Dave Child:- Prophetic Series: Listen Pt.1
We started a series on the prophetic. I mean God is doing it in our midst. This is the prophetic when God seeks to us. We love it. Our value is single. One of our values, one of our blessings is practice in the prophetic. And you know, I think I'm going to be a doctor's practice. You pay them but they're so practicing. So, I'm like figuring out, dude, medical is like, do you ever always come to a faith in my heart? Stop practicing. But there's an element of beauty, of practicing, and it's the first that I started this morning, Philippians 4.9, whatever you have learned and I see and heard and see me be, just for writing it says, "Practice these things," and the god of peace will be written. Whatever you have learned, received, heard, has seen in me, that's like a beautiful picture of this holistic nature that we would practice in the Greek despite, so that's probably more Greek Italian. (Laughter) It means, to practice, to perform repeatedly, or habitually, a deed that is done as a regular practice, by an application to execute or accomplish. So, something that we, when you practice something, it becomes a habit in your lap. And he says, "Practice what you have learned." And if you look at the Greek for that word you learn, it actually means by spirits. They're saying, "You've seen something about that, I want you to practice it, you've learned it by experience." In the Greek learning, it's not so much a theoretical thing, it's something that's done by experience. Then he says, "You've received," and that actually talks about proximity. "You've received something from me, because you've been close to my lap." So, you're saying, "You've practiced things that we learned by experience, you received them by being in proximity to others, you've heard it, so by listening, which is entirely optimistic, and by seeing it, and that what we're seeing is actually linked more, less about sight, and more about thinking. I think, in our day, one of the gifts we can give, one another, I think, and so, this is a sense of, when we practice as a prophet, we learn something by experience, we see it, we hear it, it's being done in our community, this is an opportunity for us to do this as a practice." So, that makes sense. And then these two other verses, where it forces in some of the trail yourself to be guided, and the word for trail is actually "Jovinaazar," or anything to let you guess what usually we get from that. Genestism, literally like workouts, like go to the gym, like an area in chris, internal area across us, that's how you know, and training yourself, exercise with peace. Practice, refraining ourselves, Hebrews 5, 14, strong food is for the mature, who by reason of practice has trained themselves, trained in a sense is all solid food is for the mature, who by constant use, have trained themselves. So, when we practice the prophetic, we say, "We are going to use our spiritual muscles." This is an opportunity for us to step out and do something, by constant use, it comes to happen in our life, then it becomes his ethos. You don't just rock up to church looking like a million, if you don't need to put it in hours and a little, clearly, I'm not putting that out in the intro. So, there's an opportunity for us to practice the prophetic, and I love this verse from Wanda, one that says, "Talking about Jesus," it says, "That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, we have seen with our eyes, we have looked at my head, touched with my hands, concerning the word of love," we're talking about Jesus, we've seen Him, we've heard Him, we've touched Him. There's an element of when we practice the prophetic and we step out, hearing God, it's like we've seen Jesus, we've heard Him, and we've encountered Him, that is going to inform how we practice this thing. Beautiful verse in Hebrews, Wanda says, "Long ago, many times, in many ways, God spoke to us by the prophet, but in these last days, He spoke unto us by the Son. Jesus is the radiance, is the glory of God in exactly Prince of Ascension. He spoke unto us by Jesus, his son, and John says, "It's that which was from the very beginning." And so, God is always speaking, anyone know it, the first verse in the Bible is, "This is one that's one, in the beginning God created the heaven's in the earth." Does anyone know how God created the heaven's in the earth? He said, "Let there be lusts." We never wondered why God chose to create by speaking, it's a good question, let there be lusts. God has always been the very act of creation came from the spoken word, the word universe, uni means one, verse means word, one word, one word, and the universe is still expanding. Going to YouTube, you can listen to, you can go down and write the fold about the physics of the universe is a big bang, but no matter what you agree about the big bang on creation the physics is like an answer that there was nothing, even if there was like a God particle and then there was magic and how that came about, that God was never so powerful, but one word is better and he created what we see now, the universe is better reality, one word is singing from the mark of God, as someone once said, "The words became worlds." And from the very beginning, since Genesis 1, verse 1, 2, in the Bible and Revelation God never stops thinking. John writes the same creation of God, instead of what we read in Genesis 1, it says, "In the beginning was the word which was the logos, Jesus was the word, I mean, if God, if God himself comes into the flesh and calls himself the word, do you think he speaks?" Has anyone ever watched the parents of the baby like the rest of the baby? Have you ever seen a parent speaking to the little, like, 3, 4, 5, 6 week old baby? Have you ever seen a 3, 4, 5, 6 week old baby speaking back? It's in our nature to communicate from like the inception of last, not even because we want our baby to speak back, because we are created in a place of love and relationship. David writes this, he says, "How precious to be I, your thoughts, God, how vast is the summerman? Will I to count them? They would ask them with the grains and the sand and the seed, when I am away from school with me." Guys, the next slide is about to lay around, next up there. He says, "Will I to count the number of grains and sand, that's the vastness of the summer of your thoughts, school with me?" No, I know that you like from the popular India, but I like this up on the internet, and it's these fact tickets, all the phones are coming up, so it goes up to 7.5 times, so that's between 10 to the power of 18, not a thousand and 18, I mean, you have a property. 7.5 quintillion grams of sand, that's 7.5 of 18 euros, then I was like, "Well, if you learn 80 years, how many seconds would you learn to point to a little bit of a trip?" So I worked on the internet, and all for example, that you would have, that means that 2.97 to the power of 9, 4 to 13 seconds, and God would have, I mean, I know that there was one thing that. But if you say God has his meaning, 4 to 13, it feels like he's got multi-tour of multi-tour of thousands of millions of thoughts towards you. Why would he not be one to communicate with you? Why would he not, we just speak to the whole sector, it's like why would he not want to say like, "I've done a beautiful, I remember we were this thing with Jews when he was waking up at 5.1 morning, he was like a few months old and he said, "Look at me, I'm like, "What done I'm supposed to do?" And I just, I couldn't sort of get in, I'm like, "Ah, beautiful." Why was, because we are very anxious to interact with human beings, what was the first task that God gave Adam in the garden, to name the animals, isn't that cultural meaning, it was not just about giving them a title, but actually your man in the Hebrew culture is, you're very anxious to identity, so he was saying, I was saying Adam co-created with these animals, declare that I hate to see you, when you speak something over them, you actually are participating in a creative practice. Man's and characters of Jewish photos are not ours. You know what I find fascinating about the story of Adam and Eve? They had the four, the greatest sin in giving this to, and all of a sudden pain on that. You know what happened afterwards? They said for ages, they cared, and then it says, "I heard the sound of the Lord and the cool of the day," and he said, "Where are you?" So arguably the greatest sin had ever been permitted, and I heard the voice of the Lord after they had permitted us. Isn't that amazing? In the place where the greatest down-forward humanity, God, was looking up for the next thing. So I say that all to say that Jesus said in John 10, "My sheep hear my voice." If you've responded to the Gospel and you've given your life to Jesus, you heard him say something new, you felt the type of his love or an encounter with him on your lap. He was seeking to you before he even knew the sound of his voice, without turning the story of Samuel and the ultimate where he hears Samuel Samuel, Samuel, his name, and eventually the third time he goes to the priest, he says, "Oh, the priest is meant to be the very person in the ultimate," and he hears the voice, and he's like, "Finally, our third time clicks, mainly it's the Lord." He says, "Go back, until the Bible says, he speaks, and we kill the court of God on Samuel's life." He's always seeking the word he can't switch, and he's brought to mind us. So while I'm saying all this, because as people who want to practice the prophetic, who want to step out and speak God's word, we first have to learn that we can hear his voice. And the biggest battle that the most of us face in stepping into the prophetic and meaning is that it's, can I tell the voices of God? And I want to say it today that God is a God who loves to see, and he has a gift to open up our ears for us to be people who would hear and recognize the sound of his voice, and then speak his words. Makes sense. There's a beautiful verse in Revelation 19, he says, "The testimony of Jesus is the prophecy, that means that the first, the very heart of the prophetic is the testimony of Jesus, which means any prophetic word, anyone who says they're seeking prophetic, shall learn and the testimony of Jesus. Prophecies should start like Jesus, should look like Jesus, should taste like Jesus, should leave you into their country. The sign of the true prophetic word has that person encountered the person and the power and the life changing the reality of Jesus Christ. We measure our prophetic words, not against some super spiritual mechanism we measure against the Bible of the Word of God. The prophetic should start on like Jesus, should look like Jesus. When we read about Jesus, he says, he only lived what he saw as part of him, he only said what he lived as part of him, he's the only perfect prophet that ever lived. So what does it mean for us to prophesy, horses in one hundred years, 14, he says, the true love earnestly desires for us to listen, for one who speaks in a time does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands, for in his progress into the street. The one who prophesies, speaks to men and women for the hidden occasion, exhortation and consolation, in power and strength, for men and country. So say, the true love, and you know the beautiful thing is, if you read about it, I get from the prophetic in one Corinthians, it's in one Corinthians 12, and it's in one Corinthians 14, and that day in the middle is one Corinthians 13. You know one Corinthians 13 is, and at the stage, you know, that's kind, the verse you read to yourself of, you've got a fact to go up, but you don't know, the verse is just translated with this, sandwiched between the seeking ones, so to get, is the teaching of them. You want to go and get prophetic and see them, you want to kill the voices of God and see them. And then it says, eagerly desire, such as this, eagerly, earnest desire, the gift, especially we get to promise, and they won't even have nothing about time, and say, time is as great as you're speaking, must be to God, no one understands, but the prophetic is better because it's for the edification, the holding out of other people, so desire to prophetic gift, because it's not all about you. And I know that we said, we stuck up our hands and said, who's received the prophetic word? Most of you put up your hands. This week, well after I went to give it a visa, she's going to turn on a Tuesday to do musical theater for the mass, and there was a massive complication with the visa that's being handled by the country in the land of, like when she went to class for the visa, a week and a half ago, in regards to, like, probably, I mean, it went to pray, and like, literally everyone, and you went into, so they put it on fire, and you know, the visa, and, um, for all those possibilities of October, we're interested in the photo, and I'm just kind of familiar, but I remember the words that I watched from the guy that I went to in the States, this week, last year, and he, mainly that way, he doesn't know that at all, it's a short prophetic word, and I listened to it again, it's just about another artist, I believe, and the word starts with, um, I see the law as a word of your wife, says, uh, the verse was, "The necessity falls to the ground and past, cannot be a priest." And he said, "I see that your wife has, like, been beginning and pulling on her last feet, like a book on her shelf, and I see the law taking the book off the shelf to an end of her hair." I think it's going to be an opportunity for her to dance in. He gave that word to me on the 18th of October, 2020, to anybody who brings down the 17th of October, or that word, within a year, of what is so. And when we move into the prophetic, it's, like, the future is where the music is, where the music is, where the music is, where the people of Anal are not yet. We anticipate what is to come, we see it waiting in to speak, it is speaking for the edit equation and the strength and the comfort of other people. So, serve yourself, I know we're going out of time, but I'm probably listening to the closed. But our value is to practice the prophetic, to eagerly desire spiritual gifts. If you want to step out in the prophetic, you have to practice there to eagerly desire. A couple of practices of things, seek yourself and scripture, like the best way I find, so like growing in the prophetic is to get the word of God inside me, because when it's inside you know I prophesy, I think I'm out of time. And if I go somewhere in scripture, I know that that's incredible, incredible encouragement. But actually, like, there's always this thing of like the word in a sorrow, what prophetic in the scripture, no, no, no, no, like the prophetic will always learn our scripture. The might be specific to your life, and the outside of the confidence in scripture, that it can't resist the testing of Jesus, all that the Bible says. And then ask, keep asking, keep asking, step out, take a risk, Jesus is going to be more and more into the system of time, and we need some prophetic activation of our clothes, and have opportunities to be able to serve our gift. You know the bit, this is other than scripture, the best thing you can do, you want to start prophesy is the valid gift of encouragement, because the prophetic strengthens it, and carries it in confidence. And so the face of the prophetic is a gift of encouragement, you want to grow a prophetic and intense connection with it. And then we train our sinuses, we begin to hone our sinuses, and I'll go through the process, and I've got this function where you can like put on, like, noise cancelling, it's great when you go to the top of it, you know, prepare for it. And then if you have a, like, a long press, and it goes into transfer, and I feel the noise in there in us, a while, and I just thought, like, that's, that was just for some of us as a God to me, and it's like, it's almost like we kind of noise it, and it's always cancelling the thing on, we've had so much noise out here, that I just wanted to open our heads, to care, of course, to transfer. I didn't feel like I was, like, it's me, I didn't feel like I was going to be with, like, lots, years, or even like, days, and then you're going to get, and then I was just going to, like, I was going to, I was going to open some years. That's actually how I found out that you're taking this, y'all, I'll just try to, I pray that you would physically, and a lot of the other things in this room is the sign of what you're going to do with us as a system. I pray that I test my needs as a speaker. Heal your awareness, heal your canals, I pray for creative miracles that you've actually formed onto the other, underneath and into our axis. I'm going to bring you to the first, I'm going to spend a lot of time on actually just doing it. Maybe then the band can come out now. But I felt like what I wanted to do this morning, this is to teach us how to fit it. This, you know, I understand what the script teaches, but I felt like there's something that's just a release of prophetic grace, where for many of us God just says, like, it's time to start sticking out, you know, in one, speaking my, my, speaking my words are too, that's really, that's really to come up with. To turn it into, to stand into playing and give the God, that's in you. To stand into play, for some of us, it's like, we know that you give the God, that's the God, that's the God, that's the God, that's the time to stand into play. That makes sense. It's not what we're going to do, it needs to say, at the slightest whisper of the hurt, this is what I think. Your rate of obedience is your rate of acceleration. It needs to say, if God's not moving, I'll move God. The God's looking for people and you will learn to be able to ride the way that this works. And sometimes we need to start making a way, and it's just stirring us up. And it's probably not like your typical type of message. But we can't, we can't, we can't, we can't, we can't, we can't, we can't. The prophetic grows based in communities. What breaks the lives, a prophet or prophetic person has to be this weird, outlier person because of church, church, because they never get accepted, and they build that up as their agency and the prophet of God. Jesus was the greatest prophet of ever lived, only perfect prophet, and he was seated in community. You know what it says about Jesus? We went to a time, a prophet has not attended him in the same time. And for some of us, we've got a lot of calling, or gifting. But then we got one step to not be tested in our own time, our own church has sent a very place. We need to actually build character and relationship with people. And they don't relate to us based on our gifts to our calling, but they know us. And they're like, "I'm just doing sort of nonsense." And I'm not saying that, too, down there, but it's a beauty in the cases of community where a prophetic begins to enforce something in us, where we don't know them, and we are loved as we are, not because of our gifts to our calling, and then we can begin to see what God has said about the people, and we begin to talk about it. And when I do a word that John has, it's not just John has been hearing that. I do a public use of it when they're like, "Wow, they're amazing." But actually, guys, you now know what the calling of the word, "apare" by John Affandelix, is that you start to relate to that way. So you pull to write songs. I'm going to break through your head something. I was always going to be having a bad day. Don't worry. Don't sit. You start to relate people to people based on what's as good or related to people according to the switch. You're going to have to do the first time, guys. You need to give me a tip, so I can understand. So what I'm going to do is you start thinking of your desires, so it's just your good prophecy. Lord, I want to step out. I want to fan into this player. I want you to stand. I want to pray for you. You're feeling like a wall for a key to your body or a fire. God, I want you to stand. I want to pray for you. Can you put that side up? It's a little one from the other one. I was reading this book over places. You'll go to my son-man yesterday. And there's a page that hit me about waiting. You can read it here, but it says he goes to this place and says, "For people just waiting, waiting for a train to go, waiting for a bus to come, waiting to go. The mail to come, the rain to go. The phone is ringing, so to start waiting around for a year, so no, no, waiting for the here to go. Everyone is just waiting. I'd like to see this. But when I read it, I'm about right. For some of us, it's like we've been in this place of waiting. And in the Bible, you don't wait for the Lord. We wait on the Lord. And for some of us, it's almost like we've been like God. I'm waiting for something to happen with me. And the enemy is trying to convince us that we're not going to stick and start this beyond calling. We're not going to see breakthrough. We're not going to experience with God as promise. But I feel like God says he is in the waiting. And for some of us, what the enemy meant for evil, is to determine when you're good. You know what happens is in keeping them when you wait, the promises of God over your last gain interest. I was thinking about this and I, I was like cleaning up and I was like, "Put the parmesan cheese back in the fridge." And I was like, "Wow." When they put those parmesan in the sailors and Italy, they just leave it in there for six months, 12 months, 24 months. A lot of you leave at the dinner. I was like, "I wanted a hurry in Italy in general." But we feel like I've done some do something initially. He's not going to do it eventually. And I feel like the word of the Lord for many of us is, "He is doing a new thing." So let's use this word for hands. I pray Lord that you would release a prophetic grace on this church Lord. You would release a prophetic grace on this household that men and women would come in Lord from the nations. And they would say surely the presence of God is in this place. That as poor roads and like Corinthians, I believe it's just come in. Keep the secrets of their hearts as being exposed. There will be more than that on their faces since they're surely the owners of this place. I pray that you raise that the Company of prophetic, men and women like Paul says the hex to your young men. Your young men will dream dreams of all men or sea pigeons. ♪♪ On all flesh, our more as per the male prophesy, your men and women, your sons and daughters, will I pray the lie that the prophetic is for a new, for a future, the individual. I pray the lie that the prophetic must look weird. I pray the lie that the prophetic must sound super spiritual. I pray the lie that we have to be people who are misunderstood if we prophetic, I pray that we would raise that the half, the prophetic people who know who they are and who they are. People who know the sound of your voice and pray for our children that they would be like Samuel and they would know the sound of your voice from a young age that would check them. Lord, I know that they're word for the waters of law. God, that we would be people who would be checked by a word, not just a word that you speak in your spirit, but the word that we read in Scripture Lord, that we would be people who would seat in Scripture and seek the encounters that people would say. The spur of Jesus is a day. The testimony of Jesus is the spur of prophecy. Now, whenever we prophesied, people would encounter Jesus that they would step into the content, that would ship them and change their lives, that they wouldn't be the same Lord, that when we go to our forums, when we go to our homes, when we go to our offices, when we go to our schools, that we would speak the word of God. Even if people that know that we prophesied, we would call out the very blood and the very power of God. You would see people as you see the rules. So I pray, Lord, and love is, open eyes. Let us share your voice, Lord. I pray every evening that you've ever been spoken of, anyone to say you will not hear the voice of God. I pray any curse, any word curse that's ever been sent, you won't announce anything, you're not good enough. But I say, the love of the Father breaks fear. There is no fear in love, but the perfect love cocks out of fear. I pray, Lord, that we would be a people, Lord, to a disheart, fear, and release the world. We would send a prayer and take a time, a single in the station, we would be something that is Christ, and not something that is being misappropriated. So, Lord, with our feelings being misappropriated, Lord, we say we humble ourselves. And we say, Lord, would you allow us to walk with humility, to re-establish the prophetic company and prophetic culture, when people know what it's like to hear the voice of God, when people know what it's like to speak the voice of God, when people know what it's like to say, surely the Lord is in that place, so I have to release the prophetic grace right now.
