Hello, everyone, and welcome back to the show. My name is Matt, and today I'm talking with Dina Cales, who is the owner of the Top Shop in New York, New York. How are you doing today, Dina? Hi, good morning. How are you? I'm doing great. I'm doing good. So why don't you tell me more about yourself and your business? Sure, so we specialize in non-surgical hair replacement, which is the modern day to pay, I guess, which we call hair systems. I only deal strictly with men suffering from hair loss, and we started out in 2019 with a few customers, and we've seen the business growing the last almost six years exponentially. So typically what we do is somebody will come in, and we have a consultation with them, and once we have a consultation with them, then we determine during that time frame, we determine their hair loss pattern, we determine their color, we determine their density, and then this way we can match their own hair with the stock hair pieces that are available. Once we determine all those factors, we create a second appointment, which is for the installation, and basically they come in, we make a template of their hair loss pattern, and then we use that template to cut out a stock piece that we've matched to their own hair, and we apply it with a various message. Typically, we work with tape, but we do have some clients that use adhesives, and we apply that on their head, and usually the process is, you know, we cut it in, they're good to go, they come back every three to four weeks for upkeep, which upkeep entails taking the hair system off, cleaning it, giving their own hair a haircut, and reapplying that piece. Each hair system lasts about three to four months. I tell people anticipate getting about three to four pieces a year, and that's pretty much the cycle for most of the customers. So, what inspired you to go into this line of work? So, I was a hairdresser for about nine years, and I honestly just entered an advertisement with the New York Times that it was a hair restoration clinic that was looking for a hairdresser. I had never heard of non-turgical hair replacement, I had no idea what it was, I didn't even know it was something that people did, so I answered the ad, and it was just figuring out all the details of creating something that looks natural really piqued my interest, and I've been doing it for almost 20 years now, and I just had my 20-year anniversary in the beginning of October, actually, that I've been strictly specializing in non-turgical hair restoration.
