"This is AP News. I'm Rita Folle. Help for starving people in Gaza." An aid ship loaded with some 200 tons of food has set sail from Cyprus to Gaza. The food is being gathered by World Food Kitchen, the charity founded by Celebrity Chef Jose Andres. And it's been carried on a barge attached to a ship belonging to the Spanish A Group Open Arms. It's expected to arrive at an undisclosed location on the Gaza coastline in a few days. The shipments have tested for the opening of a sea corridor to supply aid to the territory, where starvation is spreading. I'm Charles, The Ladessma. Now to Haiti, racked by gang violence. An investigation is underway in a deadly school bus crash yesterday in Illinois. Authorities say three school children and their bus driver were killed, along with a semi-truck driver when the school bus crossed over the center line on Route 24, west of Springfield. Both dogs, a two-year-old male named Bog and a four-year-old male named George, collapsed. They were on separate teams. Further tests will be done to determine why they died. Their mushers, Isaac Tiford and Hunter Keefe both voluntarily quit the race. The last dog to die during the 1,000 mile race was in 2019. People for the ethical treatment of animals has been a long critic of the Iditarod and is calling for the race to end. Senior Vice President Colleen O'Brien says dogs are forced to run until their bodies break down. Also, the human winner can get a trophy while the dogs get an icy grave.
