The Dom Giordano Program

Biden Uses D-Day to Pin Ukraine on Republicans

Full Hour | In today’s second hour, Dom continues the Dom Giordano Program by discussing President Joe Biden’s speech yesterday in Normandy, particularly his comments centered on Ukraine and the effort by Republicans to be isolationists in the conflict. Then, Dom welcomes in Bob ‘The Hound’ Kelly of the Philadelphia Flyers’ Broad Street Bullies just ahead of their 50th anniversary celebration of their first Stanley Cup, which will play out June 15th at the Surfside Park located at 29th Street and the Beach in Avalon, New Jersey, provided by thee Avalon Free Public Library. Bob tells about the great camaraderie shared between the Flyers of the time and the fans, taking listeners on a journey through the community relationship and softball games that struck such a chord. Also, The Hound takes us back to 1976, when the Bullies’ aggressive play forced the Russians off the ice, and how the strategy used that day helped to defeat Bobby Orr’s Boston Bruins.
