Proposals have been drawn up to scrap a special bus pass concession for disabled people travelling in the mornings. The now-card allows passengers aged aged over 65 or with a disability to travel free of charge on any off-peak local bus service across Lancashire. It is part of the nationwide English National Concessionary Travel Scheme, which the government has just renewed. But now Lancashire County Council, which have ministers the now-card across the county, is proposing to axe an extra discount available to some bus pass holders. Owners of a listed 18th-century pub that was illegally demolished have reached an agreement with Ribble Valley for a council, over the next steps in the rebuild. The punch bowl in in Hearst Green was bulldozed in June 21, after the owners Donlon Trading Limited ignored the decision by the council. They were ordered to rebuild it to its original plan, based on architectural records by March of this year. Having already paid costs and fines of over £69,000, the council was seeking an enjunct action to ensure the work was done, with threats of imprisonment on the table should they not comply. The group reached an agreement with Ribble Valley for a council that the project would be undertaken by an architect. Both parties agreed and it was recorded that if the architect was to agree to the project, then the defendants had just under a month, until November 7, to provide any outstanding information and the necessary provisions for the project. Anti-social behaviour around fireworks at weddings and in towns, late at night, needs further action, councillors have warned. In 2021, there were incidents in Pendle of police, fire crews and paramedics, being attacked by groups, throwing fireworks and progress has been made regarding tackling violent elements around bonfire night. But now, more work is needed to deal with other issues, especially disturbance late at night. Pendle Council's latest full meeting was told. Proposals have been drawn up to scrap a special bus pass concession for disabled people travelling in the mornings. The now card allows passengers aged aged over 65, or with a disability, to travel free of charge on any off-peak local bus service across Lancashire, it is part of the nationwide English National Concessionary Travel Scheme, which the government has just renewed, but now Lancashire County Council, which have ministers the now card across the county, if proposing to axe an extra discount available to some bus pass holders. Owners of a listed 18th-century pub that was illegally demolished, have reached an agreement with Ribble Valley for a council, over the next steps in the rebuild. The punch bowl in in Hearst Green was bulldozed in June 21, after the owners, Donlon Trading Ltd, ignored the decision by the council. They were ordered to rebuild it to its original plan, based on architectural records by March of this year. Having already paid costs and fines of over £69,000, the council was seeking an injunction to ensure the work was done, with threats of imprisonment on the table should they not comply. The group reached an agreement with Ribble Valley for a council that the project would be undertaken by an architect. Both parties agreed and it was recorded that if the architect was to agree to the project, and the defendants had just under a month, until November 7, to provide any outstanding information and the necessary provisions for the project. Anti-social behaviour around fireworks at weddings and in towns late at night needs further action, councillors have warned. In 2021, there were incidents in Pendle of police, fire crews and paramedics, being attacked by groups throwing fireworks, and progress has been made regarding tackling violent elements around bonfire night. But now, more work is needed to deal with other issues, especially disturbance late at night. Pendle Council's latest full meeting was told.
