In today’s episode Eoin speaks with Jo Fox.

Jo is from the UK and the parent of Oliver, who was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 6 (he’s now 14). Despite going through their own difficult times with Diabetes, Jo offers some great advice for any Diabetic, or parent of a Diabetic who may be struggling.

Jo is hugely involved with The Pendsey Trust (www.thependseytrust.org), which is a charity that aims to provide access to educational scholarships and affordable insulin for Diabetics in India. Jo shares some of the inspiring success stories to date.

She is also the author of ‘Type Awesome’ (typeawesome.co.uk), which is a Type 1 Diabetes book that helps reassure other parents, and celebrates the achievements of inspiring people who are living with T1D across the world.
