7. St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta, MC - 1991 Pro Fidelitate et Virtute Award Recipient

Started in 1986, the Pro Fidelitate et Virtue Award is conferred each year at the Institute on Religious Life’s National Meeting to someone who has been outstanding in the support and promotion of authentic religious life. Today's episode is honoring our 1991 award recipient, St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta, who founded the Missionaries of Charity. Mother Teresa not only helped the poorest of the poor all around the world, but she also helped other communities and religious navigate such a turbulent time for religious life in the Church. Today's episode is a recording of a talk that she gave at our 1976 National Meeting titled, "The Meaning of a Sister's Vocation Today". Our very own Fr. John Hardon, introduces her in this talk and facilitates the Q&A afterwards. We hope you enjoy!
