It's time for the Howie Car Show. 2021, though, you did say that inflation was transitory. Do you regret saying that now? I regret saying it was transitory. No, you don't. Prices fell over the last year for gas milk, eggs, chicken, appliances. No, they didn't. No, no, no, they didn't. But you can imagine what it'd be like if they did, right? Huh? Huh? Live from the Matthews Brothers Studios. New reports suggesting the inflation fight has stalled. Consumer prices in February were up 3.2% from a year ago. That's slightly above what was expected. This is quite a shock. On the other hand, it's not surprising in the least. Who do you love Howie Car? Yvonne Buss is mad at me. And I just put out a statement about what happened between him, me, and the interview that he is apparently so upset about. Oh, my God, who the hell cares? Rum swabs, hacks, and moon bats beware. It's Howie Car. Didn't Don Lamone just get $24.5 million from CNN as for being fired? That's, you know, buying out his contract? We go away. You don't have to go home, but you can't stay here. Leave us alone. All right. 844-500-4242. I know Chris Cuomo was on with Tucker Carlson. It was kind of interesting. And it's in a weird way. But I don't think Don Lamone will be following up, you know, as a bust out from CNN going on Tucker Carlson's Twitter feed. I don't, I don't see that in the cards. Anyway, 844-500-42-42. You're saying that the inflation is down. It's again, this is the big lie. You read about the big lie in history books and, you know, are both Mussolini. They're, it's blamed on the theory. You know, you just, you just keep telling them the same lie over and over again. And eventually it becomes the truth. You think this is, this is historically interesting and entertaining, but people are too smart to fall for it now. Well, the Democrats don't believe the two smart to fall for it now. They, they think it, they think the big lie is still an operable operative theory of, of Orwellian management of, of the national, the national psyche. And, you know, they, they're all these stories now coming out that if you take the real, if you just start, you use as a base, February of 2021 when Biden became president, had the first full month, February, the prices are up either 18, 19, 20 percent, 18, 19, 20 percent, wages are, are not up 18, 19, 20 percent. So the wages have fallen. Okay. And they just want to always keep cutting it more, you know, in shorter and shorter bits. Oh, the gas prices have been down. You know, say they're not going up like they were before. Well, you know what, the gas prices have gone up four months in a row and even CNN, it's starting to freak out about it. Well, we'll get to all this as, as we go through the, through the afternoon 844, 542, 42, I want to tell you though, how much I care about my audience. Do you know what I spent my morning doing? I spent my morning reading the actual 269 pages of the Biden interview, the Biden interrogation, deposition, whatever you want to call it with Robert, her and it is, it's, it's so bad. I mean, they've, they've touched on parts of it, but you really have to, you really have to delve into it to see how bleeping bad it is. One thing I didn't even, I didn't even bring it in the, he's talking about how he didn't want to tell. He was at some event. He didn't want to touch a kid because this is on page 87 because I knew what the headline would be Biden, unless another child. I think that does, I think that deserves to get more attention than just me mentioning it here for the first time, you know, more than 24 hours after the thing was put out. He, he talked about a million, billion calculations. He talked about doctors winning the Pulitzer Prize. He meant to say Nobel Prize and he actually corrected himself on that. He talked about hoping that the special counsel, Robert, her, who by the way, was quite a gentleman and very kindly, if you weren't a nursing home and you had senile dementia, you would want Robert here to be your caregiver because he didn't, he didn't, you know, jump ugly or anything or start yelling at Biden like many of us would. It was one of the, you know, usually when you're interviewing someone who's famous and, you know, a big celeb and you're taking some of their time, you want the interview to go on, right? But Biden was so bad that her and his deputy just have to keep saying, you know, Mr. President, we haven't got all day here, you know, we've got some other things to do. I got to pick up the kids at school and they were just trying to move him on. I mean, that's how, that's how bad he was. And you know, we forgot what a fax machine was. He had to be told twice within 15 minutes what a fax machine was. But it's, but wait, but wait, it's worse than that. Just talking about where the documents were going to go, the one that was getting the material to the University of Delaware, this is page 50. And in other words, one of them focused on taking the things that she thought Delaware might want or that would go to the, what's it called, you know, the federal government and his lawyer goes, the archives by the archives, or yeah, the archives. And then page 51. I assume they were going, some things were going to the Delaware archives, some things went to the, because I didn't direct them there, went to the Deloitte, same lawyer. National archives to the federal government. Yes, yes. You know what? Again, there's no reason for you or me to know the name of the archives, but he's been there for 50 years. He probably drove by the national archives every day. Oh, no, I forgot he took the train with Angelo. But he should know because they're, they're, they've indicted Trump and they should have indicted him for not returning the documents to the national archives. I think they have the claim on his body when he dies. Oh, Lord. So then he goes on and on. You got it. And then he tells, you know, the Boise cascade story, remember that one, Taylor? Refresh me. When he got out of law school, he didn't, he didn't want to work in the logging company. Yeah. Yeah, he went to work at the logging company. He never repeated that lie until, until at this thing, but he, I wanted to move to Idaho, I thought. And so I was going out an interview with Boise cascade. That's all I'd really end, but I took a job with the best known trial firm in Delaware. So he didn't, this time he didn't say he actually moved to Idaho. He just wanted to move to Idaho. So he's talking about his game is one big game. His life is one big game of the Milton Bradley game life. You just pick a card and you're a trucker now. Well, listen to this one. So he's at the law firm, right, and he can't, he hasn't passed the bar exam. So he's just like a glorified paralegal. And this started out as a question about the naval observatory and it's just veered totally out of control. We're on page 57 now. There was a young man we were representing. And this now worked page 58 and this poor kid is down a hundred foot vessel chimney scraping the hydrogen bubbles off the, off of the inside. They were made to shut the plant down at once every, whatever, about eight months or six months or a year, whatever it is. And he was wearing the wrong pants, wrong jeans and he, and a spark caught fire and got caught in the containment vessel and he lost part of his penis and one of his testicles and he was 23 years old. And so the senior partner turned to me and said, write a memo for tomorrow. We're going to make a motion to dismiss after presenting this case. I did. I tied an onion to my belt, which was a style at a time. And son of a bitch, it prevailed. Son of a bitch. There's that phrase again. The one who used it by getting the prosecutor in Ukraine fired. And I looked over at that, at that kid and his wife at home with two little kids and I thought son of a bitch, I'm in the wrong business. I'm not made for this. I'm going to continue now, I'm not taking, I just stopped to tell you that, even though you think I'm losing my mind, this is just a continuation. So we went into politics to screw over more people at the same time. I'm in the wrong business. I'm not made for this. And I, there was a famous club called the Wilmington Club. No blacks, Catholics are allowed, have been allowed to be members, the DuPont family name. We went to a place called the Wilmington Club and he thought he was doing. He said, take the lunch in Wilmington. I said, the only time I ever lied that I can remember looking somebody in the eye. And I mean sincerely, I said, my dad's coming in today. I was going to see, okay, he didn't give a damn where I went. I walked across and walked through to the second, the basement of a public building and walked in with a guy named Frank and said, and I said, I want a job as a public defender. He said, don't you work for Prickett? That's the big law firm. He said, he said, are you okay, like, what the hell's the matter with you? I quit and became a public defender. Well, well, Taylor, what do you make of that? How come no, how come no one's reporting this amazing story that he told? How about Mongolia? Give you a little bit of Mongolia. You know, I went to Mongolia and in great pictures, I unfortunately embarrassed the hell out of the leader of Mongolia. They were showing they were doing a, what they would do at the time of the invasion of the Mongols into Europe in the 14 and the 800s. And they, and then show what a normal day was or how they, how they bivouac. And so we're out in the middle of nowhere and they're looking up on a hill and we see this tiny line, you know, it's, it's a 20 mile horse race with all these kids under the age of 16 on bareback racing to come down. And you know, there are sumo wrestlers doing everything they do. And, and they said that Robert her was unkind to what, to Joe Biden, he had to listen to that. This was two days. I was there when the, when the Dalai Lama went into a pizza shop and he said, make me one with everything. Come on, man. And a sumo wrestler was there and you said to have seen what he did with the pepperoni. Good lord, so this is, there's a lot more of this Africa as a country, by the way. Did you know that? He, he, you didn't probably, we didn't know that and he, and he said, I, I didn't lie to anybody. I've never lied to anyone looking them in the eyes. And then he talks about how he made all the millions of dollars writing the book or having the ghost writer write the book and then he goes to New Hampshire two days ago and that, twice as he never made over 400,000 bucks, eight, four, four, five hundred, forty two, forty two, eight, four, four, five hundred, forty two, forty two. People say what the hell was I just hearing about on the air about some guy who lost one of his testicles and part of his that was not me. I was reading it. Don't give me the rosin crans and gold and gold and gold and stern treatment. I'm I'm just I'm just the messenger. Don't shoot the messenger. I was reading from the transcript and they keep saying well he was very busy. That was the day after the Israeli were the Israelis were invaded by the by the Nazi Muslim terrorists. He mentions he mentions that once on the first page I just talked to BB Netanyahu and there's no more mention of it. It goes on for two days. There's no more mention of Israel or Hamas or you know what he mentions Anthony Blinken very briefly. But he doesn't mention what he's doing or anything like that eight four four five hundred forty two forty two eight four four five hundred forty two forty two today's poll question is brought to you by Tobias Hearings Center in Quincy, Massachusetts. They help me get fitted with a pair of state-of-the-art hearing aids and they can help you too and for a limited time only mention how we car and receive up to two hundred dollars off your hearing aids that's TobiasHearing.com TobiasHearing.com it's a great it's a great place and they did a good job for me a great job for me and I can hear a lot better and everybody's happier including the mailroom manager. Taylor what is the poll question what are the results thus far today's poll question which you can vote in at HowieCarShow.com is if you were in Congress would you vote to force the sale or ban of TikTok? Not that I like TikTok but no I'm just I'm just saying I'm not going to give the government more power about it anything if I can help it and I try to learn from past mistakes and I didn't think the Patriot Act was such a was going to be such a big deal but it was mobilized by the deep state and it's it's become a cancer on on on political discourse on on on the bill of rights on Americans freedoms and I just don't want it to happen again with this this ban no I so I would I would not vote for it we'll see if you can flip this one by the end of the show 23% say no 77% say yes they would ban it yeah I doubt I can flip it to 50% maybe I can maybe maybe if people think about it again think about the Patriot Act and you know there were a bunch of there were just a bunch of hippie types and ACLU types when ACLU was still a legitimate organization that were just saying you know this could be abused you know any this is why the founding fathers you know insisted on the bill of rights to keep government under control this is why we have checks and balances and you know I I don't want to give I give any government no matter how benign the right to the right to do away with any any any speech no matter how malign or sinister it's just I it's just that's the way I feel about it and I'm led to know Massey from Kentucky as as opposed to this as well and again I know it's a red Chinese company and you know that they're it's I know it's it's bad for the for the youth of American it's being abused just look at what what shows up and is revealed by Libs of TikTok but I just think you know shutting down free speech at whatever form is worse than is worse than tolerating this this this sinister influence from from Red China 844 542 42 207 I came in a bit late to the show and I was kind of starting to wonder if you had had a stroke with that story then I realized it was just Biden you know what why what are you talking about what why don't more outlets show show this why don't they show this where or just just print it or put it up on you know those you don't have to take up valuable air time with it just say you know if you want to see some real ragtime just just go to our website and you know we we've pulled it out you don't have to read the whole 260s I think it's pretty easy column for a certain somebody if nobody else is doing this pretty easy column tailor you didn't have last night I was listening to one of my one of my old-time radio shows one of the English ones and the the inspector gave this assignment to a guy to one of his junior cops he said I'm sorry to make given you such a difficult task and the young cop said not difficult just tedious and that's that's inspector car investigates it was tedious you're right though Taylor it is a it is an extremely easy column all I have to do is print those two monologues that I that I read just now and the column is just about half done eight four four five hundred forty two forty two five oh wait that bill is about forcing you on musk to sell twitter in 2025 I think that's what he thinks I'm how we car live from the Matthews Brothers Studios eight four four five hundred forty two forty two eight four four five hundred forty two forty two six oh three the tick-tock bill will give the president special powers and we he'll be able to shut down any website he feels very dangerous yeah I think I think that's what it amounts to or that's that's the way it would be abused eventually I mean Biden says he'll sign the bill Pelosi's forward as somebody says you know how much more evidence the innate and the fact that all these democrats are on board the there were only 65 members of the house only 65 that voted against it that's that's really that's a red flag too in in my opinion and I've been following this thing very closely I got I got bigger or smaller I should I got smaller fish to fry than tik-tok but that's just my initial thought Pelosi said tik-tok toe that was her big moment today on the house floor tik-tok toe is she really the best person they can put out to talk about tik-tok tik-tok at least she didn't talk about cock robin did you see that in the uh in the in the deposition no Biden was talking about cock robin it's it's a it's a 15th century fairy tale cock robin wow he's going way back I'm gonna go back in the archives he was there when they made it up that's crazy yeah yeah well if you go back as Edward g Robinson hey come on I you like you like key largo you knew who I was talking about yes see the fact that you're defending yourself only proves my point um here's a new one how he had a yahoo news and you gov this is a poll that shows that there was no state of the union bump for joe biden um a lot of people fond over his speech on the left but a new yahoo news you gov survey conducted in the days immediately following biden's big speech shows zero improvement in perceptions of the president or in his standing against former president donald trump i thought the key was going to be when he mentioned snickers bars i thought that would bail him out you know that's why where people are going to go yeah you know what you know what murder thing i don't notice that myself before the sam hills going on with these snickers bars before this and there was five fewer potato chips in my Doritos ranch extra ranch before the speech 40 percent of americans approved of the job biden was doing as president and 56 disapprove today those numbers are 39 and 55 respectively i would actually say that considering how off putting i thought the speech was and the whole lakein lincoln riley situation if that didn't turn more people against him i would say they got off easy on that one because it could have been worse i think he should have had a lower even more people realizing how out of his mind he is and instead it seems pretty much unchanged well great so i think you know he he got also got lucky in the fact that only what 28 million people were watching it even though it was like a roadblock as they say on tv but the fact is nobody watches tv so it doesn't matter if there's a roadblock yeah the roadblock just goes on a different road yeah it doesn't really matter anymore because of netflix and everything else you know what happened to me how we win the state of the union was on i had friends over that night we had a dinner party so i was not focusing on the state of union but then it was on the tv like you said we had been watching something else and eventually it came on and i couldn't find the remote and then i did go into a little bit of a panic because i couldn't turn him off well you can't find in a situation like that when you can't find the remote grace you look for a brick yeah um the judge in trumps georgic case quashes certain charges this is from npr the judge overseeing the georgia election interference case against former press yesterday the word of the day was exonerated today it's quash i don't love quash i really don't because it sounds like it should be squashed squish squash or squished yeah it's it's too much of a non-word for me um this says the judge overseeing the georgia election that's judge scott mackafee has thrown out six criminal counts from the indictment i was reading today some some hot takes on this and i really thought bill o'Reilly hit the nail on the head he said a judge in georgia just threw out some charges against donald trump in the fullton county election case i suspect that happened to blunt criticism when the judge allows d_a_ fanny willis to continue despite her scandal i could be wrong so he's not like you know dead set on it but he does get that feeling the speculation yeah and i kind of tend to agree with it when i saw that headline i thought oh why would he be doing this but you know the thing is did the judge really have a choice about throwing these things out now that it's now that it's come out in the book on the record in a the the slobbering hagiography of fanny willis that that the the phone conversation again not only was it the quotes were totally made up that appeared in the washington post that drove the story but the phone call itself even before it was it was fabricated was recorded illegally it was good that those charges were going to be thrown out eventually at some at some level but howie if they have to disqualify fanny willis from this case and you know obviously nathan weighed as well aren't they just gonna have to redo everything anyway like aren't they're going to be new do they bring new charges in that case did they have to kind of start from scratch or do somebody step in and pick it up i think the case gets kicked to the uh to the attorney general to to decide what to do and he's a republican and uh then you got the state senate is is conducting these investigations and they have subpoena power they're calling in all the same people and uh they're gonna they're gonna probably remove her as prosecutor if i don't you know even if he tries to leave her on the uh on the her and a boyfriend on the case i don't think that it's necessarily going to go to trial before the election and once the election's over one way or the other no one's going to care about this if he leaves them off the case grace when people get indicted politicians a lot of times they resign and it's not because they're shamed it's because they know that it's they're a less tempting target if they're out of office yeah if he allows fanny willis to stay on as the d a in this case that would be insane to me and i've seen a lot howie i've i've been around for a while now watching these things i understand that most democrats are untouchable um they they're they're like teflon nothing applies to them but even so this is kind of a different level oh yeah no it is by the way officer mark said he was referring to the story about uh biden you know writing the memo that really screwed over the guy who lost a testicle and part of his you know what so biden screwed over an injured chimney sweep sounds like he was having a flashback to a scene from mary pop-ins chim chimney chimney chimney chim chimney remember that scene can't wait for that cut to be put into hate mail chim chimney chim chim chim chim and sweep is as lucky as lucky could be unless he loses his jobson but it's not such a ball it's not a job i'd like to have it all you sound like an evil witch what character is this all right now howie there's been a lot of store closings um most of the stores i saw ancoulter talking about this i thought it was a good point she said none of these stores are being honest about why they're closing they'll have to like give these weird answers uh well the dollar tree is closing one thousand stores after surprise fourth quarter loss surprise we prefer to use the term unexpected here at the howie car show approximately one thousand family dollar and dollar tree stores are scheduled to be closed after botched business decisions and a surprise fourth quarter loss with a company shares taking a tumble yeah i mean this is another indication that people are just spending all their money in the wonderful bynomics economy on food and fuel right i mean i i don't think i i know what ancoulter saying that it's crime but i don't think it's all crime that and to be fair she wasn't saying it about this one thousand of these stores are are in oakland yeah no and to be fair i just thought of that but she wasn't saying it about the dollar tree she was talking about another store because there was one recently this week that also closed but something i wanted to say what about taco what about those taco bells in oakland you know they they closed four of them and they said they said that um that that that they were uh i'm sorry i just got a text i was looking at it i lost my train of thought i apologize they said that they were closing the stores in oakland because they were afraid that uh for the help was going to be uh attacked and robbed and killed and everything but they're going to leave the drive-throughs open i i don't see how that's going to help matters because isn't that why in and out burger and all these other places are closing down period because if if people are in the drive-through line they're even easier to rob aren't they yeah well i also saw i think it was in oakland where they were some companies were telling their employees not to leave for lunch like just stay you know bring your own lunch don't try to walk anywhere and go to lunch um but in this case this does surprise me about dollar tree stores because because of the biden economy a lot of people have been going to dollar tree stores who might not have in the past they've been going there um as one of their options to get things and so uh you would think that in this economy they'd actually be having a boom but apparently some bad business decisions right but i mean is there there are other there's another store it there was a called dollar general apparently it's better run yeah it says dollar tree outbid competitor dollar general to buy family dollar for over eight billion dollars in 2015 but the merger did not yeah so i mean sometimes you sometimes the you know a company swallows one of its competitors and it it kills the it kills the company that bought it yeah i like dollar tree they have a lot of good glassware there you wouldn't expect it but good glasses um how that's it for me thank you very much all right thank you eight four four five hundred forty two forty two auctions are one of the oldest forms of commerce known to man auctions are how economies determine values for assets and commodities auctions are not a fire sale at a discounted if you buy two or more flip locks to tell us more about flip lock is the company's founder anna rigor anna thanks for being with us here on the howie car show hi howie thanks for having me now this is we we're selling today on the on the show the the residential flip lock but there's also a large a larger industrial flip lock which the city of revere just put into all of its public schools correct that's correct and why why would they why would they purchase the why would they go with the flip lock system as opposed to as opposed to some other type of lock or security device to prevent bad people from getting into the schools well the main thing with flip lock is it empowers everybody to be able to go into action so as it stands most schools have a key that a teacher can use to lock the door lock the the lock on the door but that means nobody else in the classroom has the power to lock the door but with flip lock all you have to do is flip it it drops it locks it reminds the kids of the next action step because it says call 9-1-1 on it but then there's also emergency key for person now and everybody to be able to get in in the event that somebody locks the door that should not have locked it so it's something that would meet in the middle for everybody it wasn't something that you know where you only have six percent or less of your population being able to go into action now everybody in the classroom is able to do something about a situation like that and everybody can go back to be in students because they don't need to think about anymore what are they going to do during an active threat situation they know exactly what action they're going to go into because they're going to flip that lock and it's sitting on the door there's nothing to go find or look for you just flip it and it goes into action right away and so I think with flip lock by giving with our kids the world that they're living in now that none of us I didn't grow up with that thinking about a bad guy's going to come in to hurt you it's really sad that we even have to have this but we want them to feel safe when they're there and how do we do that I mean stacking desk against the door in this day and age shouldn't even be an option they should absolutely have the tools to feel safe and feel that they can do something about it and you know you mentioned this morning when I was talking to you off air that you know if you have a kid that's just moving into an apartment or a dorm room or something they may not realize that the the prior occupants prior occupants have keys and probably the locks haven't been changed and so if you if you want some extra security you just get a flip lock so if somebody has a key they can't they can't get into the room right so with the home lock it was created with our kids in mind our kids are moving into their own apartments my daughter was in her first apartment we were concerned how are we going to make sure somebody just doesn't not come in or like you said somebody extended has a key because as you know when you live in a place like that somebody has the key but then again we have another son that's in a communal type place he's a duck in Oregon and he's got three roommates well I don't know what's going on you saw what happened with the last group this is the same thing they could lock that in their bedrooms and so it's not something that you you have to use on your front door only you can put it in your bedroom I have one in my bedroom so when my husband's traveling I just locked myself in my room you know and that's it I don't I feel like if somebody were to get in my house at least I would buy time to know if somebody was trying to get into my bedroom door and you know I mean everybody's got error so many people have ring cameras now on their front doors and oh okay so you see the you see the person who got into your house but that's not going to do you much good if they if you if you're dead and they put out an all-points bulletin on the person who killed you because of the ring camera you want something that's going to keep you alive you know and to keep you safe and that's why and that's why that's why it's a good it's a good supplement to even the the highest tech security systems outside the house or the apartment yes yes and even even some people you know they have kids and my friends have said hey Anna you know what I put it up really high because I don't want my kid to get out of the door open the door if somebody knocks on the door even you know if I'm in the kitchen so that's another what thing you can do for it and then like you know my mother-in-law she doesn't like to turn the locks because it's hard for her to lock an unlock so she put that on we put that on now she locks her door because she's not worried about being able to get out because the home one is smaller and all you have to do is flip it and flip it over you know to get back out and the other thing and Anna another advantage of the flip lock is there's no there's no cameras that could break and there's no monthly fees either that's right it's a one-time buy that's for sure and we made it tested it to make sure that it would do what it said it's going to do and it's been tested to hold over 1,669 pounds and like you said that's about 10 times stronger than a normal regular deadbolt yeah I never you know I you know you throw the bolt you you know you got the chain bolt someplace some people have both and you just say I don't know how much good this is going to do if somebody really wants to come into the house you know or the apartment so anyway that while supplies last you can purchase the official flip lock it's a $60 value this is the residential model the original one for just $30 it
