[Music] Good morning and welcome in to the Captain Jhood Morning Show. On ESPN 1000. And streaming on the ESPN Chicago app. What's David Kaplan, Jonathan Hood with you? My buddy, Mark Newman, the chef, who a bunch of us know very well up at Greenwood. Hello, Newman. He's the best burger in the world. He said, dude, we have Kyle Orton, so we had Jim Miller, like, think about some of the names that we cast our lot with every Sunday. And now we've got this. It's not close. Let's see more. It's not close now. Let's see more. It's only fair. We've seen the Drags. We got the list in front of us. It's been bad. You know, up in Green Bay, they're already going, oh, God. They might actually have the guy. Could be that. I think we do, actually. Yes. We do. Now it's about winning. All right, it's time for Shadow No-Shout. We're going to hear from Albert Breyer coming up at 835. Shadow No-Shout with Shay Norley. Good morning, boys. How are we feeling on a Tuesday? Good morning to you, Shay. I think all the cult members out there think and they're like, oh, God. How could I have ever had such an idiotic take trade the pick? You know what? They're feeling good with a cup of coffee this morning, because the Steelers are a winning team. And Justin's part of it. Here's Shay Norley. Yeah, 145 yards passing, boy. That was eye-popping. I'm just-- You don't need to lamb-bast him either. I'm not. I just-- all these flip-floppers out there, and they all know who they are. And Lord knows. I've had my sheer dolphin moments. Lord knows. But this isn't egregious, Will. They got to wear it. They do. But they're high-stepping this morning, Shay Norley. The designer and all of them got to wear it. Hey, the more he played, it's better for us. Absolutely. So. Rooting for it. Oh, Justin. All of them out there. They all got to wear it. They got it. But they're happy. They win, too. Don't you see? Not really. Yes, they do win. What do you mean? How do they win? Because field is winning. We get a fourth round draft pick as long as that guy keeps winning. When you have a Ben Rothenberger on his podcast, keep playing fields. But I'd just like to be the guy that woke up with-- and it's Michael Jordan. He's not very good. I wouldn't draft him. I'd take a big man. And then 30 years later, he's all not only the greatest basketball player, he's the greatest athlete in our lifetime. And you off there said he couldn't play, or you wouldn't take him. Jordan? There were people that did not want to draft a guard. Well, yeah. It was a big man sport then. Mark Eaton was laughing, belly laughing at the Bulls. Right. I remember seeing that press as like, I don't know why they get this two guard. Like the two guard was like a dwarf in the league. I mean, there's all these idiots out there that went, yeah, I would trade the pick. Yeah. Yeah. You will have to live with yourself. But the field's fan feels good. The field fan feels like justified because the Steelers are winning. And I feel good about Justin as well, because we're going to get that fourth round pick. Absolutely. We'll see. I think they're going to Wilson's. They're going to Wilson's. They are not. No. Ben Rothensberger said, no. Shay, did you see that? That clip on social media? It's all whatever Ben says. Go to the team, yes, yeah, no, man, you should root for that. By the way, there's a marathoner just across the finish line. Prior to him. I'm sticking with it. Across the street. He still got the like the number on right past the Walgreens only took him three days. See what's going on here by the Walgreens. He just finished. Holy smokes. They took the barriers down, sir. It's over. It took you 48 hours. He's going back to Chicago at the end or not. He just finished. Hey, man, who's that me running the marathon? Tie me with a sundive. That's tick tootiveness. It's buddy. All right, Shay. All right. The bears we've talked about have had a little bit of a lucky streak with the timing of playing their recent opponents. The Panthers were down a bunch of defensive players, basically all of their talented defensive players when they came to Soldier Field. We talked about getting the jags at a focal point in their season where they might quit on their head coach and did they ever? Well now you get the commanders after the bi-week and the luck streak continues because the commanders are fearing Jonathan Allen will miss the remainder of the season with a peck injury. That means a defense that already ranks among the worst in the league is now going to be missing its best player when they play the bears after the bi-week. Shot or no shot, the bears are going to be Washington. Well, it's absolutely a shot. There's a shot for them to do that. I'm telling you we are. It's a shot. Let me evaluate. Let's see what we all think as we get closer to the game, man. Washington also with a buy coming into the Bears game because they take on the Panthers on Sunday. Wow. Better not lose to the Panthers. Just saying. It's right there. It's losing against the Ravens. That was an interesting test for Washington to take on the Ravens. Where's the Panther game? It's in Virginia. Virginia. So I believe that the Bears will beat Washington because that's my hope because I want the narrative changed. My narrative is one thing, your narrative is one thing but the idea that the Bears made a mistake through six games and that they should have Jane Daniels over Caleb Williams. I hope the Bears beat their ass and then that will be the end of that for a while. That's silly. That is absolutely silly. Well, if they do beat Washington, their next two opponents are Arizona and New England. Two teams that I imagine the Bears would be favored over in both scenarios even with the Arizona game being in the desert shot or no shot. When the Bears host the Packers in a month, they're going to be seven and two. That's a no shot. Yeah, I'm going to say no shot. There's going to be a loss somewhere whether that's Washington. They're going to lose a game where you're like, "How do they lose that game?" Seven and two. Now let's think about it now. And we feel like the Bears could be Washington. In Phoenix, it's going to be a pro Bears crowd. Yup. Like 75% Bears because you probably have friends and I know I got family that's going to Phoenix to Glendale to see the Bears beat the Cardinals at least try to. But then it's the Patriots who are just putrid. Even though I'm a Drake May guy, they're just not ready for the infrastructure around Drake May. I think he can be something. I'll hold on to that, Shay, like out of the draft, I really like Drake May, but I don't think they're ready yet. So seven and two. I feel like six and three is more realistic, but you know me. I'm going to just get to want to know each game week. So you lost against the Cardinals. I'm not saying that. I don't know. Well, I mean, it's got to be one of the three. They could lose to Washington. Good. What is it now? Are the commander's favorite, Shay? Don't have a point spread on that yet. I was checking this morning. Nothing yet. Without Jonathan Allen and with how good this Bears defenses, I do think there's a chance the Bears are short road favorites there. I don't. Maybe when it closes, but I don't think the opening line may be surprised if it but the opening line is going to be what? Bears plus one and a half. That sounds right. This matchup predicted until you anything on ESPN. It's not accurate. It's got Washington 52% of the so that that's a pick on basically because the line in both at minus 110. So I would say that there's you know what seven and two cap. There's a shot there when you think about it, but you got to get past Washington first. So this says that you can bet it on DraftKings right now. I can. The best odds available today for Chicago is on DraftKings, Chicago minus two. What I say and Washington plus two and a half at Caesars is the best you'll find there. I mean, it's what we talked about yesterday. The Bears for the last three weeks are top 10 in both offense and defense and Washington grade on offense. Their defense is horrible. I want some. My brother and I were talking about I would like someone to tell me what they were looking at all weekend when the line moved from bears two and a half over the Jags to the bears getting one and a half. Like what were people looking at? I don't know. I think it was probably the defensive injuries for the bears and the fact that the Jags had been there done that and the bears were going over to London with a rookie quarterback would be my guest. He talked to a friend of mine who this is what he does for a living and he said Evan Ingram was a big factor being back in the game. So the sharp money was coming in on Jacksonville and Ingram delivered. So Ingram delivered. It was great. You did a fine game. Yeah. Excellent game. Except he kept turning the ball over and shooting himself in the foot with penalties. Yeah. They looked like the old bears. Yeah. Jacksonville. We kept hearing. Holding. That's number twenty eight five yard penalty automatic. First up. What? That's good when the team helps you. Yes. If you're struggling offensively or if you're sputtering, that's struggling. But if you're sputtering a little bit, penalties will help. Just throw it up. You'll never know what happens. Yeah. So. So. All right, Shay. What else do we have, sir? All right. The NFC North landscape has seemingly changed with the Lions losing their best offensive player in Aidan Hutchinson likely for the season. I mean, be stunning. It becomes back at any point. He broke his leg. He accounted for half of their sacks and a third of their total pressures. You've basically lost 40% of your defensive productivity in one player for the rest of the season. It totally changes the look of their defense, which was already middle of the pack to bottom third. Now is probably just actively bad shot or no shot. The Vikings are now officially the team to beat in the NFC North. That's no shot. Still the Lions for me. Yeah. I agree. I still think it's the line. And by the way, you're looking for some football. I know that usually in this spot with a bye week, you tell your significant other. Yes. Whatever you like to do, hun, Bed Bath and Beyond, Home Depot, Apple Picking, Bed Bath and Beyond out of business. How about a little Home Depot and maybe a container store? I don't know if we're going to have enough time. But maybe those two would be great in a hood household. Container store? You? Perfect. You like the food prep? You could get your little containers. I think if you sign up for the text messages, you get the 30% off. I think it's perfect for you. Perfect. Maybe do it Saturday too. George is probably not playing. Take that. All right, let's bath and beyond is still online. What I was going to say, but again, how we do it around here, what I was going to say is that if you're looking for football in a non-bears Sunday, Vikings and Lions at noon is going to be great because that will tell a great story about what you're asking about for a shot or no shot. That's what I was going to say. Vikings Lions. Where's that game at? Detroit. It's in Minnesota. Minnesota. That'll be an interesting ballgame. It's got to be a better match up too. Go ahead, Shay. Go ahead. Vikings 2 and 1/2. It's only the NFC North. It's only the question he asked about the Lions and what's happening with the Vikings, but there's must be a better game. But isn't there a massive Chiefs game? I don't know. I don't know. Who did the Chiefs play? It's a huge one. It's like the game. The Niners in San Francisco. That's the game. That's the game. I'll take that one. That's the game. That's the game. Go ahead, Shay. Yeah, it's only the best division in football, two best teams in the best division in football. I get it. It's amazing. Go ahead. Anyway, Lonzo Ball will return to the floor tomorrow for the Chicago Bulls for the first time in nearly two full calendar years. I've been reading about this all morning. A lot of people talking about the expectations for this team and how they can change with Lonzo Ball back. The last time we saw him, the Bulls were the number one seed in the Eastern Conference. So shot or no shot. The return of Lonzo Ball changes expectations for the Bulls. Yes, from ninth to eighth place. Wow. And by the way, it's three full years. Oh, man. 2020, 2014, 2022. They were number one when he went down. Bad math on my part. I know, wasn't it December they were the number one seed? That's correct, sir. And then a month later, he was done. He said three operations on his left knee last played January 14, 2022. I mean, how does that change expect? You're the basketball wizard on the Bulls. You do the NBA stuff. I don't see how it changes that he hadn't played in almost three years. What are we expecting? Cap, I'm with you, but I'm telling you, if you just read like Google, Lonzo Ball and go to the news tab and there's a lot of this shifts expectations, this could change the look of the team. You have an explosive point guard, and I'm like, he's kind of reconstructed me and hasn't played in three seasons. You know, it's funny is that when you ask people nationally around the league about Lonzo ball, they believe that he can recapture the magic that he had with New Orleans or with the Lakers. And that's like, and also the narrative has always been the Bulls would be much better if Lonzo ball would have been healthy the entire time. And I would just tell people like, no, that's not the case. Now, here's the thing about Lonzo ball. It's going to be interesting for Billy to be able to work giddy and ball to long guards to initiate offense. How do they differ? I think that, um, see, I haven't seen ball in the wild. Is it a shooter? Is it ball? I think it's ball. It is ball. It's ball. And so you have an opportunity to do it. There's a commercial right now. I'm going to write down the time and see, cause you said it's not at the same time. 816. 816. The bionic. It's called bionicfloodlight.com sales. Get on them. Cause we've talked about them enough. I bought them. Cause hoodie told me to buy them two days in a row. I wrote down the phone number and ended up going online and buying them crazy, crazy man. So then you. So I think that Josh Giddy is someone that can distribute the basketball well and make others better. You can't. I just want to see what it's, what the dynamic is like with Levine without the ball in his hands. I don't think he's a better rebounder than a Lonzo ball. I'm not the injured Lonzo just Lonzo at his prime. I have to look back at the old tapes cap cause we haven't seen him in almost three years. And I don't know what ball we're getting here. It's really insane. And if he does pull this off, it will speak to the miracle of modern medicine. I just want to see what it looks like. I want to see what it's like when Levine is off the ball, the lion's share of the time and how that works. It's a catching shooter cause he likes the ball in his hands too. Okay. How nervous is he going to be or is he like, I'm playing on house money. I'm not nervous at all. He's cool. Lonzo ball. Yeah. I think he's just cool with it. I think he's the guy that comes off the bench. I think they like Giddy first, but then you've got white and Levine off the ball. And ultimately my whole, my whole bull's world is a development of Patrick Williams. Yes. Agreed. That's my whole world. And Kobe for me taking the next step cause he was really good last year. Now to how much does white get the ball? Would Levine playing off the ball? Yeah. Nice year. Last year. Get out of the way kid. Wow. We're going to find out. We'll see. Is Lonzo. Lonzo ball. Or a Lucio ball. The chocolate sin is just off the disassembly line over that all over her face. We're going to find out cap and don't forget IO to sumo. So you have talent. Is it top eight talent? Probably not. We got around the NFL. Don't be surprised if that is coming up next Alberbright eight 35 cap and J hood weekday morning seven to 10. Follow Chicago's home for sports on Twitch at ESPN 1000 Chicago. Kevin J hood are back on Chicago's home for sports. ESPN Chicago. It both sucks. He sucks. I'm just a fan. I'm not a football evaluator. I love the green bay package. The guy is from. But there he goes. This is not Detroit man. This is the Super Bowl. It's really thickly built guy. I mean, what's the answer you're looking for on these things here? It's time to go around the NFL right here on cap and J hood like to remind you that our YouTube and switch video streaming is brought to you by. That'll be Verizon fly away sweepstakes. Go to ESPN Chicago contest.com for entry and eligibility. Start from me and see that over the top of the monitor, you're six, four and I'm five, nine, and I'm like, walk around the side. Oh, there it is. Right here on W m v p W T B C H D two Chicago, the bottom here, the bottom of the screen. Around the NFL. Here's Shay Norley. Stop shaking your head. We're having fun here, so don't shake your head. All right, we'll interview intervening in your time. Go ahead. Don't be surprised if Jared Goff becomes the legitimate MVP candidate after putting together arguably the best statistical two game stint ever. Are you ready for this last two games from Jared Goff 36 of 43 for six hundred seven yards, five touchdowns, zero interceptions averaging north of 14 yards per attempt and he has more 30 plus yard passes than he has in completions while scoring 40 plus and back to back games. Now the Lions have lost their best defensive player and if they overcome that with their high flying offense, it'll be Jared Goff getting the credit come award season. That's real, Shay. That's real. I know that he doesn't sparkle and shine like these other quarterbacks. He's not on first take. There's no controversy around the Lions and that regard is like the team coming apart or just Jared Goff's never talked about. He just performs cap. He's a stud. He's really, really good. And I'm sure when the phone rang in his, whatever they say he lived, Marina Del Rey. His Del Rey, Marina Del Rey home. Yeah. This is Sean McVay. This is Les Sneed. He traded you. Oh God. Where am I going? Detroit. What? Wow. You go for Marina Del Rey to Detroit? Good luck to you. And he's embraced it and now he's their guy. So yeah, super cool. I think that that's fair, Shay. Don't be surprised if what Jared Goff would not surprise me. He just performs. He got the game ball. Finally, Campbell remembered, hey, I'm going to write this down guys. He gets the game ball. And he deserved it with a 47 to nine victory against the Cowboys as the Lions clown the Cowboys in the fourth quarter. Let's do hook and ladder plays now. Wow. They're having fun. That play was super cool and well run, man. Shay. Don't be surprised if the Texans clinched the AFC South well before Christmas. They already have a two game lead in the division look far and away like the best team in the South, which stinks. The Colts in second place at three and three without any real QB stability and the Titans and Jags both drowning in the deep end of the pool. Texans are going to run away with this. The Texans are going to run away with the AFC South. Yeah, probably. I mean, look, we got the best quarterback. That kid's a stud. He has not missed a beat. So I will concur with you. Do I think they're winning this Super Bowl? I don't. No, he's telling you about the semi. Look at the South. It sits. They lost Nico Collins on the IR list with a hamstring injury. That's no joke. Hope when we get Kyler Gordon back sooner rather than later from that. Texans are good. I don't think they're winning the Super Bowl Joe Flacko or Anthony Richardson. You had your choice this year. Flacko was able to lead them to victory against the Titans last Sunday. What is the end game there? Are you trying to develop a guy you took fourth overall just a year ago? Are you trying to be a middling team and win eight nine ball games? That's the question. You're trying to get to the playoffs and you have your quarterback in place. It's supposed to be Richardson. It has to be Richardson if you're asking like just if you take a kid fourth overall and you're basically going to redshirt him two straight years, you basically have to move on. That's your he was hurt. No, I get it, but it doesn't change the fact like the reason you don't play doesn't change the fact you're going to get into your third year of development as a fourth overall pick and have not played basically. Is he going to go for Trey Lance? Is he healthy for next week? I think so. You see, it sounded like he was very close to playing last week. I think he'll be healthy this week. That would have set football back about a hundred years. We'll love us against Anthony Richardson. This would have would have been the matchup. It wasn't for Joe Flakos. This is horrible. But you didn't take Willevis fourth overall. You took Anthony Richardson number four. You're right. I just I'm the guy that just does not believe in in that and his ability. Just don't believe that he's going to be the guy, you know, like Alex Brown, he was the best QB in the draft, maybe just not with the Colts. I think that's fair. Just not with the Colts. Not right now. Three and three though. Oh, Anthony Richardson has been named the starter for Sunday, unless he has a setback. Physical setback. All right, Jay, don't be surprised if the two and four Bengals mess around and make the playoffs ready for their next three games at Cleveland, where they will face a quarterback who has been the worst in the entire league despite playing exclusively against bad past defenses. After Cleveland, their home against the Eagles, whose head coach just had to apologize for fighting with fans after an ugly win over Cleveland, and then their home against the Raiders who are up bleak Greek without a paddle. I think the Bengals get back to five and four. And I think they fight their way to the playoffs. So I want to go back to something you've said in there. Ariane had to apologize to the fan base for arguing with a fan. Yeah. Why? I had no problem with what he did. If they said something that was so out of bounds that he was ticked off, all they said was my problem was him having his little kid on his knee during his press conference. He behaved and cap. He behaved like a loser. All they said was fire Nick because the team is not good enough. And it's Philly gives to it. How dare you? He behaved like a loser. What about when coach Dick has said, that's your IQ, buddy, jerk, get your mouth shut. And he went at him and everyone went, that's our guy. What did coach Dick have that Nick Sirianni doesn't have? He won a super ball. There you go. Sirianni coached in one. Yeah, Sirianni had a team fully quit on him last year, somehow kept his job despite needing to replace all of his assistants and the team this year is underperforming. And you're in Philadelphia. Get used to it. I watched Nick Castellanos get cheered by Philly's fans for not swinging at a slider low and away and then mouth while laughing these effing people during the NLDs. He gets it at least. He's not turning around and going FU after he hits a home run. Yeah, I had no problem with Sirianni yelled and he should not have apologized and he should have gone to the podium. I'm not apologizing. He definitely shouldn't have brought his kids up there like me. That's what I said, that was a dusty move and I couldn't stand when he did that because he knew he was going to get tough questions and he had daring up their play with his little cars, right? Yeah, I would still ask a tough question despite the kid being there. I got to do my job. I don't care if you got that kid as a meat shield or not. Do you feel like your job is in jeopardy? Dusty, cute kid. Is your job in jeopardy? Or if you're Jason Leisure? Dusty, have you been fired yet? Yeah, pretty much. Pretty much. I think that the reason why that he apologized guys is because ownership told them to. I do. Okay, that's different. I do. Because I think that he felt he did the right thing by firing back at the Eagles fans. You can do that. Fine. But I believe that's a PR thing like, hey, we're having a kind of a topsy-turvy season. We don't need you doing that. You don't need to do that. You want to get energy? Win games. You don't need energy by firing at the fans. They got talent on that team. Yeah. Can you squeeze in one more before I have a prayer? You want the Falcons or the Cowboys? Cowboys. Don't be surprised if the Cowboys forget about a playoff window, finished with a losing record. This is not a Dak Prescott take. This is not even a Mike McCarthy take. This is a Dan Quinn take. Their defense without Dan Quinn isn't just bad. It sucks. They're 27th in defensive efficiency this year. Jacob Parsons is hurt and not one player on that defense is playing as good or better than they were when Dan Quinn was there. I think that defense is in big trouble. When is Mike expected back? It was concussion, right? I would think this week or next week he'd be back. Like a buy and then at the 49ers. Oh, let's buy this week. So we'll be back for their next game. At the 49ers, at the Falcons against the Eagles. Will he play the next game or will he be a bear by them? And that is our look around the NFL, right here on Captain Jay. Can he play the offensive line? Mike Parsons. They be both. Coming up, Albert Brier with the latest on the Bears in the NFL, Captain Jay Hood week day morning, seven to 10. Follow Chicago's home for sports on Twitter at ESPN 1000. Cap and Jay Hood are back on ESPN Chicago, Chicago's home for sports. Hello. Welcome on ESPN 1000. Hello, Bert. Albert Brier. Hey, Bert, senior NFL writer for SI.com joins Cap and Jay Hood. Bert's it? What? You're it, Bert. On ESPN 1000. What do you mean I'm it? We see, that's the game. I just tag you and you're it until you tag somebody else. Albert Brier. No, no, I'm not playing a game. I'm reading it and I'm not fit. Okay. On Chicago's home for sports. What bird is it? Albert Brier with us every Tuesday at this time right here on the Cap and Jay Hood Morning Show and Albert is on the hotline. Carx, Tyran, not a hotline, John. Rattle, rattle, thunder, batter, boom, boom, boom. Also. Don't worry. Call the car at sleep. Good morning, Albert. How are you? Good. How you guys doing? We're awesome, Albert. We're Ford too, baby. And we've got that dude at quarterback at all the national pundits like Chris Canty and Michael Irvin starting to look a little foolish, Albert. Damn. Well, I would argue that it's always foolish to be issuing sweeping referendums on a rookie quarterback's play in September of his first year. That's just my feeling on it. I've seen a lot of those things go both ways, you know, where a guy looks great, you know, out of the gate as a rookie and winds up not being very good and a guy who looks a guy not being very good winds up being great. So, you know, I think I was pretty consistent with this two guys. I think I've sort of told you guys it was done to make those sorts of judgments that early, right? Yes, you did. Yeah. So you were all over it. So points for me, I guess. Yes. Big time. Big time. So overall, I mean, you're in a great position right now into the by. What are your thoughts on the way the Bears have played because the next game is the commanders and everyone's waiting for Jane Daniels against Caleb Williams. Yeah. I think the best thing about it, guys, is that, you know, they've shown they can win different ways and they've shown they can run the ball at the under a suspect. They've shown they can play a defense, which isn't just this year, but now is going back over a longer period of time to last year. You know, it's just it's a good football team right now. And that's why I think their approach with Caleb was so interesting because this isn't year one for Ryan Polls and Matt Ibur fluis is year three. And I have been having that kind of football team allowed for them. And I think like I think I might use this analogy with you guys last week. I almost view what they've done is like Peyton Manning, what they're called in 1998. Like that doesn't mean he's going to be Peyton Manning, but I think the approach has been similar to the approach the Colts took with Peyton Manning where, you know, in the back then Jim Moore, Bill Polian, Bruce Arians, those guys took that approach with the approach with Peyton where this guy is a confident enough kid who's had enough success that he's going to be able to take his lumps and he's going to learn more by us just letting him go out there and play, right? And I think that was the approach with Caleb. It was if he throws three interceptions in a game, it's not going to wreck him mentally. You know, and it's going to, and in all likelihood, it'll wind up being good for him in a long run. So, you know, like we've seen the training wheels approach, we've seen the meet them half way approach where you're putting in college concepts. I think that's part of what they're doing with Jay Daniels in Washington. And I think the approach with, you know, with the Chicago taking with Caleb is a little bit more like, let's just let him go play, let's just let him go run the offense in. And we believe that it's going to pay off in time, and it seems like that's starting to come around to them. Albert, in terms of what happened with Aiden Hutchinson, we're November five right around the corner bears out of by week, do you think Detroit's going out looking at Miles Garrett, Micah Parsons, just get any kind of big name rush edge, and do you think we're going to see more action or a typical deadline league wide? I think it's going to be normal. I mean, there could be some big names out there. I mean, you can call on Micah Parsons and Miles Garrett. I can't imagine those two would be available, but I mean, who knows, you know, it like sometimes these things can surprise you. I think one of the things interesting about the precision Detroit is in is they aren't the only team that needs cash rush help. You know, Baltimore, for example, another contender that could use another pass rusher. So there are teams out there that need edge rush help, and I think that's going to make for some competition for those guys that are available. I think, you know, the Jets could wind up getting something pretty interesting for her son, right, I think, you know, so that's, I think, like, where the pass rush market goes, I think it's going to be driven by there being a lot of demand and a lot of suitors out there for top guys. This Jets outfit is just, it's unbelievable. That game was so sloppy yesterday, Albert, with the Bills of Fiend, the Jets 23-20. The amount of flags. Oh, my God. That's not what the league wants. You don't want that many flags, but as far as on the Jets side of things, what does it say? No more Robert Salah. Yeah, an opportunity to win that game, you fall short. So what's the Jets future with Rogers? You know, I think the best way to put it is there's a lot going on there right now. It's a really, I guess, weird situation is the best way to put it, right? Like where you've got an interim coach, you have the his son, right situation, you get the Devante, the Adams thing hanging over them. They're trying to fix a lot of things at once, and they just change leadership. And presumably, they just change leadership based on the whims of the owner, you know, where I don't think anybody in that locker room can stop playing for Robert Salah. I don't think anybody in that staff was disillusioned with the direction of the team. It was just the owner making a unilateral decision because he didn't like where the team was playing over a two-week period. So like where does this go from here? I think the challenge in front of Jeff Albrecht, who is qualified, is a big one. You know, and I think this is always kind of the, this is always the downside of doing what you did when you did it was, all right, so you're coming out of the game in London. You're two and three, you're still in it. You've got a game for first place in the division on Monday night. If you lose that game, what lever do you have left to pull? And I think that's sort of where the jets are now. And that's why I wouldn't be surprised if an Adams trait does wind up happening here pretty soon. In terms of the owner's meetings that you're at, any big news expected out of these are just ho-hum. Well, I mean, I think Tom Brady's going to be pushed through with the part owner of the Raiders. The percentages of that, it's roughly 5% going to Brady, roughly 5% going to his business partner, Tom Wagner, and then 0.5% going to Richard Seymour, which is interesting. You know, now will that affect the way the Raiders do business in a short term? Maybe not. I certainly could see Brady becoming more involved on the business side or on the football side for them. So that's one thing. You know, I think there'll be some talk about like some of about about kickoff and what's happened there. And I'm missing one that just because there's a lot going on right now, Scott. What am I? What am I missing? There's one that-- Is there expansion talk? No? No, there's not expansion talk. There was something that I'm just not thinking of right now because I'm brain dead after traveling yesterday. Brady, the Brady thing would be the big box topic that everybody's looking at. Albert as always. We appreciate the time. Sorry. Thanks, guys. See you. Albert. Guy. Albert. Breer. I'm the car. It's tired. And I don't know how. Rattle, rattle, thunder, bladder, boom, boom, boom, boom. We talk and boom. Don't really call the car. It's now. Hmm. What else is going on in those meetings? Stadium financing. Bears? How's anybody? Specifically, the Jaguars $1.4 billion stadium renovation project, how it's being financed. They're going to also plan to award the hosting rights for another Super Bowl and discussion about the timing of the trade deadline. Oh, and the other big one is private equity, allowing private equity to invest. George spoke on that in London and said, "We have to know more about how it would be utilized, but he's not looking to take on investors at this time." Understood. But maybe if they need more money to get their stadium deal done, that's when you do that. That's what Tom Ricketts did. Shotgun. No. Next order of business. No. You're a billionaire. You pay for it. Next. Next. You're terrible. Wow. You play your games in the UK anyway. Doesn't matter. Next. Crazy. Seriously. Fair. How about the bear stadium? Yes. One of those items is part of that. The stadium, but it does not list the bears on that agenda that I just pulled up. It was specifically about the jags. Well, no. That's quick. You're terrible. Sean? Yes. He's on like a zoom from London. Yes. Still here. Yes. He's trying to get his agenda through and they're not talking to him. You're muted. You're muted. Sorry, Sean. Next. No one cares about your passes to not allow him public financing. Next. Wait. Turn my mic on. No, Sean. Terrible outfit. Jacksonville. We've got snore palm today, huh? Snore palm is at 935. I'm good forward to that. He's sweating over it right now because there's a lot to break down there with snore palm. That's for sure. Coming up next Evan and Kanti talk about Caleb Williams. They go back and forth. Talk about Caleb Williams. I think it might be some positives out of this. We'll get to that coming up next and your phone calls. If you're in hold, you will be on the air on the Captain Jhood morning show. Captain Jhood are back and you know this man. Chicago's home for sports ESPN Chicago. Captain Jhood on ESPN 1000 and streaming on the ESPN Chicago app. I've got a stat for you, Jonathan. You're a stat fiend. You love this stuff. Highest dropback success rate in the National Football League over the last three weeks. The lowest is Josh Allen. Jamer's guy from the Buffalo Bills. He's at 26%. Number one, his name is Caleb Williams, 56%. There you go. You're a good kid. But he's doing an event against bad defenses cap. Show me when he does it against a real team. Boy, people will have the right to move their own individual goalposts. I won't be doing that. You're not a goal post mover. I am not. I just I like what I like and I love victories no matter who they're playing. I'm curious if they beat Washington. Will they maybe the Washington goal matter? Will they do something at the trade deadline? I think so. Jay Moore. You remember last year? I can't. He said that fields would be MVP. Yeah. Guess what? I'm boss. It's took over. Ken's Williams field what was his first name is it couldn't have adjusted Marshall Marshall Fields. Yes, Sally. Oh, God. Love it. Evan Cohen and Chris Canty are part of a sportsman like five to seven before we come on here on ESPN 1000 and they were had this discussion about Caleb Williams. Can I get 89 seconds of your time? Bring it on. Let's go. All right. I think the idea that Caleb Williams started slow is actually a good thing because it shows that he can get better, adjust, learn and improve the every rookie quarterback is going to hit that rookie wall at some point or not be that good at some point. I do wonder if Caleb's already had that, you know, Jay Daniels hasn't had that moment of drop off yet and if he doesn't like CJ Stroud style, then he's just a top five top 10 QB literally for the rest of his career like you can graduate him into that. I think the fact that Caleb Williams did what he did early was is actually a benefit. This so far this season to some extent, but but it is still early to the Caleb Williams of it all. I'm impressed by what I've seen over the last three weeks, but context matters. He's done against the number 29, number 31 and number 32 scoring defense. So I need more proof of concept that he can get it done against quality competition. Now, what I will say is that he's starting to play fast without being sped up. You're seeing the the feet match his eyes. He understands what he's looking at. He's deliberate when he's going through his progressions and he's getting it to the right read. I'm going to appreciate that aspect of quarterbacking from Caleb Williams and you want to see him continue to build on that. The part that I want to see is the management of the game and being able to respond when you're in more pressurized situations when you have more closely contested matchups. That's what we're waiting on. Not to say that he can't do it. Just haven't seen him do it yet. That's fair. That's fair. You just want to see more. That's all he's saying. Candy at the end of that except he has to fire right away on who the teams are that we did it against. Jay Daniels did it against the Ravens who are terrible past defense team. Good against the run. The Cardinals who are not a good team and the freaking Cleveland Browns the last three weeks. Come on. What are we doing here, Chris? Shay, can you do me a favor, please? What do you need, hoodie? I need you to take a look at the Chicago Bears and put them in the hierarchy of where they would be in the national championship picture. Where would they be ranked amongst the rest of the teams, the NFL, if we're doing this college? Because that's how people want to look at this. You had me. I was like, what do you mean, Nashville? Now I get what you're saying. Yes. National football. Using the college. Yeah. System. Yeah. Some people look at it, instead of looking at, hey, there's a rookie quarterback that's on a roll, no matter who he's playing. He's not faltering. We've seen it go the other way, by the way, more times than not, quite frankly. In the history of the national football, he goes the other way. How do they lose that team? Because he was inaccurate. How could they lose that team? Well, it's going the other direction cap, the positive direction for the Bears right now. So in the snore palm for the NFL, do you mean like a power ranking system, perhaps? Yes. The NFL power rankings tomorrow at 818, when people will find out where exactly the Bears land in the top 10. My man needs some time. Yes. He's some time. Just a little 24-hour tease for the people. I like it. The power rankings tomorrow at 818, you will find out just where the Bears sit in that hierarchy. I look forward to seeing that. That's why I want to know. I want to know. I want to know if we feel this good about the Bears at 4 and 2, where would they be amongst the snore palms, you know, the NFL edition, top 10, top 12. I can't wait for that. And by the way, Shay, if the Bears get in your top 12, this will be the first time they're in it. Am I correct? I believe they were in it last week. I want to double check. Yeah, I'll just, I don't remember. I'm sure if the Bears made it. I think there was other receiving votes, I believe. But tomorrow is obviously a wattle Wednesday. Yeah. I'm going to give you a taste of what we're going to get from a wattle Wednesday, because he's been up all morning with his coffee, watching the All-22, which has dropped. I will do that this afternoon. I don't bring the eye and knowledge of the NFL like Tommy does. That's true. But I am going to watch it and give you my perspectives. You gave me an assignment to look up a particular play for you. But Tommy gave me a nice little soliloquy here. And I'll tell you about that coming up after night. All right. Chicago was 10th last week, could he? Oh, so he made 10. Okay. Nice. Now I can't wait for tomorrow to see where they are among, because as all people look at it, it's the hierarchy of where the Bears are based on the wins that they've had. Are they quality wins or are they not quality wins? Correct. Is it a little sister to the poor? How about wins? That's all it is important in the NFL. When Tommy is on the hotline, no, that's tomorrow. That's tomorrow. Okay. He's like, what? I haven't even dialed in. Okay. We'll talk more about the Bears. If you're not holding you will be on the air at 312-332-3776 is our phone number on Captain Jay Hood.
