This is what you do when you've just found that statement handbag on eBay and you want to build an entire wardrobe around it. You start selling to keep buying. Yup, on eBay. Over that all-black everything face, list it, and buy all the color. Feeling more vintage than ever? It's out with the new and in with the pre-loved. Next thing you know, you've refreshed your wardrobe basically without spending a dime. Yup, eBay. The place to buy and sell new, pre-loved vintage and rare fashion. The easiest way to make sales as a print-on-demand seller is to study what customers are typing into the search bar, indicating their interests, indicating what they want to buy, and then us as the sellers need to meet and exceed their expectations with what we are selling that we tailor towards specifically, again, what they type into the search bar. Hopefully that makes sense. It was kind of a roundabout way of saying, "Hey, we need to figure out what people are searching for and then give them what they want." Now, in this video, I want to show you my favorite way of conducting free research. The scope expands beyond print-on-demand, but I want to, of course, bring it back to what the people want, what the subscribers want. So we're going to use an example tailoring it to print-on-demand, so let's get to it. So for the purposes of this video, we're going to be using my go-to place for free research, and that is Google Trends, okay? Google.com/trends, I'm going to put a link to it in the description. It is free, but there is a Chrome extension that I use to extend the capabilities of Google Trends. I'm pretty sure it's free if I remember correctly. Sometimes I get upgraded accounts for free for a lot of these tools, but I'm actually talking about it because I use it, all right? So it is called Glimpse. I'm going to enable it, all right? Just one click there in the top right corner, and now I'm going to perform a keyword search. Now I could type Halloween, right, because we know that that's coming, but I want to refine the scope just a little bit to kind of nudge the results, and then you guys will see and get an idea of why I'm doing the video about this, right? So I might type in Halloween shirt. Shirts are how I got my start with print-on-demand. The cool thing is that it will also expand beyond just t-shirts usually, I mean if it's relevant, okay? Anyway, by default you get the past five years, this is just a standard Google Trends thing, but you get the last five years of data, you can expand it from 2004 to present, and while it doesn't give typically exact search volume, Glimpse will actually estimate it, it tends to give it on a relative basis either way. You can study the peaks, so what is the peak time that people are searching for Halloween shirt? And I mean you might have to zoom in a little bit because it's really just saying the whole month of October is when Halloween shirt is being searched for, so not exactly the most useful thing. What I really wanted to show you is if you just scroll down a little bit, you don't get this with Google Trends, alright? This is using search data, basically from previous searches, right? It's using the auto-complete feature, I don't know exactly how it works, like I'm not an engineer for the Glimpse team, but I find this extremely useful, I have 12 pages of suggestions, okay? You can see here, we typed in Halloween shirt and you can see Halloween shirt Disney, Halloween shirt women's, Halloween shirt ladies. Now right away, it's like, it seems like it's slanted, or us as sellers, right? Should maybe slant more towards favoring shirts for women because two of the top three were for females, right? The next one, Roblox shirt, Roblox Halloween shirt, boys Halloween shirt, and I would say Roblox, I know a lot of their user-based younger boys, Halloween shirt at Walmart, Halloween shirt funny, Halloween shirt Walmart. So if it says like Walmart or Roblox, you know, something that we don't have the intellectual property rights to, skip those, right? They're not all going to be useful. This app is not meant to be tailored to print on demand sellers, but when it comes to the keywords, and not really keywords, I think of it as like phrases really, I think that's how we win as sellers, that we want to optimize around. Well, this is revealing those insights to us because again, to me, the way we keep it simple is by leveraging the title more than anything, right? It extends beyond just the title, but when we create a product listing, the title typically carries the most weight with what we're signaling to the algorithm, regardless of where we're selling Amazon, Etsy, eBay, Walmart, whatever, okay? And then include phrases that match what people are typing into the search bar again, as long as our product can deliver on that promise, right? As long as it's relevant. We don't want to get indexed on things that are only fringe relevant, because if we don't perform, we're going to get buried on page two of search results, or worse. You know what I mean? And nobody goes to page two. You guys know that. So anyways, Halloween shirt Disney, not exactly useful, even though we do know on Etsy, you see a lot of the Disney shirts, but Mickey Halloween shirt. So again, back to Disney, what is this Halloween shirt for pregnancy, okay? Halloween shirt for pregnancy. Was that on your radar? I mean, that could be a whole niche in itself, and you've got the phrase right there to optimize around the one right after that too, Halloween shirt for pregnant women, Halloween shirt ideas. Guys, Halloween shirt ideas could just be a tag on your listings. On Amazon, you know, a lot of people started selling print on demand on Amazon Seller Central. It doesn't exist on Amazon merch. It exists on Seller Central. You can edit your listing. There's a field called search terms where you essentially can get indexed on words and phrases that don't show up on the public facing part of your product listing, but you do get indexed on them if you choose to fill out that field. So that might be a great place to just put Halloween shirt ideas and try to get indexed on something that, you know, might not make sense to put in your title or your bullets, but would make sense to put on the back end keywords, right? On Etsy, of course, you know, it's more than 20 characters, but that would be a great idea if you could find a way to finagle it to work as one of your 13 tags. Halloween shirt maternity, Halloween shirt plus size, Halloween shirt pregnant, right? All of a sudden it's going into sticking to that niche of like, you know, pregnancy, Halloween shirt, men's retro Halloween shirt, blue Halloween shirt, Halloween shirt, adult Halloween shirt costumes, yeah, Halloween shirt costume. That's one that I, you know, prefer like when I'm doing my research, because I feel like it's broad, but also indicative of the intent, right? They don't have a specific costume in mind. They want ideas, even though they didn't type the word ideas, and then it's like, hey, if I have a good enough costume or, you know, a funny enough one, whatever, I might make the sale. You can hit next. There's multiple pages, Halloween shirt Snoopy, Peanuts Halloween shirt, Disneyland Halloween shirt, spirit Halloween shirt, cat Halloween shirt, dog Halloween shirt, Halloween shirt, for cat and for dogs, mini, mini mouse, nurse Halloween shirt, the nursing niche dominates, it crushes year round. Do you guys wanted a high level niche to dedicate a Shopify store to or an Etsy shop? Nursing. I mean, you'd be making sales year round. Halloween shirt SVG, it's funny they picked up on that as well. One more page, Halloween shirt pumpkin, Harley Davidson Halloween shirt, Nike Halloween shirt. Again, don't commit trademark infringement, of course, but it's just showing, hey, intent when it comes to searches, you know, people most likely want to buy something related to what they're searching, Pokemon Halloween shirt, Simpson's Halloween shirt, Barbie Halloween shirt, Black Cat Halloween shirt, Bougie Halloween shirt, care bear, cars, comfort colors, embroidered Halloween shirt. Interesting. See, if we click Bougie Halloween shirt, let's see, okay. So sometimes you can click and you get related queries. So if we go to like Halloween shirt for pregnancy and we click that, let's get some additional related searches, nope, it says not enough data, try a broader, less specific search term. So we could probably say like Halloween pregnancy and see if that yields any related search terms. I bet you it does. There we go, Halloween pregnancy, costume ideas. So if this is something we're going to pursue, again, you're trying to refine and optimize your SEO. We're doing this for free, leveraging data from Google trends, you know what I mean? Google the most trafficked website in the world, not a bad place to start since most customers journeys before they buy probably start on Google, right? And then they go wherever, wherever Google tells them to go. Halloween pregnancy, costume ideas, Halloween pregnancy announcement, Halloween pregnancy reveal. Guys, were you thinking of this? Because look, it's being searched, Halloween pregnancy announcement costume, Halloween pregnancy ideas, announcement ideas, announcement shirt, announcement captions, announcement template, right? There's some potential for digital products that looks like a Halloween pregnancy announcement with siblings, Halloween pregnancy photoshoot, right? Maybe they just want props, quotes, announcement to family, like it's so interesting seeing what people actually search for. Maybe it's not to you. I don't know. It depends if you've gone down this rabbit hole. Like this is just one I picked randomly for this video was not pre-planned, but like my head is spinning. Like there's so much potential here. And these don't all need to be different like designs or different products. Like it could be, but I'm also just thinking like I want to make a list of these high level, like higher level search terms, like phrases, right? It's the words in that sequential order. It's Halloween pregnancy costume ideas. That's one. Then it's Halloween pregnancy announcement. And I want to like lump some together that I can use if I make multiple listings, even if it's different products, right? You get what I'm saying? Like I want to make it as easy as possible in terms of a workflow for me to jump into Halloween pregnancy as a niche for Prananda Mansellers with potentially different designs representing different subdishes or cross niches and potentially different products. But I want to have, you know, using real data, the tags or the, you know, phrases I can include in my title if I can, if I have the extra characters, right? To make my life easy and to signal to the Amazon algorithm or to the Etsy algorithm what it is I'm selling where again, then it's on me when it comes to the design to deliver and exceed the customer expectations guys. That's what I want to talk about in this video because this is really it. Like this is, to me, how to be successful at Prananda Man. I mean, yeah, we can get into the, you know, more micro things, but at a high level, that's it. You know what I mean? What are they searching? Okay. I'm going to optimize my SEO around that. And of course, I'm going to deliver. You know what I mean? And if I'm delivering, you know, you're not going to capture every sale because certain customers, they want what they want and it's hard to appease everybody. You know, unless you're the, the, I'm not old, I'm classic shirt. You guys know what I'm talking about with 10,000 reviews on Amazon merch unless you're that guy, right? It's hard to appease everybody. But if you're performing well on specific search terms, like that means the customer types into the search bar, they click you and they don't click your competition. They click you and then they purchase it. You will continue to climb the ranks and the higher you rank organically, the more money you make might take some time guys, but hey, I got all day.
