Keep being faithful with the talents and responsibilities God entrusts to you. Someone is taking notice of you.

I want you to listen to this real quick, in 1 Samuel 16 verse 22, "And Saul sent to Jesse saying, 'Let David, I pray thee, stand before me, for he has found favor in my sight.'" Listen, we are getting ready to go into the Word. Your gift is making room for you, and that's what we are going to talk about today. You're going to be blessed, get ready for the Word of God. But before we jump into the Word and talk about your gift-making room for you, let's worship God. Tell them all my life you have been faithful, and all my life you have been faithful. Thank you Lord Jesus, glory to God. And all my life you have been so, so good. Tell them with every breath, with every breath that I am able. And I will sing of the goodness of God. Come on and tell them your goodness is running after me, sing it to him. And your goodness is running after, is running after me. Come on and sing it to him, and your goodness is running after, is running after me. Tell them with my life laid down, I'm surrendered now, I give you everything. Tell them your goodness, and your goodness is running after, is running after me with my life, with my life laid down, I'm surrendered now, I give you everything, and your goodness is running after, is running after me with my life, with my life laid down, I'm surrendered now. I give you everything, glory to God. Your goodness is running after, is running after me with my life. With my life laid down, I'm surrendered now, I give you everything, your goodness is running after. Father God, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we give you praise, we give you glory, we give you honor master. Lord, me and Pastor David, we join our faith together on this morning. We lift up your wonderful people before you, Lord, who have many needs in their lives. We all have needs. Find every need in their life, God, meet every need in their life. Come through for them, somebody is at the end of their rope, somebody is dealing with sickness, divorce, death, financial loss, frustration, career issues, but you are the God of miracles, you the same yesterday, today and forever. And as we continue this series, overcoming adversity, ministry of people, in the name of Jesus Christ, we pray, amen. Good morning to you, things of the Most High God. We are continuing in our series, overcoming adversity. I am so excited to continue this series with you and remember on yesterday, we talk about David being anointed by Samuel in the midst of his brethren and the Bible says, when Samuel anointed David, the Spirit of God came on him from that day forward. And then the next verse says, "An evil spirit went and troubled King Saul." And that's what we are picking up. Now watch this, verse 14 says, "But the Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul and an evil spirit from the Lord troubled him. And Saul's servant said unto him, 'Behold, now an evil spirit from God troubled thee,' which actually meant that God allowed an evil spirit to trouble him, because when you turn your back on God and his word and obeying him, he leaves you to yourself. And when God leaves you to yourself, the devils and demons can do whatever they want. And it's not God's fault, it's yours. Saul walked away from God, God didn't walk away from him, Saul walked away from God, he walked away from obeying the Word of God, so he opened himself, he opened up himself to the demonic. It wasn't God's fault, it was his. Now watch this. So Saul's servant said, "Behold, now an evil spirit from God troubled thee. Let our Lord now command thy servants, which are befall thee, to seek out a man who is a cunning player on a harp, and it shall come to pass when the evil spirit from God is appointed that he shall play with his hand and thou shall be well." And that's what we are talking about this morning. Your gift is making room for you, glory be to God. I said your gift is making room for you, that thing that God have anointed you to do. It comes natural for you because it's a gift. You didn't do anything to earn it, you just got it, are you listening to me? Now it doesn't mean that because you have a gift and it's natural, it didn't mean that you don't have to invest in it and perfect that thing because we all can use some perfect thing in different areas. I don't care if God gave you something. You still got to perfect that thing and invest time in it and do what you can to improve. Are you listening to me? Now watch this. Tell us all over 16, "Let our Lord now command thy servants, which are befall thee, to seek out a man who is a cunning player on a harp, and it shall come to pass when the evil spirit from God is upon thee, that he shall play with his hand, and you shall be well." Now David is on the backside of the desert just playing his harp and worshiping God and singing songs like "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want." Not knowing that somebody, glory to God, somebody was taking note of him. When he was on the backside of the desert, being faithful and committed to taking care of his father's flock, David did not realize that the word was getting out there about how he worshiped God, about how God was working in his life, how the anointing was on him, how when he played other people who would walk by or in that area and hear David's music, they would go out and talk about it. So the word got out. When God gives you a genuine gift and he have anointed you, the word will get out. Are you listening to me? Verse 17 and Saul said unto his servants, "Provide me now a man that can play well, and bring him to me, my, my, my." Then answered one of the servants and said, "Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehem Knight that is cunning and playing, and a mighty valiant man, and a man of war, and prudent in matters." He is discerning, he has good judgment, and a calmly person, he's a handsome young man, and the Lord is with him. David did not even know that people were taking note of him. So when David killed that lion and he killed the bear, the word must have gone out because I mean, word got as far as some of the right-hand men of the king, and listen, this is what this guy is with, one of King Saul's advisors said to him about David, "I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehem Knight that is cunning and playing, and a mighty valiant man, mighty right there means powerful, he's a powerful valium and a man of war." Now wait a minute, this got me, this man is saying David is a man of war, and David didn't even fight Goliath yet, that means the word had gotten out, that he killed a lion and a bear. The word is getting out on somebody, "Oh, come on, come on, glory to God." I said the word is getting out about you, just stay faithful, keep your heart pure, keep your motive pure, keep it right, stay humble before God. Jesus said, "If you humble yourself under the mighty hand of God, he will exalt you and do you see that your gift is making room for you, oh, bless it be the name of Jesus. I love my Bible, my, my, my," and he said, "The Lord is with him," that's what makes the difference. He said, "The Lord is with him, the Lord is with this young man, Saul, verse 19, "Wherefore Saul send messages unto Jesse and said, 'Send me David thy son, which is with the sheep.'" Ah, that's powerful. That means they even recognize that this man was committed to taking care of his father's flock. Notice when Samuel came to Anoint David to be the next king, what did David's dad said? David said, "He is with the sheep." Isn't that amazing? David was committed, they knew his whereabouts, they knew where he was. Accountability. Accountability will get you far, are you hearing me? They knew where he was, they knew where they could find David. That means he was faithful, "Lord help me Jesus." Now watch this verse 20, "And Jesse took a nice laden with bread, and a bottle of wine and a kid, and sent them by David his son unto Saul. And David came to Saul and stood before him, and he loved him greatly, my, my, my, and he became his Amabera." A man's gift will make room for him. Proverbs 18 says, "And brings him before great man." Your gift is making room, your gift is making room, your gift is making room. Your gift is making room for you. I'm encouraging myself today. I said, "Your gift is making room for you." And Saul sent to Jesse saying, "Let David, I pray, these stand before me, for he has found favor in my sight." That man's gift took him away from the sheep for a moment, and brought him in the presence of a king. The Bible says, "See us thou a man diligent in his business, he will stand before kings and not stand before mane men. When you are committed with your gift, your gift will bring you before some of the greatest people on this planet." Now you're listening to me, listen to verse 23, "And it came to pass when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and he played with his hand. So Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him. Your gift is making room for you. Your gift, Father right now, me and Pastor Amy join our faith with your wonderful people. Anoint them, Lord, anoint them in the name of Jesus Christ, anoint them, God, used them for your glory. God, somebody let them know their gift is making room. Let them know someone have taken note of their gift and their calling, and that anointing that is on their life. Let them know, God, let them know that somebody has taken note, their labor, their faithfulness, their commitment, their determination, it's not in vain. And it's taken note in the name of Jesus Christ, somebody say, "Amen." To give in this offering right now, visit us online, shawnpinda.net/give.
