(upbeat music) - This is an NBC News Radio Special Report, Hurricane Milton. Florida's Central West Coast is bracing for Hurricane Milton's impending landfall. The National Weather Service says to take cover now, warning of the extremely dangerous and life-threatening situation. Milton is currently a category three storm with winds around 120 miles per hour. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis says any looting after Milton will not be tolerated. - There are some people who did not want to evacuate because they were worried about the security of their property. We're a law and order state. We will hold looters accountable. You're not going to want to mess with this. - DeSantis spoke with Fox News where he said those who did not evacuate need to hunker down for the next 24 hours. He added that he's brought in massive amounts of out-of-state officers to help with the recovery efforts. This has been a special report.
