[MUSIC] Good evening, everybody. And welcome to this delayed episode of the referee for the part. And firstly, I'll apologize for this being late. I've had a really bad eating faction all week. Yeah, it's been that bad. Probably was an infection behind me, Adrian, but it was that bad. I couldn't even like put my head down on the bill. It's like full side of me head was just throbbing. But I got some tablets and yeah, I've had last few days. It started to clear up a lot. It's still there. I can still feel it. Like, touch, nigger it. But at least the pain isn't like a stabbing pain inside of me. It's a bit more manageable. And there's also some like weird post come out of it. It's like last few days. That seems to have stopped now. It was like some weird like pussy liquid that was coming out. It's like stunk of fish for some reason. I don't know why. But anyways, that's gone. So yeah, he doesn't smell fish. It's not sour anymore. So yeah, I should be OK to carry on. But before I get into this next rivalry, a little bit of news has came out regarding more international games and not really affecting this season. I mean, we know that we've got the first game in Brazil. First air week one. And then there's the three games in London and the game in Germany. I think there's also what came out recently is they've added a to be announced onto this year. So there might be another game announced nationally, they might not. But for next season, they've announced where they're going to be playing the games. And they've added a game in Spain in the Burnabout Real Madrid stadium. That's going to host a season game next season, along with the original three London games. I think it's potentially a game or two games in Germany. So instead of the being five games like this is and next season, there's definitely going to be six international games. One of them being in Madrid. So anybody who's looking for a trip to Madrid, I think that would be a fantastic reason to go of. I was somewhere about the burn of our of always like that stadium. It's absolutely massive. I think it holds like 85,000 plus. And the only other really stadium that could compete for anything like this would be the new company Barcelona, which again, that's another very impressive stadium. But it makes it think really, you know, the Burnabout World's 85,000 Wembley Halds similar. The Tottenham Halds first stadium that was purposely built, you know, the only purposely built NFL stadium outside of America. Only Halds, I think it's about 65 maybe. Yeah, so I am a more of a fan of the biggest stadiums. But, you know, the one in Frankfurt, that only held 55 and that was that was rockin that place. But I think next year as well, we'd to be in the six games. I think that is also the last time that the Jags will have their residency in Wembley. So after 2005 and 2006, whether the NFL games go back to Wembley is another matter. And whether it'll be the Jags all the time, that's also to be seen. So let's get into this rivalry of the Cleveland Browns versus the Cincinnati Bengals. And this is a, this is a strange rivalry. This one often referred to as the Battle of Ohio. And strange as in, you know, it's, I don't know, you look up both teams, sense of that, you bangles, Cleveland Browns, both of them say big. And if you, you know, your West glasses, if you're a specky like me, take your glasses off, watching these two teams played struggle to pick which one, you know, which sides which and that's even with the horn and the weird colours, they're very similar helmet colours. I think that they have often referred to as being looking like, like a practice game when these two teams are playing like a, like a squad practice game. And the reason for all this confusion and for the everything being really similar was down to one man. And that man was Paul Brown, who was the head coach of the Cleveland Browns back in 1946. And they kind of been like much inspiration in Cleveland back in 1946. Because, you know, they come to name the team and like, Oh, we need a name for our team. Okay, I'll think of one. And never coach, your surname is Brown. Oh, no, let's call ourselves the Browns. Paul Brown had a lot of success in Cleveland, really, from 1946 onwards. They were, you know, first win in the Western Conference. First win in the Eastern Conference, all through the 50s. Up until about 1958, 1959, when the start again, seconds and thirds in the conferences. And then he was fired by Cleveland Brown on an art model in 1963, in January 1963. And in the Brown, Paul Brown tried for a few years to start his front, his own franchise. And then in 1968, Brown managed to start up at the Cincinnati Bengals. Now, when he started this up, you know, you'd think fresh start, fresh everything, new team, new city. What can I do? I can do anything I want. But instead it, you know, Brown had started his career with the Marcellian Washington Tigers back in the 1930s. So for his team name, he chose the Bengals, so I represent the Tigers. And then for the colors, because obviously, he chose Tiger, he had to go for Orange and Brown, which just matched the Browns, the only forms. I don't know, it all seemed very odd. But I mean, to be fair, when you see them together, when you see a Browns in a Bengals game, I think that, you know, the deal looked good against each other. Now they've got stripes on the helmet, which at the time back then, they didn't, they just had the only way to tell them the power was one like Brown stripe down the center of the Cleveland helmet. But yeah, I think when you see them together, the deal looked quite good, even though it does look like an exhibition match. The first regular season match up between the Browns and the Bengals, finished with the Browns beat the Bengals 30 to 27 in 1970. It was a pop win for the Browns, because so we're on a bit of a, bit of a lose and run back then. For the, the running backs, Leroy Kelly and Borskott combined for 256 yards, and a fight of defense set the early tone when defensive tackle while the Johnson sat Bengals quarterback Virgil Carr for the CFD. However, Bengals got the last laugh. That season beaten the Browns in the first meeting in Cincinnati, 14, 10, and the win helped propel the Bengals, who won the first seven games to win the AFC Central by one game over the Browns. That's season. Yeah, both teams had limited success in the 1970s, with the Bengals making free playoff appearances and the Browns making two. Neither team actually won a playoff game in that decade. Both teams had several playoff runs through the 1980s. The Bengals appeared in two Super Bowls during the Super Bowl. 17 and 23 losing both of them to the San Francisco 49ers. The Browns played in three AFC Championship games during that decade, but lost all three of them to Denver Broncos. Now, prior to the 1980 season, the Bengals hired a former Browns head coach, first Greg, Greg, and the Browns big Greg and the Bengals in both meetings that year, including the divisional clinching 27, 24 wins in Cincinnati. And because of the 1982 play strike, gaming Cleveland that season was canceled. And Bengals won the only meeting that year, which was in Cincinnati over 23, 10. This making the only season to date that in which the Browns and Bengals haven't met twice. On December 14, 1986, the Browns routed the Bengals 34 free at the room from Stradium to cleanse the AFC Central Divisional title. The Browns and Bengals battle for the division title throughout the late 1980s. And the Browns win in the AFC Central in 1986, '87 and '89. And the Bengals won the AFC Central in '88 and '90. In 1989, during the Bengals home game against the Seattle Seahawks, the Bengals fans started by winning front snowballs and various stuff onto the field that the Seattle Seahawks players and the officials had to do some questionable calls. But the Seahawks were trying to get deeper into in their own territory and safety concerns that were refusing to play until the field was cleared. Now, the Bengals had caught some wish, got onto the stadium public, announced my microphone and told the fans that will the next person who sees anything from anything onto the field, point them out and get them out of there, and then reminded everyone that you don't live in Cleveland, that you live in Cincinnati. In 1991, Paul Brown, the owner of the Bengals and the person that the Cleveland Browns has named after a dad. And just as he died, the Bengals had managed to get a 22 over 19 record against the Browns. And in the early 90s under head coach Bill Belchak, the Browns dominated the series during these years, gone in '82. Overall, including a seven game win streak from 1982 to 1995. And on September 1994, the teams opened the season in the room front straight, room front stadium. The Browns won the game 2820, highlighted by Eric Maccalf, 94 yard point return for a touchdown. Browns franchise record. This game also featured the first ever successful two point conversion in NFL history. When the Cleveland put a Tom Pooter run into the end zone on a fake extra point attempt. In 95, the Browns defeat bingles 29, 26 in overtime. Browns kick a matistova kick five field goals for the Browns, including the overtime game winner. Also in 95, Madel announced those intentions to relocate the Browns to Baltimore following the season. Most of the team sponsors pulled out in spite of the response leaving Cleveland have municipal stadium like derelict. No advertising. No, you know, like nothing fun to look after in the team's final weeks. But Browns defeated the bingles in the final game 26 10. And in fact, that was the only win that the Browns got following the announcement that they were doing the move to Baltimore. In 1999, the Browns returned back to Cleveland. And really 2000 2010 both teams struggled throughout the decade. The Browns met the playoff appearance in 2002, while the bingles made playoffs in 2005 and 2009. Although neither team wouldn't play off game during that time, both teams had years in which they finished. Browns were recorders in 99 and the Bengals was in 2002. In October, 99 the third teams first met. Since the Browns returned and the bingles won the game at the Cleveland Browns Stadium 18 17. And rookie quarterback, Kili Smith, let the Bengals on that day on a 12 player touchdown drive in the final two minutes and four seconds to deny the Browns the first win since moving back to Cleveland. In that game also, Browns kicker Phil Dawson scored another Russian touchdown from a fake field goal player. Seemed like a fake field goal players does Cleveland. In September 2000, the Browns and bingles played a game that opened the Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati. In 2003, in the final game of the regular season, the Browns defeat the Bengals 22, 14 to knock them out with knock the bingles out of playoff contention. The following year, in 2004, the Bengals defeat the Browns 58, 58, 48, and the 106 combined points makes it the second highest scoring game in NFL history. Only behind the 1966 games in which the Washington Redskins beat the New York Giants 72 41 for a total of 113 points. This game saw bingles running back Rudy Johnson rough 202 yards and the Browns quarterback, Kili Holcomb passed for 413 yards and five touchdowns. After that game, Browns head coach put David's resigned and made a losing streak of a disappointing four and 12 season. In 2009, the bingles swept the Browns for the first time in the franchise history, beating them both times in that year. And then in 2011, comes the Undedalton era. And in the 2011 draft, the bingles took wide receiver, EJ Green, and quarterback, and Undedalton, with the first two picks, Dalton made his first career start as a rookie in Cleveland with a 2717 win against the Browns, which was first of many dominant performances, with Dalton at a level and four record against the Browns, passing for 27 touchdowns, which seven of them went to EJ Green. Although in 2014, the one exception, when the Browns defeated the bingles 24 to three in Cincinnati was Dalton posted a two point or quarter back rate, which was the worst game of his career. The bingles really did dominate after that, they went on a seven game win streak. Between in 2014, 2017, with a combination score of 213 to 63, bingles scored at least 30 points in six of the seven games, while the Browns scored 17 off your in each other. And there likes to be a lot of swapping going on between these two clubs in 2018. The Browns fired the coach here Jackson Jackson at a free to 36 to one record. And Browns finished that season 0 at 16. So you know, he's been he's been fired for that. Since the night, since the night, he hired him as a special assistant to the head court, Marvin Lewis, less than a month after he's been sucked. So the year after that, a big mere field was drafted in by the Browns. And he made his eighth career start, his eighth career game was against the bingles in week 12. And he passed for four touchdowns, and led the Browns to a 35 20 win against Cincinnati. In the second career start against bingles later on, my year in week 16. He also, you know, Browns also won 26 18. And a big mere field was taught in Hugh Jackson down the sideline. In 2020, the Browns dominated the early 2020s, and a coach Kevin Stavansky, winning six of the seven meetings. So far, on October 2020, Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield, and the bingles quarterback Joe Bullor, combined for an NFL record, five touchdown passes in the fourth quarter, as the Browns won 37 34. Now with the head head record, those two like over the decades, in the 70s, it was a tie 10 10. In the 80s, the bingles just edged hit 10 nine. In the 90s, the Browns just edged here, eight and six. In the 2000s and 2010s, bingles were a little bit more dominant, like 12 and eight, so it's a decade and 13 and seven, two in the millions as in two. And in the bull in 2020s, the Browns are up six to which gives a total meeting for these two clubs of 101. And all time series is the bingles just edge in it, 53 48. The largest victory for the Browns came in a 34 to zero in 1987. And the largest victory for the bingles came 37 to three in 2015. Longest win streak for both of them is seven. Browns did it between 98 to 95. bingles did it between 2014 and 2017. So the amount of times these are these teams have played and they've stopped each of them getting into playoffs and, you know, stopped each of the doing all sorts of never actually met in the playoffs. So then they have the Browns versus a jet rivalry. I mean, looking at it from the outside, it to me just like two teams that just want to be each other. But I'm sure the fans think different. So next week, I will be bringing you the Jets versus the Patriots. And hopefully I wonder any disasters this week and I'm going out next to my stuff. So until next week, stay fly everybody. Bye bye.
