Ify news on Ben Thomas, the judge overseeing the Georgia election interference case has dismissed six of the charges in the indictment, including three against former President Trump. John Acevedo at Emory University's School of Law explains why. "He threw them out for an interesting reason. He knows there was more than enough facts alleged in the indictment, but this is to turn you forgot to state which law was being violated." The order leaves intact many other charges, and Acevedo says the ruling does not necessarily kill the case. "This shows a bit of sloppy work on the District Attorney's office. It's a small error, it's something that can be remedied, but it's going to cause quite a bit of delay." On Capitol Hill, the House passed a bill that could lead to a ban of the video app, TikTok. Sucker McGonney heads to tales. The popular app is owned by Chinese tech firm ByteDance, which lawmakers say is beholden to the Beijing government. They worry China could demand access to the data of TikToks more than 150 million American users. Washington Republican Kathy McMurris Rogers says the bill requires ByteDance to sell TikTok if it wants to keep operating in the U.S. "The choice is TikToks." But California Republican Tom McClintock says the choice should actually rest with American consumers. "The answer to authoritarianism is not more authoritarianism." The bill's Senate prospects are unclear. President ByteDance said he will sign the legislation if it passes. Sucker McGonney, Washington. The weapons supervisor on the Alec Baldwin movie Rust will be sentenced next month for her conviction last week for involuntary manslaughter. Judge Mary Marlow Summer has scheduled sentencing for armorer Hannah Gautier as Reid for April 15th. Gautier as Reid faces up to 18 months in prison and a $5,000 fine. She was the armorer on the set of the movie Rust. Prosecutors say she unwittingly brought live ammunition onto the set when it was expressly forbidden and she failed to follow basic gun safety protocols. Actor Alec Baldwin was pointing a gun during a rehearsal in 2021 when it went off, killing cinematographer Helena Hutchins. Baldwin will be tried for involuntary manslaughter in July. I'm Archie Zaraletta. An actor Olivia Munn has revealed she was diagnosed with breast cancer last year and underwent a double mastectomy.
