(upbeat music) ♪ Hold eyes on me ♪ (laughing) (laughing) I know your voice that you're used to hearing, but unfortunately all of us here have had a rough week, and so me and Alonzo, we're gonna just give y'all a rundown of our best best this week. We'll get into our lock box, and I do have Fonz lock box picks from Atlanta. He's down there doing some work, shout out to him, but we'll just give y'all a rundown, give y'all the lock box, and then we're just gonna get on our normal schedule and try and get life back into all of us, 'cause we know it's been a rough one. How you feeling, Zoh? I know you're not feeling too well, but. - Yeah, no, this is the, this is my "Play and Hurt" podcast. It might be, might be my flu game, might not, I don't know, we'll see. - The injury report. You were limited in practice all week. - All right, but I'm gonna give it a go. - Heard that, heard that. Well, let's go ahead and start with the London game this week. We do have a second London game. Just had one last week with the Jets and the Vikings. We got Jacksonville in Chicago this week. Jacksonville just coming off their first win. You got that one right. Shout out to that. This is where I thought they'd get their first win, but how you feel about the Jacksonville Chicago game? 9/30, Sunday morning. - Well, also, yeah, I do want to talk about that just really quick, how I nailed that on the head. I felt like a few weeks ago, you asked me when their first win was gonna come. I told you, week five, first of coach, right before they go to London, they made, I mean, they kind of made a sweat it out a little bit. - Yup. - Oh, so they always do. - The AFC's got all things done. - It was touching go there at the end, but I still believe that they're a better team than the Colts, even though they got Colts have some players that I like. So that one was, that was a nice little feather in my cap. I like that one. - Hats off to you for that pick, hats off to you. - This week, this one, I hate London games for several reasons. They're like the worst to pick and I never bet them one, 'cause they could go any other, they could go anyway. Also, I'm not waking up at 9.30 Eastern to watch it from start to finish. I usually come around half like, I come in like, I always come into a London game. - I'll come in and play the hat. - Yeah, I come in. - I'll play the other half time. - Yeah, I usually wake up around half time. I'm not, especially 'cause it's always a trash match-up, like I'm not getting up at 9.30 to watch either one of these teams, I'm sorry. - To be fair, last week, I got up at 9.30 to watch Sammy D and the Vikings, just 'cause they're one of the hottest NFL teams right now. But this week, no, sir. - No, no, last week, I came in four minutes left in the first half. (laughing) I was mad at it, I was not. Well, like, plus, well, plus, I worked nights. So it was in, so I got to work at nights, definitely not getting up at 9.30 to watch bad match-ups. But this week, give me the over, 44-and-a-half. - Over 44-and-a-half in Jacksonville, Chicago. - Yeah, give me the over 44-and-a-half. I think that, I think, I mean, I know the Bears even is good. Trevor Lawrence is definitely gonna throw a pick, but I feel like this Jax team can put up points oddly enough in a weird way that can still find a way to put up points. And Caleb Williams is looking pretty shaky, like, we drive to drive. And I think there's gonna be a lot of opportunities. I think both teams are gonna get a lot of possessions in this game. So I'll take the over 44-and-a-half. - I like that, I do like that. My best bet for this game is gonna be Trevor Lawrence under one and a half touchdown passes, and I have a couple good reasons why. Chicago's defense is one of the best in the league. And I don't see them, I don't see Jacksonville doing very much in the passing game. I can see ETN doing a little bit, maybe getting 80 to 100 yards. But Trevor Lawrence doesn't have two passing touchdowns, or Trevor Lawrence has two passing touchdowns in his last two games, but Chicago hasn't given up a passing touchdown since week two against Houston. And so I'm just gonna ride that wave of Chicago's secondary being locked down. And I'm gonna go Trevor Lawrence under one and a half touchdown passes minus 178. And we'll just move right on into the one o'clock slate, we can go commander's grave, Jayden Daniels versus Lamar Jackson. This is one of the highlighted matchups this week. How you feel about it? - I think this game should have been flexed into the Sunday night game. - I agree, but I know they don't do flexes this early in the season. - That's which is a shame. I feel like flexes should be like should start week one, because even though I live in Cincinnati, nobody wants to have to watch Bengals Giants on Sunday night football. That is going to be like the NFL has done its fans a disservice in that point. However, however, commander's R plus six and a half. Commanders R plus six and a half. - Yeah, I'm taking the over in this one too. The commanders have been one of the top three worst defenses in the league all year. They just give it up a certain amount of points. You can score on this team. Lamar Jackson is locked in. He's been putting up insane numbers the last few weeks. And on top of that, that Raven secondary can be had. That Raven secondary has given up a lot of yardage and the Ravens have given up a lot of points. And Jane Daniels looks good. I think this one, I think it's a shootout. It's like this might be game of the week early. - This definitely has potential to be a shootout and the Ravens are coming off giving up those 38 points to Cincinnati. And so my, your best bet is the over. That's a lock box alert because that's fawns, that's one of fawns, lock box peeps is the over in this game. And, but, so my, but my best bet for this game is the commanders plus six and a half. And you should already know the reason why because I did this the last two weeks. The five and a half point underdogs are all, are covering this year. They're 16, two and one. They are covering. And I think six of them have won outright with two of them doing it last week. It was the Cardinals and the Giants, which I told y'all about those too. And so. - That's true, but also I feel like it's like. - But, but football has to football at some point and the, the season is going to have to keep them on. - And some points like that, at some point that's going to have to even out. Like I don't know if it's going to be this week, but like that trend is, it's going to eventually have to train the other way at some point. And just, I just don't know what week it's going to be. - You know what I'm saying? - Right. - I do agree that it's going to be. I agree that it's going to even itself out eventually, but like you said, quarterbacks are taking the top off this Raven secondary and Jayden Daniels is finally, he's building confidence every week and throwing the ball. And that opens up the lane for Brian Robinson. So the run game and play action might be the way to go against Baltimore this week. I don't know. - Hey, look, I mean, look, I'm not mad at it. I think, I mean, there's a, there's a world where the Redskins, where, I'm sorry, oop, sorry. - But Raven games, wow. - The commanders, cover, they come, like, there's a world where the commanders cover, but I, but like, you know what I'm saying, and still lose this game. I think, I think Raven's still win this one. Like they might cover, but I don't think it's going to be one of those ones where they win outright. Lamar Jackson has only lost two games against NFC opponents in his entire NFL career. - That's insane. - That is what, like, he lives for playing NFC teams. Like, you know what I'm saying? Like, no matter who it is, he does not lose to the NFC. So I think, I think there's a great potential for the, the commanders to cover and still lose this game. - Yeah, I think your, your over might be the way to go. You and Fine might be on to something there. - There's like, there's going to be points scored in this one. - This one's going to be fun to watch. This one's going to be fun to watch. - And our next game is probably one that's not going to be fun to watch. And that's going to be the, that's going to be the Cardinals Packers. And I'm just going to go into my best bet of this game because it's the exact same, because it's the exact same thing. It's Cardinals plus five and a half. And I'm just doing it. I'm doing it blindly. The Cardinals have a chance to tie the division lead right now with San Francisco and Seattle already having the Thursday night game and both of them being three and three. They have a chance to make it to two and three or they have a chance to make it to three and three. If they beat the Packers and the Packers haven't looked as good as they want to. I know Jordan loves being hurt. Coming back, trying to get his feet under him again. The only thing that worries me about Kyle Murray is this Call of Duty launch that he just did this week. And I don't know, the game's not actually out yet, but he might get it early. So that could be a problem, but I'm still going to roll with Cardinals plus five and a half. - You know, it's funny is that as everything I said, you brought the last one, I'm actually taking, like that was actually my pick too, was also Cardinals five and a half for all the reasons that you listed. But also, but I disagree with what you said at the beginning. I think this is going to be a fun one to watch because both of these teams are going to put up points. Again, like neither one of these defenses has been really strong, but the Cardinals are frisky. I mean, look, I mean, look, like they pulled off the win against the Niners. Last week, the Packers just have playmakers all over. Like, it was in a very young running gun team. You know what I'm saying? - It's like, what the read is real? - Yeah, I mean, look. And I like the other guy too. I like, I like Dontavia Wicks. He's, like, he just seems to be open like every other play. - Isn't number 13? - I believe he's number 13. - Yeah, he's 13, yeah. - Yeah, okay. - He just seems to be open like every other play. And then they found something in the tight end, it's like a craft. I picked him up in fantasy two weeks ago and he's been crushing it. - Yeah. - Like had two touchdowns last week, had to touch down a week before. Ever since they inserted him into the starting lineup, like, and like, they've actually been feeding him the ball. Like, this Packers team has weapons. The defense is what I'm nervous about. But because of that, I think this, I think this is going to be a very entertaining game. I think we have fun games in the one o'clock slate this week. Like red zone, I think we might, this might be a really good red zone week. This might be a really good red zone week for us. - And we love the red zone specials here on all odds on me. I can't believe we missed that field goal one last week, dog. - I've come so close to hitting that three different times. Like, like, we've been hurting me. - When I realized that it was just what it was the Rams and what the Bengals didn't kick a field goal because that missed field goal by Evan McPherson. - Yes. Yes. - Oh, that one hurt. - Yes. And then what was it week two when I missed it? - Brandon O got hurt in pregame one of us. - Yeah. And like, so like, because the Giants didn't have a backup kicker, I missed out on, was it, it was like plus 1700, I think something stupid like that. Yeah. So it's okay. I'm gonna hit that. I'm hitting that bet at least once. I'm hitting it at least one time. - It's gonna hit one time this year and this bringing us to a game that's probably gonna feature a lot of field goals. The Colts and Texans. How do you feel about that one? - What do you mean the Colts and Titans? - Or Colts and Titans, yes, I'm sorry. But the vision game. - I cannot believe, and I know the Titans are at home, but I cannot believe the Colts are not favored in this game. I'm treated. - I said the exact same thing. - I don't take, I mean, like the fact that I'm getting Colts plus money. Yeah, I'm taking, I'm taking Joe Flacco the Colts money line that's plus 130 and running with it. The Titans stink. Will Levis is not beating that game. I don't like, get him saying what, I can't believe it. They're only favored because they're at home. I swear that. That's the only reason. But anybody who's watched these two teams this year, like cannot confidently say that the Titans are winning this game. - Yeah, and like we've watched Joe Flacco come in the last two weeks and like, it's a functioning offense. There's something to say about the savory veteran that you have as a backup quarterback. There really is. - No, seriously. - I also have the Colts, but I took them plus two and a half just, I don't know. I'll probably end up taking the money line because like you said, they should be favored. The Titans defense, do you know the Titans defense is first in passing yards allowed at 140 yards a game? - That's crazy. - Yeah, but I do think Joe Flacco will come in. I know Michael, Michael Pittman got hurt last week, didn't he? But he stayed in, right? I can't remember if he was on the injury report this week. - I believe he got banged up during the game. But I think he did come back in. - I think he is playing this week. I do know they don't have Jonathan Taylor, so take that Trey Sermon touchdown, shout out Ohio State. But uh- - Yeah, look out for my boy who had captured a week last week and nobody talked about it. My boy, Alec Pierce, Cincinnati Bearcat, had captured a week last week and nobody talked about it. My man's was on the sideline, falling backwards. Tips it with one hand into his other hand and catches it one handed falling down, stayed in bounds. It's one of the sickest catches I've ever seen. Alec Pierce, Cincinnati Bearcat, look out for him. He's gonna, like he's a playmaker. He's been showing out this year and nobody's talking about it. Like look for him, like especially if Pittman is banged up, look like, look for Flacco to look for him early and often today, like this week. - Okay, okay, look for Flacco to look for Alec Pierce. Heard that. - Sir. - Now for the, now for the Texans game, they play the Patriots. It's Drake May's debut. - Disgusting. - I'm taking the under. I want under 38 and a half. I know it may be a sweat, but I think Drake May is gonna come in and he's just gonna look like a rookie. I think they're gonna run, they're gonna run the ball a lot. I don't think they're gonna come out and let him loose. Houston looks like they're turning the corner. I know they're without Nico and Joe Mason still questionable, but, I mean, please give me the under. I just think this game is gonna be a blowout. I think the Texans win this game like 28 to seven. - You know what, give me the under as well because like for all the reasons that you named Drake May is not gonna put up a lot of points. He's gonna be, he's gonna first start. He'll be trying to figure it out. But also Patriots defense is never awful. So like. - Oh my God. - You know what I'm saying? So like they're gonna get a few stops in this game, but the majority of the points that are scored are gonna be on the Texans side. Like I see the Patriots having a really hard time moving the ball against it like just in general. Drake May's still gonna be trying to figure it out. So like, I like the under in this one too. It's just this one's got this one. I don't, I don't see Red Zone switching to this game a lot. I don't see a lot a lot. - No, this is the one they obligate. They are obligated to show due to the scoring. - Yeah, but it's not gonna be a lot of big plays. And if they are, they're from the Texans. But look, I think a big Tank Dale game this week though. - Oh, that would be huge. Nathaniel Jasper. Is his actual name and he doesn't like that name. So they call him Tank. I think that's hilarious. - Nathaniel Jasper. - The only reason I know that is because before the season, I wanted to know what his real name was. And I looked it up and he's on my fantasy team. And my fantasy team name is Nathaniel Jasper Fan Club. That's the only reason I know that. He, Nathaniel Jasper sounds like a civil war general from the south. That's like a Confederate general from the civil war. Nathaniel Jasper. Yeah, I don't know. That's, that's, that's, that's, that's. - Colonel Jasper. - Yeah. - It's from a few good men. - Yeah. That's wild. - And let's just move on to our last one o'clock game. And then we'll give y'all, we'll give y'all a roundup of our 1 p.m. best bets. This is Mike. - No, we got two. - No, we got two. - Is there two left? - We've got two. We got the, we got Buck Saints and then we got Brown's Eagles. - Oh, I forgot. I put that one at the, okay. - Well, we can do, let's do the one that's more intriguing. And that's the Mike Evans and Marshawn Laddermore fight week game. Tampa, the New Orleans. Would you, how you feel about this one? - One of my locks is actually coming from this game. So I won't, I won't spoil it. So I had to back up for this one. Spencer Radler to throw an interception. I mean, look like, I mean, look like the rookie is gonna be getting his first start. Like, like against the division opponent. And you know how these NFC South games are. I just see, yeah. Like I feel, and also just knowing the player that he was in Oklahoma and then at South Carolina, like the, you know what I'm saying? The type of player that he is, he takes chances. He's a gun slinger. You know what I'm saying? Like, likes to take risk. And then I believe they're gonna be down early in this game. So there's gonna be times where he's gonna have to, like make plays and force some things. So that Spencer Radler interception is coming. It's coming, or like it's like-- - I agree. And that's why my best bet is the Bucks minus three and a half. It was gonna be one of my locks, but I changed it just because I really wanted to take the under on Mike Evans yards just because the Mike Evans and Marshawn Latimore beef is hilarious. And they make it a narrative. Every time this game pops up on the schedule. But, and we don't know, I mean, we know what Spencer Radler's gonna, Radler. Spencer Radler's gonna look like, but we don't know what he's gonna look like. I think it's gonna be one of those Drake May things. He's gonna come in. They're gonna run the ball a lot. They're gonna dump it off a lot. He's not gonna have a lot of air yards. So I don't see the offense very, this offense isn't gonna move as well as it was the past four weeks with Derek Carr throwing the ball as Spencer's bone at this week. - No, it was gonna be a heavy Alva Camara game. - Heavy AK-41 game, I agree. - Heavy Camara game. A lot of, you know, there was a lot of dinking dumps, little dump offs and a lot of runs up the middle. Yeah, like a lot of runs to the outside, a lot of that. - Take the Alva Camara rushing plus receiving yards. - Absolutely, that's my advice. And then the last one o'clock game, how do you feel about Philly and Cleveland? What do you got right there? - I wish this game wasn't a thing. That's really how I feel. - I also wish this game wasn't a thing. - I wish this game was not a thing. Um, capping this game was weird because like, once again, that spread nine and a half is insane. I think, I think, like, I think this might be the highest line of the year so far if I'm not mistaken. Like, I don't think we've seen one, this, this, like, I don't think we've seen a line this big yet. Like, equals minus nine and a half is insane. - I want to say there was a, there was maybe a 10 or a 10 and a half earlier this year, but it's very close, if not number one. I do agree with that. - 'Cause that's insanity. And it's like, I'm tempted to just take the, the Browns plus nine and a half just because that's such an absurd number, but they stink, like that's so awful. - I almost did it and that's why I didn't move. - They're so, they're so bad. Like, and the fact that Kevin Stavansky came out was like, we're not changing quarterbacks. Well, I'm like, yeah, because you pay him too much. Um, so you, so you kind of stuck with him, but also your backup is Jaymus. So, I mean, I... - Yeah, so I mean, what do you have? You have a bad quarterback here and you have a quarterback who's gonna throw touchdowns but he's gonna give the other team extra possessions too. So, what do you wanna do there? - What I wanna do is, I wanna take Eagles on an all-line minus six and a half. - And cover the touchdown. - Yeah, so yeah, so cover the touchdown minus six and a half at minus 180. - I liked that. I was gonna take the Philly Moneyline but that number was astronomical. I'm not taking the Browns plus nine. - Yeah, no, you get no value on the Moneyline for Philly, like zero. - Yeah, not at all. So, my take here is, I'm gonna take the over 42 and a half and here's why. Jaylin Hertz is supposed to get AJ Brown back this week. And I hope that builds up his confidence to let the ball go a little bit more, try and push the ball down the field. And like you said, the Browns are terrible. They're not good. So, I just want Jaylin Hertz and Philadelphia to beat Cleveland to a pulp, about 35... 35, 10? I'll take 35, 10. And then hopefully Siri on his fire by next Tuesday. But, well, I guess off a win, he wouldn't be fired. But, he's playing for his job. - 100%. - And so, what would be the four o'clock game you wanna start with? What's the most fun four o'clock game? - Well, considering there's only one fun four o'clock game, this is easy. 'Cause there's only one that's actually good. And it's Lions Cowboys. And you know, this is gonna be Game of the Week on Fox. Brady will be calling this one. - I have this labeled in my notes as the 420 Brady game. - Yeah. Yeah, Brady's gonna be calling this one. It'll be his third or fourth Cowboys game of the year. - At least his third. He got the first two, for sure. - Yeah, it'll be, yeah, like, it'll be his third or fourth Cowboys game late. But this, I mean, but this is hands down, the only game that's like up worth of note in the four o'clock window. Because, I mean, it's gonna be, there's gonna be points scored. The two fun teams, it's Dallas at home. - And it's a game Dallas has potential to lose. - Absolutely. - It's that they probably will lose. - It's a game that Dallas has potential to lose, that they need to win, really, low key. But also Lions, but like, even though, you know, I like the Lions in this one. I like the Lions in this one. Like just, it's the heads up. But I'm actually taking Lions minus three. - Oh, wow. That's the second time, but another lockbox alert, that's another lockbox picks from Fawn. - Wow. - Lions minus three. - Look at that. - Wow. - That's wild. My best bet is, yeah, I'm gonna go with the Lions minus three as well. My lock, one of my locks is from this game. So I'm gonna call an audible and also take that Lions minus three. And I'll get to my lockbox picks when we get there. - Yeah. - And let's just move on to, I guess the other two gross four o'clock games. We'll start with target Broncos. - Right. What we say? - Target Broncos. - Right. We have three games left in the four o'clock window, but yes, but they all stick. - I guess I had the times on these games wrong. - Um, charges Broncos, ugh. - Oh my God, this is just, oh. - Yeah, I had them out of order, that's on me. But yeah, charges Broncos. I'm gonna take the under 35 and a half. - Ooh. - Yeah. - But there's a reason why and it's mind blowing. I found this out while looking at this game. These are the number one and the number two defenses right now in points per game allowed. The charges are allowing 12.5 points per game and Denver's allowing 14.6. Both of these teams are offensively challenged. So the under just seems like a lock here. It's not gonna be one of my locks, but it's my best bet for this four o'clock game. - I also had the under in this game because just from what I've seen, I'm not even surprised by that stat you gave me just because of what I've seen. But also part of that is because, and part of that is because the teams that they both played, they played really bad teams too. So it's like teams that can't really score. So like, I like Denver's defense. I think the charges are just not played good teams really. But I think it's a combination of them not playing good teams and then them not being able to score on the score themselves. It's why a lot of those unders have hit in the Chargers Broncos game. So like I'm definitely going under 35 and a half 'cause this is gonna be a stinker. - This could be like eight field goal combined game. - Yeah. - And no touchdowns be scored. Actually, what's the chances of no touchdowns being scored in this game? What's the odds on that? - The odds on that are probably crazy. The odds on that are probably insane. Let me see if there's a game. Let me see if they got the game specials up for that 'cause I'm pretty sure you can bet that right now. Let me see. - Can you bet no touchdown to be scored? - It's not up yet. But I believe by the time Sunday comes around, I think that'll be up 'cause they usually have that on the game specials. - It's not up yet. - It's not up yet right now. - It's not up yet. - But then we will keep y'all postpone on that. - It was able to keep y'all holding up here. - Heard that. - So we'll both go under that one? - Definitely going under for the minus 115. I mean, the minus 110, sorry. - Minus 110. Okay, and you are right. I do have that other four o'clock game. We'll go, we'll save that. When we'll go Steelers Raiders, the Raiders are moving to Aidan O'Connell. I don't know if that moves you at all. It doesn't really for me because he's also bad. - No, he seeks to. So it doesn't matter who the Raiders have at quarterback they are just not good. And then they have to go against the Steelers defense. I think TJ Watt is gonna feast this week. - Feast. - He's gonna eat. I'm talking about big meals, big boy meals today. He eating big boy meals this week. So go ahead and give me spoiler. I mean, spoiler read this one of my locks, but just give me that Steelers Moneyline easy minus 164. I'm not even gonna think twice about it. - That goes in line with my best bet of this game. And it's gonna be the Steelers team total over 19 and a half just because I don't have faith in that Raiders defense. And I do believe, I believe Justin Fields can get us into field goal range probably nine times. And so as long as we come away with points, then I think we'll be fine. - This will be a good week to have Boswell in fantasy. - Yeah, Steelers are three and two, but they've only went over 20 points twice. But the Raiders defense is 28th in points allowed. So. - I mean, yeah, I mean, look, I'm not surprised by that Steelers stat. Like I've been saying that since the year started, if you like, at the way to beat the Steelers is if you can score more than 20 points, like that's when they struggle, you know what I'm saying? Like, like if the Steelers are forced to score more than 20 points, then that's when you have a chance of beating them. If they don't have, like they don't have to score 20 points, like 20 or more points, then they can just, they can just pin their ears back on defense and just rush to pass it all day. - Facts. And speaking of not scoring 20 points, the Carolina Panthers. - Oh my God. - Versus the Atlanta Falcons, I call this the four PM mid-off. - Oh my God. Mid-off. - I got Atlanta minus five. No really analysis here. We've all watched Carolina play football. Just Atlanta's better. - Yeah, that's pretty much when I'm at with it. I had, well what was it? I'm trying to find it in my notes. I had it a second ago. I had it later minus three and a half. I went online on it a little bit. Just 'cause NFC South games are, NFC South and the AFC South are just known for just destroying parlays. Just known for destroying parlays. Like those two divisions are so unpredictable and so ridiculous that I had just from my own sanity. 'Cause I always do a four o'clock game parlay and since there's only four games, like I'm gonna pick, I'm gonna have a pick from each game. So just to cover my ass a little bit, I took the outline. So yeah, give me Atlanta minus three and a half. - Okay, okay. Like he's been putting up numbers. Like I just really, really since week two, he's really been like, like I think he's had at least two touchdowns. And I think, he's had three touchdowns, three touchdown passes in like three of his last four games. Like against this Giants team, I think it's easy money. Like I think Burrow is gonna show out and they need this win. He likes the lions minus three against the Cowboys. I assume he knows this is, this one's going to be a shootout also probably because both of these offenses can put up points. Okay, so it's his second lockbox pick. - That's his second lockbox pick. My second one is Dak over 275 passing yards. And the reason is, so when I looked at this line, it was 276 and a half. That was his original line. I looked at it this morning, this morning at like 730 in the morning. And when I looked at it before we started recording, it was already up to 282 and a half. And so I'm going to take the 275 that I originally saw at minus 140 and that's going to be my second lockbox pick. - All right, I like it. I'm going to go steal his money line minus 164.
