[MUSIC] Hello listeners, welcome to this week's five-year plan podcast, Extra! Extra! Extra! Extra! Wembley! Wembley! It's not part of it, it's a new one, no, it's not big enough to have its own number. It's not a very nice way to welcome James and I got back onto the pod. Good morning! How are you? Here's a terrifying look at the Travis's future though. It's worse looking into your past, see what you were. It's not very nice either, how it worked. Let's try and get a bit more positive. That is positive. Okay, Kevin Day, how are you? Full of hay fever, but apart from that part, thank you. I'm the same, so I know how you feel, and it's great. How are you? Good. I don't ever say you don't know how I feel again, you don't know how I feel again. No, I don't, I've been about the hay fever, not about everything, I don't know. You have a hair here, Cheship doesn't know how South London is. Look, he grew up in Eden Bridge. Oh sorry, it's basically the same thing in different part of London. So we are here. London? London? London? London? London? London? London? London? It is? It's not on the tube line. It's not on the tube line. It literally is. It's not on the tube line. It's not on the tube line. It's not on the tube line. It's not on the tube line. It's not on the tube line. It's not on the tube. It's not on the tube. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. Well, it sort of is. Yes, you're right. Greater London. Greater London. Anyway, listen. You've got proper hay up there to have hay fever. The hay fever was pretty bad. It is bad. Well, talking off Watford. Nice thing about doing. Nice. Yeah, of course, thanks. And that's why we're here today. We're going to preview that game. I thought we were just talking about the reserves game. That's not at all, Trafford. Well, we can. We can reference that. We can. Well, they're not. Let's not. I'm going to put as much effort into that as sack I did into playing at Old Trafford. Yeah. So I'm done. Well, before we do that, I need to mention our sponsors. Let me... ...make my own shoes on the red notes. Let me get the sponsors done. And then we can talk about Sunday's massive game at Wembley between Palace and Watford. We are, of course, sponsored by Vector Printing for all your printing embroidery needs. Go to vector.co.uk and Inspector Wheeler. OK. OK. And we're also sponsored by JIS, the global research and brand consultancy from South London. Visit JC-IS.com. I will. Hey! Very good. It's working. Travis does it well, but not quite with the same. Yeah. It's all about the timing. Can we just say one thing about last night's game, which is that I think... I think Pudger was obviously dupes, but I think Pudger and Van Hal had a phone call one Monday when Van Hal went on playing the reserves. I'm going to rest a few players. I'll do that as well. Yeah. Yeah. You won't be taken seriously. Really good idea. 11 in the last night. Every single one of them apart from rest with an international player. I played them more last night, full strength team. It's a total full strength team. Yeah. Do we care about... I mean, do we... Would we rather see... Would we rather make a wish team. Five people from Croydon are not very well-written in the sake of a player. Old Trafford. Well, it's better that a team reserves less than our full strength team. Yeah. We came to it unscathed. I mean, it wouldn't be one of those that you expect to get a result from anyway. There was a good seat sparrow in your back. You played very well. You saw how I made a few positive runs. And that is literally the entire match. Nothing else happened. It's kind of odd, though. We've talked about Pedro and his stubbornness and his mindset before, but to suddenly bungs Boronian. Yeah. Totally out of the blue. Having not played all season. And then... Old Trafford. Yeah. He played very well. He played really well. He played really well. He did play really well. He did play really well. He did play really well. I mean, the thing is we did come out of it relatively unscathed. I'm like Everton. I live with 37 shots on target or just shots on that. But if we could have lost that game five near last night, which wouldn't have been a good way to go into that. It wouldn't have been great, but did you know that ahead of... This is our fourth semi-final as a club. Ahead of the previous three, we'd also failed to score in the league game before the semi-final. Why don't you do that sort of research for us? On this day. Because I saw it on the BBS this morning. I'll just do it very soon. [LAUGHTER] And we changed his throat. Well, that's a good chance. Anybody could have just written anything. Didn't he lose those? So he drew with Millwall in '76. We lost to Norwich in 1990. We drew a villa in '95, and then we lost two, now to May 9, obviously, this year. So it's only literally has no bearing one way or the other? I don't know. I'll just see if I offer you the fact. If I can show you a few years ago, I don't know. Of course it is. Well, 40 years ago, we did fail to score in the match before an FA Cup semi-final. So that's basically determined. And we're going to win. We're going to win all of those. We lost two out of three of those semi-finals. Well, it's gone long. Loss, win, loss. Oh, well, obviously. Four words to yesterday. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Four by 40 years. Look at those straws over there. Stop. Just grab them. No, it's 50 years. I thought it was all so well. I don't pick up there, Frank. Can you see it? I don't know. So, Paul, did you kind of paint themselves in the recorder last night as well, when Watford quite happily said, "No, we're going to rest in players and see what the reserve is like." And Paul, did you win? No, we're not resting. We're not resting. They're all little knocks. Yeah. There's no reason what a mind is if he says, "Of course I'm not going to risk those players." But no, they've all got little knocks. It will be five. But there'll be five. But there'll be five of a sudden. So, I've got no choice but to drop these four in valuable players. Or maybe that was just this polite distract that Van Halve could be. Yeah. And it works, obviously. A treat. Oh, yeah. I bet it's a house, please. Well, I've got a mystery knock. Well, I've got a mystery knock. Well, I've got a mystery knock as well. Yeah. I want a mystery knock as well. Is it valuable? It's always serious. You don't know where it is. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Is it because sometimes players and managers get fined and they'll punish if they admit they're going to be not playing as strong as they've died? No, it's not. It's not if you rest four players. I mean, it's happened before when McCarthy got done. I mean, if you're not in a relegation struggle, then of course you probably wouldn't say that, but I think it's a bit... I think he also said today, he'd try to get an own goal in the first couple of minutes. Yeah. It's a good finish. He'd keep the pressure off there. Yeah, they went for a long time. Yeah, they went for a long time. They went for a long time. Yeah, you know, they're having trouble scoring. Yeah, but fine, they'll relax a little bit. Maybe it's just in case it goes to a penalty shootout on Sunday. Ah, good. They might won't get much shooting practice other than that. And it wasn't a very good finish. And it wasn't a very good finish. I mean, if he talks his penalty right now on Sunday at Wembley, I'll beat the lights. Yeah. Okay. You're ready, must be thinking. How's your luck? Haven't played all season. Three minutes in. We'll do that. Hold on. Okay, folks. We've done a few extras. We've done a few extras. We've done a few extras. We definitely have. We definitely have. It's been at your house. It's been at your house. They have. Anyway, what we're going to do is just like a randomly game. I'm just a bit worried about the fact that Mrs. Day just turned around and looked really suspicious and 30 then. Who's been coming around my house in the morning? We've done a few extras. And this is how we did part one. You're right. But all the people are down by then, so don't you talk. Right. Part one, we're going to talk about the FA Cup and what it means to Palace as a club. And in part two, we're going to talk about the game specifically and who you guys want to see line up. So my first question to you, Kevin, because I've actually written questions down and I've even... Good, because I wasn't listening to anybody. Who I'm going to ask them to. I've actually done research. Can I just point out to listeners at home that James and I have to tell the young people off the other night. I've been failing to engage in a conversation because they're looking at their phones all the way through the conversation. And the stats. They're doing exactly the same thing. Have you found anything interesting, don't you? I found out that the main answer has sent to 1% in possession. It's nice. But we had 29 throwings, which was good practice. I wasn't about, I was just playing candy for us. So what do your kids are out of control if you just call them? No, it wasn't Travis last week. It was Andy that was on his phone. I know, Travis was primarily well-behaved. Ooh. Okay. There's always a blend of gots in with food. Right. Okay. Right. Okay. So listen. Let's talk about a semi-final. That is why we're here this morning to do that. Okay. We're going to get nothing out of end. It's that place off now. Right. Get a lot into it. [laughter] Can we keep moving along? We should get the semi-final more often. We should do, yeah. Okay. So what, into the colour of Kevin, my question to you is, what force the semi-final was a club though, but what does it mean? What does getting into the semi-final, potentially the final, mean to a club like Crystal Palace? In a way, practically, not a lot really. It's the edge is slightly taken off it by the fact that it's a Wembley. Well, it means a day of nervous tension. But it means that a season that's been pretty rough for most of it has been sort of saved by this really good cut run because I think that people forget that we have played very well in this cut run and we've been faced apart from really with Premier League teams. It's a reward for the fans more than anything else. It's, I'm really trying hard not to get too carried away until we actually get to the final because that's, if, until, yeah, because that's the big, I mean, that's the more important one. Yeah. Well, it's still the semi-final. It feels more important because it's a Wembley, doesn't it? Yes. Well, it should be. Of course it should be. Where would it be if it wasn't at Wembley? The Emirates. It would be the Emirates. Yeah. Okay. I mean, the fact, I mean, the fact is, do you ever make, you know, I have fans are rightly upset because, of course, you need a big stadium for that semi-final. But on the other hand, they're kicking off at quarter past five in the last trades at quarter past seven. Exactly. Yeah. Well, we basically have a stadium in the northwest. They're not going to put it at a whole track. No, no, no, no. And they're not going to do it. They probably wouldn't. They probably wouldn't. No, but the fact is the two semi-finals at Wembley every year. I mean, the first time it was at Wembley, it's because it was Arsenal Tottenham and who thought there was no other way to play it. But it's become a tradition now that fans don't, bizarrely, don't want to play at Wembley because it feels like you're taking the gloss a little bit off the final. But for both Palace and Watford, it would represent a really good season if they were to get to the final because I'm not going to say it out loud. But if we don't go down and we get to the... I mean, if we won't be able to cut up. Funny if I discussed this yesterday, when I made him line at work, he was a Hibs fan. Hibs are in the final of the Scottish Cup. Hibs have never won the Scottish Cup ever in the 119 years. Wow. And he's even older than me, and he just says, "I'll cry for two days." If we actually win something physically properly, not a playoff trophy or the Kent Cup. But wouldn't we do the same, James? Are you excited as it was in 1990, or is it a bit different now? It's a bit different. It's different. Well, you were playing Liverpool for a start. And Liverpool had basically been the best team in Europe for about 10 years. Yeah. And they'd been as that season nine nil, and we were the massive underdogs. And again, I can't stress enough how exciting was just getting the car and driving to Birmingham as well. No, I never said that. No, but it was that idea. If I remember rightly, the second semifinal was on after hours. And that was three old draws. Yeah, older man. I remember listening to that on the way back. It was just an exciting day. I think it was because you're in... I love going to Wembley. It was great when we were there a couple of years ago for the Watford game, but, you know, I don't know. I'm very, very excited. Also, you have to remember this game. You have to remember the 1991 cable. There's a lot of clasants over there. Yeah. My eyes are just bleeding with a bunch of stuff and barely lifted. Don't worry, I'm back in the back. Go for it. Also, the 1990s, '75, came after a period of real bleakness for Palace really. The '80s were a rough time for Palace. Yeah. And we were just starting to realise what a good team couple had got. But are we not in the... I mean, obviously it's not been as bleak. Yeah, we were established... Well, not established, Premier League team, but it's... Again, the future could be as exciting, couldn't it, for Palace? Yes. But the thing is, as well, since the last... Even since the last semi-final, the Premier League and the FA Cup have gone in different directions in terms of priority for just about every club, really. The Premier League is the be-all and end-all for every club that's in it. And the FA Cup is a handsome bonus, and probably less so for Watford and Palace. But it's still not the priority for the season. I know there's a couple of Palace fans, near the fifth, for example, who said, "If you win the FA Cup, you've always won the FA Cup." And you could come back from the championship. But I think 99% of Palace fans wouldn't win the FA Cup if it was at the expense of going down. I wouldn't. Well, only three has got his hand up. I would. Do you know? Yeah, I'd win the FA Cup at the expense of Premier League. Probably be your 20 years younger than me in any country. Yeah. You've got a lot more of your life to go. We've got a few years left in the Premier League. I've got really used to seeing the outplayers against some of the best players in the world. Yes, but arguably, the young... The young in the championship. The FA Cup might have sort of lost its specialness for the younger generation, and I'm pointing at the two of us here. How's the loss of specialness? Well, that's my question to Andy. What do you think? Because you're quite keen to win it over. It's the oldest club competition in the world. It's something that got a lot of the generational power span to admire, into being palace fans. You know, that 1990 run and that whole team around that era. It's still the latter stage. Yeah, I get the fact that, you know, in the third round, people aren't bothered about it. And people, I don't think, were massively bothered about it other than the sort of prestige of the draw. Years ago, I think, you know, if you asked people to remember who we played in 1992 in the third round, there'd probably only be one friend of ours who'd be able to instantly name out of the top of their heads. One zero away. There we go. No, no, no, no, this one zero away. This one is the easiest, even for whatever's hardcore. It's a good one. It's a good one. So weird. This is facetious. Oh, God. The fact is that there's no fan who is a palace fan now that we're in the latter stage of the cup, who's not excited about and who hasn't tried to get the ticket to get to Wembley, and who won't be massively excited if we can make it pass what for the make it into the final. And ultimately, what goes down on the record books and in the sort of list of honours? Is it a 10th place finish in the Premier League or is it having won the oldest cup condition in the world? How does that matter? I absolutely agree. I'll tell you, I'll be a tearful wreck if we win the FA Cup. Yeah. But on the other hand, in terms of establishing our future, we have to stay in the Premier League and I wouldn't want to win the FA Cup. It's the trouble is you don't get any money out. I know it goes against all the stuff I've talked about with the actual glamour of football and the honour and the dignity and the integrity, but you don't get any money for it in the FA Cup. You don't get into Europe anymore. It'd be brilliant if we did it and I would be highly delighted and I'd be clamoring up the open top bus in the middle of the podium on a parade that we will inevitably get wrong because that's what comes to mind. We didn't even bring it off the plan. But if I had to choose between which is more important, then I would rather stay up with the FA Cup. I'd rather do both. We're going to stay up anyway. We're not. I mean, we're not going to go down. Surely. Surely. What is the percentage, Andy? You're not one percent. You're not one percent. You're not 0.02 percent now. You keep saying. Andy's mates. I don't know this kind of thing. Clever stuff. I spent men with spreadsheets and stuff. It calculates. It's 30 minutes after the final whistle last night. Two decimal places. Half an hour googling. There's statistical chances about this going. We're going down in 1981, apparently. Who's he? James, to search for you. Where is that? There's all sorts of analytics, guys, on Twitter. They do all sorts of modeling. Not that sort of modeling. Not a sort of analysis. But the actual stats modeling. And they look at the probabilities of various matches. What's our probability of winning on Sunday? Oh. It's probably about probably just over 50. 50, 50, 50. They're not all 50, 50, are they? If man, you might play, I don't know, Shrewsbury at home. Yeah, I guess you're going to be 50, 50. So, the bookies have got us favourites. I've got us favourites. There were slight favourites with all the bookies. So, Kevin, I've got a question then. Because in 1990, a lot of Palace fans, or certainly looking back, would say, well, if we'd won that, that could have been a real catalyst for the club. It's such a great young team. We could have gone on to great things. Do you think if that happened in 2016, would it be the similar situation? No, not really. No, I don't think it was the cup. I don't think it was winning the cup that was the catalyst. It was finishing third in the league, the season after. Not being allowed in Europe. And then not being allowed in Europe. And then also, Ron Nodes, for reasons, years later on, it may have been true. Didn't invest in a team that could have got that. So, I don't think, I think getting to the final was a huge boost for the club, then, in terms of our profile. I think so. But I generally don't think, if we'd won the FA Cup, we would have gone on to anything better. Because we went on to finish third in Division 1 and still our highest finish. And that was a bit on. So, it wasn't the FA Cup that was a bit on. I mean, it gives you profile. But I would argue that in the last couple of years, our exploits in the Premier League have given us international profile. Anyway, and if that keeps out, I couldn't be more pleased if we won the FA Cup. But it's wider significance, isn't that great? I think, as Kev points out, Ron, I think it's just a really good thing for the fans. I think that's the thing. If you used to be to say a fan of Wigan, that day when they won the FA Cup a few years ago, we'll live in their memories forever. But the rest of them don't really remember that. That's what it's about. I'm not sure if it was a consolation for those Wigan fans who ended up in League 1. If you asked him on a December in Scumphall, whether that coach's trip to Scumphall was balanced out by one of the FA Cup, I don't think so. Then over the span of our lives, our palette supporting life and lives, because obviously they're the same thing, you're going to get, the club is going to go up and down and up and down at some point. But how many times are you going to get to go to the FA Cup final and potentially win the FA Cup? Well, if we do get to the FA Cup final and I sit in here Kevin Day and he is singing away a vibe with me. I'm just going to go, just remember Kevin. This is not... Shall we just get to the semi-final first? There is that. Maybe we're getting to be carrying away. You're all willfully missing the point. I've said quite clearly, I would be the happiest man in the world if we were to win the FA Cup. It's just that if you were to... No one is asking me whether it's a priority. No one from the Premier League has yet to fold up. It's down to you. But I don't want to win the FA Cup, but if it costs us a place in the Premier League, it won't. Well, the stats suggested. The stats are important. Alright, final question. It's brilliant. I couldn't be happier, but it's for me that staying in the Premier League is arguably more important than winning the FA Cup. Because if we were to lose on Sunday, I'd be disappointed, but I would wish what for the best in the world. And then this time it's easy and we would have forgotten we were in the semi-final. As long as we still. Yeah. Okay, final question in part one, Andy. Would it be poetic justice for Pardew to be the man leading Palace in 26 years after that semi-final back to Wembley? Does it sort of make a sort of a nice sort of romanticism? Well, I'd say first and foremost, you probably want to look up the definition of poetic justice. Yes. I'll probably turn around with the Rose Fraser. How old are you? Romanticism, I guess. I'm the youngest one here. Would it be a romantic touch? Yes, it would. The reminded touch would be leading the way out against Manchester. You know, I'd turn in the final. Yeah, unless we were... I mean, let's be honest. Unless we were yellow and black stripes. There's some else. There's some else. No powers we will do. This is why we lost our replay in the first place. Yeah. There's some else still find a way to get a dodgy keeper in and to have Mark Hughes come back in place. I'm hoping never to win that semi-final if we are to make it through, which, you know, it's not guaranteed because Watford is still, despite their recent run, a very good scene. Of course not. Well, we will talk about Watford in the next part of this part. We're going to preview the match itself and ask you guys who you want to line up for Palace and all that. You want to win, did you say? We want to line up and all the bits around. It doesn't care about the FA Cup. Yeah, he hates the FA Cup. Right. He doesn't know why we're talking about it. Right. We're going to preview the match itself. See you in a bit. Yes, this is welcome back to this week's Five Year Plan podcast. Extra. Extra. Extra. FA Cup, semi-final special FIP Port Extra, sponsored by Vets Printing for your printing embroidery needs to go to vector.co.uk and expect with us. Okay. Okay. And JCIS, the Global Research and Brand Consultancy from South London. Visit JCIS.com. I will. I will. I will. I will. Different. Nice. Different. Okay. There's a song by Hazel O'Connor called I Will. Yeah. Which doesn't sound anything like that. Okay. Let's see. Looking up. Good. Yeah. He's still working. He's looking at shoes. Really good film called Breaking Glass. Yeah. Okay. Good. I will. Right. The trials and tribulations of young people in an urban environment. Good. Addy, they didn't have phones to look at. Still looking in the eye. Do you have a conversation or a podcast? Good. Okay. Not how expected part two to start. But that's fine. Yeah. I guess from the way they play, the way they set up, their players that we can take into this game. Bear in mind, we have already played them twice a season. And the way they do that matches, they won't give you a minute's rest. They're kind of like Bournemouth-off-the-ball in that they press really hard. They seem to have endless energy. But they're a bit more direct than a team like Bournemouth. So the likes of Gigalo and Dini, if they're still fit and playing for match against us, are going to try to make life difficult for our centre backs. And they do it themselves part particularly. And I'm sure they will do again at Wembley. So it needs a very sort of on-it performance from central midfield. I think it's great news if we can get MacArthur back for that match, just to give a little bit more energy in the centre of the park. I think, you know, Genak might be wanting to be playing just in the sort of enforcer role because they're so physical and the centre part. But you also need the mobility. And if you play sort of Genak with Ledley, this arguably less of that. So I think you're going to have to keep an eye on that. But they are vulnerable at the times, at the back. You know, they've conceded a good few penalties this season. They conceded another one again last night. We mentioned it in the pod, 177, before we got to extra how they conceded two against West Brom. West Brom conceded another one last night again against West Ham. So they do make defensive mistakes that they're, you know, liable to leak a goal or two. They've got Gomez who one minute will look either like a world-class keeper and then can make mistakes befitting of a Sunday lead keeper at times. They don't quite know which Gomez is going to come out. If he's on his game, he can sort of stop scoring all day. But if he's not, then there are some mistakes to capitalise from. But they're not a team to be taken lightly. You know, they've probably secured safety in this league earlier than us. And they've done so with some pretty decent results this season against some pretty decent teams. Well, I think Andy's here on something there. I think the one thing in our favour is they had a good result at West Brom. Well, that was because West Brom is too penalty. Since Watford in a vertical was saved to their Premier League status. The energy, the momentum has really gone out of their game and they've had a run of different poor result. The chat that Flores might be, KK Flores might be sacked. And the fact is that we, because we've been on the fringes of the relegation struggle, we've still had to have that fight in the net, that impetus in our game. And I think that might be something in our favour because it's quite clear for watching football year after year that it's hard to regain that impetus in that energy. And I think we will go into it probably slightly sharper than they will. I think if Flores isn't set, they'd be ludicrous if they did. But clearly he's been talking to other clubs because he's been linked to clubs all over Europe. But he's not going to be managing it. It's a sort of thing that can affect players. So I think the book is probably right to make us slight favourites. But I think it's going to be a low scoring game. So they are a really difficult opponent in a way. They're tough opponents, both ever to normal. It would have been... So there are similarities between that 2013 playoff final against Watford. In that we'd actually gone on a nine-game winless run before it. And then we'd just hit form. And they're all sort of snuck in. And then obviously played very well against Bryce in the year two games. So do you think James actually that maybe us having this terrible form, like Kevin says, finding a bit more form in a lot of your games, actually is kind of a perfect way to go into it? It's not just the fact we've found a bit form. It's the fact that we've had to be on our game a hundred percent in every game, because every game has been important. Whereas for Watford, it hasn't really been. Clearly they're playing as though it hasn't. I don't think we've had one player recently who's been on the top of their game. So you'd hope going into this, you'll get Wilf and Zaha. Sorry, Wilf and Zaha. Wilf and Zaha. Wilf and Zaha, yeah, absolutely. He's looking to spin himself around. That's what they call it with the club. One day Wilf turns up. One day's up. Good Wilf, that Wilf. Wilf and Balassie, you get there on the wings. I'm down that wide Wembley pitch. I think that's very obvious TV punditry. But I think we've got so much speed down those. We can't forget that. If those two are on fire and you've got the midfield, you've got to combine doing what you can do really well. You start with something. Yeah, without a doubt. And I would go a health lead in the first 20 minutes. And I'd say to Wilf and Balassie, get in the box as much as you can. Because as we're just saying about them giving away penalties, I just think we've got to go out with 20 minutes. We've got to scare them without speed and the energy. And I think we've got to do. Do you ever think I don't think the rest of me is, they will, I think we're at different ends, so presumably in different dressing rooms. I don't know. It will be in their minds. Some of their players lost to us at Wembley three years ago. And when you're looking at small percentages, that's got to play in our favour as well. I would think. Yeah. I'll be in their minds as well. They're giving away two penalties. Yes, Wilf and they are absolutely. Yeah. Two minutes away from tellers. Not only that, but their fans will bring a lot of colour, but we will be noisy if they are. They're all tiny things. It's unusual for me to go into any game optimistic, but I do think the book is the right to make a slight favourite. Do you know, we normally think of Thrive though as the underdog family. Yeah, that's my only slight concern because we do. I don't think we're struggling our favourites to suggest if I don't sort of worry. But the fact is that we shouldn't be underdogs in any game against Watford. And sometimes you have to accept that we are, you know, if we keep talking about retaining our Premier League status and being a bigger club, so you can't always, you can't thrive on it under dog status anymore. I don't want to be underdogs. I want to be, I quite like the pressure of being favourites in games that we go into. I don't mind saying that loud. We're slight favourites. I think the book is the right to make a slight favourite. It doesn't mean that we are playing a really, really difficult team who have got a good chance of beating us. What's the other interesting thing is Kev, the other interesting, I've spent a few friends recently about who may potentially be in the final. And most football fans I know are neutral to any of the four teams. One, you know, I'd power the final. Yeah, a lot. And I do think the, I do think we would be the neutral's favourite to win the game purely because of the romanticism of the repeat of 1990 and the other part you, you know, played. But, you know, it's, it's got, I don't know. I mean, hold that off of it. It's not very glamorous place. If it's a what for, it would be a repeat of the eight, four, four, one, one. I don't know. Oh, yeah, John cried. Oh, yeah, oh, yeah. Andy, I think I know the answer to this question anyway, but given that he played in midweek, would you, would you give Jules the bow at Wembley? Well, of course. Well, of course. The bow, that's a word. Would you start Jules at Wembley? Take a bow, son. I personally think I would. I think it would be, to be honest. One, one, not something that I think Paji's going to do. So, in some ways it's a little bit irrelevant. But two, I do think it's probably going to sound a bit weird coming from me. It would be a little bit harsh on Hennessy having seen him finally have two matches in a row where he's going to off beat the world. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. That's on record now. Yeah. You said that. I would love him. Give him anything else out on his podcast. Pull that out on Twitter. I like to surprise people sometimes. It would be a bit harsh on the guy when, you know, there's been a bad run of form of him for sort of two months and he's not been dropped. Suddenly when he has two half-decent matches in a row, he's going, "Oh, on your bike." Well, if everyone's fit, we know what the back five are going to be. Yeah. And then this is going to start in the old. It's going to be Swirey, Ward, Dan, and Delaney. It's simple as that. The only discussions are up front and who starts in midweek. Who would you guys go over in midfield? Well, I think he'll start. He'll be Jen and I could goodbye. We've punched him with, yeah. Yeah. And I think he'll... I just got a sneak, especially he might start with anybody else. But really? Yeah. I'd be very surprised with that. No, I just think big match, big experience. He's not pretty good in the big match, old traffic. He wasn't a big match. He's getting back to sharpness. Yeah. We can still clearly not fully fit. And I just think it'll be, you know, he's scored against what for the setless part. And I just think... I just hope that he does start with the hard, because it's a big conversation we had the other night. Your son was very interesting about Sahara as an impact player, or from start. He's worked as an impact player recently. But, you know, in a one-off game, you've got to pick your best team. You know, if I say if you're going to use him as an impact player on Sunday, you have him impacting in the first 30 minutes. Absolutely. Absolutely. Absolutely. And it's not like a league game where you think, well, a point is fine. Yeah. He's almost like a Cubs game, isn't it? It's almost like it's a game you have to win. It's a game you can win to move on. But it feels like it should be set out loud, because it's not... Yes. In case Pargy's listening. It isn't. It isn't the sort of thing where you can bring Sahara and say, okay, rescue a point that we'll be happy with. Yeah. You start with your best player. Yeah, absolutely. And they will be... Watford will be delighted. If the team sheet came round in there before Kickoff was at heart, it's not on it. Yeah. They'll be really, really happy. Freshly given the impact he's had against them in the previous game. Absolutely. Quite a bit of him going into getting in the box. Yeah. And rank giving the alternative his saco. Well, yeah. Yeah. Pargy seems to... Despite the fact Pargy keeps how he did... Sacco potatoes! Yeah. A lot of that. Nice. Well, oddly, I think Sacco is one who is better as an impact player because of his strength for his pain. So if you want another option for 15 minutes to go, I'd rather him club it up. But you've got to start with your best team. But the last year is a half, you've got to start. Okay. Prediction then, guys. James, what's your prediction for Sunday? Two and a half. Two and a half to Palace. Strong. Two and a half. Two and a half. I hate to get one of the old Palace. Okay. It's going to be close. Andy? Normally, I'd be the negative one and give a negative prediction. But given that it's going to cost me a significant amount of money if Palace make the FA Cup final for me to come back from my holiday that I've booked to see the FA Cup final, if it's going to happen in one year, it's going to happen in the year that I've booked that. So we are going to make the FA Cup final. It's written. Where's your holiday? So... Vegas. I've got two of these out there. Have you told Jed that you're coming back for the Cup final if we get the Cup final? That's not an important detail right now. Oh, you're not going over, Jed. That's not what I told him. That's correct. All right, lads, if you could... We're on all sorts of meetings, which is the score. I think we're going to win two-one after extra time. Yeah, okay. So, lads, if you could... What about you? What about you? I think it's going to be one... I think it's going to be one-nil Palace. It's going to be very close. But if you could make one bet ahead of the game, what would you bet on? If you could make one bet... Well, I always lose bets. So, I'd better opt for it to guarantee a Palace win. Okay. That happens sometimes. I would bet that we get a pedal here. That's a good shout. That's a very good shout. I bet that we get a throw-in. Okay. I don't think you're going to get very good odds for that, but... But at least I won't lose. Imagine if we didn't get a throw-in or a game. Well, we got... Oh, they've changed. They've changed the bet again, because we're not scared. We're not scared. No, we're not scared. No, we're not scared. No, we're not scared. When the spread bet first came out, you could get bets on when the first throw-in would be. Yeah. And women would take a kick off and boot it out for a throw-in. I thought it was going to be just a win. All right. Yeah. So, you got a bit on that. Okay. Anyway... Well, sure, some bookies would... (laughter) Okay. Folks, that's it. That's the end of our extra podcast. I'll leave for Sunday, so... It was worth getting off of. It did fly though. It's been over half an hour. It's been over half an hour. Well, while we're going to take a talking question... I'm going to get questions. I'm going to get questions, but I'll put it in the next three notes. (laughter) Jack, thanks very much for joining us on the extra podcast, and... Can I just say... I'll see you all on Sunday. Before we go, the copies of The Edelit, which is the study centre magazine produced by... entirely by young people, written by... And all the entities have done by kids who have come through the study centre. There's a semi-final special edition which is going to be sold... Ironically, in pubs all over the whole around the Wembley area, but not by the young people. But it's also a chance to with the signed Maxwell, but it's... It's got a lot of palace players and staffs, semi-final memories. Fantastic. It's really good. Well, get your... Definitely get a copy of that. Good luck, Kevin. Yeah, good luck, Kevin. I might do the marathon. I haven't decided yet. Yeah. I'll see how I feel. I'll get up Sunday night. If you win the BAFTA, where you do the marathon next year... I'm not going to commit to that. Come on, it's a BAFTA. I've run 46 miles with holding the BAFTA yet. After the marathon? After the marathon, yeah. I'm amazing. I might just have a bifter on Sunday. You'd be full of laughter, though, wouldn't you? Oh, yeah.
