The National Weather Service is David Roth on the hail they saw in parts of Kansas. 2.75 inch diameter, so baseball sized hail, damaging car windows. Two miles east, southeast of Barnard Springs. There's been a severe thunderstorm watch in effect for parts of Kansas, Missouri, Illinois and Iowa through this morning. Then the storm will move to the east. That storm isn't expected to wind down until tomorrow. More trouble in Haiti as gangs up in things there. The AP's Karen Shummas. A proposal to install new leaders in Haiti appears to have crumbled as some political parties rejected a plan to create a presidential council that would manage the transition. The panel would be responsible for choosing a new interim prime minister and council of ministers. Jean-Jacques Moise, an ex-senator and presidential candidate who's teamed up with former rebel leader Guy Filipe, announced his rejection of the proposed council backed by the international community. It was hoped that the council would lead the way down a new path for the Caribbean country that has been overrun by gangs. The violence has closed schools and businesses and disrupted daily life across the country. I'm Karen Shummas.
