Who has had the hardest schedule in the NFL through 5 weeks? The same team that's lost its top 2 receivers and it's starting running back to injuries already. That team also happens to be 5-0 and the two-time defending Super Bowl champion, Kansas City Chiefs. Let's talk about it. Thanks for listening to KC Sports Network proudly presented by MPRISE Bank. If you're thinking about starting a business or know someone who is, check out MPRISE Bank's SBA loans. It's always good to know your options and they can be your partner in possible. Welcome to 10 Things. I'm BJ Kissel. We've got some fun nuggets for you talking about that 26-13 win for the Chiefs over the New Orleans Saints last night. We've got to thank our sponsor Emission Taco. Join soon rebranding to session tacos more on that later, but if you're feeling tacos this week with playoff baseball, with the Chiefs doing what they're doing, go to session tacos, grab some good tacos. The guac is amazing. Tell them KCS sense that you would appreciate it. We appreciate them not just for sponsoring this show, but being a part of the KCSM Foundation with our Feed It Forward program, you can find more information on that at givebutter.com/ACSN. Now, last night for all Kansas City Sports fans was a whole lot of fun. That was a special night, this is the Golden Age of Kansas City Sports in a lot of ways with the success that the two biggest brands are having, obviously with the Chiefs doing what they're doing in the middle of this dynasty, and then the Royals making some noise like they are. My family last night, we had the split screen up on YouTube TV, watched the Royals take down the Yankees up in New York and watching the Chiefs take care of business against the Saints. It was everything that's great about sports and sharing that with our family. Hopefully everybody out there watching or listening got to experience something similar if you will happen to be a Royals fan as well. Wednesday and Thursday at the KCS should be a whole lot of fun. If you were lucky enough to experience this about a decade ago, last time the Royals made a run like this, there is something really, really special and different about playoff baseball, about being there in the moment, every pitch mattering. It's a different sport, different vibes, but the electricity that you feel, maybe just those are baseball guy growing up, that was my number one sport, and a lot of ways it still is. I love football, I love the Chiefs, but baseball is in my blood, and it's going to be a lot of fun. Hopefully my kids can have games on Wednesday and Thursday, we'd be out there. Hopefully they make to the championship series, we'll get a chance to get out there, but let's get back to the Chiefs, what they were able to do last night at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, and it was a whole lot of fun to watch again the Chiefs start to look like the Chiefs that we've come to expect, especially offensively, and it's even more special with all the injuries that they're starting to click, and not that it was perfect, and we'll get through a lot of this, but it was a step in the right direction, I think, for an offense that we've been holding to a different standard, despite the 5-0 start, we know this offense can be better, and we saw glimpses of that against the Saints, but appreciate the Chiefs communication team and the PR department for a lot of the great info in this show and their game notes, but let's get this thing started. The Chiefs start the season with the 5-0, 5-game winning streak. With Monday night's 26-13 victory over the Saints, the Chiefs have opened the season with 5 straight wins. This marks the club's 12th consecutive season with a winning streak of at least 5 games at any point during the regular season. If you've listened to this show, I do this often. I will repeat that again for effect, because these are the things, oh, it's from granted. Once the club's 12th consecutive season with a winning streak of at least 5 games at any point during the regular season, since head coach Andy reads a rival in 2013, which changed the trajectory of this city, shout out Clark Hunt for hopping on a plane flying to Philly, talked about it before, it changed the lives of so many people in the trickle-down effect of Clark Hunt getting on that plane and saying, "We're not letting you go to Arizona, we're not letting you go to San Diego to interview for those jobs, we're going to cut you off before you get there and not letting him leave that airport hanger before he agreed to become the head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs, change the trajectory of so many different lives, and honestly, including ours and my family's life with Casey Sports Network and everything that we have going on, the success of the team is absolutely a part of that and I don't get, I'm not lost upon those things and that's how I feel about it. Hopefully you all do too. Let me know if you don't, you know you would anyway. Alright, but since head coaches, since head coach Andy reads a rival in 2013, the team has had winning streaks of nine straight in 2013, five straight in 2014, and straight in 2015, five straight in 2016, five straight in 2017, five straight in 2018, six straight in 2019, and straight in 2020, eight straight in 2021, two separate five game streaks in 2022, and a six game streak in 2023, and since the merger, no other NFL team has had more than seven consecutive seasons with a five game winning streak, that again, since the merger is like 1970, or before that, long time ago, no other team has had more than seven consecutive seasons with a five game winning streak in the Annapolis, pick Manning from '03 to '09, and San Francisco from '89 to '95 with Joe Montagne. So, and Steve Young at the end of that, because Joe Montagne came to Kansas City. So, yeah, looking at the winning streak, sorry, I'm a little, I went through these notes before, but it's still hitting me how special this is, so most consecutive seasons with a five game winning streak, Chiefs have 12, which NFL record, second place, tied for second in Francisco and Indianapolis with seven, and then Miami and New England, six, so that New England Patriots dynasty that's talked about with Tom Brady, absolutely all the Super Bowls, everything from 2014 to 2019, they had six seasons with a five game winning streak within the Chiefs have doubled that under Andy Reid. Absolutely special, absolutely bonkers love nuggets like that, because it contextualizes big picture success and not over analyzing, and we all do it, it's part of being a fan, but over analyzing every little thing about every little game, it's how a lot of us fan and a lot of us follow the team and stay engaged with it, but sometimes it's important to step back and notice things like that when you talk about all that really matters is winning a game. There were a lot of Chiefs fans out there that have done it every year saying, hey, this is the reason that we're not going to win, it's special teams, it's fumbling punts, it's the offense not being there, it's injuries, whatever it is, the defense not making plays when they need to, they're getting it done and they're winning games just all that matters and we're watching the team develop as they win because as I think the motto they have internally this year is the formula, they absolutely have that formula to win football games. But so we've gone number two, and as Chiefs turn out first downs and yards, Kansas City recorded 28 first downs in Monday's game against the Saints, so 45th time the team has accomplished that feat since 1991 and it marks the first time since recording 31 first downs against the Chicago Bears back in September of last year that the offense had recorded 28 or more total first downs in a game, the Chiefs picked up 460 net yards of offense marking the first time since recording 483 yards against the Chargers last season that the Kansas City offense racked up 460 or more net yards again. First four weeks offense struggling and for good reason, you know, Rishi Rice isn't there, Hollywood Browns not there, people are banged up, obviously Isaiah Pacheco's not there as well. But it's about the next guys stepping up, every team has to go through it. No one's going to feel bad about the Chiefs having injuries or not having no one's going to feel bad about the Chiefs for anything at this point. But we've seen time and time again that coaching matters, development matters and as much as we talk about Andy Reid and just got done talking about him. Having the next guy step up, and I know it's Kareem Hunt, it's Juju Smith's juicer, guys who have been here before, so Jody Fortson got access to it, it's awesome. Quick side note, you would have looked at the box score and a handful of the guys that made plays seven weeks ago and it was like Kareem Hunt's going to have 100 yards rushing. Juju Smith's juicer's going to have 130 yards and Jody Fortson's going to catch a pass. You would have thought it was a different year. You didn't think it was 2024, but here we are. But it's special to have all those players that have to step up and be ready that they are ready to go and then they go out there and they make enough plays to help the Chiefs win games. That's special and that is a credit to not just Andy Reid but his entire staff and their ability to work together and again have that formula that it's everybody being a part of it. I was lucky enough to have the perspective now, not talking to anybody, not knowing what's going on, but I understand the way that it's set up and how they run things and it's special to understand how many more people are involved in the success of the team. That's why there's so many people celebrating, you see the rings and all the stuff for all the success. There's a lot of people making these things happen. Moving on, Mahomes move up, moves up, passing yards chart. Mahomes completed 28 of 39 passes for 331 yards in Monday's game, giving him 29,659 career passing yards. Mahomes marked his 46th career game with 300 or more passing yards. He sits atop the franchise leaderboard and has the most 300 or more passing yard games of any player since 2017, and to dig into that one a little bit deeper, Mahomes again, 46, 300 yard passing game since 2017. The second most is a tie between Tom Brady and Jared Goff at 37. So Patrick Mahomes has nine more 300 yard passing games than any other quarterback in the NFL since 2017, and then following both Tom Brady and Jared Goff is Matt Ryan and Kirk Cousins. Two of those guys are even still playing with Jared Goff and Kirk Cousins killing it 500 yards in the game last week. He's fun. I love watching Kirk Cousins. I know it's different than Mahomes, but the dude just stands in there and takes shot after shot, after shot and hangs in the pocket and just lets his ribs be exposed as he's just throwing the ball on a dime wherever he needs to. It's fun to watch and play football. And again, despite all the numbers and the fact that it was Mahomes best game so far this season, we know that there's still room for improvement because we've seen it. And again, I think it's because he's being held to a higher standard and the margin of air to beat the Chiefs is just smaller than it's ever been. They've had the hardest schedule to start the season of any team in the NFL. Put that out. Scott Casmer put that out on social media with the Chiefs, obviously starting with the Ravens, the Bengals, the Chargers, the Falcons, being better than a lot of people thought, although I, the Kirk Cousins fan and then obviously last night against a good Saints team that has had some bad luck with some tough losses, but they still a very, very good football team. But again, they're five and O with a slew of injuries and a quarterback who hasn't been as sharp as we've come to expect. But again, not perfect. Two of seven inside the red zone. It's one of those being the tip passed from a Judu Smith's Schuster, but two of seven isn't great inside the red zone, but they did go seven of fifteen on third and fourth down combined. They had a hundred yard rusher had a hundred yard receiver and an elite defense. That's enough. Making them make plays when they need to. And we know that again, a third time, I think, that they have the formula. Now the interception last night in the red zone, it wasn't Mahomes fault. Honestly, I don't really care. I'm glad that they won the game so I can celebrate the play because I love the play because Colin Saunders might be a top three player that I've ever been around that I've ever covered. And some more contact put it to be out last night, I forget to in a second, but I remember covering Colin Saunders at the Senior Bowl before the draft that year. And at that time, his significant other was pregnant, his daughter was being born, and he was down at the Senior Bowl before. I think he had flown back for the birth and then came back. And he was coming from Western Illinois, he was coming from a small school. I was familiar with him because he was a big dude that touched downs and was as athletic as any defensive tackle in any recent draft. And had a huge personality, loved talking. I remember talking about Senior Bowl and paraphrasing, so I remember the exact quote, but it was something of the effect of he was at the Senior Bowl when his significant other was in the hospital with being pregnant with his first daughter. That it was about setting his family up and that that was his chance to really show and really give his chance, give his family a chance to be in the position that he is today. So looking back on that conversation, seeing that Colin got a Super Bowl ring and he got paid, he's able to take care of his family. It's just special and I had a chance, talked to him at Senior Bowl and the Chiefs draft him, had a chance to talk to him on draft night right after he was drafted and just the genuine authenticity of him resonates and reverberates around anyone who's around him. And I shared the story on Twitter or X last night that a couple of years ago, when Colin Saunders was still with the Chiefs, we do our holiday raffle for Operation Breakthrough and we have a bunch of items with their signed items or experiences, whatever they were to give away. And Colin said that he would be happy to help with it and provide going out to lunch with the Chiefs fan that won that prize. And so the prize was lunch with Colin Saunders. It was going to be in the off-season and he wasn't able to do it during the season. That off-season he signed with the Saints and he reached out to me and said, "Hey man, I know I signed with the Saints, but when I did that I felt back because I wanted you to know that I'm still going to honor the lunch that we talked about." He goes, "I'm not in Kansas City right now, but when I come back I'll give you a heads up and if we could schedule the lunch if it's okay with the people that won to be flexible with me on that, that he would still do the lunch." And it was a few months later, nobody came back and it just shows the character. James Palmer put on Twitter last night, "He would know better than me covering the entire NFL," but he said, "That's not normal for players to come back." And I wouldn't have blamed Colin for not coming back and honoring that, not knowing if he's going to be in Kansas City. Even if he was, go back to see his teammates, see his family's brand, all those other people, but he made a point to come back and honor that commitment, which I'll never forget and is one of the reasons that I'll support guys that I know are good people beyond the football field. So watching him have that interception and then rumbling down the field was awesome. I actually thought he was going to score and it was a pretty cool example of the athleticism that a lot of us got to see him playing basketball in the locker room every day and I'm dead serious. The Chiefs had a basketball team when Colin Sonder was here, he probably would have been the point guard. He even has a nose tag only as those kinds of binks that he calls him, but yeah, love Colin Sonder's, love that play, glad the Chiefs won, but great to see him and entire Matthew and he always followed me and knows how I feel about Tyron. So I think both those guys played well last night and that was great to see and happy that the Chiefs got the win. All right, so move on to Juju Smith's Chuster, which is the 100 yard plaque. So he made the most of his opportunities in Monday's victory against the Saints, holding in seven catches for 130 yards, leading the team in receiving yards. With under two minutes to play in the first half, Schuster helped put together the final scoring drive of the half, holding in three receptions on the nine-play scoring drive. Harrison Butler was able to convert the 28 yard field goal to put the Chiefs up, 16-7 heading into intermission and the fourth quarter. Smith Schuster hauled in a 50 yard catch and run with 13-21 left that was not only as long as reception of the night, but the team's longest to set up an eventual rushing touchdown from Xavier Worthy. Smith's Chuster's 130 yard performance tied for the fourth most receiving yards in a single game in his career and are the most in a single game in his Chiefs career and marked the 15th career 100 yard game in the regular season and was his third such performance with the Chiefs, his others being 10-16-22 against the Bills and 10-23-22 at San Francisco. Now Smith's Chuster's performance last night was a perfect example of why having someone who knows the offense is more important than having necessarily the most "talented player" or a more "talented player." Obviously a layered statement, but it's rooted in truth. It was Juju's turn to step up and he did. So a lot of the talk about whether it's Devonta Adams or DeAndre Hopkins, these guys that we don't know how, and I'm sure you could look it up and you could talk to them if they get all into it, but they're not familiar with Andy Reid's offense. Not saying that they can't pick it up, not saying that they can't have packaged plays where, hey, you've got 10 plays that you understand that we can put in if the Chiefs were to make a big trade for a wide receiver. There's no way they're going to be able to understand the entire offense so your pigeon hold and how many plays they can understand or that you can run with them and then you have to find situations in which that play makes sense down in distance, hash, field, game situation, all those things. So you're limited and when you're limited with only so many guys on game days that you can have active, it just constricts what you're able to do. That's why I'm saying having someone who knows the offense is more important than having the most talented player if you're making a trade or bringing someone in in the middle of the season. So Juju was the perfect person to bring in. That's why I've said if the Chiefs are going to make trade, Demarcus Robinson makes the most sense to me. He's been here, he knows the offense and he can slide in, run all the things that the Chiefs want to run, maybe need a little bit of a refresher, but he was here long enough that he'd understand it. That's my piece with it, but I think what we saw from last night is that the Chiefs are good enough with an elite defense, Kareem Hunt running the ball 27 times, which I'll get to you right here. One cool nugget that I did not know with Kareem here, which just goes to show that the Chiefs are going to run him a lot. Let's just get into it right now. All right, number five, Kareem Hunt returns the end zone, hits the 100 yard mark. In his return to GEHA field at Arrowhead Stadium, Kareem Hunt recorded game highs with 27 carries for 102 yards and a touchdown. His 27 carries marked the third most in a single game in his career. 27 carries in his career in his second game with the Chiefs after coming back after being gone and all the things that have been documented going to Cleveland and basically being released from the Chiefs, but it marked Hunt's ninth career, 100 yard game and his first such performance since November 15, 2020, as a member of the Cleveland Browns, eight of his 900 yard performances have come with the Chiefs and he capped a 10 play 78 yard scoring drive on Kansas City's opening possession with a five yard touchdown run. It marked his first touchdown of the season, his 16th rushing touchdown as a member of the Chiefs and his 41st career rushing touchdown. Pretty surprising that during all of his time with the Browns, he only had 100 yard rushing performance, based on what these notes tell me. Back check this, but their pretty, Chiefs comms are pretty good at what they do. So that's surprising. And so is the fact that the 27 carries that he had was the third most in a single game in his career. At this point later into his career, the Chiefs are going to run him. They're going to run him and run him and run him and as hard as he runs, maybe see his head pop a few times where he just put his head down and made some collisions with the defensive backs. He runs hard, I hope he stays healthy, great to see Clyde Edwards, he'll air, get active and get back in there in case something does happen. I would be surprised with the way that Kareem Hunt runs at his age if he's not banged up at some point during the course of the season. But last night was a great step forward for the Chiefs offense and we saw what this offense could be. And I was looking at the pro football focused numbers, see if I can bring him up here real fast and just kind of talk through him. I think the Chiefs were nine of ten on play action and average over 14 and a half yards per attempt on play action passes now. I'll go back through on my three place to love video, make sure you check that out on the Chiefs YouTube channel to watch some of the plays that the Chiefs had some chunk plays in the play action department. But the fact that they carried it 27 yards and they did have some success, those safeties are coming down and the Chiefs were able to get some big passing plays because of it. But we'll talk a little bit more about the Chiefs offense. We're going to talk about the chief defense and what they were able to do against Alvin Kamara and company. But right now we are going to take a quick break and we will be right back after this. Shop Chief's tickets and more with no fees plus save big with code KCSN at tickets4less.com. Welcome back to 10 things here on Casey's sports network. I'm BJ Kissel. We appreciate you staying with us after the break and helping us pace and build and making all of this possible. Let's get back in to some of these nuggets from the Chiefs 2613 win over the New Orleans Saints last night at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. And number six Travis Kelsey has himself a day in the first half of Monday's game. Kelsey had eight receptions for 67 yards with a long of 21 yards. His eight first half receptions tied for the second highest first half catches in a single game in his career. The last time Kelsey had eight first half receptions was at Houston on October 18, 2017. Kelsey recorded nine first half receptions against the Chargers back in last year in October 22, 2023. Great career high. Kelsey went on to record nine receptions for 70 yards. The Chiefs moved to 5-0 heading into the bye week. I'm not going to spend a lot of time on this because I didn't spend a lot of time worrying about Travis. Give you the first five weeks for each of the season Travis Kelsey is just fine. He says it. I don't even hear it from me. I'm here from them, but Travis Kelsey is just fine and showed it again. When they need him to step up and make a play, he's going to step up and make a play. We've seen that time and time again. So I'm going to stop wondering if it's going to happen or questioning whether it's not going to happen anymore. I'm just going to enjoy it when it does happen because he's proven he's going to get it done. And he did. So move on to number seven. That's Xavier Worthy. He finds Pader. With 11.56 left in the fourth quarter, Xavier Worthy took a hand off from Kelsey and rumble his way for a three-yard score to put the Chiefs up 23-13, marked the second rushing touchdown of his rookie season and his fourth overall score where they added three catches for 25 yards in the victory now. One thing I remember the first rushing touchdown was in the first game of the season and he absolutely blew through the line of scrimmage. And I felt like that was the same thing that we saw for him to get into the end zone that every once in a while he puts his foot in the dirt and accelerates. When you see that like, "Oh, there's that speed. That's what you're talking about." And I saw that on that three-yard touchdown I know you all did too. That's what's special when they created them on the goal line and the Chiefs red zone overall wasn't great. But that play right there was a fun one to watch. And again, it's not the biggest dude in the world, but when you accelerate like that, use it. When you have speed like that, you use it. We saw him do it. We saw him do it in the first rushing touchdown he had in the first game and we saw him do that again there. But when he comes to Xavier Worthy, I know there's been some talk on social media about it. And social media isn't always a complete reflection of the entire fan base and how they feel. But we've all seen the few plays. I'm assuming that are watching this show. We're listening. Where Worthy was open down the field and we could have made a play and a lot of talk about my homes start to the season other than plays where it's like, "Hey, Xavier Worthy's open." And my homes has talked about missing a few of those and there were a few that were highlighted on the broadcast with Troy Echman last night. But Xavier Worthy did force the big passenger/fearance play on the '46, ended up being a 46-yard penalty earlier in the game. That was because of his speed. But a rookie wide receiver that was supposed to be surrounded by other playmakers like a Rishi Rice and Hollywood Brown. We don't know what the plan was going to be for him and how it may have changed with those injuries. Obviously, you would think you would get a few more targets, but it doesn't necessarily have to be the case. I thought Juju stepped up and made plays and I believe James Palmer had put out that expect -- this is a couple of weeks ago -- expect Juju to take on more of a role once Rishi Rice got hurt than necessarily Worthy. They're different players, different skill sets, and you don't necessarily want to rush Xavier Worthy's development. They're using a lot of different ways, obviously the goal line, the touchdown that we just talked about, using me out of the backfield, different ways in which he's lined up, different ways to get him to football. But again, the six targets in the game last night, to me, seems about right. I don't want Xavier Worthy getting 12 targets in a game with where he's at right now. If one game he has it because they have a matchup, they get it to him, sure. But consistently, six targets seem about right. A few touches with getting the ball in his hand, like on a running play, some of the ghost actions, jet sweep type stuff, some of those bubble screens you can see him finding success with. I don't necessarily think Xavier Worthy is going to see this huge bump. Because of those injuries, he's strategically going to be used and they're going to take shots with him. He's going to take top off the defense. They got to respect it all those things. But again, the six targets seem about right. So I've seen some of that talk and I just wanted to share my two cents on that for anybody who cares. All right. Let's move on. Number eight, Brian Cook steals one early. He ended New Orleans' opening drive when he intercepted Derek Carr in a pass intended for Rashid Cheed at the King and City 22 yard line with 1204 left in the first quarter. I think everybody remembers his play as I fumbled my way through this read. But it marked Cook's first interception of the 2024 season and the second of his career. Cook bolstered the chief's defense in their 2613 victory over the Saints with two solo tackles, one interception and two passes the fence. That interception was awesome. I don't know any other way to explain it. Rashidin have been touched and he was touched to be down by contact, otherwise it would have been a touchdown. Glad he wasn't out of bounds when he landed, but an incredibly athletic play going into the season. There were a lot of people that were, Brian Cook coming back from injury felt like it was one of those storylines that wasn't discussed enough with everything else that was going on with the chiefs and then all the injuries never really led to that. But Brian Cook was a fun player in college. You see him starting to get comfortable coming back from that injury and making plays like he did yesterday is an incredibly athletic play. The defenses of the reason that the chiefs are in this position is the reason that the offense doesn't have to feel so much pressure to go out there and make all kinds of plays. That's a good place to be in when you've got an elite defense, best quarterback to ever live and enough playmakers around him and know what they're doing, know where to be. We'll step up and make plays when it's their time and that's a great place to be in. This is speaking of a great place to be in. My favorite defensive player, one of my favorite defensive plays was Nick Bolton sniffing out the screen. But with under two minutes to play in the first half, Nick Bolton ensured that chiefs would head into the locker room with momentum after recording a three-yard tackle for loss on Saints running back Alvin Kamara on third down, forcing a punt. Bolton tallied 18 high 11 tackles, six of which were solo, including two tackles for loss, two quarterback pressures en route to the 26 to 13 win. Play on the screen, I think, was one of the more underrated big plays of the game. Again, when it's back and forth, it's early, kind of trading blows with the Saints. The player right there was everything that was needed in the biggest of moment and you could tell he knew exactly where to go. He beat the lineman to the spot and got there to make the play and that's exactly what you want to see from Nick Bolton and what we've come to expect from Nick Bolton. But when you look at the chief's defense as a whole, and Nick Bolton is a huge part of this, I was stuck in run defense, but through five weeks, chief's defense and if you listen to last week shows, very similar stat, but I just added Kamara to this. Through five weeks, the chief's defense has faced Derrick Henry, Zach Moss, JK Dobbins, Bijon Robinson and Alvin Kamara, as far as the starting running backs. Those five running backs combined when not playing the chiefs have combined average 5.5, excuse me, 5.45 yards per carry with 16 rushing touchdowns. Those five running backs against Steve Spagnolo, Nick Bolton and the chiefs, 2.56 yards per carry with only two rushing touchdowns. Alvin Kamara was held to 11 carries for 26 yards last night and for anybody in fantasy, he's my fantasy football running back, zero problem that he got shut out. Had like 40 yards receiving, so he did make a few plays, ended up at like 60 yards with the significantly lower as he, I believe, was like the number two fantasy scoring running back behind sake one, sake one's my other running back, not that any of you care, but running back position with my fantasy very strong, but not last night and and sake one was on by so obviously I lost, but Alvin Kamara, Bijon, JK Dobbins, Zach Moss, Derrick Henry, 5.45 yards per carry when not facing the chiefs, 2.56 yards per carry when facing the chiefs. Another one of those stats, phenomenal performance from the chiefs defense, stepped up when they needed, made all the plays, gave the offense a chance, can't say enough about spags in the defense, but Chris Jones also looking at some of these PFF grades. Chris Jones finished the game with a 93.2 grade, anybody who follows PFF grades, that's very good. He also had nine pressures, I know at one point during the broadcast, and I thought Troy Aikman and chatting out Troy Aikman a little bit because generally feel like he's been negative towards the chiefs, or a little bit more negative, especially towards Patrick Mahomes. I like he gave him his love last night, he was fair and called out some plays that he missed and talked about a few things, but in general it felt like he waxed poetic a little bit more on the homes than we've seen in the past, but at one point he was talking about how they thought Chris Jones was going to make a bigger impact, and maybe all these pressures came after that, again check out the video I'm going to do when I record it, because I've been done with this, I'm going to start the three plays, I love video, doing a little bit of watching the film, and maybe all these pressures came late, but he made a comment about his expected Chris Jones to make more of an impact, well Chris Jones had nine pressures, which in a single game is a lot, even for Chris Jones, that's a lot. She's finished with 26 pressures overall, but looking a little bit further at those PFF grades, the top five graded defensive players for the chiefs, Chris Jones, Nick Bolton, George Carloftis, Shamari Conner, and Turk Warden, and we're going to go to Turk Warden because in the third quarter is the number 10, in the third quarter Turk Warden sacks in its quarterback Derek Carr for loss of eight yards, forcing the Saints to punt on fourth and 20, this sack put Warden at eight and a half career sacks and one and a half sacks on the season, overall Warden finished with three tackles, including one for loss and a quarterback pressure to go with the sack, as I read that the fact that Turk Warden only has one and a half sacks this season is kind of surprising, just because of the amount of times that have been watching a game, and maybe just because he steps up in a big moment, Ward executes in a big moment in the way that he's supposed to, or in a big moment, all of the pressures on everyone else. Whatever the reason, it feels like Turk Warden has made plays when it's counted, so I'm a little surprised he only has one and a half sacks this season, but not sure he cares, because again, getting it done, facing another ring, but great job by him and company. Now let me bring up the Chiefs offensive grades. Top five, according to pro football focus, top five graded offensive players for the chiefs in that game last night against the Saints, Joe Tooney, McCall Hardman, Juju Smith, Schuster, Travis Kelsey and Creed Humphrey. Those guys are all at the top. I was curious what you draw on Taylor, she's got another two penalties that he is, it was a third lowest graded player for the Chiefs, and if there's anything I'd be super negative about, and everybody's talked about it for a long time, but if there's anything I'm really worried about long-term, like hurting the Chiefs in these one-score games, which, for the first time all season, Chiefs didn't win by less than one possession, or didn't win by a possession, won by more than a possession. Off you, brutal, making me talk too fast. But, Joann Taylor's penalties, it's going to come back to Biden at some point in a key moment that they might not be able to overcome, and that's the one thing that I'm kind of concerned about. The PFF grades, and the Joann Taylor is not the most penalized tackle in the NFL, he's not even the second most penalized tackle in the NFL, but he is the third most penalized tackle in the NFL, and that's behind Laramie Tunsell with Houston. He actually has 12 penalties so far from the season. Tyler Geithton, tackle for the Dallas Cowboys, has eight penalties so far this season, and then Joann Taylor is tied with Anthony Bradford of the Seattle Seahawks, he's a guard, and then Kenyon Green, who's also with the Houston Texans with seven, so the two Texans, two tackles, a lot of penalties, but yeah, Joann Taylor, not what we want to see if we're going to be super picky, hate seeing those penalties, the holding, that being said, if he's holding somebody instead of giving them a free rush at Patrick Moms to hit them, then go ahead and go ahead and hold them down, I'd rather take that penalty, then have my homes get hit more and risk any kind of an injury, kind of similar to like the Creed, I'm free, hold, they showed down the broadcast, they zoomed in and he just kind of nodding his head, you can see him get beat, and basically just like arm wrapped him with him, let the guy go, he's our running play, but just one of those plays sometimes you're just going to live with the holding call and not make it an even worse play.
