Hell of an ep for you this week as we take on a Fincher classic 'Fight Club'

Warning in advance we get a little deep here as we discuss themes of identity, masculinity. We talk through whether the film was a warning about late stage capitalism or perhaps just holding a mirror up to the state of the male ego when it was created. We look into how Fincher creates the twists and turns of the film and whether Marla has a secret deeper meaning that we had never really considered before!

This is really Brad Pitt at the peak of his powers right?! I mean look at the cut of him. Absolutely incredibly well put together and just a wonderful performance as well. Rivalling him for the MVP Ed Norton with an exquisite turn as the narrator, Helena Bonham Carter as Marla - and some huge assists from Meatloaf and Jared Leto. Let us know what you made of Fight Club and whether we nailed the key talking points.

Bring Your Own Blockbuster isn’t just a film review podcast, we try our best each week to dive deep into the themes and discussions that make cinema so special - and we’d love to hear your feedback on the film. What did meet it mean to you? What did we miss? Get involved and tell us what you think on social media, you can find us everywhere at @byobpod
