AP News, I'm Ed Donohue, the prosecutor handling the election interference case in Georgia against former President Donald Trump is facing a choice. The AP's Mike Balsamo reports on today's ruling by a judge. Fulton County District Attorney Fannie Willis must either step aside from the case or remove a special prosecutor who she was accused of having a romantic relationship with. This ruling from Judge Scott McAfee really sets the tone here for whether or not this case can proceed. The judge did not rule the relationship between Willis and Nathan Wade was a conflict of interest, but questioned the timing of the relationship. Donald Trump wanted Fannie Willis off the case. The U.S. and its allies are warning Iran to back off a deal to provide Russia with ballistic missiles for the war with Ukraine. Here's the AP's Sagar McGonny. The Biden administration's been warning of the possibility for months. The United States is concerned that Russian negotiations to acquire close-range ballistic missiles from Iran are actively advancing. National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said in January if a deal went through, the response would be severe. Today, with U.S. officials worried a deal is imminent, the U.S. and G7 allies say they will pile new sanctions on Tehran if it moves forward.
