AP News, good morning, I'm Ed Donohue. Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee ruled District Attorney Fani Willis has a choice going forward in the handling of the election interference case against former President Donald Trump. The AP's Mike Balsamo reports it involves the special prosecutor Willis hired. They had a romantic relationship. The ruling basically says that the Trump case can't move forward unless Willis steps aside and removes the entire Fulton County District Attorney's Office. Or Nathan Wade, the special prosecutor who was hired by Willis, resigned in withdrawals from this case. While Wade has been a central figure, it is very possible that the case could continue without him. An attorney for Donald Trump says they respect the court's decision, but believe the judge did not afford appropriate significance to the prosecutorial misconduct of Willis and Wade. White House counsel Ed Siskel wrote a letter to House Speaker Mike Johnson asking him to end efforts to impeach the president over unproven claims Biden benefited from the business dealings of his son and brother. Johnson acknowledged it's unclear if the probe will disclose impeachable offenses. Severe weather is blamed for at least three deaths in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana and Arkansas.
