Admittedly, Eoin was under the impression that Type 1 Diabetics were not eligible to fly planes, particularly commercial flights. But John changed all of that!

John has a very interesting and inspiring story, which outlines how he was a qualified pilot for over a decade, was then diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes and told he was automatically disqualified to fly a plane.

Over the next 5 years John worked endlessly to change federal aviation regulations and to prove that Diabetics are more than capable of flying safely.
