georgia Tech, 24 to 14. This was a 9.30 kick on ESPN. Here we go, the eighth ranked Miami Florida Hurricanes, 5-0 take a road trip across country to Berkeley, to play California Bears who come in three and one, very close win for Miami 39 to 38 all because of Miami's 21, fourth quarter points. Miami was favored by 12 and a half. They do not cover. Over under on this one was 55 and a half, ends up being in over. This is where game day was. It's pretty crazy to see. I watched a little bit of it this morning, or Saturday morning, and you know, Cal was going crazy. I don't know if they've ever been there or if they have them been there in a while. You know, one of the two, it's crazy to watch college game day go into places like that. And they picked a good game to go to. They really, really did. They got real hype for this game. They had proud out much on Lynch. It was crazy. My Heisman Dark Horse, you know, my guy that I went with before the season is game award, 35. He goes 35 for 53, 4.37 and two touchdowns. I mean, that's pretty good little stat line. You know, this team goes by him, period. One of my favorite players in the game plays for these Miami Florida Hurricanes. I think it goes by the name of Xavier Restrepo. He got seven balls for 163 yards. This guy is amazing. I loved him last year. He just needs a quarterback that's competent. I mean, he really does. Restrepo, you're hearing it now. If he's not drafted at the first round of the draft come April, these people don't know what the hell they're doing. I'm almost positive. He is an upperclassman. He's probably at least a junior. So if Ken Ward goes out, you know, goes to the draft, definitely the Restrepo will do the same. And that's a guy that you were one on here on your team, and great size, great hands. He is one of my favorite receivers in the game right now. Good win for Miami 39 to 38. This was the last game I gave you guys to watch. This was a 10 o'clock kickoff on Fox. This was that Texas Tech Red Raiders, four and one, heading to Tucson to play the Arizona Wildcats who come in three and one. And again, another upset happens right here. The Texas Tech Red Raiders get the upset when 28 to 22 over the Arizona Wildcats. Arizona was favored by five and a half. They do not cover over under on this one with 62 and a half ends up being an under. You know, I've talked about this. This is, you know, if it gets talked about on college football shows and then on game day, I talk about it as well. And it just so happens, it includes my team. Yeah, it sucked. Staying up that late, I did take a nap. You know, I think it was that little afternoon window between after Vanderbilt won. I took a little hour, hour and a half to our nap. It's because I knew about 10 o'clock rolled around and I was like, oof, I was gonna be ready. You know, church in the morning on Sunday. So it's like, so I actually took a nap, woke up. You know, started getting ready, catch up up on scores and stuff like that. And then, you know, took a shower. You know, and then started popping tops, man, 'cause I was getting ready for this tech game. And like I said, we got a good win. Like I said, we were not favored. The Wildcats get the, they were favored. A couple of players of the game. Caleb Douglas, five catches for 116 yards. I put him on there because he's not our number one receiver. He's not our number two receiver. He's our number three receiver. It goes, Josh Kelly, a guy that's in the top 10 in the nation in receiving yards. Coy Eekin is another guy. He's doing his thing for us as well. Caleb Douglas came out and said, you know, you guys are gonna get bracketed, you know, a little double coverage here and there. And you guys, and he showed up when this guy didn't. Taj Brooks, they're running back for Texas Tech. 21 rushes for 128 yards. Three touchdowns put in a star with two stars around it. He fumbled twice and just shows how important he is to our offense, to our team, to this cog that is the Texas Tech Red Raiders. You know, he fumbled, you know, we didn't let it get to us. We didn't change our game plan. We went back to him still and he fumbled again. And we just said, hey, and he didn't fall. He actually got better after he fumbled a second time. He knew, hey, I can't do it one more time. I'm going to the bench. And he ran harder. You could just tell, and our offense works so good with guys like Taj Brooks and Josh Kelly, Caleb Douglas. Coy Eekin are super tall tight ends. I'm starting to drink the Kool-Aid. I really am from my Texas Tech team, and I really am. They show me so much every single week. They get better every single week. And they're not, you could see like little problems here and there every week, but we fix it. And then you have a guy like Aaron Morton, our quarterback who has a good game and then he kind of has a regression game. But he relies on his other players, you know, to get us going. And our defense was outrageous. I know if a feeder to Taran McMillan, one of the best one, two punches in all the college football, you can ask anybody, a team that just knocked off Utah last week, a top 10 ranked Utah. Had to go to their house. I was very scared about this game. I really was being up late. You know, this game was almost like two o'clock whenever it was over. So a good win for my boys, 28 to 22. Let's get through these extra bonus games. I got another upset for you guys. The Houston Cougars go to Fort Worth, beat the Horn Frogs 30 to 19. This was a TCU team. I expected a whole lot more this season. I figured, you know, last year, was just kind of an enigma, you know, after, you know, a national championship beat down from Georgia two years ago, that, you know, hey, we just got outclassed. You know, it is what it is, but Houston was at the bottom of the barrel with a big 12 and they walk into, you know, Fort Worth and beat the TCU Horn Frogs 30 to 19. Very head scratching loss. Five and oh, a pit panthers beat the North Carolina Tar Hills 34 to 24. It's starting to unravel for North Carolina. Yeah, it's, he's losing that team. Pittsburgh is good, but North Carolina is, I want to say they're two and three. Maybe even three and three out there on the year right now. It's definitely not the year Matt Brown wanted. So be on the wary on the lookout for that, of course, on the headlines. The army, what is it, the Rangers? And then the Navy midshipmen are both five and oh, you know, they were both four in our last week and I did highlight that. This is the first time since 1945 that both military academies are undefeated. I hope they continue to be undefeated because I'd love to see two 11 and oh teams and army and Navy go up against each other and the army Navy showdown at the end of the year. All right, we got Michigan State losing to Oregon 31 to 10. I put this on here just because Oregon, I haven't seen enough from them yet. I think Dylan Gabriel's overrated. Oh, yeah, that was the game I was texting Mike about. The Oregon Ducks and Michigan State. He's just for a guy that has been playing football for as long as he has being an upperclassman. He sure does make stupid mistakes. And I'm calling it now. You know, he's going to be talked about in the draft process come April and he might get drafted early, but I'm gonna take a back seat right now for him. I'm not waving his flag right now. I think this is a guy that's very overrated. A message paid for by veterans for all voters. Listen to this message from Ted Delacath, former Army infantryman and Ranger qualified platoon leader active in the Army reserves. When I enlist in the Army, I swore an oath to this country, not any political party. That's why I'm interested in citizens ballot measures around the country to reduce the power of political parties. Colorado votes on one too. Right now, election rules allow political insiders to hand pick party nominees. Get the facts, elections belong to the voters, not political parties. Paid for by veterans for all voters, Anthony Haas registered agent. The use of military rank and job titles does not implant endorsement by the Department of the Army or the Department of Defense of this ballot measure. Auburn and Georgia. Georgia bounces back 31 to 13 against Auburn, the fifth ranked team in the country. Had a phone that was gonna happen. That's why I didn't wanna put this, that game on the preview show, 'cause I know you, GA. The Georgia Bulldogs are bounced back. West Virginia walks into Stillwater and beats the Oklahoma State Cowboys 38 to 14. That's the West Virginia team I was talking about in preseason. That was a team in the mid 12. I figured if they started to play right, they could potentially start knocking off teams, left and right, stacking up wins. West Virginia gets that win against Oklahoma State and Oklahoma State. I'm gonna safely say it now, does not play for the conference title in December. The Indiana hugers, the 23rd ranked team in the country, go to six and O, beat the Northwestern Wildcats, 41 to 24. Definitely a team that got to see him play somebody first before I can start, you know, tooting your horn and waving your banner in Indiana. You're in the big 10, but you still, if you've beaten UFC or Michigan or Penn State or Ohio State, then sure I will talk about you. But until you do, I'm only gonna give you just this much love. All right, moving on. Oh, another upset, the 11th ranked team in the country. UFC Trojans go into Minnesota and get beat by the Gophers 24 to 17, yet again, another upset, especially a top 25 team, losing to the Minnesota Gophers 24 to 17, sorry. Last game, this is another upset, the fourth ranked team in the country, the Tennessee Volunteers, go into Fayetteville to play a tough Arkansas team and lose 19 to 14 by the hands of the Razorbacks. Tennessee did not look good. Arkansas flustered them. Tennessee's the better team on paper, better coach, but some of those SSC environments, man, sometimes at home, field advantage, get you a couple of points in there, then Tennessee looked flustered. Tennessee never looked comfortable. And once those, that score is really tight and you're supposed to beat a team by 18, 24 points, you start getting a little tight and Niko, I, I, I, I, I, I have that sophomore sensation. For Tennessee, you just started to show a little bit of holes in his game, not bashing him at all, but good win for Arkansas. Good win for Sam Pittman, definitely a guy that I talked about in the preseason on how if the Arkansas Razorbacks don't, you know, do very good this year that he could potentially be finding any job. All right, last part of the show, like I promised, we're going to go through all these conferences. I'm going to tell you who is up at the top. We're going to start in the AAC. We're going to start, you know, alphabetically, that is the American athletic conference. Sorry, it is Army and Navy at the top. And in a close second is Tulane, the Green Wave got a big win week six as well. Don't count them out yet, but Army and Navy are leading that conference right now. And of course, they don't play towards the end of the year. So that would be interesting. The ACC, we got Clemson and Miami at the top. And actually they're tied, I do believe. But right behind them is the SMU Mustangs. I've been talking about that for a couple weeks now that can't wait till two out of those three teams play each other. And we can really start seeing the cream rise to the ACC top. The Big 12 has my Texas Tech Red Raiders at number one at 3 and 0, the BYU Cougars at 2 and 0, and Iowa State at 2 and 0 in the conference. Definitely, if you asked anybody about the Big 12 preseason, you'd say, at the halfway point, give me three teams that could be in the top three positions in the conference. You would probably hear a Utah. You would probably hear a K state, an Oklahoma state, maybe even in Arizona. But you would definitely not hear Texas Tech, BYU, and Iowa State. So good, good start to the season for all three programs. Big 10, we got Indiana at the top, and of course Oregon, Oregon State, and Penn State all locked up in those positions. Anybody can win that conference. Conference USA, we have Sam Houston at the top, and then we have Liberty. This is a, you know, of course, I predicted Liberty to win the Conference USA. But Sam Houston State is looking really good. Those Bearcats, so I want to see if they play Liberty at any given time. The Mac, we got Eastern Michigan at the top. We got Toledo, Buffalo, Central Michigan, and Western Michigan. It looks like Michigan has a great shot at winning the Mac with Eastern Central and Western Michigan in the top five, and they're all kind of top five, because their records are all the same. Let's see here, the Mountain West Conference. We got the San Jose State Spartans at the top with UNLV and Boise State, all right there within striking distance. SEC, we have the A&M Aggies at the top. The Texas A&M or Texas Longhorns right behind them, sorry, and the LSU Tigers right behind them. Who would have guessed that one, right? And the last, but not least, the Sun Belt Conference. We have Coastal Carolina, the Chanticleers. We got Georgia, Southern, and Marshall. So gotta see what those teams look like in the next six, seven weeks. Like I said, I wanted to do this because I technically think it's the halfway point. After week seven, there's going to be teams that possibly played seven or eight games. You know, you got to throw in week zero in there as well. Most teams have played at least six games, so it is the halfway point. A message paid for by veterans for all voters. Listen to this message from Ted Delacath, former Army Infantryman and Ranger qualified platoon leader active in the Army Reserves. The use of military rank and job titles does not implant endorsement by the Department of the Army or the Department of Defense of this ballot measure? Definitely start doing it. I'll probably do that again, probably after week nine. Week 10 or so, and that'll be the three quarter mark. That'll be going into the fourth quarter of college football season and then right before you know it, it'll be conference season time. So it's getting hot and heavy, man. I mean, upsets happen every single week. It's going to be freaking amazing. I love this game. I love doing this homework guy. It's just it's overwhelming at times. You know, bish asked Mike, 20 men and Claire as well. They only get a couple of games across the pond, like three to be exact. And that would just be my hill if I could only watch three college football games on a Saturday. I mean, I didn't give a time on two TVs. I could be watching eight games. And that is in one window. And that's the 11 AM window or that's the 230 window. That's a 630 window. I mean, it's and I love it. I wouldn't ask for to do anything more, man. It's so much fun and I always keep up with things, write things down left and right. And it's so awesome, man, especially week like week six that I previewed that wasn't, you know, up there with some of the best weeks in college football, you know, on paper wise. But it's it still didn't leave you disappointed. I mean, college football is beautiful and chaotic. And it's it's organized chaos is the best way to describe college football. And it's not for everybody. I get it if you're an NFL fan. You want to watch the biggest and the best. You don't watch the how it's supposed to be played. Absolutely, I ain't going to knock you for it. But, you know, turn that dial down just a little bit. Turn down the expectation just a little bit and watch just appear insanity that college football brings to the table. That is that is football in general. I mean, it really is it's organized chaos. In any given week, a Vanderbilt can beat an Alabama man. And you just saw it's it's literally been shown. So you guys, that was my week six review show. I'm going to give you a long kiss tonight. I will say though, I'm digging into the week seven already. There are some good, good games. We got robbery games. We got the Red River rivalry. Of course, that is Oklahoma versus Texas. That's going to be, you know, two ranked teams playing against each other and the state fair down there in Dallas in the Cotton Bowl, one of the best rivalry games period for that Golden Hat. We got a ranked Ole Miss team going to Death Valley to play the LSU Tigers. We got K-State, a ranked team going to Colorado and Boulder to play the Buffalo's two teams up there trying to contend in the big 12. And then the biggest game of the week, we got Ohio State taking a cross country trip to Oregon to play the Ducks. It's going to be a dandy of a game, cannot wait. And that's just the highlighted games. I was just swiping. I hadn't really dug that much into it just yet. But those are going to be the highlighted games. And all four of those games are better than most of these games were week six. So cannot wait for week seven. You guys take in this week six, get ready for week seven. Preview show, I'll put that out in a few short days. You guys take care of Bisharas, all the countries out there. You talk too much, and you don't know shit about college football. Either way, man, it would make my day because, you know, like Cat William said, baby, you can't have, you know, haters and do what you need to do. Sorry about that, I had to pause real quick, 'cause my stupid neighbor don't know how to turn their fucking alarm off before they get in the fucking car. I mean, it's not hard, you hit the fuck. You hit the unlock button, and guess what? Right when you do that, it doesn't make the noise, it doesn't go off. I've been telling them, but then I'm speaking in English. Sorry, I don't mean to vent to you guys, my bad, but you guys take care. Big shout-out to all the family and family members out there, and that is the football function family, first and foremost, Mike Ritter and Terry Minifield. I know I got a new listener in her, and she's super excited about college football, 'cause I do it for girls like Claire, and I do it for anybody else out there that may not be the biggest college football fan or even football fan, but I feel if you are educated about things, and I tell you what to watch for and who to watch out for, interesting matchups, maybe you'll watch it just a little bit more. So you guys take care, and big shout-out to all my family out there. Seanal, Big Sean's more, I mean, my dude, big cowboy's fan, and Andy Lefan, him, Biggest shout-out to him as well. Kevin Watson, Big John, Detroit Kyle, DJ fucking Kuzmo, all you guys of a Sesca bar. I appreciate you guys so much, and if you say, "Hey, I want to get shouted out," "Hey, do what you need to do." Get out there, promote, get out on our social medias, like our post, comment on our post. If you want to get shouted out, that's the best way to do it.
