Time to reform family welfare policies

Two proposed bills in the state of Wisconsin intend to address the
issue of children being removed from their home, often simply because the family is poor.
It’s called “child welfare” but it’s not really helping the well-being of children. That’s the idea behind two new bipartisan bills just introduced last month by U.S. Representative Gwen Moore, Democrat from Wisconsin, and her Republican colleague from Missouri, Jason Smith.
