The Dom Giordano Program

LIVE On Memorial Day! What The Heck Is Going On At The Shore?

Full Show | Today, Dom led off the Dom Giordano Program LIVE on Memorial Day by offering up some thoughts about the teenage violence popping up down the shore, both in Ocean City and in Wildwood. Then, Dom offers some commentary on national politics, playing back a sound bite from Joe Biden during his West Point commencement speech in which he asked the infantrymen for applause. Also, Dom and Dan have some fun on the holiday, asking listeners for some all-time great Americans. Also, Dom plays back some audio from the Libertarian convention, where Trump was booed and RFK Jr. was called on the phone to see if he’d accept the nomination. In today’s Memorial Day second hour, Dom welcomes Colonel Scott Rutter live back onto the Dom Giordano Program to highlight some great things available for Veterans and active military members. First, Dom asks Rutter about the work he’s doing with the Valor Network the teleradiology company he launched that is now employed by the Department of Defense, with many active members connecting with radiologists throughout the country for readings and diagnostics. Then, Scott and Dom reflect upon some great shared moments in show history, including a trip to Guantanamo Bay. Also, Rutter tells about TAPS, Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors, and another organization in which he sits on the board, which provides help to families of victims of tragedy. Finally, Rutter offers his expertise on the situation unfolding between Israel and Iran. Then, Dom welcomes in Ocean City Councilman-Elect Keith Hartzell, who has a lot to say after a stabbing yesterday on their world famous boardwalk.  Hartzell, who joined frequently last summer speaking out against a new edict set forth by the Murphy administration, once again explains how local police hands are tied in dealing with juveniles after the statewide edict disallowing police to address teen usage of marijuana or alcohol. Councilman Hartzell explains how this has all unfolded, explaining why not only Ocean City, but Wildwood and Atlantic City are also seeing explosions of teens on the boardwalk engaging in violent behavior, and how local leaders are working together to take on the State in hopes to change the trend.
