Assembly District 48 Candidate Goodwill Obieze Says Affordable Health Care A Priority

Wisconsin’s partisan primary is on August 13, when voters will head to the polls to narrow down the number of candidates who will appear on the ballot in November. This is the first statewide election since Governor Tony Evers signed Wisconsin’s new legislative district maps into law earlier this year. The Democratic primary for state Assembly District 48 is especially crowded; five candidates are running to represent the district, which encompasses Sun Prairie and parts of Madison’s far east side and Dodge County. Goodwill Obieze is one of those candidates. He told WORT News Producer Faye Parks yesterday that, if he’s elected in November, he would prioritize affordable health care and child care.
