That's him, he's there. Dom is there walking, getting his steps in right now. And so. - Yeah, we don't have a lot of street lamps out here, which is nice, 'cause it's peaceful, but. - Do you feel safe? - Yeah, I'm just around the neighborhood, it's okay. I had one, I got an aunt, I checked out. I won't say what it is, but I might have something that's going up here behind my head. I think that'll be good. But we'll see, I don't know, I don't know what, I don't know. - Some gnome art. - Some gnome art. I was definitely looking to find some gnome art recently, so. - Custom draw, custom draw on portrait of yourself from Mr. Blaze. - You know what I have here? - I have, I actually have a custom art piece that I'm not actually allowed to show on anything social, which is pretty amazing. I think it was something, I think it was something that was given to Barry, and he wasn't able to keep it in his office, and then there's so many hands that got down to me. And so, it's an amazing thing, and I'm so incredibly grateful that I have it here. So I get to look at it all day, and actually Barry's big face is staring at me every single moment that I'm sitting here. So, kind of weird. Guys, why do I have three screens? I have three guests that are all dark right now. Are you guys allowed to jump up and scare me? - I mean, here, here, we are. - You're trying to make me feel better. - All right. - About my lighting choices. - I might need one of Nate's lamps, that might be a good idea. We got Teen Green being, we got Teen Green over here. If you see, I'm gonna switch it up. I'm gonna go touch him. Teen Green is right here, just hanging out. Now, what we really could do, if no one knows about my daily dad walking challenge, we have so many things that we can actually play with over here, which is definitely fun, because if we need to go Teen Gray, we can go Teen Gray. But right now, we got Teen Green in there. It's that's cool. I'll leave it. - Yeah, I was playing around in the background. - Sorry. - Go ahead, buddy. - I keep trying to add the points from last week. It is a lot of work. - You got to do it daily, my guy. - There's lots of things I want to do daily. - I feel like we need to find a way to make that a little bit easier on you, in terms of people just doing their own points. But again, as I said the other day, everyone's doing a really great job with it, and it does feel like a little bit of who's line is it anyway, because everyone's like, you know what, play doesn't put the points up yet, but we're all still really motivated to keep going. - Yep, for sure. - Well, I think even daily competition, whoa. - Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. - It's someone. - What, oh. Daily competition, oh my gosh, it's so hot, man. Yoga in the house. The daily competition with people, and like seeing like Robbie and you, and Josh, and Dom, like pounding it out, it's like, I need to hit the pavement. - What's the orange theory today? - Yeah. - 12,000 steps. There you go. - Hey, nice, bud. - Thanks, man. How is it with, what is it, what is your daily, like, what are those daily habits? Is it like a walk in the morning, walk in the evening kind of thing, or is it, are you getting steps in other ways? - It really just depends on the day, 'cause my life is so irregular. So like at lacrosse practice the other day, I was trying to really make it be, have an intention of like, if they're playing lacrosse, I'm just gonna walk up in that field. So like, I probably made a lot of parents uncomfortable while walking around in my bunch, but I was moving, I think I'm ready. It was looking good at that. I was walking 'cause it was like, I sit at a desk all day and I gotta get my steps in, okay? So I was ready for that, no one asked. - If you guys, yeah, no, I, you know what? It's, I think we gotta get a move. We have something that one of our community members, we all know him very well. We're gonna be poppin' on around 12 p.m. Eastern today, talkin' a little bit more, stop movin' around, stop movin' around, let's get it. With, we're poppin' on around 12, 12 Eastern, just with another idea about how to make sure that we're keeping these steps going. So if you guys see us pop up a little bit later, and you'll see who it is, I think it'll be a fun thing. We're just tryin' out somethin' new. So it'll be there with us. Jason, you there? What's goin' on? There he is. - I am here. I'm also in Pacific time, and it's really dark. I'm in Arizona. Is that Pacific time? - Oh, yeah. Do you wanna go see Dom? - No, he has to go see Brofett. - No, I'm gonna go see Brofett. - You gotta see what he broke it. - I'm tryin' to find some light here. There's like nothing being picked up. But I can hear you guys, and I can see you guys, but you can't see me. - Okay. Well, this is what we need. We need you to describe the state of your hair right now. - The personality of my hair is seven hours of sleep, which is good. That is a good thing. - Is that high hair, low hair, pretty good? - It's really high. It's got kind of like a nice, like 1960s, be high of a little bit to it. I think it's 'cause of the way I sleep. So I'll see if I can keep that going today. If you can imagine that. - This is ridiculous. Everyone's in the dark. This is what I like. - Ryan's surrounded by the darkness. - I'm so lonely. Is anyone out there? All right, anyway, guys, let's jump in here. Let's jump in with some gratitude. I know we got some already in here in the chat. We got David on this side. If no one knows if you're jumping in for the first time, we got the couch over here. It's not the chat, it's the couch. 'Cause we're all sitting down. We're all talking with each other. It's all good to stay casual and all this. But David, grateful for all home dads because I understand his room. We're all home dads. What's, is that like work from home dads? Is that what it is? 'Cause it's him, who's he? We have it, I would call. I would call out, please. I don't know if I'm sorry. All right, we'll talk to you on over here. But Craig, oh, David, I have your episode ready to post. We're gonna post it later this afternoon. So it's gonna be up. So check that out. A great interview with Blaze and David. If you guys still wanna also know, we started off a lot of what we've been doing on just interviews, podcasting, getting to know a lot of the dads in our community. And so we got a great one coming up with David. It's like well overdue, but it's, we've had to go through a couple transitions with a few software glitches and stuff like that. We finally got it done. So it's all good. So it's gonna, Craig over here, grateful for, we saw us already grateful for strong resilience, children who delivered three amazing intention tributes to their mom today at her funeral. Oh, man, Craig, I hope that the funeral today was definitely something that was good. I don't know, it closures the right word. What's the family feel like they were able to really come together and celebrate life and everything there. I know it really was, please, please share. Let us know how things went for you guys. And if no one knows, Craig, I always define as the man who makes me excited to be a grandfather. Because it always makes it look so easy and so enjoyable. So we got that. But good morning to everyone. And we go, Craig, it's an amazing celebration of her life. That's great, man. I'm so glad you guys are able to be together for that. We'll definitely have a conversation about that at some point soon, just a little bit deeper. But you know, first of all, first of all, also, we started StreamYard specifically one because Dom guilted me into going to StreamYard a number of times, I finally had to do it. But Dom felt so driven to make sure that we had a space that was going to be able to get our Australian contingent, Craig and Nate up here without any technical difficulties. So we basically are here on StreamYard, which you guys are seeing us on Twitter and Twitch and also Instagram and YouTube, we're all over the place. But we're right now on a certain software that's been making the switch just for the Australian people. So it's been good. But guys, can you grab it to John? Can I grab it to you over there? - Yeah, we had Craig up one time. It went pretty smooth. - I was here. - But Craig's been going through a lot of stuff right now. So we'll get him up here soon, we will. I found a bench to sit at, so we got some lighting now. And there's the silhouette of Jason's hair. Look at that. That is a picture right there. I'm grateful for that. My gratitude this morning was for my wife, came home yesterday pretty late and she just had it, like she's got everything dialed in when I'm not around. So all the kids were in my cell door. - Their bed, I said hi to everybody, had some conversations with my girls and we were all in bed by like 8.30. It was nice. - It's awesome. - Jason, what do you have over there? Why are you in Arizona? - Well, he's having my problem with it. - He's having some technical difficulties. - His phone can't handle the beat. - I'm excited for Blaze's gratitude. Can I tell you why? 'Cause Blaze always has these deep thoughts coming out of yoga. And we know that he had yoga this morning 'cause he was overeating and he mentioned he's a yoga. - Blaze, you are on mute so whenever you're ready, let's get some amazing gratitude. - I was gonna take it one direction, but you hired me to take it a different direction. So I would just take it like, but at the end of yoga, I am just like sweating. Like I can't stay on my mat 'cause it's so sweating and I need to clean it and everything. But the one yoga instructor, she calls it the magic carpet 'cause you never know where it's gonna take you. And so I just, I'm amazing. I'm so much gratitude for like, what our bodies can do in our minds and just like a closed space. Like we're all sitting in a closed space, but we're able to connect through our phones. So just a lot of gratitude for all the things that we can do, but also big whatnot show tomorrow for all the Veeprints community. So it's a lot of first timers or people that have smaller followings. So anytime you're aboard tomorrow at 9 a.m. E-S-T, 30 PM tomorrow. There's gonna be a new seller every 30 minutes from the Veeprints community. And I'm gonna drop it here first. I actually don't want anyone to comment. I'm gonna tell you why. That's why I'm calling it the Don't Tell Gary Vee Proxil. I'm going live at 9 a.m. If I get 100 people in there, I'm gonna give away a quick flex box, like a whole box. So I hope people don't go 'cause I don't wanna give away a box. But if people show up and get up that early, they show you got to work. - I think we're excited for you. Blaze has put a lot of work into this. He coordinated with a bunch of people and I think that's really been amazing. And I would say it for it. I don't know if I'm gonna be able to see every single streamer tomorrow, but it will be quieter. Blaze is the connector. If no one knows this, Blaze definitely gets people connected really easily. It just makes it look so easy. So, love that. Jason, why are you in Arizona? - This is a very, very applicable weekend. I'm in Arizona with seven of my high school guy friends. We meet once a year, somewhere, and it's usually golf. Like we go to like a nice place and play golf you and everybody's terrible at it. But this year is a focus on men's health and men's wellbeing. So, instead of golf, we have a brain surgeon, part of our group. We have a yoga specialist. We have a, and we're all everybody's dads, except for one. But I think it's a good time for everybody to meet. I think everybody's kind of going through their own thing right now. So, this is a really good outlet for us to kind of talk. We all got here yesterday. So, last night was really good. Catch up with what's been going on and just things that are going on our lives. So, it's been good. I'm looking forward to this time. And we're in Arizona. Sedona, Sedona is gorgeous. We gotta come back here. - That's awesome. Wait, how far is, how far is Phoenix? - I don't know how far Phoenix is, but I'm going to bring up this community to these guys, I think they all enjoy it. In fact, we've got two of them here right now. We'll see what they're doing. Everybody's kind of starting to wake up and catch some of these early morning coolness. Because it gets 104 most of us friends at a mountain bike. And apparently by nine o'clock, it's like too hot to ride. - Oh, you guys are biking or just golf? - No, we're not golfing. This is my friend, Sean. He's a yoga specialist leading us through some deep stretches today. - Yeah, it's awesome. He looked really dark though, right, we'll see. It's all, yeah, it's all very dark right now. But it's gorgeous, trust me. And then our brain surgeon is plotting away mosquitoes right now or something. - Okay, maybe we can do a little round table later. If you guys grab a few drinks, we can all sit down live and talk about things. 'Cause those sound like some really good life stories that could kind of be in there. However, everyone had to navigate that. Plus, I know most of them might smoke, so that'd be fun. - Oh, yeah, you could probably go all of them. In fact, the brain surgeon I've known since kindergarten. - I knew his brother. - My longest friend. So I'm very grateful that I'm still in contact with these guys. - Awesome. All right, well, we have like nine minutes left and were you guys able to listen, read, observe this meditation of the day? And if we got him, I'm going to let you know. So it's September 27th. And if you guys don't know, we are reading the Daily Dab by Ryan Holiday. It is a daily meditation from Ryan Holiday. He's writing things and bringing up historical figures, you know, giving me a little bit of a backstory for some people and bringing in stoicism and some modern psychology and all that kind of stuff. But today, again, it is what game are you teaching them? And I think all along, it's making sure that we know that the game, whatever we're teaching kids, it's making sure that we are knowing that they need to be in it for life and that whatever we're kind of teaching for more of an acute moment can be helpful. But, you know, how are we going to apply that to their life at large? Guys, thoughts though. Thoughts on what Ryan Holiday had to show today. I'll jump in here. This is kind of why I asked if it was okay if I joined you this morning. So I did read it and then, yes, it kind of applies to yesterday's too. And I'm interested in hearing what you guys have to say first on it because, right after I finished reading it, I was like, "Who shares their kids standing for reading it?" I was like, "Who shares their kids' standardized test course?" And who's like comparing their kids' grades to other kids' grades? Does anybody do that that you guys know? - It's not what you're doing on your Arizona vacation right now. (laughing) - No, I've never done that before. So I don't know who these people are, but you know, there's people out there that do everything. So. - I'm sure there are, but it's definitely not something that comes up to me as a conversation point. - Yeah, you don't recommend it in your class. - What, like having a test score face off? - Kids make sure you go home and tell your parents so they tell their friends. - Now for the public shaming. - What do you guys think of it? - Yeah, I like the lesson behind it. I mean, it's a lesson that I've only newly adopted that I used to think that I was just at a certain level of education and knowledge. And then it wasn't until I started opening books and listening to podcasts and watching Gary B. or what have you on YouTube just continue learning. And I've heard that, you know, I've heard basically this line a couple of times that like, you know, especially because I listen a lot to Ryan Holiday, but he likes to, and I think he's brought it up this month, but it's like, you know, Marcus Aurelius, one of the big times Stoics was, you know, often his elder years full gray hair, you know, walk it off to learn something from his teacher and mentor, even into the old ages. So, you know, never, never not a student. Another lesson is like, you can learn something from everyone. Like everyone can be your master in something else. Like, you know, obviously I don't know anything about nutrition. So Ryan, I can learn a lot from Ryan. Anything about art, I can learn a lot from Jason. You know, that kind of thing. Never, you know, being humble and learning from everyone. (crickets chirping) - You're just kicking people off, Ryan. - I'm trying not, oh, wow. Blaze was coming in and said Jason. All over the place, this is good. (laughing) Blaze, quickly before I, we have, I don't know, Bukes, Bukes 605 in the chat. Ask for a link to the book. I sent a link over to the dailydad.com, or dailydad.com. And so, but I also wanted to say that Blaze has said that he has a few credits for Audible to actually share the books. So, Bukes, if you or anyone else wants to just read along daily, let us know, and then you can reach out to Blaze. Blaze is Blaze RN, what's your handle? - Six one, six. Blaze RN 617, yeah, shoot me a message. I have like a couple of digital copies on Audible. I can send you and I'd love to have you jump in with that. I actually lost my book and I only do Audible now. And one day I'm gonna find it, it's gonna be great, but until then, I'm listening. As you guys know, I'm okay. This is the second morning my phone overheated. I don't know why, but we're okay, everything's good. Everyone's all right. And we're gonna get Bukes 605, we'll copy, and we need to make everything a game. So, there you have it. - Yeah, also Jason, if you need to ask you guys over there, I'm sure the brain surgeon can definitely buy a copy for every single person, but at the same time, Blaze has these credits, so. - I was like how Jason left, and then he turned the sun on and then came back. (laughing) - Sorry, my alarm keeps going off the alarm. If you don't know, cancels the audio coming from StreamYard. Very annoying. Make sure you turn your alarms off. You can do that. It's good to know we need that. Where we launched them from. We got 21 people, my daily dads. On X right now, so hi to everyone over there. Come over to StreamYard, if you wanna join the conversation, if you have anything back to me, that would be really cool. But we were just getting into the, Blaze, I'd love to hear your feedback. I feel like Blaze always has a really good insight into everything going on. But this game of, you know, comparing our kids or trying to get our kids to kind of measure up to something it sounds like. What are these games that we're getting ready kids for if we're not getting them ready for like the larger kind of thing in life? That was my takeaway. I don't know if it's exactly what you guys are thinking. - I just think it adds like some kind of motivation, like what I think about, can you guys see me and hear me? (laughing) - Yeah. - I don't know what my-- - You hear, we can hear you. - Okay, so anyways, the earliest game of vacation is probably the tooth fairy. Am I gone? - No, you're not. - But you're probably the tooth fairy. Okay, is the tooth fairy, you work really hard to lose this tooth, you put it under your pillow, and then you get rewarded from the tooth fairy for money. This recently happened where my daughter lost her tooth and I put $20 under her pillow and she was so happy, but then people came to clean our carpet and I didn't have any cash to give them a tip. So I took the $20 and tip them with it. And she never even, she doesn't even realize it's gone. So it was, she wanted to find that money under her pillow and then she's never asked about it again. I mean, she might at some point, but I just think you have to be working towards stuff. Like my son right now, we have, like I was talking to you guys about game of firing lacrosse, like we created a game where he pelts me with the cross balls and it's motivating for him. We've talked about the gold star program or when my kids practice patient kindness and all that stuff, they get gold stars. So they're always like, did I earn a gold star? Did I earn a gold star? But I know there's some things that probably shouldn't be gamified. Like I think maybe we've talked a little bit about this. It's like every time you do something good, should we be rewarding our kids with like ice cream and Oreos and all that stuff. And I think in some cases, yes, but like other cases, no. So that's where my mind goes with that. - All right, Ryan, how do you take the passage? - No, oops. - Right. - That's your place? - Oh, there you go. - I was just saying, I think it's strange that we teach our kids to lose their body parts. I mean, it's kind of like a pseudo-black market thing. It's like, give me a tea. Give me money. That's weird, but that's how we do it. That's how kids like it. I took the package at the package. I took the passage, the meditation today, as a reminder of not sweating the small stuff. I mentioned that recently that I remember when I was in my dad was reading a book, don't sweat the small stuff, and I kind of saw his mind working a lot when he would treat it, and then he would share some things with us. But overall, I think that idea of, you know, making sure that we don't get too serious. And I hear about the gamification. Liz, I hear about that. Dom, I hear about you making sure that we are, you know, keeping the big thing in there. And so I think what I want to make for that I'm doing is not comparing my kids too much or pushing them too hard or asking them to lose more teeth too quickly. It's like a long game. I would really, you know, setting our kids up for it. I think sometimes I can get so wrapped up in the minutiae to make sure that I'm doing the right thing. Like when it comes to nutrition, like my kids aren't really getting exactly what they need right now. Like this one meal is gonna make a break then. I know it's not, but it's something where I can't get wrapped up in that. And then it's more about the connection with them sometimes. I was recently thinking about that idea of those like magical nine minutes in your day, right, the three minutes after they get up to three minutes when they get home from school and the three minutes where they go to bed, where I can spend more of my time. And I think that that's like, that's like part of my infinite parent game, making sure that I'm thinking of a long game there. It's like, you know, I don't think we have to get so wrapped up or worried about every little thing or that I can't be there for that or I'm not there when they're, you know, asking that exact question. I don't know, I don't have that emotional availability, but I can be there for those, you know, it was like nine minutes in the day. So that was now I took it. - I've been, I love that you bring that up 'cause I've actually been trying to like really pay attention to that. Like as soon as they wake up, it's not fresh your teeth, get your clothes and eat breakfast, but how are you? How did you sleep? Set an intention for the day and just kind of like feed into them a little bit. It's hard with three kids at the same time. So I'm being a little picky choosy 'cause I'm not sure I can, I'm there yet to do all three at the same time, but working on it. - That's awesome. All right guys, we are at time, always trying to keep this close to 30 minutes. So we are going to say goodbye. And Jason was great seeing you. I hope you guys have. Jason, if you honestly want to have a good round table later, I'd love to discuss a few things. I can bring up one or two topics that we can all kind of touch on. I think that's really fun. So if you guys have the time later, let me know. Everyone can send us their phones, it'd be fun. (indistinct) - To the masks here. All right guys, any last words before the latest signs of song? - This is one thing I wrote down.
