Life is like a box of chocolates... you never know which one you're gonna get. If you're someone that listens to podcasts whilst having a job - have we got a film for you!! Time for another iconic BYOB movie as our dynamic duo take on an absolute classic: Forrest Gump.

Tom Hanks gets his first nod on the pod as we dive into a character that he won his second Oscar for. First it's important to start with whether this is an uplifting film or not. If you were listening to last weeks episode you will have heard Ben saying that it was time for something light... but if you watched the film back this week you'll no doubt have picked up in the first half an hour of the film that it's not always rainbows and butterflies.

Then there's the character of Jenny. Is she too afraid to love? Does she know how to love? Is Jenny as a character one that is as bad as mainstream culture has led us to believe over the course of some 30 years. The lads do a deep dive into Jenny's background and a couple of easter eggs that they only found this time around.

There's a big shoot out for the role of MVP, a controversial popcorn rating and we'll also get into the fine wine or war crime chat as ever, with a particular emphasis on whether the character of Forrest Gump is self aware enough for the audience to laugh with him - or whether the film encourages us to laugh at him.
