every club every day the global sports podcast network welcome to the daily new castle podcast with GSPN it's wildcard Wednesday the best time of any week we missed it last week I definitely missed it last week hopefully listeners missed it as well we've been well card Wednesday of course I've got a theme didn't rogues are a little bit sad like that so in a week where there's a civil war in the Premier League in regards to Premier League rules Newcastle couldn't quite avenge their defeat at Goodison last season but didn't leave totally empty-handed as it was one infinity stone apiece Thomas Frank is proving he's a doctor in the strangest of starts as we scored another crazy early goal meanwhile Brighton relied on Ironman well back again to complete a great comeback against Spursy Spurs Liverpool's guardians of the goals and she would be kept another clean sheet whilst losing their Brazilian panther in goal oh my god it's so good that it's wildcard Wednesday and I am joined by two incredible guests as always two very professional guests and they give away who it is if you listen regularly if you don't listen regularly you should be told off because this is the best podcast out there and my first guest is the dangerous daring Delicatessen queen that is Joe how are you doing Joe? I'm peachy man third time's a charm and what's the third time is because we keep having technical problems but just for you go anyway and my second guest is someone who calls himself but is actually the original roadrunner it's Nick I'm fine for hearing that for a third time but I don't call myself that I don't know where you've got that from I don't I don't know every time you say I don't know who calls himself a marathon munchkin just getting murdered also so yeah that's where we're at now for the listeners right this is third time lucky because we've been recording this and we've had technical issues in two minutes 21 right so we are going to be three seconds and walk but we get through two minutes 21 yeah we can we can now carry on safely I think with your touch word oh my god let's get this let's get this started yeah we're in October October marks Black History Month in the UK and with the Premier League and Premier League club showcasing ways in which we promote equality diversity and inclusion as well as shown an ongoing commitment attack discrimination it's only right but we celebrate Black History Month as well because black players have made incredible contributions to the Premier League since it started so it's only right but we celebrate the best black players to ever don the famous black and white stripes have been cast united so our thought what we do is we will create an N UFC Black History Month 11 how does that sound sounds good to me like I'm not gonna be very good at this but let's go right I've been walking all wrong tonight Nick so smoothly right everything everything's been so smoothies for this world as well and again I genuinely think that Black History Month is a time for people from all backgrounds come together celebrate have fun right so we're gonna have fun with it right I think the best way to do this because it's quite difficult sometimes doing best 11 episodes I think we'll go through everyone's go keep out then discuss when everyone's defence discuss midfield discuss strikers discuss now we need to start with formations Joe I'm gonna guess you're doing a 442 because you love 442 you know me in my 442 I right back so they're doing the same I've actually put boom song as I sent the back best ever not best ever but it's our all-time pretty good 11-0 Kev be nice boom song can't get in at all time he's a so Bernard left back I really should have put in but I'm just gonna see my original choice and it's a bit of a cheat because he's not a real left bag but Charles and Zogbier and then my two cents a half's oh Chancellor and member in Sebastian Bessong our four per song was mint for Newcastle United I know he was only there one season but he was so good for us same as Bay actually it was the same season and them two were both quite good in a season which wasn't great so I think without being too rude and getting too much stick from people I'm gonna rule out Nicholas to get home yeah one of them we both picked him Joel can't have the cells so and you did you say the cells wasn't technically a current okay so it's out of the cells and a song who were putting in who we're gonna put in the cells of Bessong if we plan strictly by those rules booms the song has to be in because of the current it's just in that song yeah oh you know what I'm talking about being Bessong boots on wrong let's cent of mids I feel like they don't really need an explanation and then wing is I feel like these are gonna have mixed opinions but I've actually put Ben off on one of the wings one of my favorite all-time Newcastle players. I think I've said before when we'd done our last wild card Wednesday one of the last wild card Wednesday's he was one of my favorite ever new castle players and Maxie oh so Maxie put him in but that is a great show on the other wing but I had quite a lot on there to be fair so but they're my four so they're what I'm gonna stick with I'm not gonna change them yeah what I will say if you've got Maxie one wing and Ben off of the other wing with zero work rate and you've got brombling boom song as you sent a half pair and you're going down oh you're leaking goals I love Maxie I love Ben Arthur but with no work rate there but then men sent a half pair and I mean Jesus but they lent a tenure if anything else you go down with entertainment and a tenon team and a tenon team and to be fair I'm one of my favorite because of plays I can't even explain why it's just when I was younger I think it was yeah he had the white boots he had the knee high socks he was rapidly was really fun something and I think me and Joe had a little discussion before we came on and we might have the same player but Tino aspria against Barcelona alone for me if we're celebrating some of our best black players like that is one of honestly that's one of Newcastle's most iconic moments in the history of the club hundred percent I'd had written my celebration yeah and obviously Tino aspria is is a huge part of that and it's a huge part of our history so I think he he has to do especially if we're celebrating the black history month and that is just an iconic image for Newcastle fans so my midfield three of the four same as Nicola and but then aspria left wing Joe what's your midfield looking like how did I forget him well following on yeah we we had this discussion before we started so aspria was in mind and this is where I was switching between the whole like 4 4 4 2 and 4 3 3 so I was gonna put astria as a 3 at the front but it would have literally been three strikers so I didn't I've ruled him on the left and in the middle I've got Tio de and Cristian Atsu and then on the right wing I've got rule Fox Chris a little bit before your time maybe Nick no rule Fox yeah right wing I remember all Fox for other clubs but weirdly not for Newcastle because again I was really young I mean I was young don't get me wrong so it is gonna be before your time of I was young but that's why I then moved aspria on the left instead so I was gonna have just a literary three mids and then three strikers with that personal I didn't realize yeah that's you so you could actually have 4 3 1 2 with like Aspria as a 10 because that's like 4 4 2 kev so we're not gonna go there remember thank you 4 2 1 Mike was it I know Joe's next introduction is definitely along the lines of Mike Bassett I'm not gonna been offer I mean my vote's gonna go for bin offer I think Nick's will goes for bin offer I love bin offer more so as much as I pick rule Fox so I've got a bit off right wing now but sent over the field me and Nick both have Teodie and Dyer so I don't know if Teodie in so I don't have Dyer and Attu I don't give it a Dyer I'll give it up majority vote you guys can have Dyer yeah well done Nick well done Nick's redeemer friends I can't repeat because I will just lose it again so I really struggled I don't know how I just struggled I can't believe it's for weird jaw jogged that you're that a player everything he could do everything there was nothing Les Ferdinand couldn't do Ferdinand will definitely be in Jaws because she had a bit of a crush on him and she loved him I loved him I had both cuz I loved yeah that's why I said it was like two obvious ones for me but I have got a list on the sub bench by the way but yeah Gordon Ferdinand as well my two were under Colin Ferdinand yet but I did have why I think that the obvious ones yeah the one I'm good about not putting in I'll let you make a case for arrest Denver bar I loved Denver bar CC yeah I thought I always preferred bar
