Jesus came to earth on a mission: "to seek and to save the lost". And he has passed this mission on to all who would follow him as his disciples - his mission is also our mission! He calls us to seek the lost - and to point them to him so that they may be saved. He calls us to teach them to follow him - and join us on his mission.

If we are to do this, then we need to value people who are labelled "lost" and "sinner". We need to value them enough to go out of our way to reach out to them - and to be their friends even if some misunderstand and criticise.
