Today is to grow breast cancer awareness. A no-brah aspect that comes for breast reconstructive surgery. Yeah, for those women who have had to fight breast cancer or fighting breast cancer and had to have mastectophanes. So women, they're going brawless today to show their support form. And it's to encourage women to perform self-exams regularly. So, lady, today, it's all about you. Now, if you've had a mastectomy or in the process, you know, our prayers are sure going with you and have a good fight. To all you ladies, just make sure you do your exam and don't forget that yearly exam. That's important. I know it's not a fun topic today. You know what? Some women say that no-brah day is actually the most comfortable day of the year. All right, let's see what's going on in entertainment in October 13th. Let's back to 1957. The number one album was "Around the World in 80 Days" movie soundtrack. Jimmy Rogers had the number one song with Honeycomb. Top movie was "Jet Pilot" John Wayne, he has a jet pilot and he's supposed to escort a defecting Soviet pilot into the United States, but the Soviet pilot, he's trying to trick Wayne into getting into the USSR. All right, what happened in October the 13th, 1307, Francis, King Philip the 4th. The dude was deep, deep in debt. Now he had really no chance of getting out of it. Now there is this group of Christians called the Knights Templar. Now they had lots of money, in fact Philip owed him a lot of money. So Philip, he made up some really outrageous allegations against him, saying that they were dealing in idolatry and corruption like that and he got with the Pope, yep, was able to arrest him and then sees all their assets, but they were too sly actually, they were able to get most of their assets out so he didn't really get squat. Happy Birthday US Navy, 1775, the Continental Congress created the US Navy. Now they were all proud of themselves, they were slapping each other on back, they were pretty proud about forming that Navy, and it's kind of a buzz call when they realized they didn't have any ships. Boston won the series five games to three, yeah it was the best of nine. 1976, a cargo jet crashed in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, killed all three crew members on the jet and 97 people on the ground were killed. 2010 in Chile, 33 miners were rescued and brought to the surface one at a time today, they had all survived being trapped underground for 69 days. In 2018, the oldest human remains ever found in Poland, they got dated back to 115,000 years ago. Experts said it was a Neanderthal child who was eaten by a very large bird. Okay, who was born on October the 13th, actress Melinda Dillon, she was born in Hope, Harper and saw in 1939, I bet you know her best for playing Ralphie's mom in the movie of Christmas Carol, she was nominated for Oscars for our Close Encounters of the Third Kind and Absence of Malice, she was also in Slapshot and Harry and the Henderson, she retired from acting in 2007, now she married once for 15 years and had a son from it, Melinda she died last year, 83 years old, Paul Simon, he's 83, he was born in Newark, New Jersey in 1941, started performing with Art Garfunkel in 1956, yeah they were both still in high school, some Simon and Garfield hits, the sound of silence, Mrs. Robinson, bridge over trouble water, broke up in 1970, now even though they broke up in 1970, somehow they've sold over 100 million records, Paul at least sold 35 million solo, he had a son from his first wife, then he married actress Carrie Fisher for one year, and he married Edie Pecale in 1992 and they had three children. You ever watch reruns of the old Sanford and son, Damon Wilson, he's 78, he's born in Valdosta, Georgia in 1946, grew up in New York City, started studying out tap dancing in ballet, he was on Broadway when he was four, then he danced at the Apollo 12, then he got wounded fighting over in Vietnam, came home and played Red Fox the son Lamont Sanford in Sanferenson, now he writes Christian books and appears on Christian TV shows, got married in 1974 and they have six kids, the Red Rocker, Sammy Hagar 77 born in Salinas, California in 1947, started out with the Ben Maros, then he went solo in 1976 at some visits, "Your love is driving me crazy, three lock box, I can drive 55, heavy metal," then he was with Ben Halen from 1985 to 1996, now and Ben Halen got nominated or elected into the Rock and Roll Hall fame, yeah Sammy he got in, he was considered a third lead singer so he got to go, now we went solo after that and the dude is a serious business guy, he owns four alcohol brands and 13 restaurants, his first wife, they divorced after 26 years and had two sons, married his second wife in 1995 and they have two daughters, now Sammy he still owns that Red Ferrari drove in the music video for I Can't Drive 55, that was 14 year old little Marie Osmond, that song Paper Rose was her first song she ever released and the first song she ever had go to number one, she was born in Ogden, Utah in 1959, now she's 65 today, she was never a member of the group the Osmond, so now that was her brothers, she was the only girl, she had eight brothers, she was the second to youngest, she had really good success on the country charts in the 1980s though, best known though for teaming up with her brother Donnie, Donnie and Marie, they had their own variety TV show, made some movies, they just ended a 11 year residency in Las Vegas in 2019, Marie, maybe one of her best plans, she got happy, she won third place on dancing with the stars, she had one son from her first husband, she married her second husband for 21 years and they had seven children, after they divorced she went back and married that first husband all over again in 2011, [Music] Joey Balladonna, he sings late for the thrashmental band Anthrax, Born in Oswego, New York in 1960, so he's 64 today, joined Anthrax in 1985, there's all over 20 million albums, now that is huge for that genre of music, now they are probably most popular though for their live performances, now Joey just loves him music when he's not with Anthrax, he has a side gig, he sings and plays drums in a cover band, he has one time divorced, actress Kelly Preston, she was born in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1962, she first got known in the movie a secret admirer, then she did a space camp, twins, what a girl wants, she got married for two years and then she got engaged, Charlie Sheen, well he shot her in their arms, so she called that off, then she married John Travolta in 1991, they had two sons and one daughter, Kelly, she died in 2020 at 57 years old from breast cancer, actress Tricia Campbell, she's 56, she was born in Oklahoma City in 1968, grew up in New York, New Jersey, her first movie was Little Shop of Horrors and then school days, another 48 hours, did all those house party movies, on TV she started martin and then my wife and kids, she was married for 21 years when they divorced and they had two sons, church bells ringing in angels singing all gather 'round heaven's door, can we kiss the night of the rain, I know about this all night, hey darling if you don't wanna hear how the waters party, don't get me started." country singer Red Atkins was born in 1969 in Valdosta, Georgia, he's 55, hit big singing in the 1990s, he had the heads, that ain't my truck, she said yes, don't get me started, I break for brunettes, now he still performed son but he is currently country music's number one songwriter, he has hit and written number one songs for pretty much, it seems like everybody, I mean just some of them are Joe Nichols, Blake Shelton, Jason Aldine, Rodney Atkins, Luke Brian and on and on and on, Red, he had a son and a daughter from his first wife, that son, yeah country singer Thomas Red, married his second wife in 2017 and they have a son, actress Sasha Baron Cohen, he was born in Hammer Smith, England in 1971, he's 53, first got known playing Borat and then he was the voice of King Julian and the Madagascar movies, he's also been in Talladega Nites and the dictator Les Misérables, married actress, I love Zola Fisher in 2010, they have two daughters and one son, they just separated not too long ago.
