Meet Elizabeth Grabe, the Democrat running for Assembly District 51

Elizabeth Grabe is running as the Democratic candidate in Assembly District 51, one of many reconstituted districts under new maps signed into law by Governor Evers earlier this year.
A first-time candidate, Grabe says she agreed to run after being shown numbers showing that a Democrat’s odds of winning went up under the new maps. She's challenging Republican Todd Novak, who is running for his sixth term in the state assembly.
WORT and Isthmus Community Media followed Grabe on her canvassing route in Mount Horeb one Friday afternoon in mid-September. And Isthmus reporter Liam Beran sat down with her for an interview a few weeks prior.
