Welcome to Top 5 Niches of the Week, the original print-on-demand niche show. I've got five print-on-demand niches for you to target in the month of October to help you make sails in the immediate future. So, let's get to it. Let's kick things off with an Amazon merch sales update. So, in the last seven days, I made 383 sails, bringing in $1,079 in royalties on the U.S. market and another 200 to 250 from international sales. If you want to follow me on Instagram, link in the description. I post daily sales updates for motivation. All right, let's check out the current top 10 trends. This is not curated at all. This is just kind of what is selling what's in demand right now. So, take a quick peek. Could be indicative of trends to come up in this episode. As I said, I wanted to focus on sails in the immediate future. We're about to be in October. Where does the time go? It's crazy. But that just means, hey, every time we turn over into a new month, there's usually opportunity. Now, some of these may look familiar, okay? Especially if you've been subscribed and if you are, thank you. Starting with niche number one, hopefully it looks familiar. It's going to be breast cancer awareness. I've said it before, but month long niches, okay? Like breast cancer awareness month, whole month of October, tend to sell best in the first week of the month. So, if you are new to print on demand or you're new to whatever, or maybe you're in Amazon merch and you're in a lower tier, which means you should be prioritizing whatever's in highest demand at the time and be agile and jump from niche to niche to niche. Well, you should be in breast cancer awareness, or you could say like the we wear pink, different phrases associated with different designs under the same roof, the parent niche being breast cancer awareness in the month of October. So, again, there's a lot of subnishes, but there's also some like really primary subnishes, like breast cancer awareness would be, you know, and when I think of a niche or a sub niche, I'm thinking of what people type into the search bar before they purchase one of these designs you see behind me. So, breast cancer awareness being one. In October, we wear pink being another support, you know, support squad, support, you know, XYZ. The various, you know, search terms associated with that, we know that's a big one as well. So, a lot of potential there and of course, a good cause. So, since the last time we'll be talking about breast cancer awareness for this year, but I did, since we're knocking on the door of it turning into October and it's seeing a spike in demand, really peak demand on the year, I wanted to give one last reminder. Which brings us to niche number two, also associated with the month of October, that is domestic violence awareness. Notice that breast cancer awareness had a predominant color of pink associated with it, domestic violence awareness, primary color, purple associated. Anytime we get a niche like this, I like to either design for either like a black shirt with elements of purple that contrast well or a white shirt with elements of purple in the design, right, that contrast well, or flip it, design for a purple shirt and then of course, just make sure whatever colors you use in the design that it contrasts well. You want people to see the design and stop and do a double take, right? Because we know it's like the short attention span age, whatever we want to say, era, and you really need to like have your designs shine. Like for instance, I think the contrast right here looks great. Contrast right here looks great. I do release an audio version of this, so I realize it's not helpful to anybody listening to the podcast version, but essentially just again, on a black shirt, typically the brighter purple is going to look good is what I'm saying. Niche number three, guys, I'm just speaking to what I am personally selling right now. How about Kamala, right? And when I say Kamala, we are going to sell to both sides, right? It's politics. There's demand on both sides. You know that there is a lot more Trump designs because he's been popular for, you know, or he's been in the news cycle for, you know, 10 years, right? So I'm finding more success with my Kamala designs where there is less competition, but essentially the political niche is still doing extremely well in terms of sales volume and outside of our control. There are specific events like election day is going to be huge. If there's another debate, which I think isn't there like a vice president debate or something like that, it's not my thing. But I did release a political calendar in a video like last week or the week before. And I kind of forgot what it was because it's just not really my thing. But I know that there are days where this is going to be more like prevalent in the news. And on those days, we're going to see a massive uptick in sales. So it's kind of like you make sales along the way. Then you're going to have these outlier big spike days. And we have quite a few that are predictably coming in the near future. So definitely occupy some online real estate in the political niche, right? And then just wait for those days to come. Let them come. You don't need to do anything. That's what's so great about the political niche. All right, niche number four. I love this one. This is related to Halloween. It is costume security, right? Where costume is a variable representing whatever costume a child is going to wear trick or treating. The parent is going to wear the t-shirt that just says, you know, unicorn security. Princess security, fairy security, right? I'm noticing a lot more. I would say female leaning, like daughter leaning security shirts, at least in the top trends, which is just fine, right? These are so easy to sell in terms of costumes. The one thing I would not do, by the way, you guys already know where I'm going with this one, is use a Disney font, which two of the top five bestsellers and three of the top 10 bestsellers have opted to do. Those are the types of designs where the account gets complete. It's not just like a, oh, I got one design removed. It's like, oh, the account got closed and then people wonder what the heck they did wrong. And yeah, it's pretty obvious, right? Do not use the Disney font if you do not have the rights to use the Disney font. It's very simple. And don't do it on Amazon. Don't do it on Etsy. Don't do it anywhere. Anyways, these security costumes, right? They're for the parents, by the way, right? And then the kids, they're probably wearing an actual costume, not a Amazon merch cheap t-shirt costume. The parents go by the t-shirt that accompanies it, okay? Keep it simple. And hey, if both parents are taking the kids' trick-or-treating, you might get to sell two shirts instead of one in the same order, which who doesn't love that? It doubles the order value. So costume security, niche number four, one of my favorites. I love text designs. This is just an easy one. Moving on, niche number five. How about World Teachers Day? Shout out to all the teachers, whether it's a teacher buying a shirt for themselves or a gift, right? For a teacher, $20 and under is a great price range, charging $19.99 for a World Teachers Day themed t-shirt. I mean, what's not to love? That's easy if you ask me. This is more of an overlooked calendar niche because it's not as big as Halloween, right? Which is what we probably think of when we think of October. But really anything in the teacher, niche is going to potentially see an uptick here. So World Teachers Day is kind of the reason people are going to go to Amazon and go to Etsy, going to go anywhere Pernan demand products are sold and type in gift for teacher, right? And ideally, they're going to find your listing, purchase it and then, you know, gift it to their teacher, right? Or, you know, the teacher's buying it for themselves, like we said. But that is October 5th. And if you are struggling to make teacher themed designs, you could go to creative fabrica, type in Boho Rainbow. And these rainbow designs stop me if you've seen these in some best sellers in the teaching niche before, but you can find a bunch of these already made for you that you can integrate into your original designs. Just add some text is what I like to do, but you can do that on creative fabrica linked in the description. If you use my link, you can join for as low as $3.99 a month, which I think is a steal. All right. Moving on, emerging trends. These are designs that are significantly with their current BSR, which is indicative of how well they're selling in the short term outperforming their 90 day average BSR. So if you're familiar with like the stock market and momentum indicators, this could be predictive potentially of breakouts in demand, AKA emerging trends. It's not foolproof, but I just wanted to share these that first design right there, the red October, I saw a bunch of those trending this week, but I'm also just a little bit hesitant because I'm pretty sure it's related to like baseball, isn't it? So it's not my thing. I don't want to sell anything related to, I don't even know, just like if I'm, if I'm, if my spidey senses are tingling at all about a potential niche that could get me in trouble, even down the road on Amazon merch, specifically, it is not worth it. And we are using PODLY right now to do Amazon merch research because, hey, since the beginning of my journey in 2017, I've always prioritized Amazon merch in terms of like where I put my effort in researching, designing, uploading. And then I kind of just let it trickle down to the other platforms. And hey, it has worked for me. Six figure profits from print on demand every year since 2019. So not bad. But anyways, looking ahead, here we go, October 29th is Hermit Day. So we are at least a month out from smaller holidays, October 30th, National Candy Corn Day, October 31st. Okay. Maybe not all small holidays. Of course, that's Halloween, November 1st, Dia, Dios, Los Muertos, and November 2nd, All Souls Day, crazy. We're already talking about November, what in the world? This year's been crazy. I'll have to do like a yearly recap of my life for you guys at the end of this year, because it has been a great year, but also just insane. The archive, here we go, 11 months ago, these were trending, could be indicative of what's going to be selling well one month from today. So basically we have Halloween themed t-shirts, costume themed t-shirts, Thanksgiving t-shirts. And by the way, the Crayola crayon shirts, I'm not a fan of selling. I don't know. I just, I always see them, some of them getting removed. So I'm just like, ah, not worth it. And the one over my shoulder here is using the, ah, you know, that popular show, Friends. It's using that font. I would not recommend that either. It also says deleted, so it wouldn't surprise me if they got in trouble. And then there's a little bit of like a Dia, Dia, Los Muertos themed design right there as well. All right, removed designs, bringing it home. These were all removed in the last two weeks. Feel free to pause the video, take a quick look, see if anything is a niche that you're selling in. Maybe you want to reconsider selling in that niche. This could have been removed by the seller or Amazon though, so it's not exactly, it's not an exact science. Anyways, moving on. Thank you for watching guys.
