Assembly District 48 Candidate Rick Rose Says His Nonpartisan Background Is An Asset

In just a few short weeks, Wisconsin voters will head to the polls for the August primary and narrow down the number of candidates to appear on the ballot in November. This is the first statewide election since Governor Tony Evers signed Wisconsin’s new voting maps into law. State Assembly District 48 now includes Sun Prairie and parts of Madison’s far east side and Dodge County. There are five Democratic candidates running for the open seat. Rick Rose, a second-term Dane County supervisor who represents Madison’s far east side, is one of those candidates. He told WORT News Producer Faye Parks today that his background in nonpartisan office would be an asset if he is elected to the state Assembly in November. Image courtesy: Rick Rose.
