This is your host Phil, and our next guest with us here today is Charlene Thredfall, based out of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, with her business called Lush Interiors. How are you doing today, Charlene? I'm great. How are you doing? Doing wonderful, and thank you for asking. So tell us a little bit more here about yourself and what you provide, what services you got going on here. Well, we're a full service boutique interior design firm based in Calgary, Alberta, as you mentioned. We offer a full suite of design services, which would include new built design. We do many, many renovations, custom millwork, bespoke furnishings, and accessories. Anything to do with your home, basically, from A to D. Got it. Okay, and how long have you been doing this all for? We've been in business now for 21 years. Oh, well congratulations on that. Thank you. Thank you. You're very welcome. So Charlene, can you give us like maybe a quick rundown here on, like when people reach out to you, like, how do you start with them, like, what's the game plan, usually? So we create like unique spaces for all of our clients, and our designs are curated specifically for each client and specified for their lifestyle. So we do extensive questionnaires with our clients, and to get a really good understanding of what their needs are for their project, and based on what their needs and requirements are, that's when we start our design process and execute on that design. All right. And so Charlene, what was it that kind of led you to this whole career path? What was your inspiration behind this? Well, I've always had a passion for design, but it wasn't until I started my family that I decided I wanted to have a career in design. I went back to school when I was in my late 30s and took my interior design course, my diploma from Mount Royal University. It was a two-year program at that time, it's now a four-year program. And I decided that I wanted to start my own business and do this more as a career, rather than just doing it for friends and family. I incorporated Lushin Terriers in 2003. It started out as a small design studio in my home. And we now work out of a studio in Calgary, as I mentioned, Calgary, Alberta. We have a team of six, and we create dream spaces for our clients every day. Well, it sounds like it worked out very well for you there. Mm-hmm. It did. All right. Excellent. So is there anything else here you want to leave our listeners with today? Anything else you think they might want to know? We're really a group of passionate women. All of our team members are women, including our project manager who runs all of our renovations. Our clients have become our friends, and they've renovated many homes and many different times over the space of 20 years. We love what we do, and we are very lucky to be able to create exceptional spaces for our clients every day. Love to hear it.
