I don't give a damn if that results in an incomplete path. I don't care. They need that version of him. They need that version of the home that I don't give a you-know-what, but he's just like, "Here it comes." It's me in full regalia. Just like when he'd do that ball of worthy that they did get the interference call on, he ran back and threw that like it was a javeline. Hello, and welcome into that football show, your podcast for the NFL, Kancy Chiefs, and beyond here at KC Sports Network. I'm your host, like a friend who's always my Matt Ferterimp. Thank you to our sponsors, Ben Holiday, Bottled and Bomb Urban, and also Holiday Distillery. All the five folks at Holiday Distillery. We really do appreciate all their support for the network and to this show. Matt, another week of the books, Chiefs 5, and know how you're feeling going into the bi-week for the Kancy Chiefs. Good. Good. I thought the Chiefs might have played their best game this way this year on Monday. You could argue the Baltimore game based on the quantity that's on it, but that was the first game that I never felt like, oh, they're going to really make it come down to the last 30 seconds. This game, even after the Colin Saunders, one-handed pick in the end zone, I never felt like the Saints are going to win the game. I thought maybe the Saints will make it a little closer or whatever. I never felt like all the Saints are actually going to win. So that's a big step forward for the Chiefs who win every game, but make you feel like you want to die 58 minutes. The Foster Marades doesn't even send out alarm bells either. I know like if he would have made the extra point, it would have been a two-point game, but still that didn't move the needle for me of, oh, no. It was truly a game that never felt like it was in jeopardy for the Kancy Chiefs, and look, I feel like we haven't had no while, as you mentioned. The Cardiac Chiefs have the first five games came down to the last play of the game or something like that, insane, dating back to the postseason last year. But it's just an insane stat that the Chiefs keep winning football games and people think it's the the refs, obviously, like look, yeah, it's got to be something else besides the team that's actually on the field playing mat, like it has to be, but they take a really good advantage of the opportunities that they're given. That's just what good teams do. If they're given an opportunity, they're going to take advantage of it. They're going to make you pay. That's why it feels like the rest are always helping the Chiefs. But I feel like I'm pretty sure the choir here. I feel like I'm doing well, sir. You know what? We all know, as we all know, the Chiefs have only won football games because they have opened up their pockets enough to pay off the officials. Big Kansas City, big old Kansas, big huge market Kansas City, big Kansas City, big pharma. It's all the same. It's all the same, damn it. You know, the government creating hurricanes, all the same people. It's the deep state. They've all conspired, and the sports version of that is Clark Hunt saying, look, the hell with upgrading the facility, we're paying off the officials. What do you want, Pat? You want to win or you want air conditioning to practice? What do you want? Because can't afford them both, okay? So the Chiefs apparently can just do that with a big old payment this week as they won by double digits. Apparently, the officials forgot that they were on the take when a depot just flat-out hackled Xavier Worthy on a ball that would have been first and cold to two. That was one of the most, like, I didn't even think that there could be a non-call. I just assumed that, like, oh, there's got to be a flag somewhere. Right. Yeah. Like, a depot had to assume there was a flag somewhere. He just struck stick worthy in the middle of a route and then nothing. Okay. That's great. That's lovely. But, yeah, the Chiefs, listen, they win and they win with a whole lot of controversy in my home strokes from 331. Juju looks like Juju will have, like, five years ago and didn't expect that. And Kelsey continues his resurgence and Kareem Hunt looks like Kareem Hunt of about six years ago. And the Chiefs are turning back plain, apparently, at Arrowhead on Monday night. But doing it, in fact. We were joking about this before we started recording of, you know, I've called this team the Multiverse Chiefs team. It just, it seems like a bunch of different eras of Kansas City Chiefs football are coming together and converging on the 2024 Kansas City Chiefs. And, look, you know, I saw Drawn Sherry the other day. It looks like he might be able to take some snaps. Bobby Bell. Try. Maybe you said, you said, you think he could probably get a couple of goal line snaps. All lines, nobody. Yeah. I think that, like, they could probably work something out to get some of these new or these older eras, maybe some Super Bowl rings in it, too. Like some of these good players have played on some pretty good Chiefs team that didn't ultimately get a Super Bowl ring. You know what? Call Tim Grunhart. See if he must do a swing, a little swing inside offensive wide. How does Kim Blanzel and the show about a third down package? Yes. Yeah. Yeah. You know what? Is the wing bow? Is he still, is he ready to play? If needed? Well, I assume, you know, so, yeah, listen, it's, I was assigned to write for Sports Illustrated on that Chiefs games, you know, we all kind of get different assignments. My editor was like, well, if there's anybody in this team who's going to write about this game, it should be you. And I go, okay, that's fine. And my column was literally all this friends can sometimes be your best friends and got Jody Fortune coming back. Yes. That's a good one. You can go anywhere, but like he's now like, apparently, you know, reaffirmed this commitment to the team. He's playing a juju who I remember texting with somebody in the building when they signed them and I was like, Hey, juju, and I was like, yeah, he's really happy to be back. Like, I don't know that it's more than that, but it's cool. And it turns out they're the 130 yards at a text of that same person at the game. I was like, Juju? Oh no. Yeah, I mean, this, so this, this has been interesting and I was focusing on the receiving aspect. And we didn't get into Kareem Hunt, right? Well, at 102 yards, it really was on the ground at a touchdown. Looked great. So yeah, I mean, this is an interesting situation with the cheese. I mean, the only thing that I'm missing is Tyreke. Yeah. The cheese needs to just go, Hey, look, Miami, what's it going to take and just get the old damn band back together and just go for it. I love that. I was posting all of his cheese highlights on Instagram insane, by the way, it's an insane move from Tyreke. Like, like trolling, but also like, please God, make the call. You know, like, you know, like he's trolling, but there's also a party and it's like, would they do it? They've got it for everyone else. Like, you know, so, um, yeah, make the call, make the call. I, yeah, it's, it's, it's fantastic. He's like joking, but he's like, check. He's like saying something, but he's like, no, I'm actually joking, but then checking to see a reaction to be like, uh, it's like, it's like when you're married for a long enough time as I've been where you're like, Hey, honey, you know, it'd be nuts. If I were the Vegas with the boys, that'd be crazy. I crazy would do that. Would you, would you be okay? We did that. And yeah, that's how you approach that. I feel like this, that's how I was approaching a potential exit of Miami. Like, I mean, nuts, if I went back to Kansas City, you just can't imagine that. Could you imagine that? Cause you could, I, I might be gone born. I, you know, I guess I could do it. I mean, I don't know, I mean, yeah, if you're okay with it, I get right. I mean, if you're, if you're the one who wants to make this move, then I guess, well, why to stop is this, uh, you know, yeah, and it's kind of around that. Right. That's the vibe that I'm getting. I, I do think that I think somebody like tweeted at me and was like, who do you want to see them go get? And it's always been a tirey kill. And I, I think people have asked me to, it was like, you could pull a one player, we've had this question on 21 questions before it's like, one player from anywhere in the league and you put on the Chiefs, what did you do? And I always say, tirey kill, like I think tirey kill would be pretty damn good on the team. Uh, I still stand, stand pretty firm in that belief. Do I think it's going to happen logically? No. But there's like a small part of my brain that's like, no, how sick that would be, like that would be super cool. If like Patrick Holmes, an tirey kill and Travis Kelsey and Kareem Hunt and a Juju Smith Schuster, which like Juju and tirey court on the same team, right at the same time. They weren't, they weren't at the Chiefs at the same time. Um, Jody Forston, also, we'll go back to the Jody for at some point, just thought about this. He out snapped like Nicole Harmon and Skymore and caught a pass before any other wider receiver net, which is insane. And he got here like 45 minutes ago. I love the, like, I hate to admit this because what number is she for them, right? 89 now. Yeah. And Brian, I was going to say I'm like 85 times. He caught a pass and I was like, who the fuck is that? Like it took me a brief second to be like, Joe got there. Like I'm not to get, there's no fault of that. He just got there. I knew he was obviously on the team, but like I didn't know the number that he had been assigned. Yeah. Well, I'm like, fuck is he 89? Who the hell is that? I looked at my phone and I pulled out their rods. I'm like, oh my God, I forgot to go to the Ford's and it was like, I've got to eat the number. I'm like, is Jonathan Baldwin back? Are they going full? Like, yeah, yeah, it was insane. Now I, I love it at this point, like it's, it's funny with the Chiefs. Like they'll just go back to the well because they're like, well, these guys have won super volst. What the hell bring these guys back? I mean, Kareem, I didn't. Like, I bring, bring him back. At this point, just, just to balance out offense, he says, bring back Frank Clark. He, yeah. I don't care if he plays one damn snap, just through the vibes. The playoff run too, yeah, you know, like he's, he's insane in the playoffs. He's got to, he's got to break the playoffs back record. I think he's second right now. Yeah. So like we can bring him back, bring, like bring, bring Eric Berry back for like five snaps a game, just put him down the box and let him just kill somebody, a screen pass. But yeah, in any event, now listen, I thought they played great. I know Mahal and Joe, you know, there was no touchdowns in one pick. It should have actually been reversed on the same play. He played great. He was awesome. I also, I know this is a stupid thing that maybe nobody cares about. So forgive me, but would he do that ball to P-Ri in the end zone? He missed them because I, to be fair, it wasn't on Mahal's P-Ri and stop running. Yes. I love the fact that he didn't have to hit a spin move, but did it anyway. It was, I'm just going to well, this ball off of a spin move. And I really mean that, like, I know you'll look at that play. I even saw some people who are like respectable people are on Twitter. We're like, what, what's fucks you doing? Like, why is he doing this? I want him to be that version of him. Uh huh. Yeah. I don't care, man. I don't give a damn. If that results in an incomplete path, I don't care. They need that version of him. They need that version of him that I don't give a, you know, what, where he's just like, here it come. Yep. It's me in full regaling it just like when he do that ball to worthy that they did get the interference call on, he went back and do that like it was a javeline. When he started to throw the ball, I'm like, oh my God, he's got those 80 yards in the air. Like, he do that ball so hard. I was like, this is great. I don't even, like, before I could see what he was throwing to, I was like, I don't care if there's four defenders down here. This is, this is who I want him to be. Yeah. And of course, I ended up getting a 46-yard interference. It was a great throw. I think if you didn't end up very proud of Adam, I'm like, I want that version of him. That's the version of him that I've been asking for for the first month of the season. Like, stop with this check-down shit. You're Patrick Maholtz, man. Like, I want you to hit your back foot big. Here it comes, you web F. Here it comes. I'm going to throw this thing 40 yards down the seam in double coverage and I'm going to hit my guy in the hand. And I thought that game, he wasn't scared. He wasn't leaving good pockets. He was throwing the ball at the party. Like that game was the first time this year, Baltimore to some degree to be fair. But for the first for a full 60 minutes, where I was like, he looks like him. Like, he is just cutting his thing loose. Another one was that run that he had where he had two things, defensive slam into each other because he did, like, a little pirouette move. That's him, like, that was like, watching him that I was like, this is the best sign of the entire game. He looks like the quarterback that he's been for years. He just destroys the world because nobody knows how to deal with it. And yeah, he didn't have to do that spin move before he threw the ball up here, right? I don't care. That one, he is feeling it like that. But that's when you, as a chief fan, are they're going to win this game? I'm just guy, when he plays like this, he's unstoppable. I hope he keeps playing like that. That was awesome to see. On the post game show, I'm glad that you mentioned that, Matt. On the post game show, I, my toast game, uh, Ben Hall, Purpose Center by Holiday Distillery, my toast game was Patrick Mahomes because he got his swagger back. And that was, that was very important, I think. I think that was the most important thing that we saw, um, in this whole game, this whole season of him, he did make a concerted effort to stay in a pocket. I don't know if you noticed that, Matt, it looked like he was like, he, there were sometimes he was like, tried to go and he was like, wait, no, I need to stay. This pocket is clean. I got to stay and he made things happen. And look, I know there's something like people will look at the stats, as you mentioned, like no touchdowns, the interception, it should have probably been reversed. And he probably should have had another touchdown to P. Ryan, the scramble. Maybe Xavier really was over the top that he could have thrown to that he'd see him pump there. But here's the thing, he still made things happen. And that's the biggest thing is that for confidence, like he's going, like those plays will get completed. Those down the field shots, they will. But the fact that he's now taking those shots, he's making those plays happen. He is staying in those pockets, I think is the biggest sign of growth. And look, none of us ever thought Patrick Holmes was going to totally regress, right? Like, this is a, this is a different offense of him trying to, I guess, recover from the scars of 2023, right, where he had no wider receivers. The offense had to be neutered to an extent where he had never seen before. And he basically had to change the way he played football. We're five weeks into the season. There are still some, like, remnants of that 2023 season when you look at, like, passing charge, when you look at some of the depth of target stuff, you still see some of that. It's gonna take a little bit more than five games to fully recover from what the 2023 season did to Patrick Holmes in the offense. Like, look, I understand why he is throwing the deep ball, the ball deep. Now, you know, they haven't been connected on all the time. Two of them probably should have been past our fear, which calls only one of them was. But that's the thing is that it's going to take some time. I know some people are frustrated when they see, like, his passing charge is not completing the ball deep. It's not all the flashy numbers. It's going to take time. He's has to build trust in his offensive line with the wider receivers that he has. Well, the wide shapes he was building trust with now aren't playing football for probably the rest of the regular season. So that's another, like, part of it that goes into it. Trust takes time, just like with any relationship. You don't need us to talk about relationships here on that football show, but it's a relationship in terms of football. It takes time. And it's going to take time for him to get back to the 2022, 2018 version of Patrick Mahomes, where he can really let it loose and really just play backyard football that we're so used to Patrick Mahomes doing because, kind of like last year, he really couldn't. And like, so now he's got to get back to that. Well, what were the odds of Mahomes that Daniel had a heart attack when he threw that ball to Juju for the 50 yarder and Juju actually caught it. Like, Mahomes had to have been like, Oh my God, this isn't canary of stone in your sky more. It would have dropped this ball and maybe even turned it into an interception. Like, he hit him and it was just like, Oh God, it and then he just ran for 50 yards. Yeah. You know, like, listen, I know that Juju Smith-Juicer's not putting up a Bach 30 a week here. Okay. If he is, they're not. But can Juju even have like 50 yards a game, like, can you do that, you know, and that sounds a goal. It's not a lot. That's 850 yards for season. Like, can you put up 50 yards in a game? Can you do that? Because we can do that. That's a game changing thing for them. That's a huge deal for that. It doesn't mean they don't need to go out and get another receiver. I still think they would have to. It doesn't mean, but like, that solves a lot of problems to you in the slot. If he can play anywhere near that level, anywhere near it, that's a game changer for them. It is. And so, like, I'm very curious to see with the chiefs going forward, if they get the buy this week, obviously to come out to play the Niners and Niners are weird because on paper, you're like, Oh, it's the Niners. The Niners, you actually looked at them, they're beat the element, they're just a million guys. Yeah. And the chiefs, or whatever the reason is, they always beat them. They beat them every time they play them. And my homes, like, well, has had huge games of times against them as well. So I'm curious to see how this continues to roll. Hardman got more involved on Monday night. They gave, you know, he had four catches. Most of it was like those prepackaged site plays, but they work. I think the chief, I look, the other thing we haven't even mentioned, they're defenses ridiculous. Wow. I mean, that's one of the one big point is she he, which is a nice way to give the sage crap. Other than that. He got it. Yeah. He got it. Absolutely. The chief kicked the Saints teeth in for the higher game. I mean, Camara looked like me trying to run the ball that game. And then, you know, obviously, I feel bad for the guy. There gets hurt late in game because the chief decided to engage eight on heart that I literally brought eight guys and we're just like, we're, we're counting in one way or the other. We're hitting him. Yeah. Um, you know, I got to actually if corporate car made an unbelievable throw. But yeah, in car, it was maybe the best way to be made all night long. Um, this team does not score 30 points to win a game. If the chief scored 24 points most weeks, it's going to win. I mean, they know we can score against them. So it's, uh, it's highly, McColl Hardman had more than double the yardage. Crystal Law. They add crystal of it in yards receiving like. So here, here's what you did all about the chief defense in that game. Camara rushing yards, a lot of a receiving yards combined less than Juju's 50 yard recession. Juju on one snap, I'll play their top two weapons. Yeah. It's insane game by the defense, but they've been doing this in those three years. So it's, uh, super impressed. They have the run defenses. You mentioned it a little bit with Camara there. The run defense has been very impressive, but how they've been able to play Nick Bolden has played, has stacked a couple of really good games right back to back. It was a very tough start to the season for Nick Bolden. But I think when you get him in the role of him just running down, it'll see ball hit ball type of, uh, type of defensive where he's just playing that, playing the downhill run. Man, he's pretty damn good at that stuff right there. And he can, he can make attack with the best of them in the open field. So I, I've been impressed with how Nick Bolden's played the last couple of, a couple of games is defense. You're right. We're not talking about the defense a whole lot because these offenses, like, I don't think the Saints executed very well. I think the Saints, the, the Saints didn't really put up a, put up a huge fight. It's probably, that's probably, you know, um, go hand at hand, right? The, the Saints didn't probably execute very well because the Chiefs defense was being so good. It's, it's kind of hard to talk about it, but I don't know. I wasn't very impressed with the Saints offense at all. Um, and that might be because of the Chiefs defense in terms of, like it, it might be, they might play into each other a little bit there, but I do think it's one of those things where we haven't talked about the Chiefs defense a whole lot, but this, look, man, I mean, this is a defensive football team, like this is what it, what it comes down. There's been a defensive football team for a year and a half now. And we're at, to a point where this team is winning football games because of their defense and they have the best quarterback on the planet and the universe on their team. That is an insane thing to think about. Yeah. It basically just hold everybody to about 17 or less and then like, listen, Pat, what about like three plays a game? Yeah. No problem. Got it covered for you. They're, no, they're, they're flawed, but they are clearly the best. Like, I, I mean, I listen, believe me, sports illustrated. They paid me to watch all 32 teams, not just one. And I try to do my job and I, I've watched every team in this league at least two to three times. And in a lot of cases, I've watched them, you know, four to five game. She said there are issues that she sure are absolutely the best unit football. The only team in the industry, I think you even have a shot to beat them in a meaningful game. It's Detroit. I, they're it. I don't even either. You know, because I was going to never beat them. And they're hurt. I agree. Um, the AFC, I mean, I don't know, they, I mean, Houston, maybe we don't have a lot of data on that game because like they haven't ever played Stroud. And I, you know, I, I still, I know maybe it's a hot take. I still do the bangles are the biggest threats over the issue. I mean, they don't want to beat them. That's the thing. It's like, they don't have to beat them. Styles make fights sometimes in sports and that, that game is just easy and you know, it's one of those things to a second, the visual game, there's just balls. You went, every of those two teams get together, you know, it's just going to be an absolute fist fight. Yeah. They beat the Ravens every time they play it. Yeah. The bills, like getting the regular season, maybe I feel like I don't even need to see the rest of the season to know if they play the bills and apply off game, what it's going to look like. Right. They're not going to be able to throw the ball. The Chiefs are going to man up on the receivers. The Chiefs are going to absolutely torch the crap out of Buffalo's defense. They do every single time they've got to do it. I mean, Durham, it's going to panic and run a fake punt from his own eight. And the Chiefs are going to, I, it's the same day, every time they play them. Yeah. Every time they play them in a meaningful spot, the bill, the bills come into the game, everybody's like, Oh, you know what, Josh Allen, this and Josh Allen, that student body left and student by right. And then the Chiefs are like, you know what, round house to the face. Here we go. And then it's, that's it. Every single time they play it. So and the other thing helping the Chiefs is like, it's generally, you know, we'll probably do more like playoff picture stuff way down the line and then, right? Yeah. So they have a two game and more lead on every being in the conference, except Houston. Yeah. I mean, everybody in the conference and you're looking at, you know, like, okay, the Chiefs have five games left in the division that let's be, let's just call what it is. They should go to all five. Those mean they will they should, um, they play Carolina. They play the Browns. They play the Steelers. Why I know we're three and two, but anybody who watched something, I have football auto note. They're not very good. Right. That's eight of your games. Eight of your remaining 12 games. And it also like camp it on like, I think camp is better than, okay, than those teams. Like y'all. Wouldn't that get? By the way, shout out to everybody down in that area, like, stationary, gather and good, you know, all the best you. Um, look, I'm not dumb enough to know, like, Oh, the, the thing that, oh, the Chiefs are just going to win all those games. They should want. But realistically speaking, out of those nine games, like anything less than eight in one is a tragedy. Like, you, like those should be, Hey, knock those names out and that's 13 wins before you even play the three games. So the Chiefs are in a great position. They really are. Yeah. And we've talked about it, at least on the lab, me and the lab guys have always talked about, like, the Texans game, the Saturday before Christmas, like, if they win that one, could they sit the starters for the next two weeks? Maybe. Would anyone do that? Probably not. But like, realistically, could they, like, could it be locked up? They could. They really could have it locked up with the position that they put themselves in. And that's exciting. Well, uh, another exciting thing. It's been these picks presented by underdog will have those coming up right after this break. After Benny's picks, we got some teams to put to rest. So stick around for that. Many appreciate you hopping on here joining us on that football show, getting your pics presented by Underdog. How you doing, Benny? I'm well, fella, sorry I missed you last week, had the start of the Jewish New Year. So LaShanat, Ova, to all who observe, hope you had your fair dose of apples, honey, and yet another Chiefs win, and we had some wins for the pics too. I know that we went to it one last week, so let's keep it going. Love it. Love it, Matt. I know it was just you and I last week when we did the pics, but look, when we were talking about them, it felt good off the hand. I know I didn't come up with the pics, and I just had Benny's reasoning there. But I think both you and I kind of agree though, those pics didn't feel good off the hand. Yeah. Yeah. We pretty much fell in line, for better or worse, so we're on board. Yeah. See, this is new for me because for years before my KCSN days when Verdera and I were working together during the fan side in many media years, we had a thing where if, you know, Verdera and I were in agreement on something, we immediately had red flags go up. We're like, oh, no, wait, we don't know if we should be aligned here, but I think the tide has turned, so to speak. Sure. Seems like it. Love to see it, but Chiefs do have a bye week, obviously, but there are still NFL action going on. You can get in on underdog. Go check them out. Use that code KCSN. You can get all kinds of goodies. When you use that promo code KCSN, Benny, what do you have cooked up for us this week? Let's start at the running back position for the early game this week between the 49ers and the Seahawks. Uh, go with a guy who I expected a lot better numbers from last week, uh, really expected better numbers from the entire team. That's Kenneth Walker, Seattle Seahawks. I'm going for higher than 85 and a half rushing and receiving yards, so totally yards at home against San Francisco this week. This is a number that actually started a bit lower. It's 79 and a half midway through the week, uh, and has already gone up, but I still think the value is good on this number. I'd be perfectly honest that I think in what I'm anticipating for this game is a bit more of a shootout despite, um, two defenses that I think we all expected to be pretty solid at the beginning of the year and certainly Seattle has, it started to see their defense weighing a little bit, uh, with Mike McDonald after these, uh, really good start in these first three weeks. Um, but I, I think he could clear this number fairly easily. And I think a lot of it has to do on the receiving side of the ball, uh, Walker since coming back from the injury has seen a bunch of targets in the passing game talking about double digits over the last few weeks, 57 and 36 receiving yards alone during the last two weeks. But I do think it's in Seattle's best interest to use him more in the running game. And I think that's where they ran into trouble against the Giants last week. The running game wasn't consistent. They didn't go to it enough. Uh, Gino found himself dealing with a bit more pressure than he anticipated. And I think they liked running and then incorporating play action with Walker. You have the ability to do both and both effectively. So I think there's going to be more of an emphasis on the run game tonight, but also knowing that they're a home dog, they could see themselves in a fourth quarter situation throwing. And I think Walker is the beneficiary of, yeah, I mean, it makes a lot of sense. Look, I mean, San Francisco is pretty desperate in this game. I'd say the Seahawks aren't, but San Francisco is better than Seattle. So, um, I think you're probably right in the sense that they probably won't throw the ball. Um, and, you know, fun is also out now. He's on IR for the night or so maybe you can go in only a little bit more of a pass if you idea of what you're going to do if you're Seattle. Um, so yeah, like I think the show up probably do go to the air quite a bit. And, uh, yeah, it could have a huge impact on a Walker in the game. This is the team that the Chiefs will play after the Bible. We can say Francisco 49ers as Matt, as you mentioned, they are kind of desperate. Both teams kind of desperate. They're getting a win here on a Thursday night football match up that, uh, should be a pretty good one. You never know how the Thursday night football games go, but it's shaping up to be a pretty decent match up. All right, many. Let's get to the second, uh, second pick on your pick up card here. All right. But to the quarterback spot, uh, and a quarterback who has put himself and his team, um, in some pretty elite company for a rookie season, that's Jaden Daniels, uh, Washington on the road this week going up against Baltimore who had a monster comeback on the road against Cincinnati last week, stunning the bangles. Um, this is actually a number that Jaden Daniels has not hit the entire season, but I'm going to take him to go higher than 31 and a half passing attempts against Baltimore. A couple of reasons behind this, despite the fact that he's been really efficient that he hasn't need to throw though, hasn't needed to throw the ball a ton. But I do think that changes a little bit. This is a step up for Washington in competition this week, especially against Baltimore where they have been when it comes to yards per attempt in the rushing game. Baltimore's number one in the NFL and by a pretty good margin, 3.1, 3.1 opponent yards per rush attempt. That's best in the league. Minnesota behind them at 3.6. We're talking about a pretty sizable gap where Baltimore has had some major issues this year and you've seen it in the handful of their games is in the intermediate passing game on the deep ball, uh, and Daniels is going to be forced, I think to throw, uh, because Washington's run game other than Daniels has been okay, a little bit of Echler, a little bit of Brian Robinson. Um, but I think Baltimore is going to make him throw to beat them and given the fact that we're looking at the line at around six, six and a half, uh, this is one of those games where Daniels is going to have to throw the ball and throw the ball around the field fairly significantly to beat Baltimore. He's been great. I don't think he, I think he can continue on that trajectory just because we've seen it consistently throughout the course of the season, but I do expect a higher passing volume game, uh, in week six, this week for Jayden Daniels, give me the higher on 31.5 passing attempts. The ratings of the commanders and two best all offenses in football by like 18 different metrics. Um, I think Daniels is going to light them up like a Christmas tree in this game. If you want to watch Baltimore, tried to defend the past, well, I can't stop anybody. Like that's kind of the dirty secret about the Ravens right now. The homes lit him up, break, hold down. Like, I know the bangles lost the game. The bangles never should have lost that. Yeah. Gardener mint you who just got bench for a no cuddle lit up the Ravens. Everybody's lighting up the Ravens. The only guy I rather didn't really do it was Josh Allen. Is it? Yeah. Like everybody else has watched them. This is going to be a very high scoring game. I think people will get Baltimore historically and think, well, they're really good defensively. They're not, they're not really good defensively. Actually, they're pretty bad defensively. And I think this is going to be a game that is going to be something like 31, 28, 34, 31. So yeah, I think it's going to be a lot of passing garnish, a lot of attempts. I think Daniel says a huge day went all loose. It was a game for me that was, I kind of have my eyes on them. The Sunday when the Chiefs were playing was I was watching the commanders. I wanted to see what Jaden Daniels was doing. He's been a electric this year, took a gamble on them in my dynasty league. As I said, it was a two quarterback league and I said, I need that second quarterback. I'm going to take a gamble, trade it up to the second pick and the draft. Took Jaden Daniels, traded for Terry McLaurin. I felt like a real GM after I pulled that one off. As I got the stack there, but let's wrap it up here. What's the last pick you got for us? All right. Let's go back to the quarterback spot and go with the team that has been a bit disappointing through their first four games, but coming off of by Jalen Hurts, the Philadelphia Eagles, they are at home. This feels like the most get right of all get right spots going up against just an absolutely deflated Cleveland Browns team that has no life right now on offense. Defense, which was supposed to be probably a top five union in the NFL, has looked nowhere near that level and for the Eagles, they're likely getting two of their best wide receivers back in AJ Brown and Devontay Smith, both of them practice this week, according to the latest injury and practice reports. So I'm going to go higher than 36.5 yards for the longest completion for Jalen Hurts. Saekwam Barkley has basically kept this offense going despite a lot of ups and downs. Obviously there was that costly drop where they went for it on on fourth down turn the ball over a few weeks ago, but knowing that they're getting their two elite outside weapons back in the passing game, knowing that Barkley remains as big of a thread in the running game as there is in the NFL to then open up play action, take some deep shots down the field. We've also seen the emergence of Dallas Goddard over their last few games as well. Hurts has a really nice touch on his deep ball and Cleveland is also one of those teams that despite pretty talented corners in their secondary, there's haven't been able to stop anybody consistently. So I like Hurts to be able to get play action going, takes in deep shots, knowing that he has an elite 50/50 ball catcher in AJ Brown and someone with the speed and versatility of Devontay Smith, there's going to be some deep shots in this game and I think Hurts is the beneficiary of that as well. Well, it's valid. The brown suck. I'm on board with, they're terrible and I don't know what the higher lower is with Sean Watson. Doesn't matter. Take the lower. He stands. And it's funny too for it was like, of all the things with Watson, you always felt like there would be an opportunity for him to at least connect on one deep ball again. All those times, I think about it a little fuller, not even like DeAndre Hopkins during his Houston days. Will Fuller always had like that one 50 yard catch and maybe that would be it for the day. Just just as and translated in Cleveland wide receivers are open, he's missing him left and right. Guys aren't on the same page. It's a disaster. And I'm wondering when we'll, we'll, we'll start to see the changing of the guard despite all that money that they still owe up. Yeah. No, it's just, it's nothing. I mean, it doesn't matter. Like there, that he was, he literally plays football like he forgot to care about it. He just watched the games and there's no big or less interested in playing. Goes out, takes seven sacks, dumps it off on third and a three yard game, walks off the field. Yeah, that's fine. That was a, yeah, it's not great. No, I'm going to save the staff for literature on the show, but I think this is a good time to bring it up. I saw this on Twitter. I apologize. I can't remember who did it off top of my head who tuned out the stats that just on wants and that has more settled cases than touchdown passes in Cleveland. So that's great. That's a really great spot to be in if you are paying a quarterback that much money working has more settled, that's incredible than touchdown passes. Um, yeah, it is a tough one, but Benny, you can get all those picks on going on a boost over right now at our dog. I just hopped on the app here, a 31% profit boost right now going on until you looks like you got about nine hours more recording this to get in on that 31% profit boost. Appreciate you hopping on. Oh, it's good. Fellows. Appreciate it. Mad I think it's time. Yeah, you don't like to do it, but sometimes you have to. It's a big week this week too. I mean, we look with last week, I think the last couple of weeks we haven't put anybody down just because we were waiting to see with that we had to check the vitals of a couple of teams. And look, some weeks are going to be heavier than others. This one is going to be a pretty damn heavy week for us. This one is a week that hurts the soul. We got to lay four teams to rest. So make room in the seventh area. We start in the NFC West where the Los Angeles Rams, it is time to light out the season. The injuries have overcome them. The team had hope at the beginning of the year. No Pukanukkawa. No Cooper cop. Injuries are the defense. Arendelle retiring. Unfortunately, the Rams at one and four while still occasionally frisky, they are ready to lay there. Staying in that division, the Arizona Cardinals, it appeared at the beginning of the season ready to lay there. And now I've grabbed the blanket and I've gone down from the count as they are lowered six feet under. They cannot stop anybody and the occasions when they do stop somebody, they still end up not waiting because the offense is not shut up consistently enough. On the AFC side of things, it is time to say goodbye to the Cleveland Browns. I can't sit here and say I have a lot of sympathy for laying little rounds to rest. As Sean Watson has a contract that the Browns wish they can lay to rest, but they can. It is alive and very well, at least for one minute. The Browns are a tragedy for both the, they should have played James Winston, they should have tried to live, but instead of basically taking a shotgun blast to the face, they won and for laying there. And finally, Las Vegas Raiders, Las Vegas Raiders are going straight about to Adams. Don't know who their quarterback is. Yes, they've named Aidan O'Connell the quarterback, that doesn't mean they know who their quarterback is. Yes, they're only two and three, but they lay down like bogs against Denver. He is playing his day that they're tired and Antonio Pierce is doing the rare move of lowering himself down into the football casket as the Browns and the Raiders and the Rams and the Cardinals all being laid to rest this week. And now we have laid to rest a quarter of NFL teams through week five. As you mentioned, a quarter of the teams that joined Denver, Carolina, Tennessee and the New York football giants in the that football show graveyard for this year. The only question now is just like with any team that we laid arrested, some points like there's the hand come off like this was he like, you're not that yeah, like, but so far I feel pretty good about all eight teams that have been putting. So if Tennessee is still going to play Will Levis, that's not going to happen. No, no, it comes over like a hand all you're holding like a jar of helmet and generally. Yeah, it's great. It though it's over. It's over. And we have the way like there's a few things that are one of four out of the down. Yeah, like Jacksonville and Cincinnati, all that. It's not necessarily based on your record. It's also based on like, are you just are you terrible vibes too? Yeah. It's very like the vibes of the team, like those two, the vibes around Cleveland and Arizona and Las Vegas. Well, really all the teams we've laid dressed the vibes are terrible. We forgot one team. We don't even need to play the music for them. We're just going to lay in for rush right now. It just we slipped our mind because it did based on the count of football team. New England, just thrown over the side of the boat with some chains. Yeah. Pronto style. Okay, they're done. It's over. There's not even a reason to like play the music. There's no thing to be involved with this. They're terrible. So now we've actually laid nine to rest now because knowing everybody else, we've given a proper barrier. New England, we just wrapped up in a sheet, put some change around them like it's back home in Jersey when they dump into being the Hudson and it's just like, all right then. Good night. New England's at the bottom of the Hudson. So that is nine teams because we forgot about the patch who don't deserve to be remembered. It's all over for that. I wonder if we're going to get to a point this year where somebody with a winning record gets laid to rest. Denver might do it. Oh, yeah. We're very late. Denver to rest. What happened? Yeah. Yeah. And you know what? That's good. Okay with that. Yeah. No, it's fine. Absolutely. No, but when we laid them to rest to had a losing record, I wonder if we get to a point where somebody has a winning record, we're like, you know, we're done with them. Yeah. It might be pitch for our Cowboys. Oh, the paper could be one to like vote on those teams. I mean, it might be something you're like, yeah, I'm good. Like I don't care. You're six and three. You know, I get there. Um, yeah. It's good. It's good times. Yeah. Uh, before we rev up the show here, Matt, any, uh, any match that should get your eyes on as we, uh, as we look ahead to week, uh, six chiefs on the bi week. So people at Kansas City will have all the watching, but it's gotta be, it's gotta be the month that I'd ever suggest in the films, that game. That game is the equivalent of one life boat being left on the Titanic. And two people scrambling furiously to get the last seat. Okay. And then like, as that's happening, Rogers just shucking solo over the side, right? And just grabbing the thing, you'll hack it like a child and throwing them on the boat with him. Like it's, this is great. Uh, old brick, by the way, the, uh, interim codes already has come out and said that hack it's not called plays anymore, that they've removed them from doing that. It's going to be taught downing. Um, it's awesome said that like the best part of this game is the chaos that's involved in it. Nobody has any fucking clue what the jets are going to do in this game. Because it's so chaotic. And then there's the bills who are guaranteed to make three of the oddest coaching decisions in football this week, like there's a guaranteed, like McDermott's going to go for fourth and six on his own 20 and then punt on fourth and inches from like the jets 35. I can't wait for it to happen. Um, it's, it's the panic and the desperation that goes into this game that somehow, by the way, is for first place in the division, like that's the best part of it. Yeah. I can't wait. It's going to be great to be great football and actually might be terrible football, but it's going to be enjoyable. So I can't wait. That's the thing. It's, if it's for the memes, it's good. Uh, the Cowboys once again, have like America's game of the week on Fox. Can we please stop? Of course. Can we please stop putting the Cowboys in quasi private time and private type positions. Uh, very frustrating. The, the, the games they're competing against is Atlanta at Carolina, which is only being shown in Atlanta and Carolina, it's, it's, uh, it's a disaster. We need to stop. We the Giants were on Sunday night football, it's just my God, have we not learned yet that ratings in 2024 are tied to market size? Yeah. Has anyone like, if you play the Chiefs and the Packers on Sunday, oh, you think, like nobody's going to watch like, like, why, like did you, or the, or the bangles and the bills and when nobody's going to tune in, they're going to fuck that. Cause you know, the giants aren't involved. Right. It's crazy. Three day. Put on teams and people actually want to say, I think I saw something about like how five game NFL games watched this year and like the Chiefs were in three of them. So like, gotta go with that sense, but, uh, man, I think it's going to do it for this week's edition of that football show, appreciate, uh, appreciate you hopping on and, uh, talking to some ball. We appreciate our sponsors holiday distillery and Ben holiday, bottled and bomb bourbon underdog. We go pro check them out. Use that promo code, KCSN. We'll be back next week after the week that was in the NFL, talk about the Chiefs upcoming matchup against the ladders and obviously what happened to the national football league. So for myself, Tucker Franklin and Matt for him, we'll see you next time.
