In this episode Daniel Paisner joins me to talk about his novel ‘Balloon Dog’, a story driven by a would-be writer protagonist who looks at the world through snatches of classic rock lyrics. The novel tells the story of a brazen art heist gone sideways and asks readers to consider what it means to leave a mark and what it takes to be swept up in the same currents that move the rest of the world.
Later, Brad Page, host of I’m In Love With That Song podcast, another proud member of the Pantheon Podcast Network, drops by to do a deep dive into the song that inspired the novel ‘Balloon Dog’: The Rolling Stones’ “Satisfaction.”
