The Dom Giordano Program

A Sloped Roof and Many More Questions for the Secret Service

Full Hour | Today, Dom led off the Dom Giordano Program by offering up some further analysis on the confused details coming out about Trump’s attempted assassination. Dom plays back clips from United States Secret Service Head Kimberly Cheatle, who suggests that there were no snipers on the roof that the shooter utilized because it was ‘sloped,’ and tries to argue that there wasn’t a B team protecting Trump on the day. Then, Dom welcomes Colonel Allen B. West into the Dom Giordano Program to gather his thoughts, as a lauded military expert, on the failings of the United States Secret Service during the attempt on Donald Trump’s life. First, West offers his analysis on the decision to not place a sniper on the roof that the assassin used, telling that there’s absolutely no reason for there not to be somebody posted there with the direct line of sight to Trump. Then, West wears his hat as a former Congressman, offering why he doesn’t think there’s a planned conspiracy here, but rather an abject failure by the Secret Service. Finally, West, who’s faced unfair criticism for comments taken out of context in the past, offers his thoughts on the refusal for the media to hold themselves accountable for their inflammatory rhetoric in the past.  (Photo by Jeff Swensen/Getty Images)
