Assembly District 48 Candidate Avery Renk Says Teachers Deserve Better Pay

Wisconsin’s statewide primary is next month - and voters will head to the polls to narrow down the number of candidates that will appear on the ballot in November. This is the first statewide election since Governor Evers signed Wisconsin’s new voting maps into law earlier this year. The race for state Assembly District 48 is especially crowded; five Democrats are running to represent Sun Prairie and parts of Madison’s far east side and Dodge County. Avery Renk is one of those candidates. He told WORT News Producer Faye Parks yesterday that, if elected in November, he will work to increase teachers’ pay across the state.
