My name is Matt, and today I'm talking with Donna Rodriguez, who is the owner of Hair Restoration, she's the owner of HRS Hair Rehabilitation Studio located in Chester, New Jersey. How are you doing today, Donna? I'm great. Just a little, it's Hair Replication Studio. Okay. Sorry about that. No worries. So, how long have you been in this business? So, I've been in the hair business for over 30 years, and I have been doing Hair Replication for 10 years. So what inspired you to go into this line of work? So, being that I've been in the hair business for over 30 years, I always had clients, male and female, but especially male, asking what I would suggest for them with their hair loss. And I never felt like there was really a solution worth recommending. The topical treatments had very little hair growth effects. It would stop them from losing any more hair, but the problem would be if they stopped using it, their hair would go back to the condition it was before they started. So that was like a lifelong commitment. Nobody wanted that. Transplant was very, very expensive, and most men made an average of three to four transplants to take care of their hair loss needs, it's a surgery, so there was just nothing. And then over 10 years ago, this scalp micropigmentation was going on in Europe, and it was up and rising in the States. So I went and got trained doing it, and it has just been an ideal alternative for people with hair loss. So, for someone who's looking into this for the first time, how do you walk them through the process and explain to them what exactly it is? Yeah, so usually an informed client is always our best client, and most of them have done some research, but regardless, we do walk them through, we have them come in, we show them before and afters of our work, we look at what their needs are, and it depends, there are some clients who have longer hair, but it's just thinning, and they're doing comovers and things like that, and we're able to let them know we're able to add these microdots at pigment into their scalp to give them a fuller appearance of hair. There's other men who have a lot more hair loss, who save their heads, and what we're able to do is we're able to go in and put these microdots of pigment into their scalp and give them the appearance of a full head of shaved hair, and even restore their hair line. And with women as well, women who are like parting their hair, and their part is just looking a little bit wider than they would like it to, again, we put that pigment in, so what we're able to do is give the appearance of the hair follicles that they have lost. So is there any services or information about your business that you'd like our listeners to know today? Well, I guess there's a few things I'm going to say about 90% of our clients have already been transplant clients, and the majority of them have said they wish they knew of this before they ever even got the transplant. So I would suggest, and I always do that anybody I talk to, whether they've had a transplant or are considering a transplant, to definitely come in and see what their options are with us. And again, scalp micropigmentation is much more affordable than a transplant. Transplants, of course, the surgeons can never even guarantee once they transplant those follicles that they will even take. With scalp micropigmentation, it is 100% guarantee. It is a very organic and natural look. There is no recovery time, and it's maintenance-free. And the other great thing is a lot of clients are like, am I going to come in one day and look one way, and then leave, and go to work the next day and look like I've got all this ridiculous hair. Not at all. It's a very, very natural and organic process, and our clients have just been thrilled with it. And once we're done with treatments, like I said, there's no maintenance. It's not like the hair club for men where they have to come back every four to six weeks. Once we're done, we're done. We do get clients that like to come in every year for a little touch-up to keep it looking sharp. It's only about 30% of our clients that come in for the touch-up.
