welcome to the professional podcast network where brilliance meets business elevate your brand and supercharge your revenue with inspiring insights and innovation hello everyone and welcome back to the show today I'm talking to Robert Lunti who is the owner of the vocalist studio based in Seattle Washington how are you doing today Robert doing great great so why don't you tell me a little bit more about yourself and your business well this business is a vocal training school that specializes in helping singers and voice coaches learn how to train to build the motor skills and the strength of their voices for singing and how long how long have you been doing this for I was about been singing and training and studying voice and techniques to expand range and power that sort of thing since I was 15 years old I'm 53 now a professional voice coach about 30 years yep and what inspired you to pursue this as a career that's a great question I am a kid from the 80s so to speak and I always just loved the way some of those metal those male metal voices would get way up beyond the pepajoe and into the head voice and found heroic specifically singers such as Steve Perry Rob Howard from Judas priest Bruce Dickinson from Iron Maiden probably more than anybody Jeff Tate from Queens Reich Jeff Tate and I both had the same voice coach so this high head voice operatic metal approach was something that fascinated me so I hunkered down and dedicated my life to figuring out how to do that for myself and for my students very cool so do you specialize in a certain style of music or do you teach all genres I teach all genres because all genres require the skill set and the strength and motor skills that we train in the technique so that is to say that when you're training at the vocalist studio with me you're not really focusing so much on styles of singing there's a little bit of that that goes on but you're focusing on workouts this is like a P90X for the voice so specific scales and tricks and things that we do with the voice to improve vocal fold closure improve the range for high-screening and that sort of thing so it's you know I mean that that sort of stuff is can be applied to different styles of course or they they are blind items that might characterize the style but it's that style of training it's physical training for the voice and is there any services or details about your business that you'd like to share with our listeners today but sure go to the vocalist studio that's T-H-E V-O-C-A-L-I-F-T studio S-T-U-D-I-O one-finger the vocalist studio comm and it's all there it's all there nine courses in five languages best selling book the techniques these are video-based courses where students can purchase these courses and they'll see me there on camera demonstrating the workouts teaching in the methodology teaching them the workouts and if you commit to it about 30 to 90 days you will experience radical changes in your voice and by the way it's really good for public speaking as well interesting do you teach all age groups no I've found that if I go below 14 it's a way to time the techniques that that my program really requires training and and and study you're gonna read the book you got to practice you gotta we got a practice and young kids not all but most are not going to put in the time in the effort to to practice and make it worth their while so you got to have a certain level of maturity and commitment to want to do it all right is there any other contact info you want to share or is that all they're welcome to email me at Robert at the vocalist studio comm or you know don't be shy you can give me phone call 425-444-5053 and leave a voice no okay well thanks for talking with us today well sure thanks for the call and the opportunity and a lot of fun appreciate all right we'll take care and to the rest of our listeners we'll be right back after this break welcome to the professional podcast network where brilliance meets business elevate your brand and supercharge your revenue with inspiring insights and innovation
